Don't Promote Circus

Please consider removing your connection to Ringling Brothers Circus. Entertainment -- in this time -- cannot be based on imprisonment, mistreatment and cruelty to animals. The Ringling public relations is distorted. The animal "acts" belong to the thinking that motivated the Roman Coliseum. Ask yourself why the elephants are clothed in elaborate shoulder capes? To hide the scars and open wounds from being beaten. Humans can agree and negotiate whether their work will be in entertainment -- these sentient beings cannot. It needs to stop.

Same story different customer. Charged for a movie that was already returned, never received any correspondence that I "supposedly" had a movie still outstanding (on the contrary - do have the confirmation of return email in my inbox). However, after speaking to the 1st level customer service rep, he was unable to offer anything more than a $10 refund of the total $27.03 charged. I explained to him that I had the email in my files showing that movie was returned and would happily forward it on to him - still he said all he could do was refund $10 of the charges (?). Asked to speak w/his supervisor and received the same response. Obviously, this company is not concerned w/it's customer service skills and/or reputation. It's like they can't even understand what you are saying to them and they have just been programmed to come back w/the same response - even when you have an email from their company showing the movie in question was returned the next evening after rental !!! UNBELIEVABLE !! Unfortunately, like I, by the time someone reads this they too will already be a victim of Redbox's unfortunate business practices. Do yourself a favor and dispute it w/your bank or credit card company right away. I'm with Bank of America and they took my dispute this evening and are crediting my account back so that those charges will be reversed and available to me by tomorrow morning. Of course they can take up to 90 days to resolve the dispute but the fees associated w/it are credited to you the customer right away and stay w/you until the final decision is made. Plus, unlike Redbox, they where more than happy to have me send them a copy of the email showing that the movie I had been charged for had been returned and shared w/me that they have seen a lot of this going on an based on past experience w/these type of claims I should have no worries about the dispute resolution being in my favor. As a matter of principle, I'll be addressing my concerns w/Corporate as well - not that I expect anything to come of it after what I witnessed with there first line of contact but still it's a matter of principle.....

If you have a cell phone, what about taking a short video of returning the dvds? I also get a confirmation sent to my email address, and it's ALWAYS there showing the return; I like that as it's a good trail & confirms they received your return. But I would seriously consider video taping the return until you get the confirmation email then you can delete the video!

I personally have had no complaints of RB at all. But I can tell you, that somehow, someway, my bank account was hacked into (Only >> I << had the pin number memorized) so no one had access at all. I had some strange charges come up on my bank statement; my bank account was charged $320 for Time Warner, a gift shop charge, and several other places; the account was emptied. All which took money out of my account and APPEARED ligitimate on my bank statement! When I asked how could this be, the bank said it happens all the time. I personally have never had a problem with Redbox here in California & contacting them on line when a movie was broke/needing repair brought a free movie. Be careful though. Hackers can use your bank account & it WILL look legitimate anywhere you use your PIN; ANYWHERE. The bank wouldn't tell me how this happened, but said it happens all the time and refunded ALL my money. So if you have HONEST unsuspecting charges, keep that in mind. I also put in my pin number AT the Arco pump for $20 in gas, and when I checked my statement, it showed 12 minutes later there was an additional $40 charge. I asked the bank, how could this be and she told me that whenever you DO leave your pin number, than it can be GLEANED and used by someone else! I wanted you all to know this as many DO NOT KNOW that this can be done once you use your pin number. I filed a police report, but the owner told the police that I took the cash out. God knows; it wasn't so; only the $20 gas at the pump. Oh, well, he's probably doing it to a lot of customers at that Arco! Sorry about your bad experiences guys. I've been really treated well here in Palm Springs, California. Remember, where ever you use your pin number, access can be had to your account. =(

Redbox is a total rip off, with in educated customer service reps & supervisors.

RedBox is a rill rip off! I am reporting them to the Attorney General right now! I will be getting my $77 back.

I just got a message from my bank saying I had a 77.04 transaction taking out of my account from redbox. I never rented movies from them so I called redbox to let them know there was some kind of mistake thinking that they would look and see that I didn't purchase these movies and refund them BUT... Instead when I called them I got the most rudest ignorant sales rep and when I ask to speak to a supervisor she was even worse and wouldn't provide me with any information about the transaction and proceed to laugh at me and tell me there was nothing they were doing about it that they got my money laughed again and said that I would have to deal with it!!! I then demanded to talk to someone above her and she stated there was no one above her. I asked for corporate number and she wouldn't provide that either. So now my bank is doing a fraud investigation and refunding my money but I have to wait 4-6 weeks for it and I am a single mom of 3 and work very hard for my money!! I am also reporting them to the BBB since they have excepted the transaction with no signature and no requirement to ask for my personal pin for this transaction and charged me for a purchase I didn'take and when trying to settle it the way they handled things were unfair and 100% inaccurate and rude!! One word ~~ THEIFS not only from me but my kids!!

Red box Sucks.. We try to return two moves to 3 Location and the box said call customer service box cannot take move at this time.. Call customer service and the tell me they will give me 2 free moves , Well with me running around all day to return them you can keep your free move I will take my business to the video store where the care about there customers!

I'm sorry but I feel like your negative comments aren't valid if you cannot spell or use correct grammar throughout your complaint. RedBox is awesome! Just saying.

You guys keep charging my account now it's for fifty dollars I will like to know why I want a refund back I will never rent from your red box again

At first I thought I thought redbox couldn't do this to hard working people I got charged the maximum Amount for late fees when I clearly returned the movie the supervisor made it seem Like I was a liar nd a stealer , they act like refunding 25 dollar is a favor when its Clear there's a internal error red box is the worst no one should swipe there card They have your account nd can take money when they want , redbox nd whoever Is the ceo are thiefs beacuse this is happening to not only me but everyone who uses There services

Redbox is a top class company which does not rip off its customers.

Redbox has lost another customer.... They take money out of your account and then want to say they did not recieve the movies when I clearly turned them in. Wtf I need corporate number dead ass Smh I'm mad as hell right now.

Have been a regular user of Redbox located at a Cub Foods. Have always been good about getting rentals back. Our family inadvertently forgot to return a video on time and was charged $ 25 - no questions or reminders. Someone in our family just forgot to return it - our fault. Whatever savings are made through Redbox over time are more than lost in one absent minded oversight. Contacted Redbox, they were firm but reluctantly issued a $ 10 credit. Didn't realize they had this continued debit access on our credit card. Needless to say, we will not be using Redbox again. Maybe Netflix is the answer. We will send a note to SuperValu Corporate/Cub Foods, not sure SVU is aware of this practice. They are not members of BBB, a report will be filed. Our credit card company will be notified of the Redbox practice. It's too bad, thought Redbox was a nice convenience - but buyer beware.

I have been using Redbox for quite some time without a problem. Yesterday I received an email regarding a game I had rented and returned several weeks ago telling me that I was being charged the maximum amount for it. To be absolutely certain I conducted a thorough search of my entertainment area and both of my vehicles even though I remember returning the game and I do not have it. An extended conversation with customer service was completely unsatisfactory since the most they would do is refund $30 of the $67 they stole from my account and they acted as if they were doing me a favor to do that much. In regard to "Common Sense," you sound exactly like customer service. Congratulations on your luck, but there is an error in the system somewhere and I, for one, have been victimized by it. I resent having my money stolen and being made out to be a thief and or liar. I will never rent from Redbox again being that it now seems to be a gamble of whether you are going to have to pay full price for an item after you return it.

Redbox is a Scam.... took 76.00 out of my account. said that I did not return a movie a month ago, That clearly I did. spoke to a supervisor (stephanie) and she stats she is allowed to take it out because once I swiped my card I gave her access to my account!!!!! That because they are a paperless company they dont have to give anyone notice of anything. WOW I can not believe this is how they do business! I will be sure to tell EVERYONE how they take care of people. What a bunch of scam artists

so I checked our bank account tonight and I have a charge for 50.88 on my card.. I call redbox and they tell me its from 2 movies rented in 2011 and the last four of the card are not even my last four that is charged.. girl puts me on hold, talks to supervisor and says well those charges are closed so we are not trying to take money from you. I call my bank and she 3 ways to redbox and we talk to another girl.. she has a slightly different story but the bank lady tells redbox that i dont have a card with those last 4 on any of my accounts, esp for it to be charging a different card that what was used to rent. End Result I am suppose to fax something to Redbox to show I dont have that card,.. they want a listing of all my bank cards, to and the dates I got the cards to prove that i didnt do the charges.. well my bank card is now cancelled and I will dispute thru my bank and get my money back I hope.. and on top of it the redbox lady said there is another charge for 69.00 under my email addy with another cc that is not mine but that it might be tied to my bank account as well.. I AM OVER REDBOX!!!

UNREAL!!! my husband is furious with redbox and it takes ALOT to get him upset. The agent was helpless and the person who claimed to be a supervisor was worse, no power or sense to provide exceptional service. They would NOT provide a corporate address, phone number or email. They simply didnt care and the supervisor hung up on him!!!

I am also a very unhappy X-customer of redbox!! Their customer service is horrible! The customer service rep Melody pretty much said "oh well sorry for your luck" I asked to speak to a supervisor which I know was just the guy next to her (Cesar) cause he had no clue what he was doing... I have been charged twice for owning the same disk and they are refusing to refund one of the $60.00 charges!! Offering me 1/2 $30.. This is total BS!! I find this unexceptable from a company like this..I expect a refund!! I would also rate less than 1 star if I could!!

Me and my husband ahve rented from redbox since it first came out. I don't know if they are under new management or what but for some reason, within the past six months, deductions have come out of our account that shouldn't have. That's why I'm on this site now. I just got done looking at our account on line and saw that red box charged us three times in one day and there are several 10 and 11 dollar deductoins. we have never rented more than once a day and the total amount of movies we've gotten at one time is about 5 dollars worth. The only time I called about this, they told me we were a valueble costumer and gave us a stupid discount IF we rented more movies, the money was never put into our account that was taken. I'm so damn heated about this. If they do this do let's say, 1 million people a day, charging 5 dollars extra per person, that's 5 million dollars profit a day without distributing any product. This milarky needs to be put to a stop. I think first thing tomorrow, I am going to the bank and cutting up our old debit cards and ordering new ones. I'm so sick of seeing money taken from our account from corprate businesses. My suggestion is DO NOT RENT FROM REDBOX EVER AGAIN!!!! My next post will be of ripoffreport.com
