430 Reviews For Rooms To Go Headquarters & Corporate Office

On April 6th I went into the Rooms to Go on Woodruff Rd. to purchase a zebra desk chair for my daughter. The store did not have any in stock so I had to order it. No problem, they told me I would have it in a week from the following Tue. and I had to pick it up @ the store to avoid a $60 shipping charge to my house. Today 4/16 I get 3 different calles from Rooms to Go, 1st call "Glen" did not know what I ordered...zebra or leapard. 2nd call "Glen" wanted to know if I have the chair, when I said no that store said they would call me when it was in he said ok. The 3rd call he said the store opened my chair and it has been on the floor for a week. Did I want that chair or a new one. I said I wanted a new chair, b/c that is what I ordered. Not a display! He said well it's only been on the floor a week! and if I order another chair it would be a week from Tue. I told him that was fine, but this was going into 3 weeks and that I had never purchased anything from them before and that I was not impressed! "Glen" said ma'am we don't usually order just 1 item, we order the whole bedroom! "Glen" was very rude and I am not a happy customer and probaly will never order from Rooms to Go again!!!

On Thursday March 29, 2012 in the afternoon I went into a Rooms To Go Store in Fort Myers Florida with a friend to purchase a kitchen table and 6 chairs for a new house I had just purchased. I found what I felt was a perfect fit for my longer yet narrow kitchen and while I was sitting at the table, the salesman approached and I said “I’ll take it”. He proceeded to enter the purchase at a computer directly behind the table set I wanted. On Saturday March 31st at about 3:30 in the afternoon the table arrived. The driver brought in the chairs first and I immediately recognized they were the wrong chairs as I had ordered a counter height table set. I went out to the street to see the table which was also wrong. I suggested they not leave the item at my home since it was the wrong item. They insisted that wrong deliveries happen all the time and that they would pick it up when the correct furniture arrived. While the driver were still in my home assembling the table I called Rooms To Go store at 4:17pm and the woman who answered said she would look into it but said to accept the delivery and they would re-order the correct item for an exchange. She also said the store manager would be in contact with me. On Sunday April 1 at 3:57pm I again called the Rooms To Go store and spoke to my salesman Dennis King who remembered me and said that the price information on that set was no longer on that set and that my situation was in the hands of the store manager who would be calling me shortly. On Monday April 2, now very upset I walked into the Rooms To Go store at about 11am and spoke to the store manager who said he was just about to call me and that he was busy all weekend. He proceeded to tell me that the set I wanted was going to cost me an additional $300.00. My response was that was unacceptable and he needed to exchange my set for the correct one, or credit my credit card and come get the set they delivered. He said that I would not get a credit until the set was picked up. I said great, you can come get it sometime between 7am and 10pm, the same delivery time slot they set up for me. He said, “sir I am not your son and if you don’t calm down I will ask you to leave the store, which I did. That afternoon, Monday April 2 as soon as I got home I called the Rooms To Go customer service number 888-709-5380 at 12:17pm and I spoke to Brandon who was very helpful and said that he would have the regional manager either Larry or Scott call me to discuss the issue. On April 3 at 5:06pm, still without a call from anybody I again called the Rooms To Go customer service number 888-709-5380 and spoke to another representative who said she could see that a report was sent to the regional manager on Monday, the date of my original call to customer service and that it could be as much as 48-72 hours to get a call back. On April 4th I decided to give the situation a break and did not try to call anyone. On April 5th at 12:54pm, still without a call from anybody at Rooms To Go I again called the 888-709-5380 customer service number and this time I was told that they can’t be sure when the regional manager will call. WOW!!!!

BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!! I purchased the Cindy Crawford bedroom collection. Although I am happy with the actual furniture, I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ROOMS TO GO AGAIN! I spent over $5,000 in cash, and still got treated like I didn't matter. When they initially delivered my furniture, the movers broke my headboard, and brought a queen size mattress instead of a king. When I called to try and get everything corrected, everyone with the exception of one woman was rude to me. No one would help me except for this sales woman. They wanted me to wait 2 weeks for my new delivery! I decided to go back and purchase the media stand, which was the last piece of the "package" to receive the free television. They wanted to give me hard time about that as well. I did not think I had room for it in the first place which is the only reason why i did not buy it. It has been since January and I've noticed that I had picked out a mattress that was way too firm. I've been having back problems and went into rooms to go, simply to exchange it for the same brand and everything, I just needed it to be softer. They said someone would come out to examine the mattress and so she did. I told her that i was having back problems and she stated that they would not accept it back unless she said it was lumpy and hard, which she did. When i received a call back from rooms to go, they were trying to set up a date for delivery. I was confused and stated that I needed to come pick out a different mattress first. The person was very rude on the phone and said that I could only receive the same exact mattress. I stated that I would purchase the same brand and didn't even mind paying any difference, but I just need a softer one because I'm having physical problems. They said no, thats not possible. When i asked to speak with the manager they said that he would tell me the same thing. I said it didnt matter and wanted to speak with a manager. After the 3rd time of asking, they put me through and I got hung up on before I reached anyone. So thats basically over $1,000 down the drain. These people are pathetic. After speaking with someone from HAVERTY'S, they said they had many customers complaining of the same problem and they not only helped me find a mattress that I liked, but they also discounted it for me because I had bought from the before and they felt bad for what rooms to go had put me through. I never knew spending my hard earned money would be so difficult. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. I DONT CARE HOW NICE THE FURNITURE MY BE OR LOOK, YOU CAN FIND THE SAME THING SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR CHEAPER AND MUCH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE

The day after purchasing a sofa sleeper, i went into the store to look at mattress upgrades. The gentleman who sold us the set was not there and when approaching another salesman they complained about helping because they were not going to get commission. After waiting nearly two weeks for delivery, the delivery men had difficulty getting the set into the elevator and refused to try to bring it upstairs and told us to purchase a smaller set! Then without even telling us, they left with the furniture! After calling the store the manager told us they were not obligated to bring the furniture past the 3rd floor! At that point i cancelled the order and went to Ashley furniture which was right next door. i bought a sofa for nearly 1/2 the price and got delivery the very next day which they were able to get in the elevator... RTG NEVER AGAIN!!

ZERO STARS!!!!! I bought a sofa from RTG on March 5th and put it on my credit card. I had to wait 3 weeks for it to be delivered, which I agreed to. When it came, I noticed it didn't look the same as it did in the showroom. I called cust service but could not get anyone to answer! I called the store and the girl put me to speak with the "store manager". I told him I was not at all happy with the sofa that was delivered. He told me sorry but I only had 48 hours from the date of sale to get a refund, and once the item was delivered I was stuck with it! After trying to talk to him for almost an hour, the only thing he could offer me was to pick out something else in the store...NO MONEY BACK! I told him the salesman did not tell me that! The brochure he handed me with my bill of sale says all over it that Customer Satisfaction is a RTG priority. Well I am anything but satisfied with RTG! I asked who else I could talk to that could help me, and the "store manager" gave me the phone number to Corporate, but it was really the customer service number I had already tried calling. The "store manager" sounded like he was reading from a script and kept repeating the same phrase over and over to me about no money back, only picking out something else in the store, and I had 30 days to do it! What a bunch of hoey that is! No where else treats customers like that! He said it was my fault for not asking the salesman about the return policy! I said it should have been told to me, and/or posted in the store! I will NEVER shop at RTG ever! Not if they are the last store on earth! Buyer beware!

the reason I give 1 star is because is not 0 rip off warranty service they send you a rude , totally unprofesional guy to intimadate costumer when you make a claim for defectuos furniture , this is in miami florida the guy come trained to put on pressure on the defect to make it worse and make the report as it was your fault not theirs, when this guy knock your door be prepare for the worse almost turn down your main door like he is the police to intimidate costumer and treat costumer as a piece of shit , when you call them back to replace the furniture the guy already made the report as the cia favor , is an organize crime , even when is not your fault they make you responsable for the problem to make not replacement ,is very dessappointing doing business with this racketeers, I will make a bb complain and open small claqim court against them and never in my life buy a piece of furniture from this people beware!

Complaint Description: We purchased a bunk bed in april, 2011, from Ruby Gonzales at Rooms to Go in San Antonio TX. Upon receiving it in May they had to come out 3 times to get it set up correctly. Upon our first use we noticed the the bottom of the trundle was warped and not laying flat. I was not concerned at the time because I knew we purchased the extended repair plan and using plans such as these on my living room and bedroom furniture I have never encountered any problems. These other companies have fixed every nick and problem no questions asked. That is the purpose of purchasing the extended repair plan for mishaps such as these. We also mentioned that we noticed a nick in the wood furniture that we would like to get fixed. At this time we thought we were handling this in the correct fashion. We mentioned that the bed did come this way and unfortunately this is when we could take care of especially since the Rooms to Go claims our policy is your complete satisfaction. According the the paperwork it states that "after delivery we guarentee our furniture for a full one year against manufacturer defects or we will repair or replace at our option." We also knew that we purchased the furniture repair plan which claims right on front "For real life's little oops moments". We knew that this would cover the nick in the wood that we discovered whether that be our fault or not. We have purchased plans such as these because we have children and know they come in handy for accidents. Rooms To Go came out called the following day (March 14) and claimed that both cases were caused by customer abuse. I contacted the office back and asked for a thourough explanation, she said that it was our fault and it was our fault for not contacting them sooner. It should not matter if paperwork states within one year. She also added that the nick would not be covered either. I explained we had the extended care that covered accidents she said becasue I called Rooms To Go instead of the Repair plan they are telling me that the company will decline this incident. But the whole purpose of the Repair plan that we purchased as extra protection is to cover accidents. This is absolutely horrible customer service!!!! They state they will cover accidents so regardless of accident or thier fault we paid for the repair plan but yet they wont repair, so what did we purchase then?

I wish I would have read these reviews prior to spending my hard earned money on a wall unit. I purchased this unit from an Atlanta, GA store and noticed upon delivery and set up that is was damaged. I called customer service and finally received an appointment with a service technician the following week. The customer service associates were quite rude and unhelpful. I also had no idea that you could not return furniture once it has been delivered. RTG attempted to "correct" what is wrong, but I wish I could just return the darn thing. Never purchase from a store that will not allow you to return a brand new item in less than two weeks. I know this is hard lesson learned for me.

My husband and I just purchased a living room set from RTG in Ft Worth Texas. We purchased the free 51' t.v package 3d the furniture was delivered and the shadiest guys delivered it. They ended up scratching up our brand new door and all of the furniture pieces were either scratched very bad or was literally falling apart. We also had to wait the 5 days to go and get the t.v when we went into best buy to purchase the t.v they were out of stock they weren't able to do anything for us. So not only did we not get the t.v but we cant even return our furniture.

Rooms to Go Store Frisco, Emmit the Manager and Sadie the sales clerk. I purchased a living room set for my 20th Anniversary. Sadie Recommended and showed mw a coffee table that lifted up. I wasn't going to purchase the tables until she showed me the new lift table. when she entered the item she didn't put in the right one. She read back the order several times and told me I was buying the lift table. The set had to be special order since I wanted leather. When it was delivered it was not the table she sold me. TOday Emmit the manager said he was sorry and I can pay another $100. for the right table plus loose another day at work due to this error. I took off a day of work to wait for this past delivery and I was OK with it, but to loose another day of work plus $100. due to their error. Sadie said it was her error on entering the wrong number. I did not know it was a wrong number since I do not work for them. She pointed at it and said this is the set with the lift table on the receipt. Now, I'm stuck with a table I did not order and can't get the table I want unless I'm off of work and give the $100. I think a large company like this would stand behind their sales clerk error. I think Emmit should loose any bonus money for any sales to his store since they are selling products to people that the people did not order.

We purchased furniture for our great room in Dec 2011 - sofa, loveseat,60" TV console, end tables, sofa table, lamps & cocktail table . All was delivered on time except for a cocktail table - it was on backorder & would arrive on 2/17/2012. It did indeed come in on 2/17/2012. I am very impressed with our furniture & "was" very impressed with RTG. But, when the cocktail table came in one of the legs was scratched & had the finish was all scraped up. I called the same day & was told a new leg would arrive in 7-10 days. Mar 2nd I called customer service & was told they would find out where leg was & call me back either that day or Monday, 3/5 at the latest. No one from RTG has ever called me back so, I called & talked to them today & asked to speak to a superviser. Norma was, evidently, too busy to talk to a RTG customer so, again, I was stuck with a customer service (?) rep. Now I am exchanging the table & it will arrive on April 11th. Good up-front service, good product, the absolute worst after-sale customer I have ever received. I gave a "2" but will not shop at RTG again. I will go where they value customers want repeat customers.

I wish I had read these reviews before I went to Rooms 2 Go in Leesburg. I ordered a desk in late December and was told it was on back order. I really wanted the desk as it was different that any I had seen and the size was just right for a small room. I paid for the item in full with a debit card 3 weeks before the delivery date. Once the money was taken, the screen said the item was discontinued. The office manager looked it up and said no, it would still be coming and would I like a delivery date one week earlier. I agreed but received no notification call. When I called customer service, they said I had no delivery, the item was discontinued!! I was assured by Leesburg that it would still be coming. I was surprised when the next day a delivery truck showed up but of course I had no desk. The desk was delivered one week later but came with no hardware to attach the legs to the desk and when I opened one of the doors, the hinge assembly was just hanging, unconnected. I ran to the driveway but of course the guys were gone. I have started the return process but can't get the item picked up until a week after it was delivered and have been told that there will be no refund started until it arrives in the warehouse and has been there for 48 hours. THEN a check will be issued (but only on Tuesdays!). It will be another 2 to 3 weeks before I get my money back. NEVER again will I do business with R2Go! Really crummy customer service.

I purchased a pair of angel book ends from RTG and a decorative box for my china hutch. Once I brought them home, I did not like them. I went to return them for a cash refund, and they told me that I could not return them for a cash refund and that the merchandise was "as is". They said, the person who placed my order should have told me that. I told them, if he would have told me that I could not return those items, there is no way I would have purchased them. RTG return policy SUCKS! She went on to tell me that if he didn't tell me about the "as is" policy it is on my receipt. I said, yes it says "as is" after you have purchased the merchandise, but he should have told me that before I purchased it. I put up such a fuss that she talked to the manager and he said, give her a refund. But guess what? They do not keep (so they say) cash on hand and I would have to wait weeks for me to recieve a check in the mail from the company. I called RTG corporate office and spoke with customer service and she could not say nothing but I'm sorry that is our policy. This was my first time purchasing anything from them and the last. CROOKS! I hope they go out of business for poor customer service! They gave me a instore credit. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!

I bought a Disney princess bedroom set for my little girl, the furniture was delivered and evrything looked good except the trundle part of bed wasnt there. I called stor and was informed by manager that the trundle wasnt included but the set in store showed a trundle with the bed, the salesman said nothing of this to me or my wife even though we were inquiring about that specifically. I was told by manager it would cost me 299.00 more to purchase this and he would wave the shipping which is unacceptable to me. I then bought a chair from the same store had it delivered to same addres and was told I had to pay another delivery fee because I bought the chair from the other side of store not the childrens room to go. The chair was delivered and it was the wrong chair because the sales person wrote down the wrong chair and now Im waiting on another delivery and hope its the right chair this time. All said and done I will never buy another thing from the rooms to go in Columbia on Harbison or any other rooms to go.

Despite the bad reviews I read online, I bought a bedroom set for my son. I purchased the bed, dresser, nightstand, chest, matress, and bedding. I absolutely love it! Every person that comes to my house comments on the room. It was assembled by the delivery men; all I had to do was put on the bedding set and it was all! I have had the bedroom set for 3 years and it is in perfect shape. In fact it still looks new. I am looking forward to buying a girls black bedroom set I saw in the showroom for my daughter. Well, actually I guess I'm commenting on the kids rooms to go. I am looking for an adult bedroom set for myself, and I find the sets a bit simple, so I will not be buying the adult room ,but definitely my daughters bedroom. And let me add that rooms to go does not sell "cheap matresses" My sons matress is 3 years old and I sleep like a baby when I nap in it and he gets awsome rest. Why purchase an expensive bedroom set and buy a 2ooddl matress? Hello! You spend 8 hours a day in it why not get a good one right?

This store is a unreal do not order from them..... I order in 2007 over $5000.00 in furiture, It was problems from the start my bed came it was damaged on the post. sent replacement again damaged said they would check it before it is sent came again damaged theis happend 5 times .. Ordered in june and didnt get furiture until August, In feb of this year i had to have the mattress replaces due to sinking in the middle. replacement mattress i had to pay 100.00 to be delivered I am going on the third mattress two have come with holes in them, doesnt do any good to complaine you get no where!!!!! I've called corp no help there. Was suppose to get a call hour before drivers came no call no mattress on last delivery date. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THIER PRODUCT take your money and your stuck !!!!!! Can't get a refund because it is a replacement mattress. Never mind the fact that is is crappy furiture!!!!!! I wouldn't even give them a (1 star rating)

Rooms to go in Pensacola, Fl is by far the worst furniture store I have ever seen. I bought furniture over 5 months ago, they sent a defective piece, which I still have. The day it was delivered I pointed it out to the delivery guys and they "ordered" a new one. 5 months later, do I have it? NO!!! I have called numerous times and all I get is oh well I don't see where you bought furniture. Really well my $4,000 dollar bill says I did. Guess I can stop paying for something you guys have no records for!!! My phone number keeps bringing up my ex-husband's account and not mine. His name ended up being the name on my account even though I had them correct 4 times now. But now my account cannot even be found. The furniture is the cheapest, saddest excuse for furniture I have ever seen. I will never again buy from this store and deal with these ridiculous staff they have.

This complaint isn't about the quality of the furniture as I ended up not purchasing from the RTG in Deatin, Florida. I was going to purchase a Couch, loveseat, trundle bed and 2 matresses, cost: about $2800. Where the problem lies is with their delivery charge. According to the salesman, the delivery charge would be $85 for each room of furniture. So for the bed and matress, which is bedroom furniture there is one charge, and for the couch and loveseat, living room, there is another delivery charge totaling $170 dollars for a delivery going to the same residence, on the same day! Now how ridiculous is that. Needless to say I would not shop at RTG because of this.

To whom it may concern; I am a customer of your Rooms to go store: 220 Forum Dr. Columbia, SC 29229, and I would like to express my complaint, and dissatisfaction. I’m not sure it this would even do any good for as I was doing an online search for your corporate office address there was a lot of unhappy customer’s blogging. A few days ago I went in to your show room store to purchase a living room suite and the customer service in the store was very poor from the sales associates to the store manager. After being at the store for over 3 hours I was finally able to receive help form a sales associate in making my purchase. Well I received my furnisher a day later then the advised delivery date and when the delivery came I was told that they were not allowed to put together my items for they suggested that I do it myself or hire a man to do it for me. Well I told them to take the items back because I was told that all of my furnisher would be delivered and put together and I wasn’t so. I made a complaint to the Room to go customer services that advised me to go into the store and speck with a member of management. I went in to the store 2/17/2012 well management wasn’t their per. “Scott” the sales person, I was advices that when the manger comes in that evening she will be notified and she would contact me for a refund or for a renewal of the contract which would credit my account. 2/19/2012 I called the store asked to talk with the manager, I was placed on hold and then advised by “Ashley” that the manger “Carita” was busy with a customer she took my information I was advice that she would call me back. 2/20/2012 Called spook with “ Ashley” gave her my information again she asked what was it inference to, I advised her of the same thing that I explained to Scott, then I was told that I would get a call back from manger once shipment got back to the warehouse which would be Wednesday 2/22/2012. I am unsure of the polices or progress guidelines, but as a customer I am left very unsatisfied with the lack of customer service, poor management, and quality , I feel as if I’ve made a purchase from a company that has taken my hard-earned money and I get no satisfaction or help with a small issue. In good faith I paid my down payment, first month’s charges and now I’m stuck with ½ of my purchase, that’s still on my contract not only to mention the whole in the sofa put in there by the delivery guys. Today is 2/26/2012 and I still haven’t gotten a call from the store manager, I still only have ½ of my purchase and each time I call I am put off without an explanation or any assistance.

I bought the advertised deal buy a living room set for $1999. and receive a 50" panosonic plasma tv from Brandsmart USA. I was told at brandsmart that they haven't had them in since the tsunami in 2011. They weren't sure when they would get more in. "Maybe at the end of the month". I asked for an equal value and they had no 50" tv's. I could get a larger one and pay the difference. This is not what was advertised. I can not get any help from either brandsmart or rooms to go! I have called Clark howard, I am also calling better business bureau, and Governors office of consumer affairs. I will also have my whole family out on Saturday picketing. I have researched how to do this legally as to not get sued. This is unacceptable, I also work in retail and my company would never treat people this way.
