Cambridge, MN location While shopping I saw a young lady in a wheelchair trying to shop. She was pushing her chair, and a shopping cart around the store. We bumped into eachother a few times and I also noticed a man hovering in the vicinity of her as well. This didn't look right so I kept an eye on her and him, and he must have walked past her and peering into her cart and purse over 20 times in a 1 hr time frame. She noticed him following her and talked to a manager. He denied having security on site, she insisted that was who was following her. She pointed him out and I knew he was lying to her. She ended up calling the police since management said it wasn't security, and she felt threatened. When they got there, this young lady explained what was going on, and the manager asked for her to be removed and never come back. The "non" security man flat out lied to the cop too, he said he wasn't following her, but I witnessed it myself! I for one am disgusted at how this young lady was treated, I left my cart there and walked out. I will tell everyone I can about this story and to not shop at this location. I'm even thinking of calling my local news station. Poor poor judgment in management at that store. You've just lost two, mine, and Im sure the young lady's business.
We spent thousands of dollars for IKO roofing materials at the Menards in Homewood IL. Needless to say, we have been told by roofers in our area that the shingles were a part of an IKO bad run, The roof is less than 7 yrs old and the leaking have destroyed lighting and much of the ceiling in our home. IKO need information that only Menards can provide so that we can move forward on this claim. We like so many others have tried to contact Menards Corportae for assistance, and it has been impossible. I have never experienced a company as large as this one with no contact information, so that the customers that keep them in business can speak to a person when needed.
Return/Exchange policy
We bought a brand new GE washer/dryer combination from the store in Sturtevant, WI in October, brought it home and did not hook it up right away as we were deer hunting a lot. In fact, most of November was spent out of town. When we did hook it up, the washing machine did not work. All it did was fill up and empty out. I turned the machine over, opened it up and discovered that the machine was missing the belt. Called GE and they said they would have to set up an appointment to have a service repairman come out. Called GE again and they suggested we go to Menard's and see if they could provide a belt for the machine. We went back to Menard's and talked to Customer Service. She sent us back to the cabinet/appliance department. They said they do not carry belts and will not accept the machine back because it is over 30 days. We went back to Customer Service and asked to talk to a manager. The manager said they won't accept returns on washers after 7 days! NO WHERE on any of their signs does it say that you have 7 days to return an item! The signs they had posted stated that the consumer had up to 90 days to return an item. We will definitely be shopping at Home Depot or Lowe's from now on.
poor merchandise
Second year in a row we bought black Friday merchandise from the GR Mi store, NONE of the JUNK works!!! Specifically the drum set we bought for the 2nd yr that the pieces dont even match up.

We called the store to inquire about some merchandise we wanted to purchase and to make sure it was in stock. The person we spoke to told us that the items could not be held unless we came into the store and paid first. We would need to come in to the store to pay for the items in order for them to be held. We were not able to pick up until the next day. When we got to the store and located the department the associate argued with us and told us we could not prepay for any items and that we would have to come back tomorrow and pay for them and pick them up. We explained that we had already called and spoke to someone that told us otherwise he continued to argue we requested a manager. The manager stated the same thing we advised him of what we were told over the phone come to find out the manager was the person we spoke to who advised us we had to come and pay for the items in order for them to be held. My husband and I went to the store and decided to look around as we had other items we wanted to purchase. We made our way through the store being our first time in the store we needed assistance to locate some items. We requested assistance from five different associates and were told each time “let me find someone to help you this is not my department.” I could not believe the poor service we experienced. Not only did we not get quality customer service when we asked where we could find an item the associates pointed and told us go to that end of the store. Are you kidding me? We expected a much higher level of service from Menards; considering they are new to our area and we have two other home improvement store to choose from. My husband is a contractor and I can assure you we WILL NEVER shop at Menards again.
Menards in Galesburg Illinois was awesome for Black Friday shopping, had good qty of everything in ads and staff was very helpful.

I was recently treated like (naughty word) by a couple of your employees in the Cab Appliances department. One was a hefty fellow. I had asked for help and apparently someone's conversation trumped helping a guest.t Oh well. Off to Fleet Farm I go.
i went to the store in Evansville ,in to pick up a zombie ammo case for my son's birthday today...they refused to sell me one at the regular price because they were afraid they wouldn't have any for Black friday!!! go figure it is all about the money but they lost out on me for i will never step foot in that store again! ps it wouldn't let me send this unless i rated them it should be a negitive one!
Great Establishment
I am a general contractor and have been going to Menard's stores for nearly a decade. I've always been treated with respect plus the customer service is great and they have the best prices around. If somewhere else has a better price just bring the current add from the other store in and they'll match it.
An Ohio Menards manager showed me a boxed version of one of their display units. When I got home it turned out to not be the same unit. I took it back (1 hr. roundtrip) they did not have the correct unit in stock - they refused to issue a refund, only an in-store certificate. No exceptions - even tho they knew that it was their fault.
I was just at Menards and as I was leaving and two gentleman came up to me and tried to accuse me of stealing something and kept insisting that I stole something from there store and when I agree to go into the room with them to see there evidence they both started to attack me and tell me they didn't have to show me nothing to empty my pockets I feel so violated this is ridiculous

My experience with Menards in Kenosha WI was bad. I would encourage everyone to shop elsewhere. Poor customer service, poor products and a awful return policy on products that do not work. I have begun to shop at Lowes and I find the entire experience much better. MENARDS HAS LOST AT LEAST A $1000.00 IN PURCHASES FROM ME since my last visit with them. I will never shop at any of their stores again.
Customer service sucks ! They could care less if A PRODUCT THEY SOLD IS MISSING PARTS !! Time to switch to Home Depot
try calling menards customer care. What a joke. there is a recording saying to write them a letter. this will take months to resolve, and by then menards will say to bad. my contractor account will be paid in full and cancelled at the same time. My money will be going somewhere else. last time I will ever step foot into a menards store.
I think your marketing, is fraudlent. If I by a 100 dollar item and you say I get a 20 dollar cashback. I get a certificate for 20 dollars,that I have to spend in your store. If the item I by with my rebate is 20 dollars, and the item cost you 10 dollars you have just screwed me out of ten dollars, Pretty damn creative marketing. By the way I have sent a letter of to Americans With Disabilities, regarding your unconcern for handicap people,shopping your store. Sure glad we have a Lowes here in Waterloo Ia.
I do not believe Mernards would let an associate treat a customer like I was treated today. I went to the grand opening of the Mernards on Miamisburg Springboro Rd in Miamisburg Ohio last week and wanted a shop vac that was on sale for $39.9? and they were out of them. I was given a "SORRY SLIP" and told to bring it back today and get one because the new shipment would be here this week. I did not see them and when I asked an associate if they had come in yet she actually GRABBED MY "SORRY SLIP" OUT OF MY HAND AND WAUDDED IT UP AND THREW IT IN THE TRASH CAN AND SAID.... "THOSE ARE DISCONTINUED AND WE DO NOT TAKE THESE PIECES OF PAPER ANYWAY." Now 1st of all that was so far above and beyone treating someone like dirt that I was speechless. I looked at her and said "REALLY" She looked back at me and said "YES, THAT IS WHAT I SAID" and walked away from me. I left and will never return to a Mernards for the rest of my life and would hope that no-one else will either. Lowes and Home DePot will lower their prices to meet Mernards prices and have better customer service. OF COURSE I AM VERY UPSET
Columbia Mo. Store I drive over 50 miles one way to buy vinyl flooring that is on sale at Menards. I buy 12x36 piece of vinyl flooring that is on sale.Get it home and roll it out on the the floor it is only 32.6 feet long.I call menards and tell them and they tell me they will have to order a new roll.Will take 7 to 10 days ok. Bring the other back ok.I ask who is helping me roll this back up load it on my trailer and haul it 50 miles back plus pay my gas at 3.69 a gal. THere answer is you bought it on sale its on you. one hell of a sale you think

I was in Menards in Kenosha and I tried to get a electric wheel chair to get around in and all they had was one for the whole store but they have 8 handicap parking spots in the parking lot. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!!!!!!
