Approx. 2 months ago I purchased front struts for my 2001 Honda Accord and put them in the trunk. Tonight when I went to replace them I found one had been beat up pretty good(like someone took a hammer to it) and went back to the store where I purchased them and they did replace it. The other box with a strut had the word rear written on it in marker, the parts guy at the counter said that it was the right one. Went back home to install them and found that it really was a rear strut that was in the front box with rear written on it. Went back to the store and they will now exchange it as they said it was passed the cutoff return date. They should honor the exchange since they sold me the wrong part to begin with. I left the store and went across the street to a Auto Zone store and got the struts. Come to find out neither strut Pep Boys sold me was the right strut for my car. Now here I sit with 2 struts that don't work on my car and the store said that they can not do anything about. I have spent my last cent in a Pep Boys store fredcat9@hotmai.com

I have been a Pep Boy's Customer for approx. 43 years since I lived in Altadena, Ca with my wife then moved to San Jose, CA then to Fernley, Nevada where I have purchased thousands of dollars not only in service for my vehicles and my wife's vehicles as well as others in my family. Be it Services or Parts I always went to Pep Boys. So this morning Sunday June 27th when I walked into the Pep Boy's near the Meadowwood Mall here in Reno was supposed to be like all my other experiences a pleasant one. I was there to purchase a double pack of bulbs for my 2004 Chevy Silverado. Being as how I had a recent rebate check for 25.00 I intended to use it as many times before I always misplaced them and never cashed them in the past. The Check was refused by the Clerk, then the Presiding Store manager @ 8:25 am this morning. They even made a suggestion that I travel to a nearby Casino and cash the check and come back. They said the Bookkeeper in conjunction with the higher ups did not take rebate checks to pay for merchandise or service. How Ironic this is that a Pep Boy's Store will not accept a Pep Boy's Check at all for any reason. Sad to say as of today Pep Boy's is a chain of the past for me and my family. There are too many other places to take my vehicles to without the BS I endured at one of your chain stores. I will not recommend Pep Boys to anyone much less ever take my vehicles or shop for any merchandise whatsoever again at your Chain of stores. Three weeks ago/on a Saturday afternoon/I had my car towed into the Pep Boys Auto Center on Loucks Rd in York PA to have it serviced.The attendant didn't take any information from me/just the keys to the car/strange.The car didn't have a battery/so I was asked to bring one/strange again/a repair center not having an extra battery in their shop?I failed to drop off the battery because of my work schedule.Last Saturday/I drove to the Auto Center to find out the status of my car.It was not there.PB informed me the car had been towed. They seemed annoyed that I was inquiring about where it had been towed to and why it had been towed without my knowledge/when Pep Boys had in their possession the registration card,insurance information,they had at their disposal/my Pep Boys reward card w/info from the tow/plus/the towing company had my phone #.Now/because of their incompetence/I have to pay out of my pocket/$330.00 to get my vehicle back from the Recovery Center.All this/the store claims is my fault/after they found out how much it was going to cost to get the car back.Today/at the recovery center/guess what/there was a battery in my car,and it did not belong to me or the recovery center.Is this PB's new policy-swindling?posted/-00rating!
