They have to deal with dangerous situations that most of us would be very glad to avoid at all costs. What we fail to remember sometimes, is that the uniform does not change the fact that these people are first and foremost, human beings, just like the rest of us. Is it not enough that they have to face danger without having to endure mindless abuse as well? Just imagine the kind of mentality that leads some people to hurl invectives at the police officers who serve and protect us, but perhaps those nitwits identify with the bad guys, and see law enforcement as the enemy. Now our first law enforcement guys and gals cannot even be sure it is safe to eat in a restaurant. Something is wrong with this picture. Let us know what you think. It's your call. It came to our attention that earlier today, one of our District 1 deputies, while on a lunch break at a McDonald's restaurant in the Mesa area, was verbally harassed by a number of food handlers there. Workers saw the uniformed deputy, proceeded to verbally harass him in Spanish spewing hateful comments towards him and the Office and Sheriff as a whole. The deputy refused to take the meal, fearing contamination. Finally the deputy contacted the corporate office to brief them on what had occurred. After a review of the facts with this deputy, and in light of the fact that we have conducted employer sanctions cases against a McDonald's restaurant in the past which resulted in a strained relationship between the fast food chain and this Office, I am suggesting that all employees who wish to eat at a McDonald's restaurant, do so with caution. I want to open by letting you know that I have no problem with McDonalds as a whole. This is regarding the treatment of my son at the Vernon, Tx location. Up til a last week, my son had enjoyed working for the McDonalds corporation goin on three yrs. His title at the time was 'swing manager'. He was accused of stealing from a store (not McDonalds) by his Manager Rosemary Ceruantes. She was told that he had taken a pair of girls kids shoes. This incident he was claimed to be a part of happen OFF the clock & OUT of uniform. Prior to my son being let go, the woman who had stolen the shoes confessed to Ms Rosemary. She also informed her that my son had NOTHING to do with the incident. The following morning Ms Rosemary had him sign a letter of duress of loseing his job & the police being called. This letter was not on an type of offical McDonalds disaplinary report. She also refused to provide him with a copy. I spoke to the owner of the 'shoe store' myself. He assured me my son had NO part of what happen. Reguardless, he was to be suspended for two weeks & not allowed to complete his McDonalds classes. To his dimay & he was terminated by Ms Rosemary. She told him "It was on the grounds that his return would be bad for morale". I feel being fired for something all your co-works are aware you did not do is far worse for morale. I feel his dismisal was unwarrented & he should be allowed to return to work. With no reduction of hours. No disciplinary write ups in his file. Also allowed to complete his class. My son was & still would be proud to ware his McDonalds uniform. Thank You, Stephen Taylor.

I recently went to McDonalds and asked if they were hiring in Waukegan, IL! I am 18 y/o african American, orphaned and trying to enter the workforce and better myself by getting a job. I went to 1939 N. Lewis Avenue and I was told by a hispanic female manager that they do not hire blacks there. Why has McDonalds become so racists and only hire Mexicans when I thought all high schoolers and other young people get there start working in American restaurants. I went over today 1/31/2011 for my usual well the lady yelled at me at the drive through after me repeating my order 5 times and she still didn't get it. Tonight at 10:41pm i visited store number 7344.The McDonalds in Sanford NC in Spring Lane. We had to wait 20 minutes for our food, we were asked to pull up in a vacant slot until food was finish being prepared. After waiting for 20 minutes i decided to enter the store to check on my food purchase. Once arriving inside the store I began to ask a clerk about my food order. It's as if they had not even made my food order. So i then asked to speak with a manager on duty. The manager was Jessica. I ask her to come around the counter and she just brushed me off. I then spoke to her in her native language, yet again she still brushed me off and started giggling with other co workers inside the restaurant. The manager was rude, and seemed to careless rather i got my food. The caucasion female was the individual who asked us to pull up. Overall the business was poor, the managment was awful, and the team did not deligate on a professional level. I am upset, not satisfied, and to top it all, the manager really came off as if my money was no good. Once arriving home I called another store for the information retaining to the customer services number, I spoke with Cynthia Martinez and she was very professional and offered to assist me and my brother with our catastrophic order. Cynthia did an excellent job of resolving the issue. But me nor my brother ever plan on going to the McDonalds on Spring Lane Road in Sanford ever again. Cynthia Martinez was able to help us resolve the problem, and she seemed very concerned about the inexperience we had while dinning out at your local restaurant chain. For almost a year now I have been going to mcdonalds in cols Ohio on 359 agler rd, and getting a ice tea on the way to work . And 95% of the time my tea has been sour keep telling them about this and they keep serving this sour tea . So I have to go out of my way to get a fresh Ice tea, Its just this one mcdonalds who dosent make a fresh tea each day they just keep trying to serve the out thats left! I am so tried of throwing my doller away ever morning! Why wont just make a fresh pot! I have told the manger there still nothing, take the lid off the tea and smell it come on!

My son is employed at a McDonalds in Maryland..why is one of his managers telling him that if a customer wants something taken OFF their sandwich (e.g., no mayo, etc.), he is to charge the customer EXTRA???? What the he** is that???? Even he has enough sense to know it's not right....

I currently work at a McDonalds in a city that i can not reveal due to the fact that i need to keep my job.This city in south dakota has 2 McDonalds resturantes one on teh north side of town (the good one) adn a south store (the problem). I work with teh safer and cleaner store and work very hard to keep it clean and safe. sadly i will admit at times we may make mistakes but we try our best to make our resturante a safe, clean, and friendly enviroment including the sponts that you cant see. Sadly the other Mcdonalds in this town does a horrible job of everything i jsut mentioned above. How do i know this information. during the last holiday we sent a crew down to the other store and did the jobs we are required to do. As we noticed on this trip jsut like any other the work enviroment was little to be desired and I personally dont know why it can be allowed for a food service resturante to keep there place so poorley keept. be sure that you notice the little thigns in the posts above and only choose mcdonalds resturantes with actually quality care for there cosutmers and the food they are trying to serve you nad if something is wrong do your best to hvae it reported and taken care off. no dirty resturante is a good one.

i am a previous employee. For real on a real level...McDonalds is not costumer friendly at all its gross holding time on fry's is 7 min. that means after the fry's are taking out of the fryers they HAVE to be sold with in that 7 mins...but of course managers will let them sit for 20-30 mins. and they wonder why people bring back food and say its cold.... same with all the other food. the milk shake machine is constantly braking down. IF U ARE ALLERGIC TO ANY OF THE OTHER FLAVORS LIKE STRAWBERRY. i would take extreme cation on drinking any of it. (not to mention the machine smells like sour milk). Also the frappe and smoothie machine don't get sanitized like it is suppose to so if u want a frappe most likely Ur going to get a smoothie too. (the blenders also smell like sour milk). personally i use to love McDonalds until i started to work there. they also don't clean or sanitize the grill or anything in the grill area in a daily basses. or the floor.. management is extremely rude to costumers because they "have the right to do so." if u are in the Elmira NY area and have any complaints call 6077962514 thank you

Mcdonalds only care about the money i work there and it is ridiculous they make you work long shifts day after day no wonder the employees are moody they are never away from the place! if you cant do certain hours they demote you and treat you like a child. you go into work the managers will shoute at you for something which happend weeks ago yet another manager said at the time it was fine. they are a awful company to work for and i advice everyone to keep clear the food they serve is disgusting and tastes cheap.

Your location at Telegraph & 10 Mile Rd in Southfield, has to be the worst for poor management. They don't know who they have scheduled to work or who their employees are!! I am the mother of a employee who I believe has been seriously discrimated against. This won't be the first or only place I complain about this!

McDonald #5975 1201 South Mt Vernon Ave, Colton CA 92324. (909)824-2540 They have no problem charging for anything extra but whether you get them or not its your problem. It can be frustrating when you are on a lunch hour and having to go back to the office and not get your orders correctly. I don't care for the free meal just fill your order right. And why would you charge .10 cents + tax for extra sauces, especially when you are already placing a big order.

I went to the Mcdonalds in St.Paul at 2322 W. 7th st. At 5:30 Dec 9th. My experience was great. I eat out a lot, being on the road and everything was perfect. The food was excellent and the employees were curteous and neat. The restaurant was clean. Whatever you are trying to do to get the message across it worked for me at that Mcdonalds. One of the 3 peak fast food experiences I have had in the last 10 years has compelled me to submit these complements.
