closing

The sign says 24 hour's bull visited the on Cleveland ave in Columbus ohio and first they started closing their dinning room at night now I pulled up at 11.30 at night and the manger was putting a sign over the drive through speaker closed and rudly said closed keep driving last time they gave me somones elses food and not mine. Why should I go back ? A ex regular customer

Bad service

We go to Steak n Shake several times a month, or we did until last night. We were seated promptly, recieved our drinks rather quickly. But we waited 45 mnutes for our food. When we recieved it cold, we had told the manager on duty and his only reply was 'well i'll take care of the bill'. No sorry or i'll get you some hot food coming out. We told him no thank you' we were leaving and he replied with ' would you like cups for your drinks'. I would have understood if the place was busy, but they weren't, waitresses were standing around.

I have to say that my experience tonight (3/21), while going through the drive up window, will keep me away from Steak-N-Shake for a very long time. I have had a problem with my order being incorrect in the past, but nothing like tonight. I waited behind 3 other cars for over 20 minutes! Once the car in front of me got up to order they waited, again, and then pulled off in a hurry without ordering. Once I pulled up, I too was asked to wait. I was finally able to order (single with cheese no tomato and a vanilla milkshake). As I pulled up to pay there wasn't anyone ahead of me. I commented on the wait and the girl just laughed and said yeah. My burger had no cheese!

Unbelievable!

We arranged to have a rather large order fulfilled with 7 days advance notice. No one could give me the final price until I went to pick it up. prohibitively expensive! They cancelled the order at the last minute last year, but I thought we would use them again and give them another chance. No more! The employees are friendly enough, but I can't understand how Corporate picks their management!

Allergies

As a steak n shake customer for over 30 yrs., I feel it is in line to request you address a cleaning issue. Concerning your Forsyth, Il store, the ceiling ports are coated with dirt/ dust and needs to be removed, cleaned (to like new condition), and replaced. I am sure you will agree, resolving this issue will prevent setting off our allergies when visiting your location. Thanks in advance

We had 14 people on a mission trip to Nashville March 19th. We arrived at you Clarksville, Tn. store about 8:15p.m. A young man with personality plus met us at the door and seated up almost immediately. He took our order for 14 people with no notes, and he nailed it without a single mistake. He cleaned up a spill by one of the children with a smile and we were in total awe. You have one exceptional employee. I failed to get his name, but he is a credit to your company.

It was terrible the chili was at the botom of the bag getting grease on it and the other stuff was all over the place i mean come on.

need better management

I placed my order in the drive through in Branson mo and sat in line for over 20 mins. I get to the window and they tell me they aren't taking cards. I go in to speak to the manager and she was extremely rude and acted like she didnt have time for a PAYING customer. Iasked her why we weren't informed about cards not being accepted and she said she had just posted a sign up. That didn't help me since she posted it after we had sat there forever. I asked for a corporate number and she laughed and said "go ahead and call them they won't do anything either its not my fault the cards are down" and was really hateful after that. I WILL NEVER visit this store again and I will be telling everyone I know including my loyal customers to never visit this joke of a restaurant.

Stolen credit card information

I had dinner at the Wellington Fla. store. After paying the bill at the counter my card information stolen and sold an use in ArK. I notified my bank and your store laugh about it. So I will send this message to you and your company. I will pressure charges.

Poor general management in regards to interating with the public

My overall view o the o Fallon il steak n shake gave wonderful and friendly service also attentive while eating, and once the manager cashed me out she was dismissive and lacked a great deal of people skills. In my opinion she should have someone managing her and teaching her how to appropriately deal with the public. Obviously she is not a people person just from get attitude towards myself.

SNS Richmond

This is the worst fast food restaurant I've ever been to. The manager looks all of 17 years old. We were once there for OVER two hours and hadn't even received our order. The next time we came in we waited 45 minutes on drinks alone. We walked out both times. The third time, and the last, we received chicken strips which were not fully cooked and pink in the middle!! DO NOT VISIT SNS Richmond, Indiana!!!!!

Steak n shake fudging with scheduling numbers

The Lake st louis mo steak and shake Does not schedule its employers correctly and puts different things down to make it look like there is appropriate coverage. These poor young 16 year old kids are being worked like Slaves without proper breaks and not allowed to leave When their shift ends. Some having to stay for hours after And working 8 hours with no breaks. This needs to be checked out!! Tooooo many complains that its slow Service, well no wonder. I want to know who i can contact to Have this legally checked out. My daughter Quit finally and her friend too because of this. Its not right.

Horrible Service

We literally just left the Steak n Shake in Valparaiso, IN...we sat for 10 minutes before our server came, and never saw her again at our table. We watched her just standing behind the waiter station texting in her phone (have a pic to confirm) and playing with her hair. It was so gross seeing her hands in her hair and all over her face and knowing she could be touching our food, drinks, or silverware...How disgusting. Another waitress brought our food. We ordered a shake that I finally had to ask someone else to get being we were done eating and it still hadn't come. The silverware was dirty and there was a fly in my husband's water. I had a salad that 40% of it was Brown and wilted. The restaurant should be shut down by the health department...

Disgusting

My husband and I just left Stake and Shake at 5901 University Dr. NW, Huntsville, AL. We have never eaten there before. Waitress was friendly but distracted by two young men she was flirting with. I ordered a milkshake that took 30 minutes to get to me after asking where it was. We had to leave for appointment so we asked to have our food bagged Togo after all it took 45 minutes to get it. The food was disgusting. My burger was so I over cooked it was crunchy! My husband's chicken sandwich was dry and over cooked. Left his bacon off. Food is disgusting. Should be closed!!!!! Waste of our hard earned money!!!!!!

Steak and shake have always been my favorite place to eat whenever I am in a town where one is located, that s until I visited Southhaven ,MS location. The service was bad,but the quality of the food was so poor, i could not eat it. That will be my last time eating at steak and shake, that's shame because in the past I really enjoyed eating at steak and shake.

Stake and Shake stole from me!

I live in bloomington Indiana. I order a New York style dog and a western bbq burger. When I got to the window they informed me they no longer carried the New York dog. I said ok refund my money for the dog and I'll pay for the sandwich. They said ok ! Instead of refunding me my money they charged me twice! I informed them and they haven't responded. I guess this company is ok with theft. I will see them in court since I have given them an opportunity to make this right! Still nothing!

I worked at steaknshake for almost six months and couldn't take it anymore the other servers and managers and rude and don't care about anyone but them self half the people were high every time they came to work. My manager wouldn't even give me my check after I gave them my two weeks. I will never go to a steaknshake again after working there and seeing everything that goes on.

I have worked at SnS for a couple months now and when I got hired it was the opposite of what I expected. The managers are getting high in the back of the building with employees. also being fired for putting Cherry Syrup in a paid for drink before you went to pay for it . She told him it was to late to pay when he had it in his hand . Tammy brings her son to work and he just does everything from hitting other employees to free food to being in the waitress waiting station rolling on the floor. I am an UNHAPPY EMPLOYEE an as of right now I am looking for a new place of employment.

bad service

Went to the Elizabethtown Ky S&S Tues.night 2-19-13 Got seated, there were two other tables beside ours sat for 10 min. or so, no one came to our table, we got up and left. Service there is awful. The food is fine for what it is,would go more often if we could get service. I have had good service there once and so so a few times but most of the time is is awful. I have been a server for 49 yrs and still working. I would be ashamed if I gave that kind of service. It will be a long time before I try it again. There is no star rating for this S&S.
