O shop store 1933 in aurora co all the time. The meat manager has such a horrible attitude and there seafood dept has gone to crap. They had a wonderful seafood crew with two very helpful ladies that were always there and always hard working and always very helpful, its very obvious that Safeway dosnt care about this store to bring in this new management. I hope where ever the two ladies went they are much appreciated, they were wonderful to us all the time. I will no longer shop at this store anymore this meat depart and seafood depart are horrible now. And I will make sure my friends and family don't shop there either. The lines at this store to are ridiculous as well. I won't miss it. All this negatively that comes out of this store, I am glad to put my money sonewhere else.

The new JUST FOR U; its a scam to get you on the door. O was offered Fried Chkn for me on my Just FOR U; well 3 trips; NO CHICKEN cooked. Today 9/6/12; 11:35am My JUST FOR U; Deli Chicken strips; almost halfoff; well; wait for it.....NO strips cooked...at 11:35! come on?!! Really?!?? That was my fourth trip in a week! Om calling 7on your side to have this scam investigated for false advertising..

My recent experience at the Redwood City, Sequoia Station, Safeway reminded me of an old B-rated WW2 film complete with Gestopo agents asking for "your papers". I am a 67 year old engineer, with gray hair. I will have to confess that I look over 21, well... even older than 40! While completing my check out in the self-service lane with two bottles of wine the process was interrupted by a very self-important attendant who shoved her I.D. badge in front of my face and told me to stop the transaction. I was told that I must present my drivers license to verify that I was over the age of 21, and that she will enter my birth date into the Safeway database to prove that I was carded. I responded that she was not going to do any such thing, and all she had to due according to California ABC regulations was to ascertain that I was of legal age. Her response was an loud "It's State Law"! The is probably Safeway's sophomoric response to AB183 passed by our ever progressive and dimwitted CA legislators (Ma, et al)to curb illegal sales to minors. No where in the provisions of AB183 is there a requirement to present a drivers license or record the birth date of the customer. A salesperson can be legal under the new provision by simply falling back on experience to determine relative age. I am obviously not a 14 year old dressed in drag as a 67 year old male. I asked the saleswoman if I looked over the age of 21, she replied "yes". My response was "that's all you need". I was still refused the purchase unless I complied. Safeway, you don't tell a 67 year old engineer, father of 2, married 35 years, and a veteran that I have to put up with this crap and prove I'm over 21! I take my friend shopping at the Clayton Safeway every Saturday. She likes to go there as use to live nearby and likes this store. Every week we go, I have to bag her items. They have someone to bag, but leave as we get there. I have to then bag, an pay with her debit card, as customers push my friend forward as they want to be next to be checked out. Today was the worse experience I have had there in months, and want to tell my story as tried to tell a manager, but they were gone, and the only other person I could tell about my complaint was the same woman that I was complaining about. Her name is Gail. I was bagging, and mentioned to her we never get a bagger and I have to always bag. I said to her, maybe I could get a job here. When we needed to do payment, I asked her to finish the bagging as I did put in the phone number in the machine first. I then put her debit card in, and Gail said the card did not register, so had to get the card back from my friend to have her enter it in the computer. Then Gail said in a very loud voice several times, that I was fired. I did not appreciate her attitude or the fact that she was making a big point of how bad I was at bagging. She should have been bagging instead of me, I am the customer. If I had my way we would never go to this store, ever again. I went to complain to a manager that was not around, and had to talk to Gail. I had to take my lady I take care of home, but was very upset with this experience. There is not justice when you have to do all the work yourself which is their job, and they have a bad attitude on top of it. Grrrrrr. At least I have my say here even thought I will never get justice, but if I see this woman again, I will tell her my feelings.....

I have been buying Safeway's O Organic products for years. Today, I found out these products are traitor brands, in that Safeway has been contributing money to help defeat Proposition 37 - the proposition that would require food companies to label foods that have been genetically modified. How hypocritical! In the future, I will be purchasing my organic products from another source. Shame on Safeway!

Customer service at 2612 is awefull, not enough employees to run basic services, fax machine is always out of service, food is.too expensive, treated with blatant disrespect. Overall super dissatisfied, king soopers is my store now!

lost my transit card and my debit card at san mateo safeway.. on el camino..on a wednesday evening...called the next day at 9am and was advised that my cards were found and i could come and get them.. I advised them that i would be there in the early afternoon on thursday. when i got there i was informed by customer service that my cards had been shredded. i asked to speak to the manager of the store...a young man who said he was the manager told me that it was store policy to shred all cards found in the store... i was quite surprised that he showed no remorse and seemed to care less about the fact that the customer service clerk told me to come in and retrieve my cards. been a safeway shopper for over 60 years!!!!! I will inform my Marine Corps friends and relatives NEVER to enter any Safeway store again TREATED VERY BADLY BY PUNK KID MANAGER......

What is up with the employees at the Safeway Deli counter in Bonners Ferry? They are very snotty & refuse to slice up any fresh deli meats when there is a pile of it already sliced in the counter. Now, I like my meets sliced very thin & I do not like to buy stuff that has been sitting in the counter all day & has dried up edges. But the counter clerks just won't do it. That is not a good policy soo they loose by business. Super 1 recently opened up down the street & thats where i will go, as has many other folks I know who also don't appreciate snotty Safeway Deli clerks!

Why cant I find the items I have been buying for years in the stores lately. When I asked the manager he said the corporate office makes the calls on what is sold at the stores. So if I cant find an item at Safeway, but I can at Whole Foods, I might as well do all my shopping at Whole foods. I guess Safeway does not care about the business I have been giving them for 35 years.

Apparently, having the shelves stocked especially on "sale Wednesday" is a very low priority. I was slow on the uptake I guess, because today I again went to buy something for dinner in the meat dept and nothing was stocked. When I asked why the shelves were always empty on Wed morns, I was told that the dept had to rewrap things and can't get new products out! Sounds REAL healthy!! Oh yeah, the on-sale chicken...it will be in tomorrow! This is the only game in town.. we HAVE to pay these exordinary prices and put up with questionable products and poor service. Everybody in rural areas: Save money and travel out of area for shopping, I will!

People at Safeway corporate office should respect those who work with them and who work for them. It has shamed me to no end that they treat there employees, managers, and customers like dirt. I'd use another word for it if it wasn't on the internet. Safeway in CA needs to put an end to all of the non sense here in AZ. Pay their investigators like they've done in the past. Quit telling the people at corporate here in AZ how to run the private investigators job and controlling the money. Have they ever been to the stores in person and tryed to interview the managers and the injured party? I don't think so. They have no idea what it takes - especially when the investigator can talk the injured employee from filing a claim. Dumb, dumb, dumb Now they're subtracting money from the investigators pay checks????? WTF???????

I want to commend the Safeway Delivery Department at Osborne in Phoenix, Az. I am a Disable Veteran and can not carry bags with my cane. It is hard and very dificult to walk around the store. The delivery section at this Safeway are professional and extremely kind. They call me if there is a problem with my card or order. They could just have deleted my order but they never do. The delivery guys are exceptional. They always try to put my groceries away but I never let them. And when I try to tip the they always refuse and explain why. I liv on a fix income but I would give up the dollar for their wonderful service. So I figure I would take the time and let you at coporate know that the online delivery people and the drivers are making Safeway number one in this Veteran's book. They are the talk of the VA Medical Center amongst the Disable Veterans. Please let them know what great service they give to the surrounding community. 5stars and you best tell them or my compliment will turn into a complaint against corporate. Thank you for this forum.

This past Sunday was the final straw, we've shopped Safeway (Hilo, Hawaii) now for almost 5 years spent upwards of 1000.00 per month. During this time we've been blown off or ignored by personnel of most every department. Advertised items are rarely available and extra time on our part to question why is consistently met with well you'll have to come back some other day. Our prior issues with Safeway were handled by store mgr. and we were told to report issues directly to him in the future. Well all I can say is we would spend an entire day running back and forth from item to item department to department. Here are some examples of how poor the service is; Fish counter ask for 1/2 pound of something you get over that amount packaged priced and handed to you without so much as a comment of sorry it over it that alright. Go to dairy to get products advertised and find none available and no one to ask if more can be had. The deli department you get totally ignored never asked how you might like something sliced. Produce department, if you ask where something might be they just tell you over there or they don't know. The produce itself never lasts more than 2 or 3 days before it spoils. sale items like berries are moldy or totally over ripe. plastics bags and scales are always and adventure to find. Prices that aren't on sale are simply ridiculously high. But the straw that ends it for us was the cashier who seemed so friendly to folks before us and after us, she never even made eye contact with us once. So Safeway if you think this is the way to make satisfied customers We for two are here to tell you you've lost our business

I am a fresh value member. I am very very upset with the way ur Dominicks store operates. This Is the 2nd time.this has happened.. I bought 3 bags of Safeway brown rice at the Dominicks on route 59 in naperville. Came home and whole emptying the rice in a container noticied that there were maggots / food bugs in the rice!!! gross! !!! Making me wanna throwup just ghinking about the yellow maggots! Imagine my frustration. I had to go back to the store today that is the next day and wanted to see a manager. Michelle came out and when I told her about the issue she said that is gross!!! Gave a.refund!! And that's it!!!! OMG .what the hell happened to customer service. I told her I want them replaced and she said she.will try a different brand. While I was.waiting for.her she completely forgot about me. When I.went.back. and asked to be assisted she sent another employe. Who came.with.me to the isle and when.I.started pulling the bags off the.shelf I showed him how.everybag was infested with the bugs. Poor guy kept apologizing. He.took like 5 bags for.dumping. I had no heart to.buy anything after this incident and I left.in a hurry I left my container that I got to.the store. I am.very upset. And will make.sure I make a.complaint against u guys. Last 2 times there were expired items and when I took it back the other Guy manager didn't take.it back.saying he can't take it since.it was.expired..I was.pregnant then.and had no.patience to argue.. so I.left. buy this.time.its.gross and disgusting that the food on ur shelves is infested with bugs!!!" I am writing a.letter with a copy of the.receipt consumers direct and I also.blog. I wasn't even.offered anything.by the.manager foe my inconvenience and most of all for selling me food.that.was worth duas ping. That s what Michelle did dumped it in the.trash. I am gonna think twice before going.back to the.store now!! Its a very poorly managed store. I am.looking forward to speaking to someone regarding this. And want to take this to the.next level. Company policy states ANY and ALL monies MUST be turned into lost and found if found. It is considered THEFT if the money is kept. Tell me why then... If the money is not claimed by the rightful owner Safeway keeps it? Is this not theft? That's why I keep ALL money found at Safeway? Why should Safeway keep it? They make enough money.

Witnesses senior women in Az being abused by large abusive man. He harassed her and hurt her. She was I'll. Police called instead of paramedics Anyone see this?
