My concern is over the cleanliness at any Outback. I consently see a disgusting practice, very disgusting! When they clean the tables, they use the same rag to clean the benches and chairs and then go to snother table with the same rag. The same rag that jusy cleaned a seat! Do you know where that person sat last? Do you know for a fact that that person hasn't urinated in their pants, even just a little. Reason I am saying this, I was in a restaurant once where at the next table there were four generations of woman, great grandma had an accident while in the booth as did her baby great granddaughter! Grandma took hold of her mother and granddaughter took her young daughter and all four went to the bathroom. The grandmother came out and said to the men at the table that great grandma had an accident and can not come back to the table, the entire group left. The busboy came to clean the table and of course used the same rag to clean the urinated seat and then went to the next table and cleaned it with the urinated rag!!!!! So this is why I write you and to add to the disgust the the same rag was used to clean the salt and pepper shakers and the flip menu on the table tonight when husband and I were in the Outback in Ny State off of 84, not sure exactly the location aswe were just travelling through.

When I ordered a 6 oz. filet, medium, @ $21.95 (or close), I expected exactly what I had paid for. What arrived at my table, however, was a 4 oz, 1/2" thick, dry and overcooked, low-to-medium grade piece of meat. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly, and my wife's order of lobster tails was satisfactory. But the steak was a disgrace, not only to the Outback, but to the beef industry, and entire state of Texas as well. You should be ashamed to put such a meal before a customer.

the outback in destin fl. has horrible servers the manager acts like she doesnt know what to do someone from headquarters needs to help this place. they are going to be in BIG trouble when our summer vacationers come the cooks need a lesson on how to cook. wonder about the owners are they out on there boat? do they care what kind of restaurant they have? we should make owners work and eat at there own restaurants you think it would be different? you have been warned.

I will never eat at a Outback again. I am 59 years of age and I look like I am 59 years of age. However, I had to show My I.D. before they would serve me a draft beer with my meal. I guess some folks might take this as a complement, but I take it as an insult! This was at the Centerville,OHIO location. Stay away, stay away, stay away!

I am a member of Outback Rewards. My husband and I eat at Outback at least three times a week. We eat at Bonefish and Carabbas all of the time. I turned in 4,000 points for a $10 gift certificate about three weeks ago and still have not received it in my email. I used to get my certificate the next day after I turned it in. What is the problem??? Please advise. Nanaraphael@aol.com

The outback in clermont is horrible their portions are so small steak like rubber theyo use the economy to the problem which is impossible that place is always crowded. When people see how bad they have gotten it will have less and less people. They should close. Really horrible food and high prices we will never go to another outback again. You people should be ashamed of yourselves.

Worst experience with a manager I have ever had. A total attitude and very dismissive of any concerns we had.

Outback in Southaven Mississippi has been a problem just about since it opened. Besides the typical downward slide in quality of food and service since its opening, the 'overcharge' policy has apparently taken affect. Now, there are multiple Outbacks in the Memphis, TN, area but of all of them, the one in Southaven Mississippi seems to be the only one, thus far, that has this problem. They bring your order, typically messed up, then when the bill comes, all kinds of extra charges start appearing. Today was the last straw for us, I personally do not go to any of the Outbacks due to dubious cuts of meat and quality concerns, but, my wife was still a fan. Being that it was mothers day, I kept my mouth shut and watched. Of course the food was served, mostly wrong. Usually the way their scam works is they will bring you something that is intentionally wrong. Then, when the bill arrives, it looks more like a legal document for purchasing a home than a simple dinner bill. All kinds of 'additions' and 'comps' by the end of it, you can't make heads or tails of the bill. By the way, apparently, Outbacks idea of a 'comp' (Short for COMPENSATE, look it up Outback employess) is to simply knock off a few dollars of a meal. In the rest of the business world, it means COMPENSATE, AKA, refund the amount of x or y, not knock off 4 bucks of an incorrect item then plead that it 'must be done' this way because thats the only way the computer will do it. In our case, the excuse was 'we thought she ordered x, but we brought her y'. Im sorry, but first of all, it should be written down. If you wrote it down wrong and serve me a 9oz portion instead of a 6, then its on you, sorry, thats the way it works. Im not going to carry a freggin scale to every Outback I visit in order to validate my order and defend myself against the staff turned collection agency, once the scam starts. Anyway, the rest of the scam is pretty much a bait and switch. I have pretty much ignored the issue in past as we have always been able to argue our way out of the extra charges and arrive at an agreeable bill. I watch other tables around us doing the same thing, so my assumption up till now has been that Outback (Shockingly) is not able to recruit and retain staff that can perform simple math with out the aid of a computer. Alas, I am sure that is still the case, however, afte today, I believe I have enough evidence to file a real complaint with local authorities that there is a concerted effort to over charge customers. Think about it, an extra 5 bucks a head over 1000 customers is an extra 5 large in revenue, all they have to do is hope either the customer doesn't catch it or tires of arguing and just pays and leaves. Again, I am not implying, at this point, ALL Outbacks engage in this tactic, but today's incident coupled with the preceeding 2 or 3 visits to the same location confirms, the Outback in Southaven Mississippi is dirty. Do yourself a favor, buy your food local and cook it yourself. Take the extra cash, put it in a savings account for retirement or a 'rainy day'. God knows the sun will still rise on America if the Outback Steakhouse closes up and rightfully so. You can't go on stealing from people...or can you?

Outback store #4459 had the worst service even. The food arrived cold. Sat @ a table of 2 next to a table of 7 who received their food beverages salads and refills before we received our food. OUTBACK I AM NOT IMPRESSED. The service and the atmosphere at your restaurants has declined greatly. Train more on customer service and care don't assume your establishment is the only place to eat steak. Texas Roadhouse is hot on your a**!!!

Only one problem the closest Outback is 2.5 hours away in Kona on the Big Island so I have been mulling the idea of what I conceptulize to be an Outback Outstation; a small probably not even a sit down take it with you operation. Product could be transported from the base establishment and depend on demand. just a thought.

I was employed under your company for a year and a half during this time I was manipulated, harassed, and disrespected. In my opinion all of these things branch from poor management. Outback Steakhouse in Auburn Massachusetts has been least professional and least enjoyable employment I have ever experienced. First there is no management to wait staff or host confidentiality. If you tell a manager a personal problem about twenty minutes later the entire Outback staff will know. This is a major issue. Out of the five jobs I have experienced I have never seen such poor management. Second I was accused of physically pushing another host. When they looked into this accusation they found it to be false. This is slander. The recordings were reviewed and the person making these false accusations was permitted to work there. He continued to make false accusations against others and even to customers while working there. One night he told a customer that I was a horrible person to work with and that night the customers made a complaint about me based on these lies. He eventually quit but the management should have taken charge in this situation but they just sat back and allowed such behavior to occur in their restaurant. I quit Outback Steakhouse in March because I could no longer work at a place with such poor management. I am writing to you, corporate because I believe something should be done about this. For anyone else to have this happen to them would be a shame and I have learned a lot after working for such a horrible restaurant.

I am a long time patron of the Palmdale California Outback. The staff is one of the best in the Antelope Valley however I have seen a downslide in the quality and quantity of your food over the past year. Perhaps your food suppliers and preparers need some looking into. The Outback Rewards Program is a joke. There are very few rewards and having to wait two days for a reward which is only valid for three weeks places unfair conditions on your customers. You should make this program more attractive or give gift cards to the members for their balances and send the Rewards Program to the trash bin. Thanks for listening.

This is really sad to read. Like many of you here, I really thought that it was maybe just a select few problems but it appears that the conduct is out of control. I just got off the phone with the corporation and only get voice mail. Nice way to do business? As we say in the old school, "Open for complements, Close for complaints!" I am over 40 years old and have over 20 years of bartending, managing and owning restaurants, and working for resort hotels. All I was seeking is a simple waiting job or for that matter even a host job would be fine if the wage was high enough to support my life style. ( I am a widow and have downsize and move back to the beach where I hailed from) The Outback in question every week submits ads for front end help meaning server(s), buser(s) etc and for the time being until a bartending job would open up I would be more then happy to entertain these other job(s). Well after 30 days, no call back, I see the ad again and this time I email to some craigslist address and get back some general statement that we have filled the job (but you are advertising for help) and we only contact applicants that we feel will meet our goals. Well ladies and gentlemen that is appearing maybe to be age discrimination since I have all the skills needed to perform these task(s) on a daily bases and have very good reference from prior employers. So not sure where to take this but I do know calling them and requesting a fax number is not going to help and you will get that wonderful new tool of corporate industry. Voice Mail. It is really sad to see a chain group fall to people that do not seem to care about customer service and just being kind! When you are kind nothing can ever be said like, you are rude, you are showing no respect, because being kind is the best and encompasses all of good things. Stay casual to all the folks to have spoken out here. lift8 out

When a nice busboy came to the bar aerea at your lint on Delray beach location he cleaned The table were no one was sitting and a blooming union plate was empty All of a sudden a men came over stating that this was His table he must have been gob Me for at least 10 minutes the manager came over Who new nothing about the fact and started telling Us that we had to leave Ian a regular eat probably about 70 times a year At your Boca facility I know how to behave and did not appreciate the managers way if handling the situation I did tell her that I would write this letter to headquarters I always enjoy dunneng at your facility A happy customer and a very bad manager

My husband and I just moved to Missouri from New Mexico and the quality of the outback here versus there is tremendous. The food is terrible, the wood fire grill is terrible, the service is terrible. I don't even know where to begin. The Outback in Independence, MO was the worst I've ever seen. Our first visit, my husband found a thick curly hair in his shrimp sauce, his steak was overdone...I ordered the No Rules Pasta and I guess over here they put Parmesan cheese over the top of it and their's tastes sour and ruins the whole dish, plus the cheese turned hard and crusty over the top, it just doesn't go with that meal. Another thing I noticed is how they push the wood fire grill on everybody, they make all of their food over the wood fire grill and you have to beg literally to have it made classic. (Even when you beg you may not get it that way) We ordered the salmon classic and it came back black like it had been set on fire. The shrimp on my pasta came back chewy and black, the manager did not even come to our table to apologize! The server just took the meals off the ticket price and left it at that. Outback quality has gone out the window ever since they brought the wood fire grill into the picture, in my opinion. And with lower quality food comes lower quality customer service and that's where they stand.

I will never return even if I do get some free dinner out of this

We go to the Outback in Glen Mills once a week. Normally the food is good, the weight staff are excellent and the staff at the podium are fantastic. I called to book a dinner for a larger party and got the owner on the phone. He was arrogant and rude. Told me the best he could do was put me on a call ahead list because he's not holding a table for me on Saturday night when he could give it to someone else. I go to that restauant religiously every week and wouldn't expect that kind of treatment from the owner.

I was at the Elk Grove, California Outback restaurant last night for my mom's birthday dinner. With my excitement on having the Outback's Signature Rack of Lamb, I was very upset when I received my plate of lamb. I cannot said I am Outback's "regular" customer. However, my family was here for special occasions throughout the year. I have been Outback customer for more than 12 years. Every time I was there, I ordered the rack of lamb. I have to say it has been best compared to other places I had. So I would not forget how it tastes and its portion. I even recommended it to my friends who want to experience the taste of lamb for the first time. Last night, the rack of lamb ONLY came in 6 ribs. That was NOT what I expected to see. I talked the supervisor in-charged (forgot her name), and she told me that was size the restaurant received. I was not happy with that answer, but since it was my mom's birthday. I didn’t want to make a scene, so I took it anyway. I understand the economic is not good for everyone, especially for restaurants. I noticed your price had went up, but that is oaky. I was willing to pay more, but I didn't expect the portion was went down. On top of the portion of the lamb, my dad ordered a 8oz prime rib, and it was like a 6oz portion. So I did some researches online. I found the online encyclopedia Wiki's answer on how many ribs in a rack of lamb. Please see the answer and the link. Therefore, what I had last night only 1/2 of the rack, not a full rack. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_many_ribs_in_a_rack_of_lamb Answer: Improve Lamb carcasses usually have either 13 or 14 thoracic vertebrae and a corresponding number of pairs of ribs. The structure of the ribcage is rather variable in lamb carcasses. Carcasses have been found with as few as 12 ribs on one side, and left and right sides of the ribcage may differ in their number of ribs. In lambs, rib length is determined mainly by age while the plane of nutrition determines rib thickness. I hope Outback will consider not taking advantage on its customers' loyalty and cheating on food portions.

MY SON IS BLIND, AND HE'S WORKED AT OUTBACK IN PRATTVILLE ALA,WRAPPING SILVERWARE SINCE THE STORE OPENED, 6 1/2 YRS, HE NO LONGER HAS A JOB, BECAUSE THEY SAID THAT JOB WAS CREATED FOR HIM WHEN HE STARTED, WHICH ISN'T TRUE,, THE MANAGER THAT HIRED HIM IS NO LONGER THERE, IT'S A NEW MANGER, NAME BRENT,,WHOM NO ONE LIKES!!!!!! HE DOESN'T LIKE MY SON, FOR WHATEVER REASON,,I THINK THEY DID MY SON WRONG, IT'S NOT EASY FINDING A JOB FOR SOMEONE BLIND.. SO ME AND MY FAMILY WILL NEVER EAT AT OUTBACK AGAIN, I'M TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS AS WELL, WE'LL SUPPORT LONGHORN NOW..

For my wife's birthday (2 April) I thought I would take her out for a good steak and lobster dinner at your Stockbridge, Georgia Outback restaurant, what a disappointment! The steak looked like it had been prepared several days before and just warmed up. It was dry and tough. The lobster was no better it was so small you could only get a couple of bites out of it--and the sad part about the experience--we both ordered the same steak and lobster meal and they were both just as bad. I won't ever go back to Outback again!!!!
