If anyone actually read this they should know that nearly all the one star messages on here are fake. i work for ruby tuesday and have been to several of the stores, i can say that the leadership is pretty poor but the wait staff are on average very good at customer service. they have to be if they want any tips out of the pitiful excuses for customers we receive. I hope a customer does see this post because i want them to know that a 10% tip basically means we don't eat at night. also, diet coke doesn't keep you from gaining 5 pounds from the chicken parmasan pasta
I was an emp[oyee for Ruby Tuesday in Nebraska. I had worked there for 4 years. I worked diffrent postions ovr my 4 years there. I had a holst shift one Sunday morning that i couldnt work so I told my GM the night before that i couldnt work my morning shift the next morning. I tried to cover my shift but no one would work so i didnt come in for my shift. i had given 2 hours notice and my GM said she would get it covered. so i came in for the night shift and she fires me. said I did a no call no show after a 24 notice and after she said she would cover my shift. I think that she was in the wrong. and she told me that she had it covered. I think you need to rethink your plicies and adjust your Gm training and make sure they understand the meaning of no call no show before they accuse someone of it. And now because of this I have been deamed nonrehireable and dont appreicate this.
I went to the ruby Tuesdays on Rt. 22 in Union NJ last night and the food was great but the customer service service there sucks. No attention was giving after I received my meal and even before I got which I waited 50 minutes for it, no assurance that it was coming right up. Once I received my meal the waitress disappeared and I had to flag another waitress for a glass of water, she sent my waitress to me and the girl forgot I asked for water which another waitress brought to me 15 minutes later. When my meal was done I summoned the manager who apologized and credited me for my drink, sent the young to us to apologized and she acted like a gun was too head forcing her to bring out the words. They lost my business and it's ashame because the food is great.
My complaint is regarding Customer Services at the Ruby Tuesday in Melrose Park, Ill. My daughter and her friends (all 12 yrs old) were out hanging and they wanted to have a independent day (free from parents) so they first attended a movie and the Ruby Tuesday is directly across the parking lot. So after the movie they decided to have lunch and what do you know, they went over to the restaurant only to receive RUDE customer service from their waitress. She treated them like kids verses paying customer regardless of their ages. She tried to compensate the situation with BREAD! First of all, how dare you treat people anyway but with respect regardless of age and I'm the type of parent that asked millions of questions just to make sure of every situation and look what I find out. So to the Waitress you better be lucky she didn't tell me the day of or else you would've had to deal with a UPSET MOTHER who takes situations (treating KIDS and especially my KID POOR) like this one to HEART...So a training classes should be implemented IMMEDIATELY cause next time it's someones HEAD....MEAN FACE right now....
I worked at a ruby tuesday in pennsylvania, and you can go from being the BEST TO WORST in a matter of minutes. I worked there for 2 years and always got a lot of hours, raises, and then my gm just decided to fire me because he didn't like how I did my job when everyone else in there didn't do their sidework, silverware, or sections. I did all my stuff and he let me go of all people. This company gets a sick pleasure of torturing employees that is just my opinion I'd rather be unemployed than be abused by a boss like that.
Heres my story. My nephew was hired at Ruby Tuesdays in Indiana Pa after 3 days he was terminated. He was terminated (fired) over the phone when he called for his schedule. They didn't even give him a trial, or talk to him about how they wanted him to do the things. If he was instructed and given the second chance, but know they fired him. How cruel are these people? he has some health issues after having a stroke a year ago but he clearly is a dedicated worker needing work and this devistated him to depression. Ruby Tuesday what about helping the disabled? Guess you are not human enough to help a person when they are needing help...
ALL U PEOPLE NEED TO GET A LIFE. SO U GOT BAD SERVICE! BIG FREAKING DEAL! SHIT HAPPENS! DEAL WITH IT, AND MOVE ON. I STUMBLED ON TO THIS SITE, AND AM IN NO WAY AFFILIATED WITH RUBY TUESDAYS. EVERYONE HAS A BAD EXPERIENCE EVERY NOW AND THEN AT AN ESTABLISHMENT, IF THINGS ARE NOT UP TO YOUR SATISFACTION, SIMPLY MAKE THE CHOICE TO NOT GO BACK. DONT BORE THE REST OF THE WORLD WITH YOUR CRYING.
My husband and I stopped for lunch at Ruby Tuesday's on Friday January 27, 2012 at the Vestavia Hills Restaurant in Vestavia, Alabama...we have eaten in other Ruby Tuesday's for many years, never a complaint...until that day...we sat at the bar to order lunch since it was empty and quiet at the time...while waiting for our food...a very tall African American man in a Jacket with symbols (that looked liked mad tasmanian devils) walked through the bar and into the kitchen (doors to kitchen were at the end of the bar)..and all hell broke loose...the noise level was what I could only imagine would exist at a rap concert...the employees were hooting and hollering and laughing so loud the waiter could barely take our order....this continued throughout our visit...people were banging metal pans and hollering like banshees...my husband and I were astounded that a manager would allow this kind of behavior to occur much less continue in a so called "4 star restaurant"....we could have sat on the side of the interstate highway and had less racket...I spoke to the the waiter and the manager came out and asked what the problem was...DUH??? she had to yell over the noise to be heard...and said I am sorry for the noise...and I responded you should only have to be sorry if you allow that behavior to continue..she said I have told them 3 times to hold it down and they just laugh at me...she was a young girl in her early twenties and clearly unable to manage her employees...as the noise continued the whole time we were there...we paid for our meal and left for good...and we were not the only customers that were unhappy with that level of raucous behavior...and the hamburgers were dry, the bread was cold, and the condiments listed on the menu were left off....if this is an example of the acceptable way corporate allows their restaurants to be run...we will no longer be customers of Ruby Tuesdays anywhere again ever.
On 1/22/2012 my faimly and i and some friends were at ruby Tuesday for a good time. When our food show up it turn bad fast. The food look like it had been on the floor but the ribs look like they had gone out and got them off the side of the road. After i asked for the manger she said thats what they should look like. I was asked if i would like something else out the kitchen but i refused i didn't want anything else out of that kitchen. It seem like Ruby Tuesday has gone down hill sent it changed.
My daughter recently applied for a job with Ruby Tuesdays in Hamilton, N.J (Mercer County). She was hired by the manager and told that she would start on Monday, January 23, 2012. She was provided a memo of acceptable attire to where at work. After going out and purchasing several pieces of attire, she was contacted three hours before the start of her shift and advised that they did not need her anymore. How unproffesional this was for a person to do such a thing. This is exactly what is wrong with the private sector, no consideration for workers. I will never eat at Ruby Tuesdays again. I will also tell all my family members, friends and several hundred union brothers and sisters not to eat at this establishent.
I worked. At ruby tuesday. In kansas city mo. The one in burligton en nkc. The kitchen manager has not idea how to do his job salad bar looks bad and the guy israel prep eeeverything. Bad
My friend and I went in the Mentor Ohio Ruby Tuesday it was the worst service. Our burgers were raw and the place was so dirty you could see the dust caked on the light fixtures. The manager there was young and could careless if we were not happy with the food or service. We will never step foot in another Ruby Tuesday.
My receipt was ripped wright were the survey was at. I asked the store manager to print me out a new receipt. When I went to the website I aswered a couple of questions and then it said something like you do not have access to this survey. Makes me think my surver might have purposely ripped the survey part of my receipt. I did not get to finish the survey or get my three dollars off.I will be calling your corporate office next week.
I was shocked by what was the WORSE experience I have ever had anywhere, let alone Ruby Tuesdays. I have eaten at your restaurants for years in various cities I have lived. I had come to rely on the consistency of the food and service quality that made anywhere I am feel "like home". Today the order was not taken correctly, took long despite that it was not crowded, I had to ask for refill on my drink despite the server seeing it was empty for about 15 minutes. But the worse part is that after all this I was served meat that was RANCID!! I threw up before I left and have been sick ever since. I got home, threw up again and slept all day. I am so upset I cannot even express my anger and disappointment. My sister was with me and when I told her my burger was not good she smelled hers and backed away. I was very hungry when I arrived and by the time the food got to us I tried to eat it but less than halfway through I realized it was not me - the meat really was bad. My sister ordered the Minis and had not gotten to the meat part because its mostly bread on those but when she smelled mine, she lifted the bun on hers, took one sniff and put it down! It was disgusting. The texture was spongy, as if frozen and then improperly defrosted. It was not pink but I think that was not due to being cooked. It felt like the color was due to it being not fresh. The question it raises for me is about food handling at your restaurants. Is your meat frozen until ready to be cooked? Is it handled safely? Clearly the answer has to be NO judging from our experience and both of us having the same problem. This was at approx noon, it is now almost 11pm and its just now that I feel well enough to even write to you. The server and asst. mgr offered me another dish...as if I could even think of eating another bite in your restaurant. She said "I don't want you to leave hungry".... Trust me, leaving hungry was not possible. I have not been able to eat since that. I was even too sick to go to Pri-Med, which I considered because I thought I was food poisoned. Just writing to you is like reliving that horrible ordeal and sickens me to recall the odor and taste of the burger. We were not charged for our meals - thank you for not charging us for food poisoning! But I swear by all I hold dear that I will never eat at any Ruby Tuesdays again and will warn my friends and family about what happened to us today and the indications that the food handling at Ruby's needs to be looked into...Former Ruby Tuesdays customer
Visited RT's Montage Mt Moosic Pa.....food was great..served quickly and also hot. The place was very clean and the staff there is very friendly. Salad bar was great!!! Hats off to the staff and managemnet there.....Great job!!!!!! thank you
I have worked in customer service and food for 12 years. I recently was hired as a server for Ruby Tuesdays 4 days ago. Everyone that has trained me said I was doing a great job! The Expo even gave me a compliment which means a lot! The first person that trained me left all the empty plates on the tables, forgot refills, and messed up her tables. The 2nd person that trained me was perfect and knew how to do her job, she was also a shift leader. The 3rd person was a shift leader, she knew her stuff but, was easily distracted and did not pay attention all the time. The GM is very new to this location and majority of the staff hate him. On my 4th day he told me that he loved my bubbly personality and I am a very hard worker but, I am not fit for this job because I lack professionalism. He said Ruby Tuesdays is a 4 star fine dining restaurant and they want to be up there with the best of them all. He then told me I would fit in more at Denny's or Steak N Shake. I hope his store is run into the ground. I have always done a great job wherever I worked at and I put my heart into everything I do. I have a lot of passion for my work and I take pride in what I do.
One of the requirements all female employees have to wear make up. They also state in their manual they encourage everyone to eat a healthy diet. Management treats their employees like dogs. If they don't make at least 18% tip on each table they put their names on a board and highlight it for all the employees to see just to humiliate the employee. Not everyone tips good, no matter how good of service they get. I think Ruby Tuesdays is one of the worst ran places I have seen in restaurants. It use to be one of my favorite places to eat until my niece went to work there. They are more concerned about looks of the servers than they are anything. To me that is just giving young girls more reasons to have a low self esteem. I know my niece has came home in tears many nights because they made her feel so bad and shes a beautiful thin girl. I will never eat there again after my niece quits. I hope that place gets shut down.
I was at your Suffolk Virgina location Saturday night around 430ish December 10th. It started off bad right away. Our waitress took 15mins before she came over. When she did, I rambled off our drink order and asked for the Shrimp appetizer. She looked puzzled....Then she proceeded to say that she would have to give it to us for free because WE asked for it first. So then I told her she could not put it on our bill. She says"you never gave me a chance to offer it to you"! I told her it was her problem and NOT mine! Not only was she extremely unprofessional...this gets better. She then sends a fat bald manager to our table. He gives us major attitude! Never have I seen such a crapy bunch of employees in my life! This location needs some help! The behavior was horrible. I ususally always go to Ruby's for the salad bar. Never again. I hope someone steps up and takes over the location. Poor managment and poor staff! Thanks for your time! juniepius@verizon.net
just to let you know that it is rather concerning when you are sitting at the bar and see a cook with a sam adams hat on sitting at a bar stool watching an NFL game and another cook with a Pittsburgh Pirates hat on at your service bar talking to the female bartender when she was waiting on me at the bar. That's when I called the friend that was to meet me at Ruby Tuesdays and told him to meet me at Longhorne across the way instead, where, by the way, we had a very nice and attentive meal. Also, there were servers sitting in booths around the bar studying etc. and gabbing. I realize that it was slow but I'm not sure this is a good business practice...especially the cooks coming out of the kitchen to watch a football game? The bartender was very nice and she was attentive with me despite the interruptions from her fellow peers. She only started 1 month ago she told me. Anyway, I feel that you should know what I experienced during my visit. Again, the bartender was very friendly and attentive please do not scold her-she was great!!
It is February 8th, 2012. I ate at the Patrick Henry mall location at approximately 7:00. The salad bar was as good as always, but did not appreciate Katherine's attitude torward us. She was very bitter and even more rude after we didn't leave a tip for her that she didn't deserve. I will not eat at that location again.
