Pickerington ohio location is the worst food i have ever eaten! I have gotten throw awau food every time I've. Eaten thete! What a waste of money

Starting in Springfield, IL, Steak 'n' Shake burgers, fries and milk shakes have been some of my favorites, The burgers always were thick and juicy, the fries were great and the milkshakes among the best. Some 25 years ago, it was a treat to lunch at a Steak 'n' Shake restaurant just off I-80, so you can understand how disappointed Valentiine's Day by the meal I had in restaurant 331. The burgers were much smaller thna I remember and too well-done. The fries were pitifully tiny. My shake was thick and good, however. At the meal's end, my summation: Losing the love of today's Steak 'n' Shake is like the loss of an old family friend.

I live in MT Vernon Il.. stopped at steak and shake with my family after the movies to eat. We got there waited a short time for our table. Girl was friendly. Ready to order our food and drinks but nobody ever came to our table to do so. Walked by our table several times but said nothing. Waited thirty minutes and still nothing so we left. Very poor and rude service.

Apparently it depends on which steak and shake you go to to get good service. I go to the tinley park, Illinois location and this one has fantastic quick service. You are waited on and served properly, and the food is always good. I've went also to other locations and by far the worst is Joliet , Illinois. Not only do they take up to ten minutes to seat you. There is a good chance you will not get served!!! I one time got seated after someone else, who ended up sitting behind me. The waitress actual came to our table first, and my friend notified her that there was someone waiting first. She said that she was "told" to go to our table, took out order, and NEVER returned to the older gentlemen to serve him. He walked out!!! This happened 3 more times during our one sitting! Another couple had to sit themselves! We waited 10 minutes to get a drink, even longer for food. Complained to the manager who could, naturally, care less about the customer. We walked out. Very unfortunate business operations.

I live in greenville, tx and I come to the Rockwall, Tx location about every couple of months to enjoy the food BUT every single time we come here the service is BAD!! Waiting for up to 10 minutes for a server to notice they have a table then another 10 min to remember to come back by to take our order. Once finished and after ordering shakes our plates sat on the table for the remainder of our visit and our desserts sat for at least 5 minutes before being brought to us. On top of that 6 tables sat dirty!! I can't understand how the service continues to be bad. It's completely unorganized!!!! Very poor management of the employees and their responsibilities!!

I literally found glass in my milkshake. GLASS--- in my mouth. Ad I swolled some. I called to complain and the Girl basically hung up on me.

I just called ahead of time a pick up order. I ordered a milk shake and an apple pecan grilled chicken salad. The milk shake was AMAZING! The salad on the other hnd was just gross to even look at to me. The lettuce was all ice berg, "wilty" and all off color. Not to mention the salad only filled half the bowl. I know this company is famous for "steak burgers", but not putting any effort into the salads is just a shame.

I went and ate at the Robinson location, it was the worst service I ever had at a restaurant ( if u even wanna call it that ) . My server was the dumbest kid who didn't have a clue what was going on .... He took my order wrong.. It took a good twenty min for our food to come out and he let my burger sit in the window for almost ten min while they were STILL cooking my boyfriends meal...I asked for a refill on my pop and he forgot to come back with it !!!! I couldn't believe how horrible the experience was... Ill probably never go back because all the employees are retarded! Never go to Robinson location steak and shake

I ate at the Steak n Shake at 9560 Regency Square Blvd N Jacksonville,Fl. The atmosphere was okay, but the waiters had white shirts, but they looked like they needed bleaching. They were slow, the food I ordered was aweful, the salad had the lettuce center hard pieces and it wasn't fresh it looked like it had been sitting unwrapped in the refrigerator. Food items were not calculated correctly . I will never eat there again. Years ago it was a great place to stop in and eat but it has went down hill. Just thought you would want to know, maybe you can whip it back into a nice place to eat. Good Luck!

We waited almost 1/2 hour to get waited on when other customers who were seated after us were already getting their food. We finally walked out and don't plan on ever eating at the Kentwood, Michigan Steak n Shake again.

Although the shake and burger I had was fine, I can't say the rest for the associates. Most of them did not know how to handle customers, the kitchen crew were not wearing hair nets as required by Florida food law. Rating is poor.

Steak n Shake corporate officers I ordered the chili and I was very surprised it was so bad. I had to throw it away. Thanks. P.S The burgers and shakes are very good.

Steak and Shake located at s. Emerson and 465 has big problems. I have photos of the problems. I have complained to the young manager and it continues to happen. No one every calls me to fix the problem. The managers there don't manage they do other things. It is terrible.

I went to Steak and Shake in Clermont FL with my family. We are new here so it was our first time. Although I believe the food would have been good if it wasn't cold, the whole experience was chaotic. I was not impressed. It felt like there was no order. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and the rest of my family ordered burgers. My sandwich was COLD. I would have sent it back but it took 35 minutes to get. Our fries were look warm also. And they messed up my sons order. It was a Saturday afternoon around 2 so you would think it would have been alittle more organized at that time. I will say the staff was VERY courteous and apologetic. They very much were. But that doesn't discount ordering food and it coming cold. Just thought I would share this!! Especially just moving here and having a large family who loves burgers! This would have been an ideal spot for us. Thank you

I always wished I didn't stop for food after I got it home, I swear they pour grease all over the bread, sandwich, and even the wrapper. Very unhappy, I shouldhave brought it into the store and made them eat it cause I know they wouldn't have

I think it's useful that steak n Shake is cutting everyone hours to 28, or below to keep from paying a portion of our health insurance. They are going as far as to hire a lot of new people to pick up the hours they are taking from us. I have been with them a year, there are people who have been with them over 5 years, and this is how we are treated. Just want to let everyone know what goes on behind the scenes. They aren't as great as you think.

went to steak and shake this morning. we dont tend to eat out but we are moving and have all of are kitchen packed up. i thought steak and shake would be a healthier less greasy choice verse mc donalds. one of the things i order is a breakfast bowl .... got all the way home to eat breakfast before loading up the moving van and to my surprise my breakfast bowl was just burnt hasbrowns, a baby spoon full of eggs that appeared to be leftovers from a plate inside to diner, and just a piece of bacon thrown in. it was NOT a breakfast bowl by any means. never going back again because if you cant hire employees that care or know how to cook food then your not worth my time or money.

We regular eat breakfast at the Mt. Juliet, Tn location. I may have to find a new place for breakfast. The corporate version of how to cook hash browns is horrible. They are not allowed to be served crispy but are cooked soft on the outside and uncooked on the inside. I am not sure of the corporate person that has the final say but it's my last time eating breakfast at this location. There is a Waffle House the next street and they actually cook the hash browns in case someone needs a lesson in cooked not raw food.

I am a senior citizen who has long been a fan of Steak n Shake. I really like most of the things they serve but my all time favorite is chile mac with extra meat. Last week my friend and I went to our weekly visit to the Steak n Shake on First Capital Drive in St. Charles Missouri and ordered our favorite meals. When my chile mac came the meat looked different than usual but I didn't say anything. The meat was terrible and I could not eat most of my meal. I got sick shortly after leaving the resturant and vomitted. Niether of us could believe that could be the quality of the food we normally ate there. I was sick most of the day.
