I used Rent a Center in Tucson Arizona for the first time and it was nothing but problems from the beginning. Their record keeping stinks! I called a week ahead to rent a bed and the day it was to be delivered they first told me they didn't have it on the schedule. I finally got the bed but was charged more than I was quoted on the phone. Then, when I called to have the bed picked up, they never showed up or bothered to call me. When I call the next day, they said I wasn't on the schedule. To add insult to inury, they started calling me after I had returned the bed to tell me that I owed for a second months rent. I will never use them again.

I HAVE RENTED FROM RENT A CENTER FOR 15+ YEARS AND THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE THAT I HAVE EVER HAD. I LOST MY JOB AND THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD WORK WITH ME, WELL THEY SUCK. 1. THEY NEVER STAND BEHIND THERE WORD. 2. THEY HAVE 3 EMPLOYEES THAT ARE VERY GREEDY 3. YOU HAVE A STORE MANAGER THAT HAS VERY VERY BAD EQUITTE, HE CALLS HIS CUSTOMERS, "STUPID AND IRRESPONSIBLE." WOULD HE LIKE THIS. THIS ALL HAPPENED IN COLORADO. THIS IS IN THE DENVER AREA. I FEEL VERY OFFENDED. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF JERKS. I THINK THAT THEY ALL NEED TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL ON CUSTOMER SERVICE RELATIONS. FURTHER MORE I KNOW THAT IT WILL NOT HAPPENED, BUT HE SHOULD APOLOGIZE FOR HIS ACTIONS.

This is to inquire why the Deming New Mexico store up and closed selling the contracts to Aarons Rental, Several customers property was repossessed because they were never informed of the transaction, in listening to complaints it appears that several payments which customers paid was never credited,my contract was to be paid off, however Aarons informed me that Rentacenter entended the contracts.We found that several of our payments was also deducted from our credit card however was not credited on our accounts,Aarons refuse to comment on what happened except that some store people was conducting dishonest practices,Its hard to believe that Rentacenter would sell the contracts and not have their other Rentacenter stores 50-60 miles away handle them. We are in the process of taken legal action. for Rentacenter Las Cruces, Silver City refuses to speak or inform us what happened, I request again that someone contact us

I am a very dissatified customer. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND WILL RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE I KNOW DOES EITHER. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with, and I myself am a customer service representative for the Hearst Corporation. I am renting a furniture set with a TV, along with a washer. I have had nothing but problems with the Sandusky Rent A Center in the Sandusky Plaza. I received the worst customer service from the manager (TAMMY) in that store. She is very unprofessional and spoke to me as if I am a child. Yelling and screaming at me telling me to shut my mouth until she is finished speaking. NOT PORFESSIONAL AT ALL NO ONE NEEDS TO BE SPOKE TO IN THAT MANOR EXSPECIALY A BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL!!! I had to return my bran new couch,(which I pay the bill and insurance on every week), do to it falling apart WHEN WE HAD IT FOR LESS THEM 4 MONTHS. They took my couch in the middle of December 2011 for repairs and I still to this day have not received it back even though I am still paying on it. They brought me a replacement loveseat, that was in horrible condition. (I had a full size couch), They advise me that the couch was clean and in great condition when they brought it into my house. When they left I lifed the cushions and to my suprise there were kids toys, dirt, tampons, hairbrush, remote of a different TV and several other decussing items in it. I immedialty called them back and asked that they remove the couch from my house. That is when the manager (Tammy)started being really nasty to me. Stating that it is not a law for them to clean used furniture before bringing it into your house, even though they advised me that it was in fact clean. She told me to go ahead and call the Health Department cause there is nothing they will do about it. They then brought me another couch that was also flity under the cushions. I cleaned that myself, which is so not right. She told me to go to AARONS if I was not happy with the service. I have already paid over $1000.00 dollars for this agreement, and will keep it going unfortinalty as to not loss all the money my husband and I have paid. I am going to persue other avenues to get this situation resolved as I no longer want to even speak to that manager. She does not deserve to have her job title as she is NOT PORFESSIONAL AT ALL. Customers buy from rent a center to be able to pay for things that they could not other wise aford all at once. But due to this experience I would rather do without. It would be nice if someone from the corporate office would contact me to help resolve this issue as I am going to the BBB with all of this as well. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH AND WILL NEVER DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely disgusting merchandise at the bee ridge store in Sarasota FL .. The items were absolutely horrible! Then on top off that, the employees are trying to sell me nasty,dirty,grimey with old sugar refrigerator that their using for their lunches!! Are you serious! I cannot believe you guys have the nerve to run businesses like this! Horrible. And another thing, how can you guys charge people double and triple the buy now price of any other store out there..? That's like saying, RAC and McDonald's both sell cheeseburgers but because I came to Rent-a-Center to buy my cheeseburger, it all of the suuden goes from a $300 burger to a 1400$ burger...? I mean seriously, does that make sense? Apparently is does to rentacenter... Con Pros! Should be their name... I mean seriously you guys are suppose to be Americans helping other Americans, but instead you shafting everyone with you triple priced merchandise "even if bought same day and paid in full".and that's not even the same as cash price, you guys charge up to 6 times the amount of money it would cost brand new, and your selling crappy used stuff! Terrible business and practice, Bad con man feeling when talking to staff, Disgusting grimey dirt on and in most of the stuff. I mean I honestly do Not understand why the Better Business Bureau is not having an absolute field day with this company!

Just wanted to conment that I was thinking about using rent a center and saw this site. Just wanted to say that considering the spelling and damn near illiteracy of these comments does not help me one bit. If you want to make a point you should try to sound thoughtful, no one will take you seriously with such a lack of thought. Also if you miss payments then don't even post, this is a company not a charity. I probably wont buy here though, stuff sounds cheap, as in quality.

My mother has purchased many products from R.A.C many times in the past years even paying off items before her contracts were over. This past week she paid a washer off and prior to her paying off the washer she reported that the washer had been broken (Monday). They came out and retrieved her washer and it clearly states on there cooperate website she would be entitled to a loaner in this process but due to her paying the item off (Friday after reporting)she was denied. Is this great customer service I think not R.A.C has lost another great customer.

I went into rent a center in kingsport tn and was denied being rented to. called customer serice and got approved to rent but was then denied free time. I have been a customer since they bought rent way out over 10 yrs ago. i have seen this store in kingsport tn decline over the years to pot. rude people with poor attitudes.

Rent-A-Center employees are not professional. Since renting from this company, I have been lied to and harassed. RAC's employees damaged my home. RAC says, "We can do anything we want because of our arbitration clause." "You can't sue us." I'm diligently searching for an attorney. Stay away from Rent-a-Center!

we bought a brand new quuen size bed and box spring no problems at all untill we paid it off they gave us a coupon saying we would get 100.00 off if we purchesde today so we said ok we will take a king size bed and box when i asked the price was told 649.00 same as cash if paid in 90 days so i said if i give you a 100.00 dollar coupon it will be 549.00 and was told no it will be 599.00 cause we take the 100.00 dollars off off what the full term price is well im no math genius 100.00 off of 649.00 should be 549.00 not 599.00 well thats only 50.00 off not 100.00 and when i asked i was told the full term is actual price you get 100.00 off of that but tell me what is this false advertisment 90 dsys same as cash so the price actual is 649.99 and i should get a 100.00 off of that wtf then they said we cant deliver it till thursday reason is i cant move that and my manager has a bad back well if you cant perform your job then you shouldnt work there very dissadifyied

I JUST WANT TO SAY, I WENT TONIGHT TO APPLY FOR CREDIT AT RENT A CENTER, A WAS DENIED BY THE STORE MANAGER ON EAST RIVERSIDE DR, IN AUSTIN TX, CAUSE I WAS BLACK, AN BECAUSE LAST YR, I WAS JUST TOLD I RETURNED THE T.V. BACK LATE, I THOUGH IF U RENT AN FOR ANY REASON CANT PAY RETURN. AN IT ALL GOOD. THE OTHER STORE ON ED BLUESTIEN RD. REPORTED I WAS 30DAYS LATE AN COORPRATE SAID DO NOT RENT TO ME.I THOUGHT IF U RETURNED THAT WAS IT. NOT SO. BUT I AM GLAD I DID NOT GET APPROVED, CAUSE RENT A CENTER IS BAD NEWS, CHEAP STUFF AT HIGH PRICES, BAD MANAGERS WITH POOR CUSTOMERS SERVICE, U BOUGHT AN PAID FOR A LOT OF MY FURNITURE AN THINGS BACK IN THE DAY THEY WERE GOOD, NOW THEY SUCK. I rented a computer from Rent A Center and was almost through paying for it and i sent it to the store for repairs. Tell me why Ken the manager sold my computer after it was fixed did not tell me my computer was ready. So when I came in to make the last payment. He tells me what are you making a payment on. I said what do you mean I had my computer fixed. He tells me the driver said you did not want it anymore. I said if you do not get me my computer I will be making a compliant to the head office. It took him 3 weeks to give a computer and then got mad and tell me not to come back to rent a center. So I called today ask could I get a TV he said no we do not have any. I said you are a lie I looked i the window Sunday and saw a many tv's. Then he said I put you in the computer as a hard customer. I said you are a lie cause I just bought furniture from RAC Acceptance. He is mad because he was talking to my sister and god sister at the same time and I told them about it.And he has not like me every since. I told him I would contact the head office because I paid my account out and I should not be refuse service because he do not like me. Now what more do I have to do to get justice for his behavior

This is the last time I ever get anything through rent a center. The stupid ad said guaranteed approval. The little idiot at the store tried to tell me I needed 6 references when the paperwork only asks for 4. Then proceeded to tell me that he would be stupid to rent to me. Told a lot of past history to a store full of people. We had called and asked about the promo the day before he was fine then said to come down and get a laptop and then pulled this. The district manager says go to different store. They had no problem with me and my autistic son. I still think that jerk at the Kansas expressway store in Springfield, MO needs to lose his job. I will never do business with them again. I will send all my friends elsewhere too.

Ive been renting from wellsville by rent a center for over a year now I had to have emergency surgery and was out of work for almost two weeks I paid them 100 of the 159 I owed then the following week I offered 250 and was going to pay the 9 dollars the following week I was giving them my whole paycheck which I'm a single mother of two children the manager les told me I owed 306 instead of 259 and he was gonna take the furniture if I didn't have it all well I had them come get their stuff after damn near paying everything off my payments had always been on time and I would pay extra at times but I couldn't help the fact that I had emergency surgery and was taken out of work les was cussing and swearing at my family and everything the employees that came to pick up the stuff told us that les was being rediculous and I agree I think it's pathetic after all the money we pay on that stuff that there can't b a little leeway in these circumstances and I don't agree with him calling me a liar and the vulgar language he used something needs to be done its pathetic until he is reprimanded I will warn everyone I know about just how " professional" rent a center is

I will never rent anything again from rent a center... I have been with them since 2005... This is the rent a center on barksdale blvd bossier city la 71112... The store manager is rude... Ive bought complete living room bedroom sets refrigerator washer and dryers TVs game systems you name it I've bought it and to be treated like this today has really ruined it for me.... Do not go there....

I am a single father. I raise my children all by my self no help at all. I just love my children they are wonderful. Rent a Center no not so much What a horrible place! I am going to be going to college in a few weeks. So I need a laptop makes things a lot better for you when you are in college. 4803 S. State Rd 7 Davie Fl is where I went to.Costumer service there is not good at all. They had an ad that laptops were there for 600.00 BRAND NEW acers ok great NOT AT all. I got there on a friday this was a weekend sale. No laptops when I got there but we have something else ok I said got it was crap used 750.00 crap. Took it back got a diffrent one again used crap NEVER had the NEW ones that they had on the ad now I am out 90.00 for a laptop I had two that never worked!!

I couldn't believe how unprofessional the staff became after signing my rental agreement. I should have seen it coming, after immediately signing my lease they did not want to honor the delivery date until I told them to refund my money. Still, I gave the benefit of doubt to them...WRONG MOVE ! My furniture wasn't assembled correctly and when I asked for it to be rectified, they laughed. No communication in the store what so ever, I left messages for call backs...nothing, for days ! My glass top was damaged, I turned in all required documentation for my benefits plus...nothing for 3 months now. First I was told they ordered a new glass and it would take about a week, then a month later was told they never said a week and was still waiting for it to be delivered. Two months of waiting, was told they were still waiting for the delivery and when I asked for one in the store I was told no. Three months now, after paying for a table I cant use...was told they couldn't order a new one and I could only have the used one I had asked for prior that they refused before. Then, after telling them I would not make a payment until I received my glass top, I was told they would not give me the top until I made payment...even sent a guy to my house to pick up the payment...WITHOUT MY GLASS TOP ! When I told him I would not pay until they replaced it, they called and threatened to end my lease, when I told them I wanted to exercise my 30 day hold period due to financial hardship, they threatened to end my contract, when I told them it was part of my agreement and I expected them to honor it, they said their policy had changed...quite convenient isn't it ? I have bought many items from other stores in Ohio, and this store manager in Clinton,OK is by far the most deceitful, manipulating person I have ever had to do business with. Very unprofessional to tell your customers about your personal problems and how bringing them to work has affected your career...and why do I want to do business with this person ? Why would rent a center allow or tolerate this type of behavior from a store manager ? Hell, if they are that blind to the type of people they employ...maybe I should apply and use it for an outlet for my life problems as well. Or maybe I should just stick to being a grown up, show my dignity and integrity by keeping my personal life at home and focus on my customer. So, I'll be sending everything back and going to Aarons...thanks for nothing but hard times and grief rent a center...I'll be sure to come back and post my experience with Aarons so your readers can compare and hopefully make a wise choice on where to spend their hard earned money !

ok so to whoever this may concern i just left rent a center and i should not have even had go back up there because i made a verbal agreement loud and clear to pay off my account in 90 days same as cash instead of going by the paperwork and paying my pament for 35 weeks.....so the 90 days ened on the 28th of december ,2011 today is january the 5th, 2012 the last day i made a pament was dec. 17th, 2011 and i made sure i payed a double pament so it would b paid off that day early so i wouldnt have to go back on the 28th well turns out the pament a one person named mandy bowers the store manager has me payin is only the minimum for a 35 week payment plan which is not wat we discussed i told her i wanted to en d my accout by 90 day no i do not care what she has on paper from the time i said i wnt to finish up my account n 90 days or less same as cash weather its on paper or not it is her job to make it clear to me the customer what ammount of money per week it wld take to pay it off in 90 day not job imNOTaMANGE

this place sucks unloaded the leather couch n sofa n scratched it up there is 5 scratches on it from them.they also harass me at work about being a day late.I mean if they dont care about there production of customer service why should we care about being a lil late.They also said that there payment was more important than takin my daugher back home to her mother....I MEAN REALLLY PEOPLE I WOULDN RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMIE
