Unprofessional

Rent a center in Snellville, Ga. Has the worse customer service I've ever experienced. I've never encounterd an employee that spoke with such smart mouth as this employee. The sad part is its a manager who shouldn't even be allowed to manage animals. If you want to be talked to like a child then this is the right location for you.

Disappointed Customer

I rented a bunkbed from rentacenter, When they first came out to deliver it they had stritched mattresses. Bringing me out a old mattress that I did not except. They then sent back to the store and brought the right mattress I agreed to rent. After about 6 months I called the store and informed them I would like to return the Bed, because I have purchased another one that didn't require me to keep paying every two weeks in such large amounts. They then began to harrass me with calls and refused to pick it up. Each day that went by they tried to charge me for having it. Rentacenter you are a joke! I will never+never, ever consider or rent anything from your stores. You Have poor Service. Not only is your service [poor, you are rude, and your customer service Stinks!

Unhappy customer

About a year ago we bought a set of the whirlpool cabrios from our local rent a center. when we went in to look at them the manager told us they were only 6 months old and in perfect condition. later we found out they were almost a year old. a piece on our washer (part of the lid lock) broke. we called the company and they sent our washer off for 2 weeks. when we got the washer back it wasnt fixed! they fixed the wrong piece and apparently didnt test it to make sure it worked correctly. now we have been waiting another 2 weeks for the part to come in and everytime we get promised it would be in, guess what, it doesnt show up. we told them we didnt trust to send the washer off again because they didnt even fix it the first time, that we would just put the part on ourselves. silly how poor customer service this company has. if i would have known this would happen i wouldnt have invested so much money into that place. we did have a 60 inch tv and stand thru them, but after all of this, we had them come get them. im not gonna pay something off, invest all of that money because their stuff isnt cheap, and not be guaranteed the product will work when it is paid off. I will never go thru rent a center again and i will advise everyone i know to follow my example.

The put a hole in my wall and lied about it. It's been a month and no one has done anything about it

I am very unhappy with the service a received. First off. They bring my fridge I rented to my home, on the second floor, and either fell into the wall in the hallway or lost control of handling the fridge. I called and told them that they put a hole in my wall, the said they didn't do it. I'm am very positive that there was not a hole there before. I refuse to pay for the damages the have done! Refuse! They kept telling me they were gunna get it taking care of, and kept telling me they were gunna call me. They never did. Then they tell me it's outa there hands now corporate is suppose to call me so they can have the construction company come out but, I still haven't heard anything. Now they are comeing today to get my stuff.

Poor customer service/ pray on low to middle income consumers

I entered into a rental/lease agreement with RAC; I was told the TV had capabilities that it did not. I was given the the wrong remote and told it would be in, in two days its been three weeks and no remote. I was told that the TV had Netflix and it does not. I contact the maker of the TV and was told the TV was so old until they could not provide support unless I paid a $34.99 technical support fee each time I call in. I returned to TV to RAC and was then told; since you got it during a promotion the other items you purchased you not be offered at the advertised price at that time, and will go up to retail. They try to rip you off, but I'm will to take them to court for false advertisement.

I thought what a way to go... 90 days same as cash. Was ready to pay for a washer / dryer set that first day. The sales person said so much better to do their 90 day same as cash to be eligable for their warranty. Well that sounded pretty good. Not only did I have to wait for a week for the washer / dryer set, they delivered the wrong ones! After I told them they didn't work correctly, then the right set was delivered. A phone conversation with the sales person told me my payment was due. I asked if there would be a problem to come the following day. I was told "sure, no problem". I went to make my final payment... I was told it was one day after my 90 day same as cash and I now have to pay all the interest incured!! I will never use this company again nor will I ever recomend them to anyone.

Septic waste

A rent a center driver ran over my septic area after he removed the removed the blocks I had blocking that area at my home on 11/28/12, now I have waste water in my yard. I have been trying to speak with mangement at the corprate office no calls are being returned. Have pics of truck & damages. What do you think?? Poor customer serice.

Poor Customer Service

It is now 2012, I have rented from Rent A Center since 2005. I will no longer except poor customer service, from the Frazier location in Memphis, Tn. I have paid off 9 items from Rent A Center and has continue excepting poor serice. They have customers that can't pay their bill, but continue to harrass me, and I pay them $187.00 every two weeks. I have paid them up to $498.00 at one time.

Horrible Company

I have been in sales and marketing for over a decade and have never experienced poorer customer service than from this company. I waited until the last minute to purchase a new dining set for Thanksgiving and RAC was the only company in town that had the table style I wanted in stock. I wasn't sure I would even keep model they had so chose a rental option instead of the inflated purchase option. The "sales" staff was rude and their personal lack of product knowledge was abysmal. While in the middle of filling out the contract my 10 year old requested to use the restroom. They actually refused and I had to leave the store to find one for him. It was only in desperation for a table that I returned. The table was delivered late however the tech was friendly and apologetic. I had the table for about 4 or 5 days the "courtesy" phone calls began. They called repeated times and even though my account was not past due and I requested they stop; they still continued. When I complained the 3rd time regarding harassing calls I was told that maybe I should make other arrangements if I didn't like it. I did. I cannot fathom how a company that is run so poorly is still in business. If I could give a negative rating they would have it.

Relentless Idiots

Wow, 455 reviews, 1.8 rating nation wide, I can't believe this company is still in business! If I had a choice of negative star rating I would put it at about 1000!

Do not trust RAC

When my laptop died in 2010, I did not have a lot of money to go out and purchase a new one. RAC was my only option and I decided to give them a chance. The woman who assisted me was friendly and had great customer service. The first 3 months were okay, but then the harassing started, it wasn't bad- just a lot of calling. I paid to get them off my back. Long story short- I invested almost $2000 for my SONY Vaio laptop and I wasn't going to give it back because of one payment. I was blessed because my mother paid off my $133 balance and I got my laptop. Now it has been almost a year since it was paid off and my laptop screen went black. I called around different computer services and they were expensive so I called RAC and was hoping that their service wouldn't be expensive as well. I sent in my laptop so they could check what was problem and give me an estimate on how much it would cost. It has been 3 weeks and I still haven't received my quote or the problem. I have been calling and each time I call there is something. I want my laptop back and it sucks that you invest a lot of money and cannot get the same quality service as a paying customer that you were. I'm taking it headquarters because this is not how you treat people and their customer service skills need to be reevaluated. My advice for those who want to rent from any store, is to save your money and buy your own because it is not worth the poor service and money invested.

Horrible customer service

I recently rented a computer from rac. I then decided to buy a laptop instead of buying the computer. ALL my sons baby pictures were on the computer and I called and asked them if they would take his pictures off the computer when I brought it back. The man I spoke to was very nice and said he would do it. When I came in the next day I asked for him.. The employees said that he was not there. I explained what he told me on the phone. The manager told me that he had no idea why he would tell me that.. And that they would not do that for me. I then sat down and said I would wait. He motioned for my husband to come over, he said he would not speak to me anymore.. And that it was not their problem that the computer crashed, and even tho their employee said he would try and get the pictures off for me.. He refused to do it. I lost all my sons baby pictures because he refused to help me. That's ridiculous. I work in customer service and I have been taught to always help my customers any way I could. What horrible service. I also received a phone call a night before and obviously they forgot to hang up the phone because I heard their conversation in the background.. Talking horrible about women and they were talking about doing drugs. It's sickening the way they treat people. I will tell all my friends about this horrible service. And I will make sure my story get told to whoever will listen.

rude service

I have been a reliable customer, and purchase a laptop from your store. Also I am renting a 52 inch tv now. This week I rented a tv and xbox for a limited time so my kids could have a game day with friends. I returned the equipment early and was treated very rude when I asked If the remaining amount I could be added to my other account. So dose your company have a habit of cheating people out of there Money? I can assure you that you have lost a customer. The bad thing about this is I was planning on getting 2 more tv's and a laptop as Christmas presents for my kids. I guess I'll just put then on layaway at Kmart.

Closed day my 90 is due.

I have been a customer with Rent a center since 1996. My husband & I bought our 1st washer n dryer from them, and many things since. I have rented items for 3 years straight with no interruption then today I go in to make my last payment on the 90 day same as cash, that was due yesterday(Sunday) closed. They said I owe 400 instead of 100. I am very angry about it. Am waiting for regional manager to call me back and they have not yet. I NEVER had this problem in Kentucky, I been here in Titusville, FL for 2 years and they changed the manager, and now I have problems with them. I am hoping that they take care of this problem. I cannot afford to pay another 400 for the same item I just paid 400 dollars for.

Rude employes

I am late on a 2 wk payment and i told rac i wont be able to pay until tuesday due to the holiday. They told me they were gonna reject my payment sayin i shouldve returned the merchindise tilvi could pay...i told them i will pay what i owe plus the late fee and my next payment which is due sat all on tuesday before the nezt payment is even due and they were being rude and nasty...idk if it the area i live in broadway area in buffalo but i am a business person i dont mind paying my bills! Wht am i to do becuse i am not givibg them my furniture i love my furniture plus its almost paid for!

I have live in Wichita ks. I have been renting from RAC dince they first came to Wichita. I have followed RAC from one location to another and have spent plenty of money on rental items. some short term amd some long term but paid off. They treat me like I just started renting from them and I can't be trusted. They have never had a problem with me if I can't pay something. I will call ahead before hand if I know there will be a problem with my payment. I will even offer to deliver it myself to them if it is something that has to moved on a truck. Their customer service skills really suck and they feel they can talk to you any kind of way. Sooner or later they will be out of business.

After being on time with payments on a washer and dryer set never late on full month payments of $132.00 the first time i was not in on the first of the month to pay they called harrassing my wife for money so I told them come get your merchandise then my wife called them to make pick up arrangements and again they began to harrass her wanting her to pay for another full month after they pick it up Nevada/El Dorado Springs MO rent-a center is getting turned into the MO attorney General for Fraud and Our attorney is filing a suit against them and corporate HQ for harrassment. This company trains their associates to be rude and threatening because they want Money thats all this company cares about So this time they will be paying Us for the cost of their company rules for their own employees stupidity.

Rent a center on ww white in san Antornio went in my house and took ps3...with no adult home. And they took the wrong one

I have been trying to get online payment for two weeks now. The Sales Agent did not include my email address in the set up of the account. So i have wasted 2 hours trying to get them to add my email to the account. Unfortunalty they are not smart enough to make it happen. I would stay out of the pittsfield ma store they cannot even get a email address right. NOt to mention they could not set the computer I got configured so I could take it home I had to go back the next day. Then when I tried to install flashe player the computer asked me for a password. So I had to call and get that from them because they still did not configure it right.

The people at rent a center are rude .And they told me I couldnt rent from them anymore .Will never rent anything from them ever again.
