Steak n Shake Corporate Office & Headquarters

I came into the Steak and Shake store Monday Sept 6th with an E-cigarette inhaler device; It was about7:15pm. A 12 yr old girl complains about me having the inhaler in my mouth to the manager on duty. I was able to finish my meal and the 12 yr old girl already left. But the manager on duty wated to be a prejudicial vigilanty and ask and threatened to call the law when I said i was not going to put the device out;because I can't its a device not a cigarette! I was finished with my meal anyhow and I left. I told the manager I would not return and blew water vapor towards her as the water vapor evaporated. I have patronize Steak and shake at Rockhill,SC 2 or 3 time a weak for the past 2 months but not anymore. Your manager owes me an appology. I will tell many conservative radio talk shows including Cigar Dave about this inciddent. Your manager acted stupidly arrogantly vigilanty that no smoking laws have created; a discrimination of behavior that does not bother anybody.

VERY WEEKEND IS MY TIME TO BRING MY KIDS. TO THE STEAK N SHAKE ON PLEASANTHILL IN DULUTH GA. THE ONE WEEKEND THAT WE HAD TO GO VERY LATE!!! I PULL UP AND SEE A YOUNG MALE WHO WORKS FOR STEAK OUTSIDE SMOKING 'I THINK THAT'S NASTY AS IT IS'.BUT THE SMOKE CAME INTO MY CAR AND HE WAS SMOKING MARIJUANA.DID NOT EVEN CARE THAT I PULLED UP.SO I SAT FOR A SEC THEN HE WENT IN AND AT THE DOOR HE PULLED OUT SOME SPRAY AND SPRAYED HIMSELF.NOW I DO NOT WANT TO GO IN BUT I HAVE KIDS THAT WOULD CRY IF I DID NOT. SO I'M SO UPSET I GO IN AND THIS NASTY MAN IS WORKING THE KITCHEN.I WANTED TO SAY SOMETHING BUT I HAD MY KIDS AND I WAS GOING TO JUST NEVER SAY A WORD JUST NEVER COME BACK BUT ITS SO UNFAIR THAT STEAK N SHAKE IS NOT DRUG TESTING OFTEN OR KEEPING AN EYE OUT ON THIS YOUNG STAFF THAT THEY HAVE.SO I JUST LET MY KIDS ENJOY THERE LAST NIGHT AT STEAK AND SHAKE. I DID GET TO SEE THE NAME TAG DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE I WAS WATCHING HIM THE TIME I WAS THERE I WAS SO MAD AT HIM. BUT HE HIS A TALL BLACK MAN TAG SAYS DANILE SLIM BLACK MALE- I'M VERY UPSET

Steak n Shake is not good to their employees either. They lack leadership and team work . It is difficult when you are almost 50 to work for a boss who has a big head and is only 19 years of age. I would not recommend this company for eating or employment either one.

the steak & shake on holt road in Indianapolis In the floor was very dirty and unclean would not eat there any more some body should report that to the health department

I was in Steak n shake in Lebanon, Missouri and I saw the cook who was cooking the burgers DROP the SPATULA on the FLOOR and then pick it back up and continue to USE the SPATULA that FELL on the FLOOR. When I went to pay the bill the guy (a manager) asked if everything was okay and I said it would've been if I had seen the guy cooking the burgers DROP the SPATULA on the FLOOR and then PICK it up and CONTINUE to cook with it. Well the guy at the register told me he didn't do that because he was standing there and he used a different SPATULA and I said NO Sir he didn't and he said in a smart ass way yes he did. And I said whatever and finished paying for my meal. The Guy was SO RUDE he didn't even hand me back my debit card he just walked away from the register with an attiude and was a real ass. And yes he was a manager rather he was a shift manager or what he was still a manager and my daughter and I both saw that guy DROP the SPATULA on the FLOOR and then PICK IT UP and CONTINUE TO USE IT. SO the guy more less called two people liars. I have worked fast food for years and it really pisses me off when I saw what I saw and then have somebody tell me I didn't see what I saw. So I will be sure and tell EVEYONE I know not to EAT at that store. I was very upset by the time I lefted there. I'm not a liar and I hate to be called a liar. So DONT WORRY I'll never EAT there again and I'll make damn sure my family & friends know not to eat at that store. Thank You Brenda Paul

Never so embarassed by my service in my life. Told employee that the last time I visited resteraunt I didn't receive my cheese on the side for fries that I paid for He said I can't give out free food. I told him forget it and left.... I really don't think I need to lie about a twentyfive cent purchase................. MSMILLS
