Safeway Corporate Office & Headquarters

Looking at these reviews, it is too easy to spot the Safeway employees! Safeway is a terribly run and mismanaged grocery store chain. The reasons why are obvious, under trained employees, employees who could care less about customers, and a poorly run corporate office. It is outrageous that Safeway would fire an employee for protecting a pregnant female, but apologize to a couple that obviously stole sandwiches by consuming them in the store, and then "forgetting" to pay for them! What really sucks is you can't complain about individual stores, because even the people at corporate are incompetent. I bet all complaints just go straight to the people you're complaining about, so what's the point?

I shopped there this afternoon and stopped at the Deli Counter to buy a pound of coleslaw. The worker informed me that Von's Lake Isabella Store is no longer providing the large container (1 pound) nor the small container (approx 1/4 pound). They only offered the medium 1/2 pound container. I asked if they were trying to build business or send their customers to another market, which we have. I then asked her if I could get 2 medium containers for the same price as a 1 pound container. She shrugged and said, "Well, I guess so." That turned me off of Von's right there. Next, I arrived at the check stand and the checker informed me that she didn't have enough bags to hold all my groceries. I asked her why Von's would run out of bags and she just shrugged her shoulders. I asked her if Von's planned to get more bags and she said she didn't know. It then occurred to me that Von's, after raising their prices to an unreasonable amount last year, were now going to stop giving us bags for our groceries. Higher prices, less customer service - and the disabled, like myself, are expected to buy our own bags and bag our own groceries? What's wrong with you people? Some of us are disabled and can't load and unload nor do we have enough money to purchase 15 cloth grocery bags just so you "suits" can keep your high bonuses! You can take "Just for You" back because I won't be wanting it anymore. I will make out my next shopping list to shop at a different market - Von's just lost me as a customer no matter what city you are located in.

Safeway is a joke, they are the most pethedic place I could enter. I'll never shop there again, it's ok if there employes use drugs.. If your a coustomer who mentions anything about it you will be removed from the store for a year! $&@! You Safeway keep your over priced moldy nasty food!!

If actually give a lower rating then one star i would. so i have been shopping at my safeway for about 12 years now in the last months i have been stopped for shoplifting first time was my own bottle of water to take my va drugs with and also not mention being threatened . Then told by safeway its an outside company that does loss prevention and it not safeways problem. After getting the run around between safeway securitas and area manager the assistant manager appoligized and gave me a gift card. so i let it go then two months latter went there with my kids and dog we walked becuse we live that close . i talked to guy at hot counter bought chicken told him my kids were going to eat it out front with dog while i finished grabbing few other things he said cool no problem next thing i no a store employee that knows i been shopping there for years tells me one of my kids is in back room i runback there to see three dirt bag looking people yelling at my son telling him he going to jail etc etc i yell at them and show them reciept at which time they still didnt belive me till we went to hot counter and brian the store employee told them yes its paid for. so after all this all they said was um ok you can go. nope i called police got a police report at which time i was gathering safeway employee names and numbers that wanted to be witinesses for me . as i was doing this todd baxter had the police tell i can never come back to the store again as if but it was so i couldnt gather all the namesand numbers i needed. so a clint eads enters the picture head of safeway security tells me not there problem rudly and if i need to sue thats what i need to do well i looking on internet here in bit for an attorney. most horriable store and attitudes ever i was treated better in iraq so ifanybody knows a good attorney or have had simular exp please email starwardork@hotmail.com and this was at safeway in wheatridge colorado

Really I have being waiting for now over a month for the safeway brand chicken salt and for some reason it's always out of stock not to mention half the items I look for are always gone... the isles are almost empty all the time... way to go shepparton safeway stores....discusted :(

To I may corcern: I was employee at Safeway store # 1581 in Montana. And I just got fired via telephone on my day off. Which I do believe is not the correct way to fire someone! And was only working there two and half weeks! I had a run in with the newly postitoned store supervisior and I had conducted myself very professional! And I am not the only employee at that store who has a problem with him! I have a 6 month old baby to support! I am pissed! Your store manager is lousy and the supervisior is younger then me and my opinion a kid on power hungry trip who needs to be fired!

I have been an Albertsons shopper for many years. i recently went into your store in Lynnwood Washington on 196th st. While there your cashier people helped me with a meat dept problem. Your meat dept staff there helped me further and were kind, helpful and friendly. I am now a Safeway shopper and took out a Safeway club card. I hope you pass on to those folks how happy I was to find such great people to shop with. Thanks Dan Rogers

Bradon maybe bradeon a courtesy clerk in king city Oregon was so disrespectful to my parents today. He made up a company policy then when I went to talk to him put his hand up to me and said He will not talk to me. Then I overheard him talking about what happened with another customer!! Really?!

Safeway pharmacy's hire only amoral people that lie and steal your prescriptions.

Items missing from my grocery bag today at Safeway in Fort Collins, CO, called customer services, told me there is nothing they can do, only if someone else calls and and says they have extra items, than they will call me back and give me my groceries. Ridicules. I am done with Safeway.

THE STORE MANAGER OF THE SAFEWAY ON WEBSTER ST IN SAN FRANCISCO HAD ALL STORE SHOPPING CARTS REMOVED FROM THE STORE. DISGUSTING THAT THE HIGHEST MANAGER IN THIS STORE WOULD SANCTION AND PERMIT TAKING OUT ALL SHOPPING CARTS. IT IS ALSO DISGUSTING THAT THE PRESIDENT OF SAFEWAY AND OF SAFEWAY NOR CAL WOULD SANCTION SUCH A DECISION AND SUCH ACTION. CARE FOR THE CUSTOMER WAS NOT CONSIDERED IN TAKING SUCH DISGUSTING ACTION. SUCH DISGUSTING ACTION IS IN VIOLATION OF THE AMERICAN DISABILITIES ACT AND DOES NOT ALLOW SHOPPERS TO SHOP COMFORTABLY IN THIS WEBSTER ST (sf) STORE. MANAGEMENT IN THE STORE LACK ANY COMMON SENSE. CORPORATE APPARENTLY ALSO LACKS COMMON SENSE. GET RID OF THE STORE MANAGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Safeway! The employees are outstanding persons who care about others. They are incredibly patient and kind.

Safeway treats there employees horrible .....that's why the customers get bad service.. Try working 8 hours with no break!

I went to safeway today to grab a few items and I often do not go there because I have found it is over priced. Well I thought I would give it another go and I came home and my yogurt was expired and old looking. I would really appreciate a response from headquarters regarding this issue and selling products that are expired! It should be a law that you can't keep it on the shelf!

Loved the grocery chain UNTIL they started firing long term exceptional management employees for on the job injuries. Even after employe was released to return to work by his own Doctor (mind you this was a MANAGEMENT job, not a retail store employee job)with only a minor lifting limitation - which should have been accomplished via ADA accomodation....Safeway choose to terminate the employee via overnight mail letter in December. AND...no one in this employees upper management interacted with this employee, other than Human Resources. What a loss of knowledge.....and dedication. WAY TO GO SAFEWAY. GOOD TO KNOW YOU VALUE THE BOTTOM DOLLAR MORE THAN YOUR EMPLOYEES!

I did not realize that your company had a policy about not hiring deaf people I am very saddened by this policy. I live in a small town were there is not many jobs to chose from so I applied and was then informed safeway does not hire deaf people. safeway in Bonners Ferry Idaho

Wow. I thought is was just a coincidence that Safeway was rude and we were treated poorly. Each time we go in there we are treated as though we are trash, not a high enough quality to shop there. I'm so offended by the judgmental glances and like of smiling faces. We spend nearly $800 a month there, sometimes more and yet we are not good enough to be treated with some type of respect by the store managers, employees and sometimes even the customers. Safeway has been around since I can remember, but the quality of people has only diminished over the last decade. Horrible, Horrible service and way too expensive!!!

Just bought a can of Kidney Beans (Dark Red) Safeway brand. Beans were not edible, were to hard to eat. I Baked them in a canned beans mixture for Memorial Day celebration. It was a disappointment, as this made the dish un-edible. This is the first time this has happened when they come in a can like this, they are already cooked. At least I assume they should be already cooked, just need a warm up Here is the description on can: Net Wt 15 oz. (425 g) Bar code # is 2113034100 (RD 07190) I hope this does not happen again. I guess I'll have to purchase Wal -Mart's brand instead. At least these are cooked. This world is going to HELL in a handbag. Back in the day people helped each other. Now it is all about what's in it for ME! Safeway used to care about it's customers we grew up shopping there it is ashame this world has come to this,That the almighty dollar is more important the human life!!! My opinon is that The meat market clerk should have atleast been given a thank-you, Not lose his job those of you that did this have to be cold-hearted as hell, Hope you can sleep at night and what is it exactly you see in the mirror when you look?????? You know it is not to late to save face and turn this in to a positive instead of a negative, So come on Safeway show you do have feelings do the right thing.

Yesterday lunch hour went to San Jose, CA Downtown Safeway got from the Deli Fried Chicken. Unfortunately the inside of chicken was Raw. Following day Nadeline not sure what title she has. I explain to her what happened and says to me, "YOu have an attitude". I didn't appreciate her comment. Then continues saying stop putting blame on me. What is wrong here at no point did I say she did it. NO one should have to be treated like this. All I ask is more refund in order to give your refund need Safeway card. I'm not sure want to go back to store I like going if I'm going to be treated so rude.
