I would like to Let you know the situation didn't get any be better I am very offended and am currently considering taking it to the newspaper and TV . My husband had left to get money to pay our room renewal with because we found out our card wasn't working , this same guy who has been harrassing me ,got even worse I was in bed with my illness I had a sever migraine and he had knocked on my door and he said who he was I told him please don't knock loudly I have a migraine my husband has gone to get our payment our card wasn't working , it had been scratched. So he closes the door then he calls my room ever 3-5 min at which point I was near tears my head throbbing explaining I told you he went to get the payment we had intended to stay another week.. Finally I'm laying there in the dark room in the bed and I hear the door open I thought it was my husband and here he was standing there I asked him to please leave when he didn't I told him get out now ,,I had a donot disurb sign on my door this is very unacceptable . I'm very offended I kinda felt violated because I sleep in the nude due to getting to hot worsens my migraines . My hubby when he came I told him and he was upset he said we would not be renewing our room we would move my sister who came to help us because I was sick got so upset cause he continued to call . She finally had enough and cursed him out .
I recently (April 1,2011) tried to stay at Motel 6 in North Charleston South Carolina. I had made reservaions the day before via a phone conversation from my home. When I arrived around 12:50pm on the April 1,2011 I was told my room wasn't ready yet. I went accross parking lot and ate at Waffle House, came back 30 minuts later and still no room. I waited another 30 minutes and asked again. No room ready once again and this time I was told they have no checkin time need to come back later. I was extremely tired and needed sleep. I told the receptionist to cancel my room and I left and went to my daughters house and stayed with my family. I returned home to find out that they billed me anyway!! Now they owe me money!! It was DISGUSTING the way they treated me.Confirmaton number was 61875. Terrible Service. Disgusting Employees. Illiterate Employees. I would NOT Recomend this MOTEL 6...Motel 6 Charleston North, Sc #642 2551 Ashley Phosphate Rd I-26 At Ashley Phosphate Rd, Exit #209 North Charleston, SC, 29418 Phone: (843) 572-6590 FAX: (843) 572-9026 ....to ANYONE.!! The Place and Employees were Disgusting. Now how long will it take to get my money back?? I was told that I could Cancel any time Before 6pm on April 1,2011. Have you ever heard of a Motel with No Check In Time??? I intend to pass on this information to EVERYONE I KNOW!!!!
Hello, My name is Alisha Piet and I stayed in one of your locations last night, room 206 on April 1,2011. It seemed ok at the time until myself and my boyfriend Jonathan Brewer awoke with bed bugs crawling on us as well in the bed and the bathroom. I captured one in a cup as well as a baby one which was strawberry red. I spoke with the receptionist and manager Shamika Smith. The location was Richmond Hill, Georgia. (912)756-3543. The manager and and receptionist were very helpful. What was alarming is the manager did say the matress was new.Why was it alarming? Well, because if they were in the bathroom the floor and mattress then there has been a problem and it has spread. The manager Mrs. Smith did say she would reportit but I am making sure becauase this could cause you more problems as well as a shut down francise. Hopefully this will be take care of. Do know there were signs of bites and blood spots where we laid on the sheets from being bitten. My boyfriend has been offered a refund. Its just so much more than a refund. Hopefully once again you will have this taken care of. My info is 104 elm street statesboro, Georgia 30458. (912)536-1289. Sincerly, Alisha Piet
EXTREMELY BAD SERVICE! My mother passed away on March 15th, my husband called the Motel 6 on IH10 near Fiesta Texas DIRECTLY to make reservations for our family so we could attend the funeral. He reserved 3 rooms all next to one another! The guy on the phone my husband they could hold the rooms with no credit card until 6:00pm on Friday the 18th. When we arrived at 1:00pm the lady at the front desk told us she couldn't find any reservations even with the confirmation numbers we were given. She had me call the 800 number to check the confirmation numbers with them - I was told those confirmation numbers were for the Motel 6 in Lewisville, Texas up near Dallas. They told me they would report the problem to a supervisor and "talk" to the reservation agent that screwed everything up! That did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for me - since we then has no where to freshen up before the viewing! There were NO rooms any where in San Antonio because of spring break! What a nightmare, we ended up having to sleep on the floor at a family member's home & they certainly were NOT expecting visitors. The front desk lady kept "implying" that the people at the 800 number were to blame - that they screwed up, however we kept telling her we call this particular MOTEL 6 directly - she refused to believe us - until my son went out - got his father's cellphone - found the number and called it as he walked back into the lobby as the same lady answered his call! These people are unprofessional and certainly can NOT be trusted! I can't imagine what kind of problem we would have had if we had given them a credit card number! I probably would still be fighting to get my money back for this! An apology at this point seems very inadequate for the the situation and the problems this Motel caused us.
Me and my fiance stayed at the Duluth, MN location late in Feb. The rates were low so we certainly weren't expecting the Taj Mahal, but we were only looking for a place to sleep. It was definitely a dump, but again the rates were really low. You certainly get what you pay for...we stepped out for lunch Saturday, only to come back and find our Ipod had been stolen. Staff had just been in b/c they left a card and the towels were changed, the Ipod was sitting on the dresser when we left and gone when we returned. The guy who was in our room was in the hallway and acting super strange when we walked up to our door. I get it, who brings anything of value to a place like that, but seriously, it did not dawn on us even once that we would need to pack up all our belongings in fear they might get stolen just to step out for an hour for lunch. Needless to say, a police report was done, we checked out ASAP and found a much better place for not much more. I will never stay at another Motel 6. I recently sent a letter to corporate so based on some of these other posts, I'm curious as to whether they will even respond.
I stayed at the motel 6 in downtown Atlanta. The only reason I give it 2 strs is because I had a nice clean room. The first night of my stay, I pushed on the hallway door to open it and the side glass panel shattered and cut me on my fingers, leg and foot. I ran into the lobby bleeding everywhere and the manager just stood there and looked at me. I was trying to clean up the bllod but it was pouring faster than I could clean it. Finally the clerk called me an ambulance while the manager just stared at me. The manager would not fill out an accident report. He left the motel and did not return for my entire 4 night stay. Noone asked me was I alright or was ther anything they could do for me. I asked the night manager for help to get to the pharmacy for my prescriptions from the ER. I told him I flew in and had no transportation. I told him I was in pain and needed my medicine. He said sorry we dont offer concierge service. The staff and the motel suck. Will never stay in another one again.
If you could give any place less than a o is the mangement at the motel6 Orange next to the I5 freeway in orange That is the place i will never ever stay long as i live in california again and no where in the united states i've got service before at other location texas, arizona, nevada. But i guess it don't matter 1 guest or 10 they will keep doing the same thing. MOTEL6 IS A RIPE OFF THAT SAYING THEY WILL LEAVE THE LIGHT ON FOR YOU. I KNOW JUST WHAT THAT MEANS
we've stayed at motel 6 a few different times, one time was this last month and the whole room was frozen when asked to get our money back we were told no but could be put in another room which also the heater didn't work and their was no water also frozen. Another time my husband was bit by a spider that was in our bed, which then required medical attention. We called corp and were told we would recieve a call within 30 day.....no phone call.
Had a great time in Motel 6 in Baton Rouge, the room was a bit cold but ok. Had no hassle in buyibg an eight ball of "la blanca" directly in the lobby from 2 latinos downstairs which also offered me to fetch hookers, underage ninphos of both sexes or a host of transvestives. I checked and went for the hoes that came with a "winter package" fare of an offer including anal dildo-play and multiple orgasms. We had the eight ball, a bottle of scotch and a pitcher of margarita that was sent up in the room kindly by the office staff after a call to room service. Unfortunately one of the girls around 4:30 AM threw up onto the couch and so I had to call the night shift guys. One came up after a while and entered the room smoking a pot joint but didn't offer any, he only wiped the puke off the couch with a room towel and left. I then had to put the girl into the shower and she got scorched by the water which was indeed too hot (bathroom was moldy but ok, I mean after all the snorting, sex and scotch I didn't care much). Mostly ok so, what more can one pretend from a budget motel in the US?
I had to stay at the motel 6 in joplin, mo. It was in the middle of febuary which I understand in sw Missouri is acold time of the year. However the few days i was in Joplin it was pushing 80. When I called down to the front desk about the heat in the room I was told the air conditioners were off for the winter and there was nothing they could do. Add that to the front desk personnels rude behavior (snapping at me to wait my turn and complaining that I was inconveniencing them with a request for a room change) and I would say it was a very bad experience overall. Perhaps if the motel wishes its guests to use a window for relief from the heat, they should have windows that open more than an inch. has this motel forgotten what it means to be in the service industry?
I have stayed at Motel6 in Fort Worth, Hurst, Dallas, and Denton, and was always treated courteously by the staff. The rooms have always been clean, and if there's a smell of cigarettes in a non-smoking room, that's something I attribute to a guest, not the Motel. Most of these motels look like there has been a real effort to improve them with newer sinks and toilets, new tile in the bathrooms, new carpet, new bedspreads and newly painted walls, and improved A/C. Problems I've encountered are usually from guests who are less respectful of others, and they're the ones who make one's stay unpleasant. I've always found Motel6 to be a good place to stay for the price. I think some people might expect them to have the same quality as Omni, Hyatt or a Hilton, and that's simply not going to be the case. I admit that sometimes they're situated in less desirable locations, but I already know that before I get there because I've checked them out online. These are family focused, less expensive accommodations, and they're going to attract certain people who we wouldn't necessarily choose as our neighbors. Since it's only for a night or two, I can live with it, because Motel6 is not the problem.
After years of Hiltons and the like, I made reservations at the Motel 6 because circumstances forced me to bring my dog, a 120 pound St. Bernard, on a trip home to Burlington, Canada. Motel 6 had no weight restrictions and was the only hotel to welcome our dog. I have never felt so at home. I was going through a difficult period - my husband's hospitalization and eventual death the same week - and the staff made me feel like family, always welcoming us at our arrival and saying goodbye when we left the building. One clerk, in particular, was incredibly solicitous and helped me immensely through this time, with her kind words and gestures, even getting me a room on the ground floor so that doggie trips outside in the early morning weren't so hazardous. I also found the hotel amazingly clean, and the grounds well kept. I was so pleased that when I go back to Canada, I'll never stay anywhere else.
The reason imma give a poor rating is because they denied me stay after i made my reservations in advance and now they wont even tell me what happened!! Ive been to the same Motel 6 Raynor Ave n Baltimore plenty of times and never been Denied! I will never ever stay at another Motel 6 again for now on ill continue to due Grown Business with Hotels ONLY!
Horrible! Motel on W Bell Rd in Phoenix, Arizona. Treated unwell and thrown in jail I believe because management wanted to ransack my room. I am out $300 or more because I paid in advance and after all these years, I still want my money back. I eventually went back to California and had a nervous breakdown that tore the rest of my life apart. Sorry I didn't get a lawyer. Motel 6 and the police department would STILL be paying me.
I check into a motel 6, located in Portland,Oregon at 3104 Powell Blvd in the evening of 5 December 2010. The first unit I was assigned with, had no heat with the temps outside approximately 35/40 degrees. I went back to the checkin office and they gave me another room. The second room also had a problem with the heater and the assistant manager came to check on the functions of the heater. It came on, but the assistant manager also said do not set the thermostat above 68 degrees or it will shut down, which it did. If you care for the operators to determine your room tempature, go here. If you want to set your own room tempature, stay someplace other than here. Also a $2.95 charge to hook the internet, which they don't say on the big outside sign. The motel clerk was very nice and polite.
Staying at Motel 6 in charleston, WV. Scheduled to be there a week, sent there to work. First night in morning no hot water, mind you I work construction. Called hotel still no hot water. Tempeture 10 degrees. They were giving vouchers to some of the guys. I want my money back to relocate to another hotel. Take the hold off my credit card. Will never stay again.
if i could put less than one star i would. ive had the worst experience ever here at this motel. the hotel manager literally tried to make me have intercourse with me to get my things out of my motel room. he locked me in the room and wouldnt let me touch the phone for anything. i wouldnt advise ANYONE to stay in the motel 6 off of i-10 in orange.
11-23-2010 Stayed 1 night in Albuquerque N.M.#0741 room was refurbished but the maids had not cleaned the bamboo flooring with anything in a long time it left black marks on the sheets after a shower I wiped the floor to the bed so my feet would still be clean. I took pics on cell phone to save. And left the washcloth thatwas black for wiping the floor. When we left I called the front desk and told themabout the floors and they were paying housekeeping to clean the rooms and they weren't doing a good job. Well when we got home I realized my make-up bag had been left on the heater my husband set it down to open the door and instead picked up the ice chest near the door. I called but guess what they knew nothing about, but why should they I had called them in that they didn't do there job. MY MISTAKE Would I stay there again NONONO! ANd yes I stay at motel6 at least 60 days a year
I had a HORRIBLE experience at your Paso Robles Motel 6 # 1372! motel with my TV stand being moved, thought my spouse was doing it, happened three times and I also had a door that I was CERTAIN I had closed hard enough to actually close it but upon my return would find it still slightly ajar, I kept thinking I was being paranoid. My door was already impossible to close. I had odd feelings through the entire visit. No extra blankets on site? No clocks? Ok, small things, I get it. BUT THEN when I went to check out and I made sure that since the TV stand had been pulled out, I would pull it out to check if I dropped anything there, I pulled it and found two HORRIBLE young girl touting PORN MAGAZINES dated 2006!(Both boasted UNDER AGE on the headlines). I picked them up and a MAINTENENCE TICKET fell out of them. Your front desk person Mona gave me $100.00 back and expressed understanding for the situation. (I took photos of the front of the magazines before turning them to Mona) and found the maintenance ticket again as I turned in the rental car. While I never asked for any refund, I guess it was a nice gesture, but I am so disgusted by the thought of what MAY have happened in my room. I repeatedly felt this or that was moved or out of place but dismissed each as "imagination" on my part! The entire situation is deplorable. If nothing has been thoroughly inspected since 2008 then there is a problem and the fact that a maintenance ticket was in the books says it IS an employee. The TV stand being moved says the person is actively doing this! You have a big problem there and I am freaked out by the possibilities that exist as to what the person has done and is still DOING! Inspect your rooms more often. Have doors that CLOSE. Check the people you hire for past issues and criminal records. This is highly unacceptable. I can't tell you how creeped out I am about this. It makes your mind run all kinds of scenarios through it which is not good in a situation like THIS! I think I should talk to someone BEYOND the staff at this location. I feel like the situation has been swept under the rug. I was very thorough regarding this and I took a photo of the magazine covers for record. When I spoke to Mona after this she said the magazines were "dated 2010" when I said No, they were 2006, and I looked again at the photo to confirm, I was absolutely correct, I would hope this was more important than THAT and she should be FAR more thorough! (above statement was sent to the actual location as well as the corporate headquarters and nothing has been heard from them!)
We stayed at the Motel 6 in Calumet Park Illinois simply because they were recommended to us as a newly renovated motel. We got there and everything did look new and fresh. When housekeeping came to clean our room the next morning, they left a wash cloth in the room that had blood on it. I took a picture of this wash cloth and am going to mail a copy of the picture to corporate offices as well. It didn't matter at that point about anything else. The chain has raised their prices, this particular one did not serve any kind of breakfast whatsoever, only 24 hour coffee.
