TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN MY NAME IS BRENDA BLAIR ON 8/4/2012 AT ABOUT 3.45PM I WENT TO PARTY CITY AT LOCATION AT 223 W 34 ST WERE I WAS HIGHLY DISGRACE BY YOUR MANGEMENT TEAM AND SECURITY GUARD I WAS ACCUSED O SHOP LIFTING AFTER SPENDING $87.89 CENT IN PARTY GOODS I WAS BLOCK FROM GOING OUTSIDE I CALL THE POLICE AND THEY ASK THEM TO GET THE EMPLOYEE WHO ACCUSED ME THEY WHERE NO ONE CAME FORWARD.WELL HARD WORKING FEMALE WAS DISGRACE AND U GUYS WILL HEAR ROM MY LAWYER ITS NOT GOING DOWN LIKE THAT I DID RETURN MY PURCHASE RIGHT AWAY I WILL NEVER ENTER THAT STORE AGAIN AND I WILL LET EVERY ONE KNOWS ON FACE BOOK AND TWITTER ABOUT HOW U GUYS TREAT CUSTOMER YOUR SECURITY GUARD NEED TO KNOW ITS AGAINST THE LAW TO BLOCK THE DOOR ON CUSTOMER THAT CALL HOSTAGE AND THATS WHAT THEY DID ITS NOT OVER YET.

If u want to do sumthing call the main office everyday theyll get tried of hearing u n do sumthing.

The customer service at the Party City Store on Nimitz Hwy in Honolulu, HI is horrible. The manager would not allow us to exchange something a balloon that i had pre-paid for and did not get what i was expecting. I tried to compromise with her by asking her to discount another item and was told "No, I could not make the purchase". How ignorant is that?? Also, upon exit we were basically harrassed by an employee. We ended up running around hours before my daughter's graduation to find another local store that carried the same balloon that we specifically wanted. Never going back there again!!!

I want to start by saying that, I will never shop here again, (the store in BEDFORD PARK,IL 76th & cicero) first to start I went into the store to order some balloons for my daughter prom, and was told that ,i had to go to the back of the store to get them,when I get my balloons(mind you this was May 25Th 2012 its now July)and put them in the car on my way home one of the balloons burst, to my surprise there was this stuff inside the balloon that got all over my back seat,my windows,and the doors of my brand new car. I later found out the stuff is called High Float(which I never asked for,nor was it on my receipt)I returned back to the store,talked to the store manager who said he emailed corporate,and they would handle everything from there,well I have been calling back and forth to the store and talking to this same manager I even took the burst balloon pieces so he can see that it was "highfloat" in it,becuase at first he didnt seem to believe that the stuff was put in there on a walk in,but it was, so im saying all of this because here it is July 6th and I still havent heard anything, I would hate to have to sue ,but if I dont hear anything soon ,that is what I am going to have to do. I have a estimate for the damages,but Im sure I can get more for my trouble and distress.

I have heared so many stories about this place, that I never really went into the store, but I find myself with sum free time on my hands so I went in to there 14th st location and all the stores I heared were true. Same of the workers were following a young lady who was hafe dressed. When I did go to ask for help the guy so me and he ran the other way I didnt get a name but he had a pony tail. With a store full of worker one can help u. Thats some B.S. but I didnt let that get me down. Until I called the store about some balloons and the horrible respones I got from a young l lady name Jeniffer was the most disrespect I have ever got in my life. I will be telling friends employer family and will being put this all over the internet so others know to never shop or even waste there time walking to the store even. I have no choose but to give this store a one, when that is an over rated number in itself.

Party city is horrible iv contacted the coprate office a few times about the week of pay they owe me, cause I recently retired from there cause I couldn't take the awful managers there, they were all lazy sat in the back and fed there face their whole shift, and didn't give two fucks bout there workers, party city is very unprofessional in my state and in finding out all over the country!

I recently shopped in the store located in Hanover Park,IL Barrington Rd. I went in the store for just 2 balloons and the man that was helping me out was very rude. Not sure if it was because of my color, or if he's like that with everyone. He rolled his eyes, denied to help me, and didn't want to ring me up until I asked him "Is there a problem?" Then, he was left with no other choice than just continuing to ring me up, later there was a young tall girl I believe her name was Stephanie or something alike she was very helpful and friendly, she helped me by opening the door, since I was carrying a young boy in my arms. I asked who the man was, and she answered that it was her store manager. I asked for his name and his name was TOM. After this experience I shall never go back to that store, the way this manager treated me made me feel unwanted and very upset. All I can say Horrible Service.

i just saw a commercial from party city for cinco de mayo.i don't even know if that is spelled right but who cares.isn't that some kind of mexican holiday, what do we care, keep it in mexico.America waists over 300 billion$ a year on illegal immigrants.40% of all our prisons are filled with latinos.millions of American jobs lost to mexicans.burger king, kmart mart,ford,ect.all have made commercials with latinos.we are slowly losing America and nobody can see that.there are so many mexicans in America that party city and other companies had to make a commercial for them,sad. some of the comments i read up above does not say to many good things about party city. i would not shop there if everything was free. sorry, if i got alittle carried away with this but i'am sick of it and so are millions of Americans.

The way they do things is not cool.. We have to take people's info or we get written up/fired. 70 percent of your phone numbers we must take and 30 percent emails. Do I want to take people information?! NO. I would not give mine out just so we can spam you. People want to buy there stuff and get out, as do I any where I go. All they toys kids constantly put their mouths on, then put it down for the next kid to play with. Basically if the corporation is not satisfied with the amount of information I take from you, I get in trouble. Some of the people I work with are super great. Others, not so much at all. Now I ahve to drive allll the way to work to pick up my check, because it can't be delivered to my home? Btw.. The candy has mostly all been put in kids mouths or dropped on the floor. Thank God I have two jobs and love the other one. Good day to all :)

Do not work for this company. All they care about is dollars and cents. They run their salaried managers into the ground and work them like slaves. You are expected to work 70 hrs plus if your store is not up to their standards when they don't give you nearly enough payroll to get everyting done. The work load is RIDICULOUS!!!! The constant nit picking over every little thing is unbelieveable. The pinheads in the corp office sit on their butts all day and just think of more stupid crap for the managers to do. It is NUTS!! Run far and run fast.

I currently work at the party city in lanham Maryland in the woodmore town center and the manger "MARCUS SALIAS" is very rude and disrespectful. he has written me up for things that were unessacary,He assumed I was texting because my phone was laying on the ballon counter and wrote me up and all he has written me up for me been told the wrong work hours I was scheduled. He puts people on the schedule for 6am and is never on time constantly late which leads to employee waiting outside also he is always taking personal calls and comes and leave when he feels like it he sits in the office all day and complains about what needs to be done when he can chip in and help to I find this behavior To be very unprofessional and in my opioion I think he needs to be transferred because Iam not the only employee that has a problem with him. I came on here to complain about the store here in Salina, KS. However, after reading the previous posts I can see that PARTY CITY in general is a store that needs to be boycotted by consumers, let alone employees, and/or future employees. The manager here in Salina is also a horrible manager. I personally don't work there but I have a young adult in my home that does. The manager here works her employees often without lunches or breaks. Follows them to their vehicle after they worked their scheduled shift and harrassing them because they couldn't stay longer and cover her shift so she can go to Witchita and gamble not to mention texting employees and former employees before she tried to commit suicide because she lost all her money in Witchita. Employees, and parents of the youth working there have complained to district mangager but this manager is still working in the store. Its not right for employees to work their scheduled shift, not get a lunch or any breaks, then be TOLD to come back to work another shift. PARTY CITY BETTER DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS MANAGER AND THE DEALINGS THAT IS GOING ON IN THIS STORE...OR THEY MIGHT JUST GET A SURPRISE LAWSUIT!!!

I had such a bad experience today with Party City!!!!!!! It started at the stor in Algonquin, my twin 5 year old boys want an angry bird birthday and this store had a few items, The employee was great and called like 5 different stores for me to check if any of the other stores had invites. The last call was Melrose Park and the employee at the melrose Park store said she had 4 packages. So..... it was 10am and I have to be at work at 12 pm. Ok i think I can make it. I head to MelrosePark. When I get there the employee handed me the invites but they were not ANGRY BIRDS. The lady said she was sorry she mistaken them for Angry birds and they didnt have and angry birds invites. it is now 11:00. I have to get something else which they didnt have everything I needed I left the store and was late for work. This is messed up.

I currently work at a Party City and Im telling you don't there for your balloons. As much as you pay for your balloons and we are NOT allowed to curl the ribbons. We will be written up for doing that. What the heck. You pay $9.99 for a balloon and we can't curl the ribbon that takes a fraction of a second. Also the other day "big wigs" came into the store and never introduced themselves to me, my store manager never even brought them over to me to be introduced. When I spoke to my manager about this he said I should have introduced myself, all the while I was thinking HE should have done it himself. Anyway when asking why we don't get incentives he told me my incentive was a job there. So I asked what incentives the district manager gets and he said when sales are good gets gets his incentives. Well...I make the sales happen not the district manager. I was then told in a retail environment companies don't get incentives. I got to thinking about it even McDonalds gives incentives, a free meal while they are working. He then said that this is considered "my home" and I should have introduced myself to the "big wigs". I then said I don't feel at home (he thinks his poop don't stink, just as stuck up and uppedy as the "big wigs", it RETAIL for crying out loud, get over yourself). He was surprised and said maybe this is not the place for you. I said of course it isn't I can't stand working here but I don't have much choice. We basically agreed to disagree. I try to buy VERY little from there. They pride themselves of customer service, but how can they have that if they don't treat their employees right?

Last Friday I had a most unpleasant experiences in my life at one store, FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE.At the store 2001 Osceola Parkway Kissimmee, FL 34741 (407) 569-0633, I went to buy some helium balloons only had 4 items in total merchandise. first a long line. second look when looked at my receipt, buti was like it wont match the cashier inmedialty told me to go to the ballon area, I went to the area to fill the balloons and I leave the store, when I went to pay something again to a friend of mine i told her that it wasnt the correct change, I called immediately to the store to speak with the manager, his name is Marvin Williams, the man, if you can call it that, really rude with me and makes tons of excuses and refused to close the line to count the money, I arrives to the store and in front of me, mr.Williams counted the bank/ money and was accurate according to him, the man did nothing for me, were $ 20. dollars difference on my change, few minutes later came another employee Michelle did not give me her last name took charge of the situacion and Mr. williams desapaired, and the young man who came at that time was the one at the register his name is Marquis wasnt even asked about the situation. the Lady "michelle" said they would called as closed that night, today is Tuesday2/7/2012 and no call, This is really unacceptable situacion, none there was helpful treated me like I was dishonest, dishonest are employees like that one cashier Marquis, the employee and manager Michelle does not care nothing I said and I was expected to give me my money back but that I would give anything, it was not their problem, in other words I was lying to them, the store has security cameras why he didnt take time to look at them... I was in despair with this insulting careless situacion,,, my question where's my money???

I'm a costumer from miami kendall (London Square) and I'm taking my busy time of day to write this because nothing and I mean nothing has pissed me off more than what I saw when I was shopping there. I saw a manager (and I know he's a manager because I've been there plenty of times and noticed) walking around on his phone while meantime there was a long line with only one or two cashiers open. Is the manager's job really that cool? So he can just walk around texting? I asked the cashier at the front what his name was and they told me his name is dwayne. I've been to the party city on 88th street and 137 and they are amazing! Super friendly and caring the manager there is named felix and natalie. Outstanding costumer service!

GENERAL MANAGER CHRISTOPHER GONZALEZ IS A PERVERTED PIG WHOM I WITNESSED MAKING SEXUAL GESTURES TOWARDS MY 15 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE. PARTY CITY HURST, TEXAS 1323 WEST PIPELINE ROAD. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. OH AND ALSO, DITRICT MANAGER FOR THE DALLAS/FORT WORTH AREA PARTY CITY's, MIKE NIXON IS A YAHOO. DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS, IS APPARENTLY BUDDIES WITH ALL OF THE MANAGERS. ONE ASSISTANT MANAGER AT THE HURST STORE COLLEEN, TOLD ME THAT CALLING CORPORATE WAS A WASTE OF TIME BECAUSE MR. NIXON DOESNT SEE CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS AS WORTH HIS TIME, ALSO THAT HE PARTIES WITH THE GM CHRIS GONZALEZ. STAY AWAY FROM THIS TRASH BUCKET OF A COMPANY.

I placed an order online on Jan 11, 2012. My ship ID # was 2371851. Upon check out I was asked for my billing address which is a PO Box. Then I was asked to check a box if it was a PO Box which I then checked. At this point, there should have been something stating that Party City ships UPS and shipping may take longer to a PO box right there on that web page, but nothing stated these facts. When I was taken to the shipping page, it asked if I wanted to ship to my billing address or other address. Where I live we do not receive mail at our physical address, unless it is UPS or FedEx. Seeing that nowhere on the checkout form does it state it was being shipped UPS, I selected to ship to my billing address. At this point there was still nothing that said the order was being shipped UPS and that it would take longer. It said it would take 1-4 business days which was great at the time. The only reason I used Party City was for the fact that I would get my order in time. I placed my order and waited. I did receive an email stating my ship number and date it was shipped yet nowhere in the email did it state HOW it was shipped. When it had not arrived after 6 business days I called Party City on Friday, January 20, 2012. I was told after being shipped UPS it was then given over to USPS to deliver which takes longer and I would not have my package in time for my daughters 4th birthday party. The lady on the phone was very helpful and we were going to place the order again and have it shipped UPS overnight to an address in a city they deliver to on Saturdays. I was then told I have to pay an extra $35 to have this done. I asked to speak to the manager. I was transferred to Tim in Naperville, IL and when I explained how I felt I shouldn’t have to pay because I was not told on your checkout web page nor was it stated in the email I received letting me know it was shipped nor was I asked to enter a physical address due to the fact that it was being shipped UPS, the manager told me because I assumed how it was going to be shipped he can’t help me. He asked me “How did you think it was going to be shipped?” When I said I thought it was going to be shipped via US mail since the checkout webpage did not specify otherwise,he played on the fact that I made an “assumption” and said I should have called if I was confused. I stated I was not confused and why would I assume it was going to ship through any other company if it was not specified on the web page nor the shipping conformation email. He was relentless in his “assumption” argument and seeing that I am an adult and do not like playing childish games, I asked for a full refund. Page 1 First, I feel your website should be more specific and ask the customer for a physical address since you KNOW it will be shipped UPS and the customer does not know this information because it is not listed on the checkout web page at all. Second, my daughter has now been cheated out of an amazing 4th birthday party because of your manager, Tim in Naperville, IL and your company. I am sad and disgusted at this and I am shocked at the game the “manager” was trying to play with me. When speaking with Tim, he had a very arrogant tone with me and was extremely demeaning and rude. I have asked for a full refund due to the poor customer service by your employee and I feel you should make looking into this matter a high priority. In addition, I would like a full apology letter from the manager, Tim in Naperville, IL as well as to see the appropriate changes to the web site. This is absolutely disgusting and 100% unprofessional. I also want my order placed and shipped free of charge to my PO Box. I will not stop until something has been done about this.
