My comment is about concern. I tried to find an e-mail address for Pet Smart because I know this is not the right department to voice my concern. I was at the Pet Smart store by Regency Square Mall in Jacksonville, Fl. today. (July 4th) I have to tell you how totally disgusted at what I saw. Your employees were throwing out bags and bags of dog food, pet toys, collars , etc. I thought your company was sincerely interested in dogs. Jacksonville has a no kill shelter. They could have desperately used everything your store threw out. To cut off the tops of bags of dog food is beyond disgusting! I thought your company was for animals ? How can you even justify that, when there is so many homeless, starving dogs and cats? I will not spend one more dime in your store. I'm sure many more customers will find out what hypicrates your company is! I hope by word of mouth Americans will spend their money on companies that truly care about the welfare of homeless animals. Shame on you!
I would like to inform you about the management of one of your Petsmart store. I live in san antonio, tx. The store is located off of Highway 151. My daughter went for an interview about 2 months and then her drug test. Carlos one of the managers said she was hired. My daughter called back Carlos that she did her drug test. He said "On by the way we hired someone already. Then 2 weeks ago, Carlos calls my daughter to see if she is still interest in the position with Petsmart. She said "yes", but I have to give my 2 weeks notice on my other job. Carlos said thats fine. So, my daughter calls Carlos today June 21,2010 to see if she needs to bring anything else. Again Carlos said "oh by the way we hired someone else. After my daughter quit her present job to work with your company. This is no way to treat anybody. No courtesy call to let her know. Now she is without a job. You really need to train your managers better. That was not called for. My daughter is a hard work person. Loves to work with animals.
I took my two dogs, a yellow lab and a cockapoo to the groomers at your store # 338, my lab was to get his nails trimmed the cockapoo was to be groomed. A young man and girl said the cockapoo could not be cone as her back was to nappy and they don't have a blade for that, I accepted that so I asked if they could trime the nails of both dogs the young man said he sould but in fact in hands were shaking and he couldn't do either dog! THe gentlemen before me had a small dog and your employees told him the dog was to aggressive I saw no agreesiveness. We were all scheduled a 8am another man came in with a big dog might have been a german shepherd he could not bring his dog around other dogs your two employees let him stand outside the door until they wwaited on us! These wmployees must not have any customer service experience and are lacking when it comes to grooming dogs. I used to go to PetSmart in Pennsylvania they were very good, I had taken my dogs to Petco here in Fl. and there was not a problem I did not go back to Petco this time because of scheduling. You are losing a lot of business! I hope for other you can rectify these problems!
A VERY CONCERNED CUSTOMER FOR THE GROOMING DEPT: I was at the Victorville Pet's Mart in California today to purchase dog food for my small dogs. I am a regular customer and I am at the store weekly. I was dismayed as I was viewing a groomer, grooming a small poodle very roughly, brushing the poodle's ears and the little poodle cried and pulled away twice from this groomer. I told the groomer to stop being so rough and hurtful with the poodle and she didn't like what I said. I reported the incident to one of the assistant managers, his name is Scott and told him what took place. He was supposed to address the issue immediately, and apparently it didn't because I confronted him if he did so and said he had to attend to something else. I said what for now, the woman was not in plain view which was the middle grooming. This has happened to other customers besides one of our relatives and our dog that we took in some years back. This is why I would never take my dogs to Pet's Mart for grooming at the Victorville store in California. This is upsetting and if this continues, I will contact the "Animal Rights" and the media regarding this matter. Pet's Mart groomers should be sensitive and tender to any animal that is being under their care, especially for grooming. Thank you for your attention this matter. Sincerely, Pastor Davida Glenda Villalobos
My question is how do I obtain "shop now" credit for my American Airlines frequent flyer miles with Petsmart as a retail partner. There isn't a an "indicator" on the website. Thank you for your response. Linda Florey Linpsych@mac.com
I am a new pet trainer at Petsmart. At present i am ordering a new product we don,t sell for experimentation on my own dogs. The product is the Canny Collar out of England. The product was invented in 2006 for helpling dogs not pull on the lead. It is different then the gentle leader or halti we presently sell at our petsmart locations. In my opinion it looks like it will not put any undo facial pressure on dogs that use it for walking. AS soon as i attain one and research it furture i will send another opinion on this product. I see at this time no other large competitor of ours that carries it. It could be a money maker for Petsmart if we are the first to have it on our shelves. I feel this way simple because on the net. while tring to find this product i saw a growing interest on chat lines to attain one. Thank you Thomas J. Neneman Pet Training Instructor Omaha, Nebraska
I am a regular customer of Pet Smart and purchase large quantities (Quarterly) of dog food and treats for my pet. My last purchase was not too long ago which totaled over $500.00. Because I never have any intention of returning merchandise I do not retain the receipts. Two days ago my pet passed away. Now I have a lot of the merchandise remaining. I went to one of the stores and told them the situation, and the response I received was cold and callus. "No receipt all we can give is a store credit” I understand that policy however, the manner of deliverance was uncalled for. And I am sorry however; a store credit is useless to me when my best friend is gone. I would have to say that with a corporation of your size that circumstance of this nature can be circumvented. It makes me reconsider my choice of vendor when I do finally get another dog. torieh14@yahoo.com
