Unsightly trash at a storage location

The Public storage location at 4101 N Figueroa in Lincoln Heights is always surrounded by trash and debri that former tenants leave behind. It is unsightly and the surroundings are never cleaned up by the employees. This makes our Lincoln Heights neighborhood look so disgusting and dirty. I have taken pictures and would love submit them

over charging

I am disappointed with the services and over charges that Public storage charges. I was charge a total of 2 months for being 30 days late. I thought if you are late it's 20 dollars .However the company have no consideration for there customer.They are heart less people. i wonder how you all sleep knowing you are taking from people.

No Customer Service

No District Mgr Callback or Email Ever after over 3 months. Excuses. The front of my car got hit by their property gate. I followed all of their instructions, went and got estimates as instructed, Paid to have them scanned to email to District Mgr for 2 months. I did then receive a reply back that he is in another state now and he forwarded my information to the New District Mgr. No Reply Back Ever I hand walk in the repair estimates. After the 3rd Month of No Reply I walk in to complain and the site employee tell me that they have No Record of the Incident Report that their Employee Filled out while I was standing there, the employee Still Works There, and they did not bother to inquire with him about the incident.

Thieves & Crooks

I wish I could give them a lower rating than 1 star..I would never advise or recommend this storage facility 3555 South Loop W Houston, TX 77025 to anyone. I believe it was an employee who conveniently cut my lock and stole all of my vinyl records and other personal belongings, only to call me to tell me that my storage was missing a lock. I just left there with a lock on my storage, if it was missing one it's because they cut it and helped themselves to my belongings. I have been trying to contact the regional & district managers, but they are having system problems so calls are not connecting.

District Mgr. Erase's Payment

I buy Abandond storage units as a living. on 04/15/2013 I purchased two units, and while preparing to move the items I had payed for the Mgr. comes up and says the unit had been paid for earlier by the owner and they didn't Know before putting it on the Auction List. These people are suppose to know when the unit is paid for, especially before selling it at an Auction. After trying to argue my case the Auctioneer came in to return my money, he took my receipts and wouldn't return them and then Started to Erase the Sale on his computer, after a heated Arguement, I had called the Police and when the Police arrived, they issued me a Trespass notification, but would not return my Voided receipts. This Company is one Company that you should never do Business with, They will steal from you and then lie about the theft. I will see them in Court. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU.!!!! I rated them bad because they don't have a lower rating.

Public Storage SHAME

I wonder if ANYONE at Public Storage HQ can tell me WHY no one from their customer service area will call me back? I've made several calls, got hung up on once. The other times I've left messages for various people like the EXECTIVE Help line and my District Manager, I don't get a call back. AND YOU WONDER WHY I DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR YET ANOTHER INCREASE for a storage unit that has no heat, no AC and the light in the hall (none in the unit) goes out every 2 minutes. So I have to walk out of my storage unit, walk down the hall, turn the lights back on by the sensor, then walk back down the hall to my storage unit! And do it all over again 1 minute and 45 seconds later!!! UN BE LIEVABLE! Oh, and one star is GENEROUS!!!

It is my opinion now that Public Storage hires untrustworthy people and thieves. We recently had our storage unit broken into, one of which no one has seen the inside of except for the P.S maintenance man and management. To my horrible dismay I was called ten minutes before closing time by one of the service workers saying that my storage unit looked open, but everything "looked normal." When I arrived, the unit was made to look closed and my lock had been picked. Over $7000 in music equipment, including 3 drum kits was stolen. When I went to tell the service person, she refused to look at me in the face and just said, "sorry to hear that, but we close in five minutes" Call me crazy, but shouldn't P.S policy and maybe even good customer service require the service person advising a police report be made? Or even pretend to show some sort of sympathy? Needless to say, I still haven't even heard form the manager of this particular storage. It is hard for me to think that the people work at this location were not involved or had something to do with a huge piece of my life and memories going missing. DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS AT PUBLIC STORAGE!

pre-lien fee

Times are tough and money is tight. I have missed afew payments but I do catch them up. But lately they have been adding pre-lien fees after the first missed payment .used to be after the second . Did P.S. Change their policy? Fresno ca.

Refusal to pay on invoicing

Be advised that from my experance that Public Storage refuses to pay at times for services requested and completed. For example there is about $40,000.00 in outstanding invoicing over the last 3 years that have not been paid. All I find is a wall of slience when I approace anyone from the VP of the east cost to the local RM's I have now suspended all service to Public Storage.

i would never advice anyone to deal with those people.Customer service is really bad.i'am still waiting for district manager to return my call since the 6th of March,4 messages left already for her.i don't know what kind of people they hired in that place ,i wonder if they had ever gone to school for these positions they holding.NY SPRING VALLEY

Ripped off in Miami

We had a massive amount of winter clothing removed from our storage unit, through a gap in the wall to the adjacent unit. Public Storage takes no responsibility for the burglary and the insurance that they forced us to take declines any coverage as there was not "visible forced entry". Personally, I think it is an inside job as the employees are clearly aware of the gap and it is easy for them to access the adjacent unit whenever a guest moves out. Shocking service and terrible response, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Bad CUSTOMER SERVICE

This is the worst company ever!!!! I have been trying to speak to someone since yesterday left several msgs with no return call... Makes me wonder if this company knowns the meaning of CUSTOMER SERVICE?!!!!! My advice for anyone needing a Storage company to pass on PUBLIC STORAGE and save themselves the HeadAche... I was forced to give the company a rating before it will allow me to post my comment so even though i gave it a 1 star i would like to make it, minus 5 STARS!!!!

invoice or not, they still wanna be paid

I am a Staff Accountant and I deal with many many vendors. This is the only vendor that I have had a problem with. I am unable to obtain an invoice for our rental. The person at our location couldn't help, the District Manager does not return voicemails, Customer Service couldn't help because as a company with several units we don't have a "Security Question"; Corporate switched me to A/P who didn't return my phone call; I asked for an A/P Supervisor (probably a Staff Accountant such as myself) who also did not call back. What an awful way to do business!!

Long Term Relationships

I have been a customer for approximately 22 years and have rented as many as four units at one time. We are constantly encountering hostilities from the front office personnel and we are receiving a lack of concern from management. I would think PS would attempt to maintain and retain long-term relationships. The front office agent consistantly assign our payments to incorrect accounts and then assign late fees. Additionally, our lock was cut off as an attempt to auction off our belongings. We have all the documentation to varify PS was incorrect to do so. Todate, we have not heard from local management or hdqtrs to address/correct the issue. Escalating issues does not foster increased ROI.

Satisfaction

I use Public Storage for over 15 years and I am very satisfied with the service. I have a storage in Hawaii but I am paying my rent in Vegas or California. In Santa Rosa Ca, I am very satisfied with the service rendered by Ms. Katya McKinzie who is very patient to look for my account when I pay my rent. Ms McKinzie is patient, friendly and very pleasant to deal with. She is very helpful and knowledgeable.

Stalking Me Daily

I called to ask about a unit and told them that IF I was interested that I would be there that afternoon or the next day. I didn't need the unit and told them that 3 times when they proceeded to CALL ME INCESSANTLY FOR TWO WEEKS STRAIGHT!!!!!!!!!! I will never use this company again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I complained to the corporate office and they could not care less!!!

I live in Joliet,Ill. -tried to get into unit yesterday(2-25-13) could not because snow was piled up against door of unit all the way across the unit by the plowing company they use. My unit was the only one like this,my unit was not the only one in a corner,went to office worker she said she would e-mail person in charge of that public storage , have not heard back. If I can't get to it why should I pay for it.They sure want their money on time.How about some courtesy and I should be pro rated for the loss of use.

this is the worst business ever

The gate is broke over a month it stays open 24/7 where anybody can come in and brake in units people running businesses out of units and there employees have access and they almost hit u trash all over this place is in Oklahoma city off of Reno and Rockwell don't go there not a good place and the manager will not respond to complaints I give a no star for a rating

alsip public storage burgerly

Alsip public storage on 115th and cicero is experiencing a high volume of burgerlies since nov. 2012. I been paying for a nearly empty unit for several months because my unit was burgerlized as well as over dozen more and counting. The facility manager is doing nothing to beef up security or assist in finding the theives nor do they offer any refunds for units that you paid on where they failed to keep your valuables safe and secure. They knew the burgerlies were occuring and they didn't tell the customers properly nor notify any other customers that their property is ar risk of being stolen. Don't store your valuables at alsip public storage its only an illusion they offer that they will provide a secure safee place for your belongings. They did not even offer an appology to me aftger all of my belongings were stolen. Police think its an inside job or someone who has good knowledge how the storage company operate3s as these burgerlies are being conducted in phases.

Back in 2012 my husband and I rented a unit from ps in Virginia Beach we always paid in advance and in Nov moved out.Was told we would receive a refund for Nov due to paid in advance and moved out early.Still to this day no refund they won't answer your calls or return any.I will never rent from these people again they need to be shut down they take your money and advantage of all.
