i received a gift from somebody that they ordered online. i am unable to return it for something else. i have to ship back the item and they credit the person who bought it account! plus they charge you almost $10.00 to do so. i wouldn't mind having to send it back if i could get store credit back for it. how am i supposed to return something that somebody got me as a gift if their card is just going to be credited?? awful experience! they should mention it on the website that if something is a gift the recipient won't be able to exchange it for something else. i'm sure that would stop a lot of people for ordering gifts online. i know i will never buy anything from them again in store or online. i am now stuck with something that i don't want!! get with the times and allow us to return in stores like every other retailer out there!!!!
i WORK for the Michael Kors store. We get free clothes for the new collection about every 6 weeks. At the beginning of the Holiday collection I bought a pair of shoes to wear to work. They were put away in the hold closet, and then a new guy took them out at the end of the day and put them in the stock room because he still didn't know who worked there and what not. They ended up getting sold, and I had already purchased them. My boss right away called a store in a different state and told them to ship me the shoes overnight. ITS BEEN A GODDAMN MONTH. My manager calls them every other day and they keep saying the shoes are shipping. My boss will give me a refund but wtf, I want my freakin' shoes.
It's such a shame that this company has the worst customer service ever!! I recently purchased a pair of Michael Kors Boots in Las Vegas (I live in a different) city. The zipper broke and I have tried and tried to reach their customer service line and just constantly get a recording that they are not available. I have now sent 5 emails and requested help and nothing!!!! This is so disappoingting I saved a lot of money to buy these boots and now have nothing to show for my hard earned money. This company could care less about their customers and I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and everyone else I can possibly think of. They do not have high end merchandise, it's cheap and not well made! Do not buy Michael Kors, they won't replace you item if it falls apart...better off going to Walmart, at least they exchange a broken item for you!!!
I stopped into the Micheal Kors outlet in Atlantic City this past weekend. I bought a dress that did not fit. When I tried to return it the very next day, I was told that I can only get a store credit! What? I thought that this was an upscale store. Don't go there, especially during this holiday season! There were no visible signs anywhere, but the receipt states that a refund will not be issued for items purchased and returned between Nov. 20th and Jan. 5th. I was only able to receive a store credit that must be used at one of their outlets. If I had known that, I would have tried the over-priced, defected dress on! I'm a size 6 and the medium dress was too tight. I have NEVER seen a receipt that specifies that you cannot get your money back during the holiday season. I suppose if I came in on November 19th I would have been able to get refunded for this item. I called the outlet mall headquarters about this, but I have not received a return call. When necessary, I've returned items from other outlets in Atlantic City (DKNY, Kenneth Cole, Reebok, etc., and have had no problems receiving a refund. Unfortunately, I have to use this $99.00 credit, but after that, I will never go to a Michael Kors store or outlet again!
I normally purchase nothing but Coach bags and was talked into buying a MK bag by my little sister in January of 2011. Overall, I liked the bag....it did seem to be loosing a bit of color on the handle, but nothing that couldn't be overlooked. In August of 2011, I notice a defect in a concealed corner of my bag and called the store I purchased it from to find out the next steps as the bag came with a 1 year warranty against defect. I took the bag into the store and was told by a very well dressed young adult that because I carried the bag daily (mind you, there was not a SPOT on the bag, which was trimmed in WHITE, other than the concealed defect) this was considered wear and tear. I asked to speak to the manager who repeated the associate's verdict. I then asked to speak with a District Manager, and was informed that information couldn't be given out, but the manager would take pictures of the "normal wear and tear" and forward those on to the DM who would call me when she got back from vacation. Guess what....no call. I have decided that the lack of integrity in the Micheal Kors organization will prevent my bag from being fixed or replaced as my warranty states it will and I simply don't have the time or the energy to deal with companies that don't do what they say they will do, so I will chalk this up to a $300 lesson learned, never purchase anything from Michael Kors again and go back to my beloved Coach bags, which whom I have never had any issues getting COMPLETE and TOTAL satisfaction when dealing with the customer service piece.
I am posting because I am at a standstill with trying to find a Michael Kors leather jacket that was out in mid 2010......I just don't want to believe that the jacket no longer exists for sale.....if anyone reads this and can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it....It is a leather motorcycle womens jacket with two front pockets and hasthe Michael Kors emblem on the zipper. I just have to say. I was at a really nice restaurant In october this year 2011. I was having dinner with my friend. There were two woman having dinner and one of them was so rude because she could not sit by the window. She call over one of the waitress and said to her do you know Michael Kor she said I don't know him I have heard of him the women point her finger at the waitress and saids THAT IS MY SON DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN AGIAN. Meaning she should be able to sit by the window when she was already told that the table was reserved. She leave her waiter a 2 dollar tip and he didn't even do anything. My point is I have bought Michael Kor stuff before but how his mother treated the waitress and the waiter I will never buy Michael Kor again. Michael Kor really should have a talk with his mother and tell her to stop throwing his name around as if that means anything. It will just make people upset. Just a note that I wasn't the only one she upset that night there were quit a few people that could not believe what she did I just thought Michael Kor should know.
i recently visited the store in tannersville and i must say, some of them are a little over joyous and others are really great. i went to buy a bag called the quilted hamilton and i notice the tag was ripped off. i think this is the same situation as one of the reviews about except my experience was rather different. it came in the colors of a vanilla, black and a caramel chestnut brown. i asked for a fresh one because im really picky about the ones on display and they agreed to find me one. the pricing on the table said 299 but when i arrived how it had a ticket of 219. i was a little confused and went back to the store the next day where a young gentlman had assisted me with the issue. he apologized and stated that there was a mix up in pricing because the tickets used for that bag were the ones used for the cluthes next to them (which were also 219) and he quickly overided the pricing and gave me that portion of my money back. i must say that despite this issue, they were all great. i think some people do not understand the way a business runs and that prices go up and prices go down. they do that with clothes and shoes especially. i say if you're not happy with the product then why return for more anyways.
Best solution to the problesm it to report these big companies to the BBB I did have an issue with MK and they gave me my money back after my bag was exchanged twice and it fell apart in less than a month.Log on to the BBB and it you will see how to file a complaint.
I received a pair on Black suede moccasin I wore them for about a 2 weeks while I was in Florida. I wore them through the chicage ohare airport, while I was on my next flight I noticed the left shoe had a tear on the side. So When I finally reached California I called Michael Kors corporate office and explained everything, and since we do not have a MK store here in Modesto,CA. The person told me I had to speak with a NAKIMA SMITH @ext.5037. Well that hasnt gone well after leaving numerous phone messages, and no reply. I decided to get on here. It has been 2 weeks and I leave a message every other day for this person. This leaves me little faith on Michael Kor products and service.
wow after reading all the reviews I think I should tell you about our situation. Briefly-we bought at the Westfield Shopping Center Tukwila (Seattle)WA MK Store my daughter a purse in August for her Sept bday-it is the black mettalic signature tote- it has already started to wear where the straps rub at the top. We were ok to exchange but there wasnt anything in there we wanted-asked for a gift card so we could order-no you have to exchange only what we have in stock. This girl was not even out of her teens & said she was the Asst manager. We asked for corporate # she gave us some bogus #-here is the corporate # for Yakeema Smith-to whom I have had to leave a voice message ( imagine that)-212-201-8100. Everyone should call and complain!!!!
I have just had the WORST customer service experience at the Michael Kors Store in the Domain, Austin Texas. I took my watch to get re-sized, the attendant who resized it banged it so hard it shattered the face. on returning to watch to me, i had a static so the wathed dropped on the glass counter no more than 6inches and she insisted thats what shattered the face and told me she cannot do anything about it. gave me a service center that i should send my watch to!!! THAT is how customers is treated??? it will cost me to get the watch fixed, because MICHAEL KORS store decided i did not by the watch in that shop??? i bought that watch last November, less than a year and the watch is damaged in your store by your staff and the cost and responsibility is mine to get it fixed??? I am sooooo angry right now! i jus got in from the stores and will have to do without a wath for the next six weeks...is that high end SERVICE ??? whats the point supporting this brand??? really is that the best policy MK have in place?? The store agent informed me they would be short a watch if they replaced mine...so technically as a customer spending nearly $300 on a watch values nothing. I will have to incur the cost to ship it to this Metro Service Center, not have a watch for 6 weeks ..what a slap in my face for spending my money with Michael Kors!!! today is Saturday 24th September. this incedent occurred within the last 1 and half hours.
OMG, I just got the Jet Set Monogrammed satchel in black. Used it twice. When I went to put it away I noticed a very faint fade look on the back of bag. What should I due?
Went to the outlet in Tannersvile PA (Crossings Premium Outlet) Stopped by Michael kors to look for a purse. The display sign said "$299" for a purse I was interested in. There were 3 colors, chestnut, black and whiteish-beige with 3 purses each with a stand right on the side that said "$299" I looked at every purse and noticed that the price tag were all ripped off (the bottom part where the price was only) I asked for a new purse of it which she was not too happy about because "all the purses on display are new and perfectly fine" I still insisted and asked for a new one. I came home and took the purse out of the bag and saw the price tag. "$218"...................... I went back and asked for my money back because I was not happy about being ripped off.. They said it's store policy for store credit only... I AM NEVER NEVER NEVER EVERRRR shopping or buying a single thing named "MICHAEL KORS, MK" ... I have posted pictures with evidence to show all my facebook friends and also told all my family and friends about my experience. They're spreading the words too, and I will make sure that none of my friends or family ever gets ripped off like this... From my mistake they will learn that Michael Kors does not care about customers or the satisfaction of a customer but MONEY only. This is not how you do business. I have never felt so upset and scammed before. EVER. Michael Kors is not top quality, they're SHIT
Bought one of their bag at their outlet in DE. the bag fell apart in appx.23 days after using it may 3 time. Called customer servic eshe gave me the round. I ended up going to antoher outlet in NY. exchange the bag I wanted to to just get another but my husband said get the same one just to see if it is was just that one I got; but after using 2 time after the exchange it too fell apart; contact C/s no one responded to my email. So I forwrd a complaint to the BBB it has a week no one has respond to my complaint to date. This I know I will never buy anything **MICHEAL KORS** EVER again.
I have a Micahel Kors tote that was just purchased for me as a gift. It has a oil stain on the leather that can't be removed . I called Michael Kors to find out what could be done about it . Someone called me back from 201-453-5094 no name given just ask that I call back. When I tried to callback the phone just rang and rang makes me wonder if it is a valid #. What do you think guys ? WELL I will see what happens next.
Jeez, could a company make it any harder to love their products. I'm a huge fan and he seems lovely but if he doesn't have the brains to hire better customer care I'm losing respect fast. I'm 62 years old and I don't usually waste my time on stuff like this but I've spent so much time trying to find Michael Kors Glimmer Body Creme that now I'm so irritated that I need to vent. I went to all of the normal stores, they were out. No one said it was discontinued and believe me, I asked. Finally, I go online. Big friggin mistake. I kept getting looped back to the Michael Kors site where it told me a hundred times "this product is unavailable". If it's unavailable, why do I keep getting sent back there??? I call the 800 number and keep getting referred to more 800 numbers. OK, now, I'm mad. I finally go on the MK site and zing off an email telling them how frustrated and irritated I am and I get this ridiculous dripping, condescending email from some yahoo at Nieman Marcus telling me that it was so popular that they can't get it anymore. What??. Nieman Marcus??? What the heck does Nieman Marcus know about this product. Why was I directed to them. Michael Kors...SHAME ON YOU!! LOTS OF LOYAL FANS OUT HERE AND WE GET TREATED LIKE THIS. TIME TO FIRE AND REORGANIZE. THE WEBSITE AND APPARENTLY THE STORES SUCK. SHAME ON YOU. GET A GRIP ON THE BUSINESS THAT CARRIES YOUR NAME. Probably the last I will hear about this but I do feel a little better. WAY too much time wasted on this. And again, SHAME ON YOU MICHAEL KORS, SHAME ON YOU AND THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE RUNNING YOUR BUSINESS.

my gold metalic purse i purchase from Micheal Kors Toronto Yorkdale mall after 3 to 4 times useing the purse the purse fell apart the Metalic faded, so I took the purse back to yorkdale store. The manager name Lori refused to return the purse. Sorry there is nothing she can do for me. I ask to speak to District manager she refused to give information. I kept going back to the store for some help, she then contact her manager and they both refused to give me back a return. the upper manager name Ellen. I am still battling for my refund. The customer service is very poor, Micheal Kors doesn't stand behind his product. The message he sending Micheal Kors product is not of Quality and no one care. I have contact all customer service in Canada and USA no is helping. I would not shop at this company again and no should patronize.
There is definitely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AT THE OAKRIDGE MALL IN VANCOUVER BC! The girls are rude and don't smile. It's all about what ur wearing when u walk into the store. They say nothing. Not even a hello.
