I put in my order online on October 20th 2012. I did not get a email with my confirmation code or shipping information. I proceeded to email them several times over the day and called the customer service number on the website, I was put on hold and after 10 minutes or so directed to a machine. I proceeded to leave a message with my phone number and email address. I have not got a call back and I know they got my order because it has came out of my checking account!! I will never order from this company again. They have a lack of customer service. It goes to show you that nobody takes pride in their work anymore...

I purhased a Psyco costume for my son on the 29th of October, when i caught the bus back home, he tried it on and found out it was too small. So I called Party City located in town center in Sacramento, and the manager told me that they hold customes until the end of the night, Iexplained I do not have a car and the bus has stopped running. So the manager told me that he woukd hold the costume in a bigger size for me until the next day October 30th. When my boyfriend went to pick it up,he was told that the manager decided to put the item back on the floor. we are trying to fund another costume. Why would you say you would help a single mom, then change your mind? I think this is wrong, I will still come to the store, because I enjoy your products, but your manager and her assistants were wrong.

I went to the HOLLOWEEN CITY store [ON RANDALL RD IN SOUTH ELGIN ,IL ] As I was shopping and looking around I asked for same help and sales associate was vere helpfull. As I as I walked up to the casher I saw that there was a line, as I was waiting I saw that the casher lady was useing a calculator to add up the items. As she was doing that she told the customer that the cash register malfunctoning so she needed to us the calculater. As I waited I saw that a associate came up and asked that a customer needed to talk to the store GM as she walked awaY,A

Your wyomissing locations are completely and utterly unprofessional and RUDE. Ive never in my life been so disrespectfully treated. I just got out of the hospital today due to being in due to my appendix rupturing and being really sick and almost dying. Due to my sudden hospital stay i was unable to return the costumes. Im not able to take my kids trick or treating due to this. the costumes are brand new with your 30 day return policy and im one day out of their 7 day returns for holiday policy. I was talked down to and the guy ed so absolutely no compassion but acted as if he was breaking some law by returning the items. i work in customer service and i know every company has rules but there are times you can make an exception. my daughters birthday is coming up and have always shopped at party city but i can guarantee you that you have lost my business for ever!!!!

The manager in your greece store was rude and thought he can yell at me when i tried to return an item. His cashier stood there popping her gum blowing huge ubblez wh Bubbles ..unprofessional tacky never going back to that rude lazy place .fire those people or send a secrete shopper.

I call the corporate office at 4:32 p.m. they put me on hold until the time came for them to close. The recording said my wait time was less than 1 minute. At 5:05 I was still holding. I was only checking on an on line order. My mistake I will never order from them again.

I work here now and it is unreal! The managers sit in the back and just watch the tv the whole time. On a RARE occasion can you get them out there to help you. And they have the rudest attitudes you can imagine. So arrogant... As if you are better than me. Honey please. You work as a manager at Party City... Im just here through the halloween season to make some extra cash for Christmas! Dont think you are better than me by any means. I save lives for a career, you, what is it that you do again??

i always buy our party supplies for home and church functions at party city. Last week my husband bought 3 pairs of white gloves for me for a function at our church. the three ladies we bought them for opened them and put them on and within 15 minutes the seams began coming out of the fingers of the gloves and we had to rush to try to sew them together for our presentation. When I went back to the store at 19739 hwy 59 in Humble, Texas to return them the manager would not give me my 42.16 back saying they had to be returned un opened. The only way I could have found out they were defective and such poor quality was to open them! I will never go into that store or any other Party City stores again. I can go to several other stores here in Houston to buy my party supplies. I am also passing along to my famiy and friends and church friends what poor service I received.

Nicole, manager of the 116th Street Marysville, WA store is amazing. She helped me with wedding invitations.....her patience is limitless, her knowledge much appreciated. Overall she was a delightful person to work with and you should be very proud of her representing your company.

I worked for Party Packagers & part of the management team for years,Loved it,we were like family,everyone played a great role,had terrific customer service knowledge and customers knew everyone of us by name.Then Party city bought us out,belittled us,wrote us up on numerous occasions,for things to this day we still dont understand:( I got called foul names by a new manager,so did other staff members and when we reported it they did nothing!!!!!!! 14 of us left within a few weeks,worse company ever.Now the staff turn over is horrible.I feel sorry for anyone that works at Party City,no respect,lack of appreciation and this place lowers your self esteem to a point you feel worthless.

Run now!!! Awful company!!!! DM treats his people like shit! All they care about is making money!! Do not work there!!!!!!! I am only staying because I need the money. I have wanted to walk out almost every day I have worked. RUN Away while you can!!

I have never worked for such a pathetic company in my life. Horrible rude General Manager who treats her employees like children that are being insolent. She is truly a nutcase. Everyine is quitting, but hey, it has nothing to do with HER. They change hours from when you clocked out when they make you stay for an end of shift meeting AFTER you clocked out. I stayed in and the next week, they took off the time. And they make hourly management work through all meal breaks, yet make them get off the clock just the same. COMPLETELY unorganized. I have lost all respect for this copmpany. They are despicable. And yes, I'm filing with the Labor board about my breaks and meetingsd that they won't pay for. Have fun answering that one you cheats. Hope you enjoyed ripping everyone off. , because it's going to cost you. By the time you answer the complaint, the season will be over. I just can't say enough bad things about this company. They are the WORST retail establishment, I have ever come across. It's just unbelieveable.

They are the worst job I ever hope to have. Very rude General mangaer who treats the one grerat manager like garbaqge. And the GM is so stupid, that she posts your schedule one day at a time, then whjen you leave that day, the next day when you weren't on the schedule you suddenly are and she accuses you of not showing up and threatens to right you up. This is the 3rd week of every day scheduling and it is bad. 4 of us are quitting as soon as we find another job and I just quit today and everyone is leaving. It gets one star because I can't go any lower!

On Sep 17 at 6:00 P.M your store manager was so rude and Lazy I walked out on a $100.00 sale and will never return. Being petty rude and lazy is not good business don't you want returning costumers instead of losing them! ;(

How sad that I have called many of your West Palm Beach, Royal Palm Beach, Palm Beach and Boca Raton stores, only to be told that they were NOT SENT ANY DECORATIONS FOR THE JEWISH HOLIDAY!!!!! What does that lead me to believe about your corporation's practices????!!!

Very Upset- To Whom This May Concern at Party City Corporation; I have been a loyal customer for years, frequenting the Sterling Hts., Michigan location. I host an annual New Years’ Eve party, and have hosted 3 graduation parties in the past 4 years. I feel you need to know of the poor customer service I received from one of your managers. I usually get my balloons and weights at the local dollar store, but I was looking for specific colors this time. On Saturday 9-8-12, I went to the Roseville, Michigan location to pick up supplies for a Central Michigan University graduation party. The theme colors were maroon and gold. A very pleasant employee helped me choose table clothes, and other items. We searched for balloons to match, but none were adequate. I asked if we could put a black balloon inside the maroon balloon to make the color deeper, and she stated it could be done for a cost of 19 cents extra per balloon. I was happy with that and wanted to place my order for the following Saturday. She stated she could not take any orders due to a helium shortage, and I would have to come back. On Saturday 9-15-12, I went back to the same store to purchase 16 maroon and 8 gold balloons. I spoke with the employee at the balloon section, she stated yes, she could put the black balloon inside the maroon balloon, but it would cost 39 cents extra per balloon. She was not a very pleasant person and since I was very busy that day, hosting a party for 110 people, I didn’t want to argue, and I said it was fine. Then she changed her mind and said she could not double-up the balloons. I asked why, and she said that it was against store policy. She had just told me she could do it for 39 cents more. The past week I was told it could be done for 19 cents. Obviously, it had been done before. The store manager came then, and stated she wanted to know the name of the employee that told me it could be done for 19 cents. I didn’t know her name, and that the other employee just told me it could be done for 39 cents. I did not understand why they were being so rigid and unyielding. It wasn’t brain surgery. It was blowing up a balloon. I was prepared to pay any amount without question. She was extremely unpleasant, and rude. The manager then stated that the balloons would be too difficult to tie, and they would not last as long. I told her it didn’t matter, I just wanted the balloons to match the theme. She said she wouldn’t do it. She didn’t even pretend to be civil or even apologize for the inconvenience. She was rude and disrespectful. I needed to get on with my errands, so I just picked the balloons that didn’t match, 16 maroon, and 8 gold, and I also purchased 8 balloon-weights. Finally a third employee asked if I wanted to “upgrade” the helium to make the balloons last longer. This was information the manager failed to give me. Of course I would have paid extra for the longer lasting helium. It was 100% obvious that the manager just did not want to take the extra time to double up 24 balloons. She didn’t want to be bothered with this task. I was told by 3 employees that it COULD be done, but she decided she didn’t want to. The past week I paid $45 for party supplies, and that day I paid almost $40 for items I was displeased with. When I got home, 3 of the 24 balloons had deflated in a matter of 35 minutes. I am very bitter about this. I am extremely dissastified. There are several party supply stores in my area, and I will never frequent Party City again. I will also make sure to use the social media such as twitter and facebook to share my terrible experience, and tell everyone not to frequent Party City.

I worked for Halloween City which is owned by Party City and I became a disgruntled employee because I found out from my GM who was a friend from last year, that I wasn't wanted by management for being associated with two other managers last year. I was also told I couldn't have the Executive Assistant position that I was more then qualified for because he was on thin ice for hiring me in the first place. So I sent a email to the DM with my thoughts about the situation, and I showed up to work the next day being told I couldn't work there anymore because they took my email as my resignation. I haven't got paid either, and I was terminated Wednesday of last week. Even tho they are telling me that I quit. Now no managers will talk to me at all. Can't find a corporate number or email to get in contact with someone who can help.

Monday, September 03, 2012 Labor Day I would like to relate an experience I had with a Party City Store Manager, in the Party City store in Harriman Commons, Monroe, New York State, on Monday, September 03, 2012, on Labor Day. I walked into the store a few moments before it closed at 06:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Saving Time. The Manager was right there, and it seemed to me - right from the start - that he was bothered by my visit. As if I was trespassing. I simply wanted to refill a helium balloon that was purchased in that exact same store a few months ago. This Manager gave me such a hard time about accomplishing this task. He was questioning me where I bought the balloon; how long ago I bought the balloon; he said that the balloon can't be refilled because it is an old balloon; and that Party City can't refill the balloon every single time. I told him that the balloon has been refilled - for free - several times before at this exact same store. He gave me such a hard time. Then he said that he can't refill the balloon unless he charges me. I replied, "So, charge me." He proceeded with the balloon to refill it with helium air, and, then, with an air of arrogance - and, somehow, trying to make me feel guilty - he filled the balloon for free. I didn't deserve this experience with this Manager. Is this the representation that Party City wants in its Store Managers?

Hi I am a resident in Queens. I live closer to the party city in Lake Success, NY but the morning of Aug. 19, Sunday around 9:45am I was forced to go to the party city in Bayside, NY because it opened earlier and I was on the clock for a surprise party. It was the biggest mistake of my life. First they were out of stock of all the birthday candles i needed and the cashier was very moody when I asked her if she can look for more, she came back and told me they weren't available. After that I told her i needed to exchange a bag of balloons I had for another one i was going to purchase and she said the Manager on Duty had to do it, which is fine. Unfortunately the MOD was the RUDEST person on earth to the point of almost making me cry. FIrst she insisted me on charging me $0.79 per balloon to inflate them when I had been told in the party city in Oceanside, NY that it was included if i brought the receipt with me to any party city. So when she charged me $24.70 for 30 balloons i told her in a matter of seconds that I just wanted the bag of 15 balloons, she said fine and went through with charging me. When I was waiting for my balloons the MOD comes in front of me still behind the register and throws a bag of balloons at me, I look at her and ask her what that is and she tells me it the bag I bought, I tell her that its the bag I didnt want and she said i had told her too late in the transaction and they had already opened the bag. I thought this response was outrageous, how can she have continued charging me when i told her i didnt want it, she couldnt have known that the other employee had already opened it and she couldve deleted the item while we were doing the transaction. After explaining to her that she couldnt do that to me, she snatched my debit card back and made a loud noise of frustration to return $2.99!!!!!! to my card. I never want to go back to this Party City and I want to find out who this NASTY person was. She ruined my whole day that morning and I will never forget this experience.
