My family and I (party of 4) ate at the Outback on Merchant Drive in Knoxville,TN. We had the worst dining experience I've ever had. We were told we would have a 30-40 minute wait. We waited over an hour. We ordered an appetizer and it never came (except on the bill). My husband's steak was so tough and dry it could not be cut. He told our server and was brought another steak that was excellent. The manager came out and was very apologetic. She took part of the price of the steak off the bill, but when the bill came, the appetizer we didn't get was on the bill. We had to complain again and again the manager came out and the appetizer was taken off our bill. Our server seemed preoccupied with the table behind us, to whom our appetizer was served. We didn't get refills on our drinks either. We are not complainers, so it was embarrassing for us to have to do this. It has to be bad for us to say anything. Otherwise our meals were very good, but all these mistakes overshadowed our experience.

My experience at the Martinsburg, WV location was highly disappointing. My company and I were seated at a dirty booth by the door. When I asked if we could sit at one of the other open booths, of which there were many, the hostess said she was saving them in case larger parties came in. During our meal, we watched as all of the empty booths were taken by parties of two. Also, upon being seated, I asked if she could have someone clean the booth. She told me I should ask my server. When I sat, the seat was wet as though someone had spilled a drink. This all happened on a Wednesday around 5pm. The restaurant was not crowded and there was not a wait. When I asked the hostess if a manager was available she told me to call the following day. Due to the horrible customer service I already received, I do not feel comfortable contacting the restaurant and am therefore sending this email to express my dissatisfaction.

If I could rate this steak house any lower, I would ! I went to a Outback in Warren Michigan, because I had not been there in a while, and I use to really love outback, but we were disappointed in the portions that were served to us, my steak was half the size they use to serve, but the price was just as high, for that small steak, and the quality was very poor. Wont be going there at all, there are to many places to choose from who want our business !

leo, I worked at outback.. im just a server, however, I do know that our prime rib is all cooked early in the day (THAT SAME DAY), thats why when we run out, we are out, its based on availability… so im just guessing, but maybe you are ordering late at night, say 9:30 10:30 on a weekend, and it could possibly be that its the last of the bunch… im sorry about your experience.. but i do know its not an old piece…

You all are unbelievable. I don't think many of you realize that all this information does not get back to Outback Steakhouse or its individual stores. If you really want something to come from your comments, call the stores yourself and let them hear your complaints. I promise you that 98% of the store managers in the company want your to have a great experience. Many of the complaints that you all have could be explained in 30 seconds with a simple phone call or speaking to someone while you're in the store. For instance, the person with the complaint that the server said the steak could only be cooked medium. You ordered the filet and shrimp, which is 5 oz of "roasted filet" sliced and served with grilled shrimp. The roasted filet is, as the name suggests, "slow roasted" so it is already cooked to a certain temperature. This is not the only steak you can order. If you didn't like it, you could have asked to speak to someone and I guarantee they would not have made you pay for it. Believe it or not, it is not easy to train employees to be the best server you have ever had, it does take time. Sometimes you are going to get somebody who is new and is not as well versed as somebody who has been doing it for a long time. Perhaps someone doesn't remember a time when Outback's salads were made without carrots and this one person handled the situation poorly and maybe it doesn't reflect the staff as a whole. It's amazing how some people can talk about how Outback was always their favorite restaurant, yet one bad experience or one mistake means it's not how it used to be. I also like the people who make comments about how there are more bad comments on here than good. People who have a bad experience are way more likely to get online and fill out a comment than someone who has a good experience. As for you suckers who think Outback, Olive Garden, Red Lobster or any other restaurant to employ any 3rd party to offer any kind of certificates or offers, you're being had. To think that anyone would use a big company's name in order to try and promote their own product or to just drive traffic to a website...the nerve! Even on this page there's an ad for a site that offers Outback coupons, completely not affiliated with Outback Steakhouse. I find it hard to sympathize with anyone who feels scammed because they tried to get something free and in order to do so they have to buy something or in the case of the free steak dinner promotion (legit Outback promotion), they have to visit the restaurant on certain days. It's a FREE STEAK! I am no longer employed by Outback, but you people never cease to amaze me. Nobody is trying to scam you, nobody is trying to make you have a bad experience, it's actually quite the opposite. Many, many hours and dollars are put into training to attempt to make it a great dining experience for every single person that walks through the doors. Nobody is perfect and just like with any business, not every time is it going to be perfect. Ignorance is not bliss, get your questions or concerns answered before babbling on some website that nobody from the company even knows exists. I don't care if you all ever go back to Outback or not, I just don't want you to raise a second generation of complainers that are worse than you are.

I live in Texas, I always order to go from the location in Sugar Land, for the 3rd time I order a prime rib 16oz, and it seems that the chef dosen't consider take out important, they send me an old piece of meat and when I call them to advise them the manger became defensive and informed me that they don't do that, but they have done that to me 3 times. Why do you have to cheat people, we are paying a lot of money to get the quality food that the customer deserves. To bad that this location is destroying outbacks reputation. They don't care about the customer.

What happened to the Novi, MI Outback? The proprieter who had been there for years is no longer there and it seems things are changing for the worse quickly. We are very frequent diners there and have noticed the quality of the food going down at a very fast pace. The manager that was there for years is no longer visible. There seems to be several different "managers" on different days and the whole place is going down in quality. When I asked the wait staff where she has been, they say she's now cooking, leading me to think that she was a far better manager than a cook. The shrimp has always been one of my favorites but the last time there we received the smallest shrimp I've ever been served at a decent restaurant. When the manager there that night came to our table to check on our experience, we questioned why the change in size of shrimp and he told us they were no longer able to get the larger shrimp from their suppliers. I just don't know if we'll go back there again. We may give it one more try but then again there are too many restaurants looking for business to continue to get bad quality food.

My husband and I went to the outback in Exton pa on 11/11/11-after both of us working a 50-60 hour work week. We waited for 50 minuts to be seated..Our blooming onion came first, we didn't have a fork & knapkin when the food came. Then after waiting another 25 minutes, both of our steaks were over done. The manager took off on our bill only the steaks and how sorry he was. This was the second time this has happen. What a wast of our time and money once again. This place has lost us as customers, but our dog ate good that night. I'll never spent one more dime. And when we get a gift card, it'll be sent back. Never again.Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

i was recently in a out back steak house in pinole ca, and the alledged owner (a homosexual asian male )walked around with an atittude the time ...passing our table not saying anything just looking. then our waiter a younger white guy whom had the worst attitude ever proceeded to serve us. after i got my food deliverd by the "owner" i proceed to ask for the manager he said i am the manager! in a rude voice and manner i then said can i have corporates number he said . . . im the owner so it really dosent matter ! who u call ! i was shoked . . . . & left with out eating ! and food on the table ! omg ill nver be back there !!!! EVER

Outback - Hermitage 5582 Old Hickory Blvd. Hermitage, TN 37076 Feedback I have been posting: I asked for no carrots in my salad, waitress said they could "pick them out" or use romaine and i asked for iceberg like the old salads since romaine tastes bitter to me. waitress said they couldnt do that and i said they always do and she said ill get it like i always do (in a rude way). I GOT romaine lettuce and not iceberg. By this time I wasnt sure if I should eat my salad since the waitress was acting weird. Then we asked for tigardill and waitress said they was out.. I asked for a comment card when we got our check and none could be found but a manager came to the table and told us that even if I filled one out the complaint would come back to him. I explained to him that I simply "dont like carrots and simply wanted an outback house salad like they used to make and got romaine when I asked for iceberg, and WHAT IF I was allergic to carrots, would "picking them out" have sufficed?". Who wants someone picking through their salad like that? I went on about the tigardill as he started eyeballing our check.. I picked up our change and let him know that we wasnt there for a free meal and he can use the knowledge that I just gave him as he sees fit, that we was there to enjoy a meal with service that is better than fast food! We put our change in our pocket and left.. I have went to this outback MANY times over the years and have never been treated like this before, the manager even informed me that iceberg would have been fine and he has no idea why she did that.. I also told the manager that I didnt want to send my salad back for the romaine, if the service was that bad in front- I dare wonder whats going on in back.. Just sayin... Again- we didnt go in there for a free meal, we went in there because (up until now) Outback has always been my fav place for a good meal.. From now on however- Outbacks service at this location has turned into nothing better than fastfood and the staff at this location has completely went from a more mature longterm friendly staff to a younger uncaring insincere group based off of this visit. I live here in Hermitage and will now go to O'Charlies instead when we want a sit down meal. I am more mad that the manager was more worried about taking our bill than he was listening to the complaint! So here we are- I didnt let him take our bill- now what? You have my complaint, all I ask is that you fix the problem for those that will come in after us,,, because this is NOT what this location used to be at all!

#4726 Outback in Warrenton, Va My husband and I had drinks at this restaurant this week. Our bartender Mara was nothing but rude to me. My husband is very good looking so ofcourse she was sweet to him. She practically flirted with him the entire time obviously trying to get him to order anything expensive.Would you believe this nasty woman had the nerve to slip her number to him while I was in the bathroom?! As soon as we got the check we pulled aside a blond-headed waitress with a ponytail and asked her about the bartender. She told us that this Mara woman had been with this store since it openend and that she is a bitch to everyone unless your a well endowed man. We immediately left and we won't be coming back. I can't believe this company would employ trash like that.

We went to the Outback at 10749 Narcoossee Rd, Orlando, FL on 30 October 2011 and spent $96.42. Worst meal I have ever had period. The table was dirty when we sat down. The Bloomin' Onion was raw and overspiced. We ordered lamb with mint jelly, 2 prime ribs and a wedge salad with steak. The waitress came back and said they were out of prime rib. She suggested ribeyes instead. We should have left and gone elsewhere at that point. We didn't. When the food came the lamb and two ribeyes were raw and the steak with the wedge salad was shoe leather. The waitress informed us that they were out of mint jelly. She should have told us that before she brought it out from the kitchen. Something else would have been ordered. All meats were ordered to be medium (pink in the middle). The waitress took the two ribeyes first. Then the manager came by as I was cutting my lamb and he said oh, that's raw. He took the other two meals back to the kitchen. He brought all four meals back and said they had replaced everything. They had not. I got my lamb back and it was so smokey from the wood fire it was inedible. The women's bathroom was disgusting. They gave us 2 free deserts and served us with four fithy spoons stuck together with someone elses food. UGH. Sooooooooooo disappointed. We won't be going back soon. Too many negatives.

I wanted to let you know how much I appreciated my recent free steak dinner at St. Augustine Outback. It was cooked to perfection and the salad was excellent. The young man who served me was very attentive. It was a great experience.

I was lied to on Facebook! They told me if I commented saying" I love this place!" I would get two free meals. Then afterwords they told me they ran out of coupons. I will never eat there again, also I will make it my point in life to make sure no one else does! Thanks

We had dinner at the Route 31 location this evening in Clay, New York. We were seated at our table at about 6 p.m. only to be advised by our server that we would not be able to have a baked or sweet potato because of the volume of potatoes sold thus far! They were not available because they had to bake more! I find this hard to understand but ordered rice instead. Our salads were delivered before we had silverware and this we asked for twice before we finally got it. when our food was delivered, it was only lukewarm so we had to hail down the manager to take it back to the kitchen. Never saw our server until he realized we were disatisfied. I will think twice about going back to Outback as this was a very bad experience for us. I do hope that the management will make an effort to oversee what is going on in the kitchen and that on a Saturday evening,at 6 p.m. they will not be able to serve a very popular side like a baked potato.

I don't want to be the stereotypical disgruntle ex-employee but I can tell you that they run a shady oligarchy in their kitchen. Being that there is no drug screening, a large portion; let's say 98% of the staff are substance abusers. I won't state the store location but managers have nose candy problems. Several servers have a large pill diet. Bus boys are all jacked up on steriods and the rest of the staff are clearly high as a kite just to tolerate the high stress level in there. There's loads of favoritism and managers tend to take power to the head and speak to employees in condescending ways whether they're actually cursing you out or attempting to make you feel inferior. I would list more issues but I need the steam for my corporate call.

WOW is all I can say about howmany complaint I have viewed regarding OUtBack disappointed that this Corporation has so little regard for there reputation !!! I too have had two bad experinces with the take out side of OutBack restuarant !!! they never repeat back your order without asking ! the staff @ OutBack get orders wrong because they lack hospitality ! its like a puppy mill @ Out Back the kind of training they get

Where should I start, the good or the worst? My family dines on somewhat of a regular basis at the Outback on Bay Area in Webster,TX. The staff is always friendly, service us great, and the food is delicious. I an sad to say that i had the worst expirience this time around. Usually we are pleasantly greated at the door, but this time the young lady who was holding the door was too busy texting to even say hello. We were seated near the hostess stand. That tall blonde girl has got the nastiest mouth I have ever seen on a child. I cannot believe the type of people they have working there right now. The F word what thrown around so freely that we cut our evening short. I can guarantee that we will not be dining at that location for quite some time.

just had dinner at the outback, thought i would give them a another try, what a mistake, this was at the clermont, fl outback location. the filet was not a top grade tasted like sirloin, tough, mash potatoes were cold, bread was 2nd rate, buter tasted like anything but butter, had choclate brownie and ice cream for derssert, did not taste like chocalate, chemical taste, i'm done with outback! v

My wife and I dined at the Mission Valley San Diego location last night and the manager and her assistant were fighting with a customer because they did not want to give her the phone number for the corporate office. The customer was an older woman who looked like she had status and they told her something was wrong with her because she was critical of them not giving the number. They treated her horribly, and many other customers were around who had their meals disturbed by this. We should have asked to have our meal comp'd, and we will go to the Clairmont location next time as we were not at all impressed with this location. We got a chicken quesadilla appetizer to share before our steak and the chicken was essentially missing in action. the new york steak did not taste like a new york steak either - some cut that was more of a softer consistency which neither my wife nor I like. I notice that most of the reviews for Outback are poor - too bad Sizzlers are mostly gone - they treated people much better.
