on march 4, 2011 at 12:30 pm i sent my daughter and my cousin to your store at 1552 hempstead tpke, elmont ny. when they got there they ordered 2 medium pizza and chicken wings they used my credit card which for whatever reason was having problems of its own my daughter told the guy at the counter she would run across the street and go to the atm. he told them to leave the money they had just in case they did not come back before he closed (that was for the two pizzas) i told one of them to stay while the other went. my cousin went across the street to tell my daughter how much she needed when they got back to the store the store was closed (my cousin was given the money back before he left thank goodness) they got something from the other store as they were on their way home (they have to pass papa johns) another customer walked in the store and made a order (now he said was closed)wow, how rude i hear bbb and i can see it approaching at an amazing speed
we really like your pizza i was thinking you might try making a shimp pizza,as a kid growing up n.o.la. thay were great now live in md and work right across the street from one of pizza shop i would a shimp pizza again there really good you should try one
Every few days I receive EMails with special offers directing me to the Davenport Ia store on W.Locust St. I received one on 2/18 good thru 2/21. I called the store because I had trouble with their online ordering and the manager said that they had no such offer. I called the store on Brady St. and they knew nothing about it either. Beware of EMail offers from Papa John's because they probably don't exist.
Papa Johns may be known for good pizza but twice now my online order has been so screwed up!! The customer service in Muscle Shoals AL is horrible!!! The CEO should know how to operate the company!! Maybe if someone really cared they'd make sure this kind of service never happens to anyone!!!
Recently a new store opened in Libertyville,Il. After trying to figure out what to have for dinner I decided to give Papa Johns a try. It was one of the worse pizza I have ever had. No flavor and the crust was like card board. Spend less money on advertising and more time on the product. I will never order from Papa Johns again.
I wish that they would quit texting my phone every five minutes...I don't care their specials.
I find it extremely discontented that so many people have one seemingly AWFUL thing which is not that awful happen to them and they condemn an entire franchise. I work at papa john's and we always try to resolve any customer issues. Sometimes it isn't possible. Several things stated I will address: 1) Your order was placed online as carryout when you thought it was a delivery. A) It is not the policy to call people when they don't show up for there carryouts. Especially on busy nights time usually does not permit it as everyone is busy doing there job getting orders ready. How can you be upset at your own mistake? 2) Got the wrong order or wrong pizza. A) This happens sometimes no one is perfect. If it happens more then once or on a consistent basis I see a problem. But with new drivers being hired all the time mistakes happen no one is perfect! Same with getting the incorrect sauces or not getting your extra pizza/garlc cups. 3) Individual employee was rude, said something offensive at the store, etc. A) Papa johns stores nor corporate can control everything that comes out of an employees mouth. Though attitudes and moods should not be allowed to make for rude employees occasionally something slips out. If a specific person is rude on more then one occasion I see a problem. But if someone slips a curse word one time, or acts harsh one time I really don't see that as a reason to once again condemn an entire franchise. 4) I can't find the corporate offices # and no one will tell me how to contact them. A) No offense but I googled for it and found it in five seconds: Papa John's Pizza - Corporate Office 2002 Papa Johns Boulevard Louisville KY 40299 (502)261-7272 5) My card got charged twice and [someone] refused to credit my money back. A) I don't know the whole story on this but if that is true contact corporate [showed how easy this is to find] and tell them the specific person not listening to you. And don't blame the entire franchise. I am sure they would take care of it for you. 6) To be completely honest with the cost of gas today it is EXTREMELY disconcerting for someone to not tip the delivery driver. I personally never order pizza if i can't afford to tip. Even if its just a dollar or two. We pay to keep are cars running and for gas. The delivery fee we only see a part of and is NOT a tip for us it barely covers gas. That said the driver who asked for a tip then added one was obviously WRONG. A) The driver should have been fired and this treated as an isolated incident. Most of us drivers are not like this. None at my store are. We are upset when we drive a 10 mile round trip with no tip [happens to often] but would never steal from a customer if they did not add one. *** In closing I am not going to cover everything you all complained about but I have to assume the majority of you who say single isolated incidents have convinced you to never order from papa johns again apparently expect perfection at every turn and have NEVER worked in a retail or fast food environment. Things go wrong, STUFF happens. Overall at our store things do go wrong and we try to fix them. It doesn't always happen but we do our best. Try not to be so easily annoyed and put blame where blame should be. Usually not on the entire franchise. Peace
My husband has worked for this company for over a year and everytime we turn around they are raising delivery fee's for the customer but cutting pay for the drivers, he is making less now than when he started. So to all you customers that feel you are mistreated don't feel bad they don't appreciate their employees either. Honestly a pay decrease when they raise the charges for you. Everytime the gas goes up they cut the drivers pay. Wow.. I hope this company falls apart. Hopefully my husband can find employeement else where soon.
We called an order in on 2/6/11 @6:30pm, at the location off Lemmon/McKinney Ave. We were told the order would take one (1) hour and 15mins. Upon our arrival we observe the facility to be very dirty and unsanitary. The keyboards on all the registers were filled with flour. One of the representative had flour in both his ears, another continued you to put his fingers in his mouth. None of the staff, including the manager had head gear covering their hair. The area were the food was being prepared was very small, but contained 10 employees in the working area. I observe the manager enter the dough prep area and began making pizza without washing his hands. I also observed the representative who was taking orders, leave one area and go to the dough prep without washing his hands. The floors were very dirty, food was everywhere. The delivery guys were going through the pizza's that were in the holding area taking the labels off and taking them to deliver. We waited an additional hour and finally the representative gave us a pizza with someone else name on it. The pizza looked liked it was half bread sticks and half pepperoni pizza. We ordered a meat lovers and a supreme pizza, and was given a pepperoni with sausage and a supreme pizza. We had waited so long and decided to settle. This location is the worse I have ever seen....I will be notifying the health department. This pizza did not compare to CiCi's pizza and I consider it to be marginal pizza. This was definitely time and money waisted. A very disappointed customer, one that will not refer anyone to this location.
WE CALLED PAPA'S JOHN ON BAXTER AVE WHICH IS ABOUT 3 MILES FROM MY HOUSE AND THEY WOULDN'T DELEIVER TO MY HOUSE. I HAD ORDERED FROM THIS ONE BEFORE -- I AM VERY ANGRY ABOUT THIS
I live in oh.just want to tell you how dirty and the employees looked as tho they had worked on a farm. their clothes were so dirty.this is your store on north main street in Dayton Oh.Ilove pappa johns pizza.but want go back untill it is cleaned up. and the employees clean them selves up.
As it is, Papa John's pizza is mediocre at best. But there is NO EXCUSE for the eay the store in Tustin, CA off of Irvine Blvd and Newport is managed! I hesitantly went in last night to place an order for a pizza. I stood in the lobby for a minimum of 15 minutes, with no one at the register to attend me, while the phone rang THE ENTIRE TIME! After becoming extrememly aggitated, I asked another customer in the lobby if he had yet been helped. He explained that he had and that he was not sure what was going on (none of the cooks or drovers seeemed to be paying much attention to the guests or the incessant phone ringing. So after 15 minutes, a gentleman walked out from the back and took our order. There was no sense of 1) Customer Service or 2) Personal Pride. The man was rude and unapologetic. When I picked up my pizza 20 minutes later, I was disappointed to find that the box was cold. Cold, mediocre pizza after an experience like that is not good for your business. Something needs to be done about that situation. If not the flavor/quality (or lack thereof) of your food, the employees there will ensure loss of business. I can not express to you how utteryly disappointed I am with this.
In reading the posts, it appears to me that the vast majority of Papa John's SUCK!!!!!!!!. I too have had terrible service from a Popa Johns that's less than 5 miles from my house in Roseville California Last night was the final straw for me, and I will never order from Papa johns AGAIN. I ordered two large pizzas @ 7:00 pm on a Sunday and was told by the staff that my pizza would be about 45 minutes. Ok, possible that there were still some late Pro-Bowl pizza eaters out there, so 45 minutes seemed fair. One hour later, and I still hadn't received my freaking food, so I call and am then told by Chuck, that he only has one driver, and my pizza left @ 7:19 but his driver had three additional orders to drop off before me. I finally received my pizza, cold, stiff and generally not worth the $24.00 I spent, but as I was starving, had no choice. Does Papa Johns take their customer service and delivery training from the same people who handle and loose your bags when you fly? I guess Papa John is forgetting who made his company famous to begin with, and in case he's reading this..It's US you ass, the customer. Without your customers, you would have no 1972 rebuilt Camero, nor would you be able to to pay for your NFL ads, or participate in any advertising for the NFL. I can't believe that your "franchise" even got off the ground, much less have more than two stores. It appears to me Mr. Papa John that you care less about the people who got you to the point where you are, but are in fact more focused on the Money, which is typical. I LOATHE your establishment, and will spend as much time as I can spreading the word on how you conduct business.
In reading all of the above complaints, I guess I'm not the only one that has major complaints about Papa John's. Since you initiated the new computer ordering system, it's imposible to order anything from that stupid menu no matter what you do. So tonight was my last night in trying. I erased Papa John's from my web site and I'm going back to Alex Pizza in Biddeford. Yes it's a real pain because Alex doesn't deliver, but hey for the best pizza in Maine which is what Alex was voted for 5 straight years now, it's worth it. Papa John's is a real disgrace. It makes it impossible to order from that real dumb menu. The old one was easy, but this one I tell you whoever designed this menu should be immediately terminated from employment. You scored a one star and that's a gift by everyone above including me. I give you a no star actually, but they don't have a no star so I give you a real gift by awarding you a one star. Marcel A. I ordered a pizza prior to the playoff game last sunday. I asked for extra sauce along with 3 other toppings. Extra sauce is important to me because the regular does not have enough sauce to my liking. I picked it up & when I got home I found that not only did they not put extra sauce on the pizza (the person who took the order didn't even give the order with extra sauce to the cook, but in addition, the pizza was cold. I happened to ask if they'd been busy when I went into the store & they said no more than usual. I suspect they expected a large volume of orders due to playoff sunday so pre-made pizzas. Of course you can't add extra sauce when you do that. In amy event, I called to tell them & when I told the girl who answered I got no response. Lesson learned. Dominoes is trying to shore up their image & I definitely will give them a try for this sundays playoff games.
I have ordered three consecutive times and requested my pizza to be square cut. This is a option on online menu. I have yet to receive my pizza correct. The second time I was very upset and requested manager on phone. She acknowledge the mistake and offered to fix pizza. I replied, after waiting over an hour for pizza, I was not willing to wait any longer. Today, I requested Chicago cut and once again they managed to screw it up. Seams that a simple follow directions from this Orange, Texas pizza delivery, is a impossible task. Very discouraged pizza eater
I work as a huge marketing office, and big complex that does a lot of cross marketing with papa johns, located on the east side of Athens, GA. on barnetts road.. In return, our staff receives these "Complimentary Coupons." Signed by Julia Miller, Director of Operations Services. The coupons stats, "With your next purchase receive a FREE Medium One Topping Pizza! Carry Out Only." From what it stats, I should be able to buy some garlic, and get a free medium pizza, right? No. I asked to buy only a drink, and receive the medium pizza. They replied, "No you cant just buy a drink, you have to purchase a pizza." I have ordered just a drink with this coupon about a hundred times and never have had a problem until recently. If the coupon stats incorrectly, then it shouldnt be distributed to people.. Furthermore, it should stats, "buy a pizza, and get the next free." This is ridiculous, and just because of this, papa johns as lost my service, my families service, and the service of the greek. Not to mention, I will be discontinuing the cross marketing with our +750 residents. Our business is far more appreciated at domino's and pizza hut. thanks guys.
We are in the middle of a snow storm and we have over 6 inches and more on the way which is something we don't get it's been over 10 years since our last real snow and my son in law was told to come in to work or else. He doesn't have 4 wheel drive and the county is telling people to stay home off the roads . Is the dollar all that important that someone needs to put their self in danger for it?
I ORDERED 2 PIZZAS FOR MY BIRTHDAY JAN.3RD. 2 LARGE WITH EVERYTHING.SHE SAID OK. THEN SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS OUT OF 4 TOPPINGS,BUT SHE STILL CHARGED ME FOR 2 LARGE WITH EVERYTHING.I SHOULD GET SOME MONEY BACK BECAUSE, EVERYTHING WAS NOT ON MY PIZZAS I ORDERED. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. GREG THORNBURY
