Put 10 gal. of regular Shell fuel in car in Kingman, Ariz. Had to stop in Searchlight, Ariz. b/c ck. engine light came on. Car would not restart and needed towed 40 miles to Henderson, Nev. Honda dealership. Tech discovered DIESEL FUEL in tank!! Destroyed the cat converter, and ruined the engine. Hard to pinpoint station from receipt b/c there was no address- just Shell. Called both stations after getting merch. # from credit card co. and both denied it was their place and stated they had no problems! Have sent a mountain of documentation to Shell, emails, phone calls, absolutely no followup. Calling their posted number to talk to a supervisor get the generic "he's in a meeting when can he call you back?" But of course he NEVER DOES! What gives? Shell had no problem making sure the fuel I got was charged to my credit acct. promptly and accurately...but they can't seem to tell me exactly which station it came from??? have already filed a complaint in Ariz. w/ the State Dept. of Weights & Measures, guess contacting BBB is next and perhaps a lawyer! I guess my biggest mistake was stopping at a Shell station, something I will never do again.
3101 S Providence Rd E Green Meadows Rd Columbia, MO 65203 I am writing that above location of shell gas station is full of rude people working. It really disgustes me that people like that work for shell. Shell will lose my business and my families. They scammed me. Not only did I fall because of the wet floor and no signs put on for wet floor. The store is in poor condition I would expect something better from shell. I also saw rats by the counter. The gas pumps are all out of order. The building was so nasty. By far, the worst station I have been too. Please have a look. Certainly do not expect this from shell. Don't know how they still have the franchise.
We're wondering if anyone at the Shell Oil company ever checks on the conditions of the restroom facilities of various franchises. We frequently make trips from Ann Arbor, Michigan to Madison, Wisconsin, traveling along I-94 in Michigan. During the summer season we stop at mile 46, the Hartford exit, to buy fruit from McFarland's fruit stand which is adjacent to the Hartford Value Market on the north side of the highway. In order to minimize stops along the route, we often fill up at the Hartford Value Market Shell station, despite the fact that their prices are usually 10 cents higher than other Shell stations along the way. What distresses us is that the restrooms, particularly the men's facility, are worn, do not appear clean, the water faucets leak, there is often no soap, no place to dry your hands and the locks on the doors are either non-existent or do not work. This is a busy station and it looks to us as if it is prosperous enough to invest a little more money in cleaning up and repairing the restrooms. If it were not for the fruit stand we would not stop there at all, and, in fact, once it closes for the season, we don't bother.
I would rate Shell's customer service lower than 1 star but it is not an option. Shell just threw out their 5% rebate on Shell gas purchases and dropped the 1% off everything else to 0.5%. I had this Shell card for over 15 years. I attempted numerous times to talk with management at Shell's Houston Corporate office. I was told 3 times, I would get a call from management.....never happened. Fourth time I called, I was informed there was no one I could talk to. I cancelled my Shell Mastercard and will no longer purchase Shell products. For everyone's information, there is a card out there that gives cash reward of 3% off "ANY" brand of gas, 2% off groceries, and 1% off everything else. That and no ridicilious rules of what is/isn't spent every month. This card is easily found via internet search of "Reward Credit Cards". Regardless of record quarterly earnings, Shell continues to pump up their "bottom-line" with no sincere attempt to reward loyality. Goodbye Shell.............
Your register person at your shell station at powerline rd and sw10th st in deerfield beach fl.is a rude lady. Every time I go in there about 2 to 3 times a week she makes a big deal about me buying an alcoholic bevererage. She gets all consumers in the place involved in my purchase. It was 8:43 on monday the 15th of august. She is a spanish woman with black hair down to her shoulders and I am tired of it. I spend over 700 a month in gas and supplys but no more.
Maybe some of these people complaining should look up the 60,000,000.00 judgement against Shell in Eugene Oregon-Personally I have boycotted all Shell, shell products and services and anyone who knows the truth and goes there anyways.....Georgia pacific has also had a new run in with federal law having to pay 24,000,000.00 in fines......Shell and they're partners are just as screwed up as they're Grampas during the 2nd world war......Look into the same connections and you will see the truth......I,m off to go lawyer shopping due to related issues....P.S. Don't be afraid of these punks and report all activity to the US Justice dept. ,TITAN,FBI and as well as other groups higher up the food chain of justice....I don't think local enforcement is that bad its just low rung authorities have a past record of being somewhat cowardly and over-worked................
i stopped at my local shell station to get fuel all i got was a tank full of water the company will not do anything where i had to have my truck repaired. our company spends around 2000.00 per week for fuel for our trucks but no longer will they get our business. it is a shame that a large company will not stand behind there product.they havent heard the last of this i have contacted the local news and they want to do a report on what happened. and i have all the paper work to comfirm the trouble i had. when i get done they will lose more than 687.50 in business that is what it took to get my chevy 3500 repaired. and also the loss of our company business. guess when you are a large company it doesnt matter who you shit on..and this isnt the last post
I WENT IN THE SHELL IN HOUSTON TX, ON SOUTHWEST BLVD, TO PUT MONEY ON MY PREPAID VISA CARD, AND THERE IS A YOUNG BLACK GUY IN THERE, LAUGHING THAT HE DOESNT KNOW HOW TO DO HIS JOB, AND SHRUGGING HIS SHOULDERS, AS IF HE DOESNT CARE AT WHAT I AM NEEDING TO BE DONE, MY ISSUE IS WHY DON'T THEY FIND SOMEONE WHO IS QUALIFIED FOR THIS JOB? INSTEAD OF SOME YOUNG THUG?
I have had a Shell MasterCard for about 15+ years. This card gave me 5% back on Shell purchases. Now Shell is cancelling the 5% cash reward for loyalty. Shell states this move is necessary "in order to maintain a positive financial portfolio. I doubt this move is necessary since they are showing record quarterly profits. I believe the move is necessary because of their greed. They will give me $0.10 off per gallon...IF...I purchase over $500 gas per month. I called Citi Bank who issues the card for Shell.....they blew me off. I called Corporate Shell in Houston, Tx. Customer Service told me I would receive a phone call from a Manager. Never happened. I called corporate again, the Solutions department said a manager would call me. Again they lied directly to me. So with no Shell gas cash incentive, why should I look for Shell stations to refuel? There are other credit cards on the market that DO give cash rewards on gasoline purchases............"any gas brand". Goodbye Shell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gross Negligence at Shell service station on I 35 in San Marcos, Texas On July 25, 2011 at 1:30 pm, we sought to find a Tier One gasoline provider between Austin and San Antonio to fill up our gas tank. Unfortunately, we pulled off I-35 south lured by the tall Shell sign, assuming that the station would meet corporate standards for cleanliness and management. The Shell station at 207 I-35 South in San Marcos, Texas had the following aspects of gross neglect and mismanagement, which suggests that Shell Oil Company has little or no review of those stations which bears its company's highly advertised name: * spillage of diesel fuel over one third of the covered concrete service area. Some absorbant material had been applied to the spilled fuel on the concrete, but this condition led to many of the customers who stopped there tracking diesel fuel into the interior of their cars and thus having a pervasive stench from the odor of the fuel. * the men's room was filthy and obviously had not been serviced or cleaned for many, many customer visits. This is a vital part of effective management in a retail establishment in which the use of restrooms is an understood vital service in exchange for making a purchase at that establishment. We bought $60.73 worth of gasoline at that station. * the receipt printing function on the pump was not working, which forced customers needing a receipt to go inside and thus have to wait in line for the clerk at the register to print a receipt. * the interior segment of the service station was poorly cleaned and disorganized, reflecting poor management. On future road trips we will probably avoid stopping at Shell stations, given the inadequate care that Shell dedicates to the selection, training and auditing of its franchisees. We travelled over 1,000 miles on this road trip and the low point of the trip was this stop at the Shell service station at 207 South I-35 in San Marcos, Texas on July 25, 2011. Dormand Long
No complaint, just wish to tell you how you can get better milleage with your gas. Thanks clyflw7@aol.com
To whom it may concern: I've been a Shell customer since 1986 to the present. I never had any issue what so ever not until today when I filled my tank on 6/11/11. I've been using this gas station for many many years at 5607 Almaden Road, San Jose, Ca and doing the very same way of pumping gas like everyone else for that may years. The tank got filled but the pump never stop spilling into the pavement not until one of the customers grabbed my attention and pointed out the spill. I immediately shut it off and advised the person at station. He said, "this happens when the car sensor is not working". I said,"the pump has the sensor and has been doing the same thing. So, I said, "then, I'll be paying for the merchandise that just went on the ground". He said, yes, that happens. A couple days later,I pump up at the same station for my other car just across the pump I used when the spill happened. The same thing happen with this BMW X5 filling up. Spill was on the ground just like mine. From these two incidences and possibly more before me, the station is not doing anything yet. I think they shoundn't be using the pump not unti it is fixed. In my case, the gasoline that I was charged for just went to the ground. This is a case of neglect in the part of the station and customers suffer for it. This is not fair. The station has be penalized and credit me of 10 gallons of gas for their negligence.
Here's a good scam in Miami Fl. Golden Glades Shell Station Store# 17080. Their price sign for Regular shows $3.70. (Average price here is $3.89) I pull in to buy regular gas expecting this price. I paid cash at the window, and return to the pump. I notice only then that every pump has a sign over the Regular Choice that says you can only buy the higher grade at $4.02 The attendant gave me a receipt showing that I purchased Regular Gas..... somethin's up here, and I'm going to ask an investigative reporter to check this out. seems like bait and switch to me!!
We have a $1200 limit on our shell card that we have had for 22 years. We pay the balance in full on time every month.Recently my son's card was denied because we were "over the limit." My payment was a week EARLY and was at Shell, but had not been processed. The balance from last month plus the current charges exceeded the limit so my son couldn't pay for his gas. I was furious and called customer service. They told me they didn't know I was going to make a payment!! After 22 years of never being late?? Besides, last month's charges were roughly $700.00 so I was nowhere near the $1200.00 limit. They said they add them together so I said that my credit limit is actually only $600.00 per month, but she said "no" it isn't. Both customer service reps I talked to did not want to admit that Shell had not processed my payment which was what caused the problem in the first place. We closed our account immediately after 22 years and will never shop there again.
I have been going to the shell on hillsdale and forfolk in san Mateo ca for the passed three years and every morning the customer service rep "Felix" makes me 10 to 15min late for work because he is closing out the register... I have asked him quit a few times if he could do it earlier in the morning so that he does not effect my job... All he dose is shrug his shoulders and shake his head no thro the windo... I would like to knOw if shell is going to start paying me for being late sense it happens so often...
I would like to know why all of a sudden everytime We fill up at the station in Budd lake nj 07828 our service engine light goes on. We have checked the gas cap to be fine. We go to another station And its fine.
Folks, how about finding out the physical address of the corporate offices and filing written complaints via the mail system? It would probably work better and maybe...just maybe...some grand pooh-bah at Shell will read them. I highly doubt anyone from Shell reads these online complaints. Too bad, but true.
I live in San Diego And went to a shell gas station annd went to pay at the pump with a Visa gift card and the pump said to go see attendent so I did and he ran the card through and it came back declined , well it turns out that shell took out $75 when I slid the card through the machine that keep i mind dident give me any gas, said to see attendent then the attendent swiped it as a debet card and it took the remainder of the balance that was $48 because they want that deposit before you get your gas or a grand total of $123 and I got no gas the $123 was my balance when I pulled up to the pump 65155087 Flag this comment
I stopped to buy gas at Shell "Star Stop 41" 26285 Southwest Freeway in Rosenberg, Tx and I needed to use the restroom. As a former employee of Shell Oil, I was totally disappointed in the condition of the restroom. I have never see such a dirty and filty restroom at Shell before. I didn't use the restroom as it made me sick. I mentioned the condition of the restroom to Mr. Mir who works there and he belittled me and didn't offer to check the sitution out for himself. Can Shell get better trained operators at their branded stations?
