to night we went to safeway store in apache junction and i got a pc of meas that i wanted cut meat dept persion said sorry he was cleanning up it was 6 30 pm what is wrong with safeway donot they want people comming back again

juust for you is nuts! I have feed in my savings 4 times and all 4 times it rings up at whole price, they say NOTHING I CAN DO well I made my last visit to safeway! what a con!

I went shopping 2 days ago at Safeway in vallejo. My whole family got food poisoning today we are still sick.

I frequently visit the Safeway(s) in Amman, Jordan. I find that the standards are not quite up to the ones in the U.S. Sometimes you find rotten, expired items and and the stores are not always clean. Just advice: if you want people to continue visiting your stores, at least upkeep the standards that you adhere to in the U.S.

On Saturday, October 6ht, I shopped t the Homestead store in Santa Clara. At the Deli I ordered 1/2 pound of turkey sliced. The woman behind the counter proceeded to pick up the turkey and placed it on the counter behind her. She then looked at me and told me her hsift was over and the left the area. She left me standing there wondering what to do ....there was other person in sight. Looking up at the clock it was 3:53 pm. Her shift did not end until 4pm. She had plenty of time to complete my order. That incident left me bewildered, how can anyone just walk off and leave a customer.I WILL NOT SHOP HERE AGAIN. I WILL FIND A SAVEMART OR A LUCKY. i hve worked in Customer Service all my life and would never treat my clients in this manner. I am well past 75 years and have shopped your store since 1970. I have never been treated so rudely.

On Saturday night at about 9:30 p.m. I went into the Safeway Store on Circle Blvd in Corvallis, Or. I opened the door to get a pastry out of the cabinet and there were little bugs flying around in there. I told the person at the checkout counter, and she did not seem surprised.

Ishop in the Clear Lake Cal. store and it is a mess. The meat counters are dirty and unorganized and the help in the Deli has cut employees down. I walked out the other dayI am going to shop elsewhere. That is unfair to the employees and customers. I know many other people feel the same way. The general look of the store when you walk in is cluttered. The vegies and fruits are not well take care of.

Overall, I like our neighborhood Safeway store (Cameron Park, CA). However I have a MAJOR complaint about the meat department. That is, they do not date mark their frozen/thawed meats like Johnsonville breakfast sausages. There is no way to tell how fresh it is, or how long you can keep it before eating. We have talked to the store manager twice, but they still do not date them for freshness. All other stores include a date sticker. This is a health and safety issue.

I work for Safeway, and there is no way even half of these are true. It is not company policy to shred cards. A worker disrespecting a customer refusing to speak with them would be suspended. It is company policy to slice meats and cheeses upon request, provided the slicer is in working order. The complaint about Just4U and chicken strips; The only reasons they would not be out at 11:35 is the deli manager/assistant deli manager did not order enough, or the warehouse that supplies them is out. Get a raincheck, this is an item that is required by corporate to have in stock. It is not false advertising, as it is an availability error. Complaint about being carded while appearing over 60; It is federal law to card anyone of questionable age. It is not "California ABC regulation." It is Safeway policy to enter D.O.B. at the time of every alcohol purchase. The reason of any and all Just4U web page errors; It is an overflow error, there are too many people attempting to use the site at a given time in a given region. Try again in a minute or less. Why are you buying organic foods at a fortune 500 company and expecting said company to be against GMO labeling? It's a fortune 500 company, they will always be watching their bottom line and will oppose anything that threatens it. The only way to get truly 100% organic anything is to buy directly from the manufacturer. "Colorado Proud" statement; Do you seriously think that a company that needs to supply hundreds of stores in Colorado can possibly purchase all of their meats from Colorado alone? What century are you living in? Health and safety; You claim to be tolerant, yet you show no compassion and fail to realise that a smelly individual outside a store is not a health or safety concern. That said, the store manager or person in charge needs to remove them from the premise if they are being a nuisance, homeless or otherwise. Thelma; Safeway is in no way affiliated with Kroger. Kroger would be the owner of the QFC chain. The V.I.P. Elite customer program does not work like that. If you spend $9,000 a YEAR, you are automatically a V.I.P. Your check will not be refused or crumpled by any machinery, unless the reader itself is malfunctioning. They are n ot paper shredders. If your check is refused, it is because you do not have the funds in your bank account. Sorry to burst your bubble. To anyone not foaming at the mouth yet; Understand that Safeway workers are underpayed, undervalued, and have to deal with an angry person every 3 customers. Behind every employee on autopilot, there is a person just like you. Difference is, we are lucky if we take home more than $200 a week.

Me and my girl Cheryl Leblanc both some food for the Safeway Deli at Lincoln Road West, Vallejo Ca, on 9/21/12 in between 6pm and 7pm, we purchased order fried chicken. and Macaroni cheese, we ate dinner about 7:25pm, we both became ill between 10pm and 11pm, getting up throughout the having to visit the bathroom, and it's now the next day and we are still feel sick, I called the store and someone named Christina answered, I told her my problem, she asked did I want to make a complaint, and connected me to a number that ringed for a while then want dead, I called the store back, but couldn't get an answer, so I looked you up on line to make my complaint, I really hope that you take a look at that stores deli operations and food handling, the customer service was excellent, at this point I feel like going to the doctor to see if they can help with this issue,my contact number is 510 467-7688.

What is this Elite customer crap? My sister was told the machine crumpled her check because she did not spen enough money each month. They told her the Elite status was not available to her, she didn't spend $10,000.00 a month! I know thie store and the area and in Paradise California no one spends that kind of money in a month. I know my sisters financial status and she has no problem there and prides herself in never having had an overdraft. This stinks and you better consider yourself lucky she did not have a heart attack over this. How dare you.""

Sweethome,OR. must be the dumbest people working there. there is an elderly man who goes in at least 2 times a week and steals food, beer, wine. On the food not just a sandwich a cart full of food, Beer not a can or 6 pack a case and rides out the door AND NO ONE STOPS HIM. He has been doing this for years and has never been busted is this how Safeway has gotten? If you rip us off we'll just raise prices.

I need to know if your company is associated with Kroger. I live in Georgia and we do not have a safeway here. I have family members in Colorado and wish to send a store gift card and want to know if I purchase a Kroger card here and mail it. Would it be good there in you stores. Shopping is no longer a pleasure. What with all the coupons, searching on the computer for sales, looking throughout the store for these bargains has become a chore. Unless you have an exact description of the sale item you have no idea which package to buy. I will come in for one or two items because it is convenient to my home but for weekly shopping I prefer stores like Trader Joes or Sprouts where you can but without deciding which of 3 prices you are going to be charged at checkout. This program is not working for me.

Safeway Management: I want to bring a serious health and safety issue to your attention. I live in Half Moon Bay and frequently shop at the Strawflower Center Store, 70 Cabrillo Hwy. Half Moon Bay, CA 94019. On Thursday, I observed what appeared to be dead body, more likely a dead drunk near the store entrance. Either way it was not good for business. I entered the store and reported the situation to someone not a cashier but with the look of authority. I could not find the store manager. We were there for over an hour and nothing was done. I made several trips in and out for a cart and shopping bags. The only person near the body was another obviously homeless and dirty man whose pants were so low that most of his bottom was showing. I am not a prude, but I do not need to see the backside of a drunk to enhance my shopping experience. On at least one other very recent occasion I saw what was either the scat of a large animal or human feces also very near the entrance. There are often obvious homeless men hanging around the store. Again, I am unusually tolerant, but this situation has become a health issue. We have lived in the area for many years. At social gatherings and in the course of daily activities we have talked to people who live in Half Moon Bay but drive miles to shop a different store. The issues were cleanliness and lack of variety. If you cannot or will not address these problems we will join the stampede. If I do not get a written response and see positive changes, I will report this to the appropriate authorities.

Just read about Safeways new "Colorado Proud" campaign at 116 Safeway stores in Colorado. “Colorado Proud?” …how disgusting. More consumer trickery by Corporate America. How can selling meat tainted with antibiotics and growth hormones and benefiting a corporate ranch be a source of pride? The only product that Safeway could sell that would honestly be “Colorado Proud,” would be meat produced by our small local ranchers such as Mike Callicrate who produce a healthy and humane product. Then we will be supporting our local struggling ranchers who are trying to give us real beef. I quit shopping at Safeway years ago because of the meat they sell. I shop at the Safeway store in Fort Lupton, Co. I signed up for the SafewayforU plan to add extra savings to my Safeway card via the computer. THIS PROGRAM IS A JOKE! Today is the THIRD time that I cannot access this site due to a error in the Safeway programming. I have talked to the store manager about this and all she says is "You have to let the company know. We can't do anything here at the store." I cannot begin to tell you how difficult it was to even find a site for Safeway where I could notify corporate without getting the error message. No wonder you are charging more for items because you are spend $$$$ on a promotional program that STINKS and DOES NOT FUNCTION! I will NOT try and use this program again and I will drive an additional 11 miles to Brighton Colorado and shop at KING SOOPERS! You have lost a customer....not that you will care!

I have a complaint in regards to the Arlington, WA store. Numerous times including yesterday which is a Saturday, they only have two checkers. The one checker called for help and it took a good 7 minutes before additional checkers helped out. This particular checker told me that this happens all the time. There were probably 10 people in each of the two lines. In my opinion, the quality has gone down hill especially since the remodel. The baggers also waste time and hang out outside to avoid helping inside. Plus instead of bringing in all the carts from outside, they will only bring in a couple. I think some major changes need to be had including new managers/supervisors. If things don't change, I know I will and other people will change stores and it won't be another Safeway.
