My wife and I brought our two dogs to the Manchester CT store last weekend for their shots. We recently moved to Manchester from Long Island where we have been regular customers at the vet clinics held on weekends. On Long Island we never experienced and issues, the service was always fast and first rate. Upon entering the Manchester location we waited in line for over two hours to be seen by one of the vets aids. We were told our ten year old dog could not have all of his shots on the same day because he was ten. I listened as another one of the employees told another customer the same thing only this time with a twist. He told the woman her dog was four and only ten pounds so he had to come back as well for the second round of shots. When it was our turn to go see the vet she couldn't draw blood from our dog because she didn't have a vein, therefore she wiggled the needle around until our Bishon was bleeding all over the floor. I complained to her that we found it unnecessary to return for the extra shots and I demanded she do it. She refused. We paid up front on last weeks visit to return again today for round two. Upon arriving on visit two I walked to the vet station and told her I called numerous vet clinics and asked if the shots could be done on one visit. All said yes. She responded by saying to me, "I remember you, I refuse to serve you". I replied, I already paid so if you don't, I'll sue you ass off". I waited in the line for two and a half hours only to have her call the police and have me thrown out of the store. Further, her and her staff told the police I was throwing around the F bomb. I have never been so humiliated in my life. After I went to see her, the store manager came to me and asked me to leave. I explained to her, (Dawn) that I had already paid and I wouldn't leave. At that point I started the recording function on my cell phone. Not once, did I swear other then the sue you ass off remark. The remarkable thing is the Manchester cop wouldn't even listen to me and basically sided with her. So, we need to get the dogs shots as he is going to the kennel while we are on vacation. I have paid for the shots but I am not allowed to receive what I paid for. Remember I said I have the recording. I almost feel like suing them for slander and defamation of character along with the fact that I have never ever been treated like this in my life. Totally embarrassing. I will never visit a PetSmart again as long as I live. I will let all friends and family know how they treat customers and I will visit petco for all of our dogs needs. By the way, the vets don't work for Petco but somehow they managed to have me thrown out of the store. Beware of the long lines and the incompetent vets that sometimes get hired at these stores. Time to find a regular vet.
Pet Smart Lake Havasu City Az. I was questioning the store manager regarding some of the items in his store and why was the pet smart merchandise so much more expensive than the the other stores in the same area.Eg. (Milo's dried chicken strips )Pet Smart price $17.99 . Safeway price $14.99. Walmart price 11.99. All items are regular prices not on sale. Kong toys I scanned the upc with my phone and found that Pet Smart charges $12.99 for what everyone else charges low as $6.95.Same item same upc. Why are we letting Pet Smart rip us off? The manager tried to tell me that they must be a different items. I scanned the upc. Need less to say the manager was useless and some what rude.I work to hard for my money,I do not need to make these big box stores any wealthier.
first i would like to say that i am very sorry for your bad expierence with petsmart i am currenly a groomer at petsmart in glen burnie md and its unfair to say that all petsmarts are horrible i and all the girls that work at my store truly love our job and treat each and every pet like they are our own second i would like to explain the grooming process if your appointment is for 7 am your pet is due out at 11 am sometimes it may take longer some dogs dont like the dryer which means we have to kennel dry them and if you have a dog that is considered a breathing challenged then we cannot kennel dry them so if you have a shih tzu ,poodle,pekingese and ect. your dog cannot be kenneled dried or if you have a dog that is a mixed with a breathing challenged breed they cannot be kenneled dried and if you own a pet that does not do well with grooming it may also take longer customers stand outside looking in we have to control the pet we must be stern with them its very easy to cut a dog or a cat if a pet is thrashing around we must hold them we have to lift there legs up and we are not hurting them and people like to complain about there dogs nail being quicked yea it sucks but yes it happens its never done on purpose sometimes it happens when the dog starts pulling and then they start the alligator death roll i know im just rambling on but with all of the comments about how bad petsmarts grooming is i could sit here for days now back to what i have to say if you want you pet done quickly then you need to have your pet done as an express at my store its 11 extra and that is so your pet is done straight through never goes into a kennel and thats the only pet we work on and seriouly if you have somewhere to be at a certain time and you want your pet groomed then you need to do it when you have nothing to do because anything can happen sometimes dogs can be good for the first 3 grooms and then you come back and the dog could be having a
I too will never send my dog to petsmart for anything, the Banfield clinc or grooming. They do a terrible job, but most the time with our dog since it was just a bath and nail clip they would charge you for it and never do anything. I also agree keeping your animal all day for a groom is ridiculous. The same with Banfield a year checkup and the poor animal sits in a kennel all day. I won't even shop at petsmart. Terrible service all around. Not to mention the pet hotel, terrible also. I have been to petsmarts in California and Arizona. Never again.
This is about the Petsmart in Colorado Springs CO located at 571 North Academy. We try to do all of our shopping in our neighborhood and this is the closest Petsmart. We have shopped there for years and spent A LOT of money. I don't know if there is a new manager there or what but shopping there has become a VERY unpleasant experience. 1) There was a sale on Friskies cat food earlier in the year. I checked on line to see when the in-store sale ended. I went to shop on the last day of the advertised sale and they were taking down the sale tags. I went to checkout and said, These should still be on sale. It states on-line that they should still be on sale plus that's what your sales tags showed that were being taken down. The checker asked a slight young woman with dark short fluffy big hair if they were still on sale and she said in a nasty voice, Do you have the on-line print out? I said No, I didn't think I needed it. In an even nastier tone she said, Unless you can prove it we don't have to give anyone the sale price. I chose to not pay for my cart load of canned cat food there and went and bought it at Wal-mart for much less per can. My other complaint is that the employees are just short of rude any time you deal with them whether it's to ask a question, get help, or at the checkout. None of them seem to care about customers or animals at this particular store. Plus if you use coupons they treat you like you are trying to cheat them. They are surly and sometimes rude about coupons! In a nutshell, I don't need to be treated like that. I will start shopping at another Petsmart and if it's the same elsewhere, there are plenty of other stores in Colorado Springs that will be happy to take my money!
Dear Sirs, Last month I took my Papillion dog to Pet Smart for grooming. Shannon, the groomer, took care of my dog, Sassy, and upon picking her up I saw that her tail was severly cut. I took her back and after telling Shannon that her tail was cut off, she denied cutting her tail and said "we never did that"! I felt so sick and so disappointed that she would do that to my Sassy. I will never take her back to that store for grooming and will tell everyone of my friends and neighbors whonat happened. Of course, my neighbors have seen Sassy, and were shocked that her beautiful tail was cut so severely. It makes me sick everytime I look at her. Thank you for listening. I am currently on hold for over 15 minutes trying to find out why PetSmart has not responded to garnishment paperwork served on your Corporate office. Is this the kind of service you give to all of your customers? Pretty poor respone and phone system if you ask me.
If the star choice was available to grade the Petsmart Day Camp in Monroeville,Pennsylnvania it would be NO STAR. I was taking my puppy to Petsmart Day Camp for about 2 months at that location and gradually I noticed my dog appeared to be shaking everytime I went to drop her off at the Petsmart Doggie Day Camp. Sometimes she would have diarrhea after returning home and most of the time she was so thirsty on the way home I had to stop and get her a cup of water. Finally, on my last visit, I picked my dog up , but this time the staff member brought her to me carrying her out with no collar or leash. When I began taking my dog home, she began vomiting violently in the car, I pulled over several times and the vomit just profusely came out of her mouth and she appeared very ill. When we got home, Ginger, my dog, got out of the car and was then vomiting and had diarrhea at the same time and she rolled on the ground and then didn't move. I called her VCA VMD and was asked to call the Petsmart Daycare center and make an inquiry as to what Ginger might have been exposed to or anything out of the norm. I called and was told by a Petsmart associate that, "there is no easy way to tell you" she said, "but your dog ate a lot of other dog poop, and more than she usually does." The associate said, "your dog thought it was a game and we couldn't stop her." I do not understand why they did not stop that action and put her in day care where she would be in a secure area, and why did they not tell me this when I picked her up? The associate then told me that my dog would be ok and they have had other calls about dogs being ill after consuming dog doo from other pets. So, now I knew that they were allowing my dog consume as much poop as she wanted to, I guess they were using her to clean up the mess and instead of doing it themselves. What kind of people would le
On April Sisteenth,2012 I took our two Cocker Spaniels(Brother&Sister)Missy and D'ogee to our local Petsmart(Biloxi)for there schedgualed Grooming appointment. First of all when I make there appointments I always ask for a appointment where they can get in and out quickely, because we have on many/most occasions taken them in beetween 7AM and 8AM and don't get a pick up call till 2,till 3:30 PM.which we feel is a unreasonabel amount of time for Grooming expecitonaly since the are Groomed on a regular schedgual.My Husband picked our Dog's up and we had plans that evening so shortly after they arived home we left,let me also add there report card from the Groomer noted that both Dogs did very well,looking forward to there next visit( Large Smiley Face).D'ogee our Male who has the best laid back disposition ended up at the Veterinarian,His DR had to preform surgery on his front paw,one of the pads had to be removed! and his whole rear end was so cut,gouged and raw that the Vet had to clean and Dr it. We have spent the last two weeks taking care of a very Miserabel Dog. antibiotics,pain Meds,ointment and changing bandages. Needless to say Im very Pissed.There is no way a Groomer didnt know that she was Torturing this poor Dog! This was Neglect and Abuse! still cant put in to words what I feel about this, I do know I will never step foot into another Petsmart.I will Support a Local Groomer after doing much research after this experiance. The only beef I have with Petsmart is that I recently told them of sick animals in the adoption room in Cherry Hill, NJ and was told that a meeting would be held and I would be called and I heard nothing. He was probably told to hush. I told him that a cat had died after being adopted with a fatal virus and that there were still cats inside that were exposed to the virus and are being adopted and more cats are being brought in to unsuspecting adopters and they still ignored it. the director of the shelter is totally useless. she won't even listen. The people running the center bring sick cats in all the time and try to treat them in there while the sickness spreads. Now that I am not there to try to protect the very young cats, all I can do is complain, complain and complaint till someone closes the door on the group in there right now.
Petsmart store #1127 in Hoover, Alabama. April 29, 2012 [530pm] I want to commend an outstanding employee by the name of Debra. The fish section was very busy with lots of people wanting fish. Debra was being very courteous and professional getting to everyone. There was however one particular lady that despite everything Debra could do caused a scene. The lady was demanding Debra’s name to contact corporate. The manager had finally showed up to help with all the people. This lady upset Debra to the point of tears. The manager did not step in to help his employee or to even see what the could be done about the complaining lady. It was near closing and everyone was being very patient except the one lady. Now keep in mind that I have been coming to this store in Hoover for years … years! The main reason I always return here is the employees. I’ve seen Debra working in this store for at least 4 years that I can recall. There are others there as well. I was just commenting to a friend how this store has several knowledgeable employees that have always been there and are considered reliable. I’ve seen Debra work with other customers and has ALWAYS been professional, personable, engaging, etc. This was the first time I’ve ever seen her upset. I would not want a complaint from someone who was impatient and very rude to be able to put a mark on Debra’s outstanding customer service. If anything Debra should be promoted. I don’t know Debra personally, but I can tell you that she is a stellar example of excellent customer service and you should do whatever you can to keep her and reward her for being such a outstanding ambassador of Petsmart.
I have had problems with the grooming manager at the Wyoming & Academy in Albuquerque . She was her usual rude to me today when I tried to make an appointment with the groomer that I always used refused me appointment. I have told several people to go there, so I have just called them asking them not to go there anymore. I didn't have to tell them who was the problem they already knew how rude she is. Petsmart grooming has now lost 9 customers and I'm just getting started.
I went to pet smart in mytrlebeach sc I purshes some colthes for my baby when I go home thety was to small for her I took to them back to pet smart, in lexinton s,c where I live the young lady ask me do I want to exchange it out for some thing else im the store I her you yes.so I went to get the thing I needed she rang them up. Well I had some money left still to spend so I told her to put it on gift card she said left me call my manger. So he can put on there for you.well he came his name is tj he had a bad attitude. Was rude. He was asking my husband where he bout when he bout it my husband told him he dont be with me when I shop. So I went and put my dog in the the car and came back in the store and I ask him whats the problem. The cashier have bag up the items we exchange .he tells me that he can not return no items without a receipt. Then he ask me when did I bout it where I bout it so I told him sunday. He started talking about the items only been in the store for three days. So I ask him why was none in his store the outfits that I bout for my dog was no where in his store. But he tell us that they came in three day ago. I took my stuff, and left. He acted like we stole, it are somthing.
I shop at the store in hamilton marketplace in NJ every week. I have never had a bad experience. Everyone is very friendly. As soon as I walk in the door someone greets me. The manager Tim is always there and is very nice.. We took our dogs to the groomers and I warned them about our cocker spaniel. He is a trip. I have to help the groomers at the vet when I go there. I decided to try petsmart. The lady who did Samson did a great job. I knew it would not be easy. She was very nice. I felt sorry for her. I will bring both dogs back there. Once again , your store in hamilton marketplace is awesome.
I drove to a store in Austin and the paper work was incorrect,mind you this was not my fault,but was asked to correct it and deliver to the right store, in San Antonio,mind you I was half way home, I went back to pick up and drop off at right store, went above and beyond to do this on my time,I delivered the product and just to hear associate yell at me that he did not have much time,short of staff, very unprofessional on his part,I told him that I was doing this on my time, BY THE WAY THE ASSOCIATES IN AUSTIN ARE AWESOME.IT WAS NICE KNOWING them.
how do you make a complaint to an wooden spoon!corp. petsmart does not care!WOODEN SPOON!wooden spoons have no sense of self AND NEITHER DOES PETSMART!!!!! think i am full of it,then you try to get corps attention let alone speak to live human, unless you get the guy who takes your gripe and returns it to local store. all complaints are returned to the local store for response.ha ha ha ha jokes on you, i don't care about petsmart either.my $ will go somewhere else,henceforth.petco,dotties,magoos,anywhere but the "spoon that just doesn't care"!this is a corp problem, not local,seeps through all layers! i tried! i contacted petsmart 3 different times and requested corp attention, only to be returned to the local level.goodbye spoon,anyone can open a store,but here's a little tip about dealing with customers=it's service,service,service stupid!
I had brought my dog to a Petsmart groomer in Vestal NY today. He was in perfect health and was thoroughly checked out by my local vet a week ago, no ear problems no nothing. When I got my dog home which is a lab his ear lobes were swollen and I was told he had Hematoma. My vet checked him thoughly and there were no signs of Hematoma whatsoever. Banfield is suppose to be checking this dog out but I feel its the fault of Petsmart grooming that did this to my dog and this problems should be corrected with the hospital and the store, since it wasn't the fault of the owner.
I had taken my puppy to be groomed at Petsmart here in Flagstaff, Az many times before the incident on Saturday. I made an early appointment to be out of there early. Well there were 2 groomers waiting to get in to work and 3 customers also waiting. From my understanding the manager was supposed to be there at 6:30 am to get the store ready. He shows up right at 7:00 am. The groomers were clearly upset. He walked up didn't even acknowledge the employees or the customers. I left my puppy there to be groomed. I went to pick her up later and found that they had given her a sanitary shave which left her inflamed & irrated. I called back and was told they would see what they could do. I had to take her to the vet and get medication to try to make her feel better. This was a very costly grooming for me. $37 for a very poor grooming & $71 vet bill.Do these people not realize that customers are why they get their pay checks? Very disappointed in how unprofessional the management team is here. It seemed like the manager had groomers that were clearly unhappy about the situation and you have to wonder if they take it out on the animals that they groom. A day later and my puppy will not get up to walk because of the irratation on her bottom. I "WILL NOT" be taking my puppy there again nor will I buy any of their product. I would rather drive across town to Petco to get anything I need now.
I recently took my Shih Tzu into PetSmart to be bathed and trimed. Her hair (fir) is long, and is brushed and combed two or three times a day such that she does not get matted. I had an APOINTMENT for the grooming at 11:00 AM, When I brought her in I made three very specific requests. 1. Trim well around her "exhaust port" (her rear end. 2, Trim her face so that she can see easily. 3. SHAVE her paws up 1" to approximately 1 1/4" up from the pads. I was told it would be 2 to 3 hours, and that they would call when she was ready. At 3:35 I went back to the store, 4 hours and 35 minutes later. As I walked in, the groomer who was sitting at the desk, looked up and said "oh, I was about to call you". He then went and got my dog. She had been bathed asnd had a PetSmart ribbon in her hair. NOTHING ELSE HAD BEEN DONE! When I asked what was going on he proceeded to do a quick shave of her real and tried to trim her paws with SISSORS! Bad move. I did discuss this with the managere, and his response was "we were slammed". That to me is NO reason to take over 4 1/2 hours to do less than an hours work. I do not know for a fact, but I strongly suspect that PetSmart groomers are on a commission and the more animals they take in the more they make. My assumpsion is that the PetSmart policy is Quantity not Quality. Yes, I was offered a free grooming in the future. If it goes as bad as this one did it will be a waste of my time.
I first like to thank your "Presentation Manager" Keith Harris for assisting me quickly and handling my concern professionally. I purchased an aquarium which I had for a little over 30 days and cracked when I was removing the stopper (plug) to release the water. I went there thinking I would incur "drama" but to my amazement was handled in an expedious manner which made me feel really good because I have been a customer of Petsmart for several years with my dog having the "wellness plan" and Banfield being the veterinary of choice (jenkintown & Oregon stores / PA) as well where I purchase my dog, cat, and turtle food and accessories. Thank you for not disappointing me with excellent customer service and I commend "Keith Harris". Thank you, Ella Bess
