After reading these comments it seems that it is not just one store that does not know how to treat their employees. The store in this reference is no different. If they want to get rid of you they will find a way. There have been mental breakdowns in which the people had to get help at the recomendation of the Store manager and then a few months after they came back they were set up by another associate and fired. The store manager and management team will perform an act of marking things down then fire associates for following their example. The upper managers are so up the Dm it is not funny he is so snowed. We still work here but daily unless u r on the Managers"good list" (which most of us are not) who knows how long we will be, U ay ask find something ellse.... in our area it is not that easy.

WOW!!! I am driving 10 miles one way and 10 miles back home, everyday that I work!! I have followed company policy on transfering to another store, I have applied to the open positions at the store I wish to transfer and still, I get keep getting the "kiss off", which is the "thank you for applying, but unfortunately we are pursuing other canadiates at this time", MY ASS!! It is funny how you want to stay with a company and then they have to make it so GOD DAMN HARD ON YOU IN THE PROCESS OF JUST TRYING TO TRANSFER TO A CLOSER STORE!!

My daughter graduated from college in May of 2010. She could not find a job anywhere. The only thing she could find was at Lowes Corporation in the call center for consumer complaints. It was awful for her. Being cussed out everyday because their washer or stove didn't work right. That was bad but what was even worse was the way her supervisor treated her. He took an instant dislike to her because she was a college graduate and he wasn't. Then she saw him in the parking lot with a woman who was not his fiance doing who knows what and that didn't help. He did everything he could to make it hard on her and finally got his way and she was let go. She was at work everyday and tried her best. Her fellow employees were the cream of the crop. The man that sat next to her drank out of a flask he kept in his jacket pocket. One of the women was on parole because she had stolen drugs from a drug store. The only reason she had a job was because she was related to someone in the company. Is this how all big companies are? That's really sad.

I work for Lowes Delivery and just wanted to say what a nightmare of a job it is. We get No respect from MGT. We only here from them when something has gone wrong. We are treated like the scum of the earth. And it feels like they dont want to help us out with any costumer issues. I hate going to work for these people. The job isnt that bad its the care less attitudes of the MGT that I cant stand. All there worried about is there bonuses. Weve been through 3 Delivery Drivers in 2 months. You would think that would raise a big red flag to someone who cares. But it doesnt. For now Im stuck, but hopefully not for long. God help me.

Went on-line to get pricing for gas ranges...no pricing is provided, unless of course you give your zip code "to purchase the item". It is generally a good idea to know how much your paying prior to making a purchasing decision. I will never step foot inside Lowes again, nor look on-line for products from Lowes. My husband is a Contractor and said he was frustrated as well. Can Lowes afford lost business at this point. I guess so.

LOWE'S BEST KEPT SECRET (VETERANS GET 10% DISCOUNT ON ALL ITEMS) On August 23, 2011,while checking out of the Arden, N.C, Lowes store; I was informed by the store associate( upon seeing my Veterans cap) that Lowes stores gives veterans a 10% discount. (probably a mistake on his part) and I received the 10% discout. The very next day, while shopping at the Hendersonville, N.C. Lowes store, again wearing my veterans cap and upon checking out; I asked the sales associate for the 10% discount. She required proof of being a veteran. After forty-five years; I do not carry proof of being a war veteran (for that matter, how many veterans carry proof with them ). I told her I did not have proof with me; but, that I had served in Vietnam. Her only comment was, "ANYBODY CAN BUY A HAT !" She spoke loud enough that my nephew and five other people online heard her offensive comment. If Jane Fonda had been in my position; I feel she would have been treated with far more respect then myself. The next day, I spoke with the store manager and showed her all my proof ( dog tags, draft notice, etc.)and requested a letter of apology from the store. I received a letter of apology, however, it was more about store policies then an apology. The best kept secret is Lowes ( has an un-advertised military discount). Lowes will never see this veteran in any of their stores and hopefully other veterans; who served for their country and have to prove to Lowes will also use another store.

I have seen alot of comments on here about store 1557 in Hickory NC. I am assuming this is the store on Highway 70 next to super wallmart. I travel all over the country for work and I am only home on the weekends. My home is in Hickory NC. Through the week as I am on the road I have been in several hundred lowes stores acrossed the country. And I have to say store 1557 is the worst store out of all of them (by far) You cannot get a managers override card at any of the desk areas mainly because there is never any managers on the salesfloor. And when a manager does arrive you get a rude heavy set woman who belittles the associated in front of me. I will never ever go in this store again whoever is running this store needs to be replaced. The employees all have time to talk to each other but not the customers.

I'm an employee of Lowes in Middleburg, FL and have been for over a year now. Working retail is new to me, and has been a real learning experience. I have to say, the team I have been working with, from management down to the freight guys and everyone in between have been a great bunch of co-workers and have helped me learn this store, the products and the how-to's of retail immensely. Every team member I meet is dedicated and willing to help the customer in every way possible and we all take a great deal of pride in everything we do at this store. We are a very new store and getting a foot hold in this small community takes a lot of work and effort, but everyone I've met has met the challenge with a smile and it shows to the customers well. I know every customer can never be satisfied all the time, but our team does everything they can to try to make each and every customer a satisfied one....always! I'm proud to work at Lowes, and more so to work at the Middleburg Florida store. Great job everyone!

I think someone should take a good look at the new Claremont,NH, Lowes store. It opened last year in the spring. they have some very dishonest lead people there. My grandaughter started working there when it opened, and has been a loyal employee. She is 23 years old, a single Mom of an 8 month old son. She has been a flooring specialist and just recently given cabinets. She also helps sell appliances, and does very well. Now to my story. She started dating a fellow employee(different depts) in June of this year. He has been with the company for 4+ years. In July he was offered a dept managers job in lumber dept, he asked at that time if his dating an employee would be a problem. they had a meeting of all managers and it was decided that it was fine as long as they were not living together.(which they are not), so he took the position. He works very hard and is doing a great job. another employee decided to take revenge because she was mad and wrote out a complaint about them dating,(she was one of the managers that was at the meeting and agreed that it was not a problem),now she denies it.but anyways they told my grandaughter and this gentleman that they had 30 days to either end their relationship, find new jobs or he has to step down a dept manager. this is discrimination in my eyes as well as other people in this area. we are thinking seriously of not shopping there anymore. my grandaughter has to find another job, with insurance for her son and herself which is not right. why do you condone this kind of treatment to your valued employees? the HR manager said the decision came from your corp office. Please change this rule, if they are not in the same dept and he is not her manager, and he does not do manager duties for the whole store, only assistant managers do that in this store. we have been advised to put this in the local newspaper and also see a lawyer. please respond. my e-mail is gandbcombs@comcast.net.

I am glad to see many employees chime in about the 1557 store in Hickory North Carolina. That store is very poorly run (I left the company a few weeks ago) One manager sits in the office and yells over the PA system all day long. While the other manager sits behind her and talks on her cell phone all day long. And the store manager (who allows this) spies on people in the camera room all day. And if you report anything to the area HR manager he will intimidate you and make you quit. There is no open door policy in 1557 with their unethical store and Area HR managers. The Charlotte Observer and Fox news station are gonna be the next ones to hear the story about 1557.

We bought a $500 Whirlpool dishwasher From Lowes in Mt.Pleasant SC. after 18 month and 455 washes the pump is out and now were paying payments and interest on something that does not work. Its Shameful that lowes wont stand behhind the products its sells. If any consumor who is thinking about a major appliance purchase should stay away from any Whirlpool product. Do not make a purchase like we did without checking on the web about conplaints against the manufacture. Whirlpool and Lowes Corperation is will not stand bbehind the products they sell. I hope this helps someone from being in the same position we are. We bought American. To bad its junk.

Perhaps you can help .. I have tried for over 45 minutes to apply for a job at your Bayshore location online, and have been unsuccessful. The site that handles the process – is not working – and gets hung up regardless of what browser I use. Would you please forward this to anyone that can help me complete an application? I am registered already, but can never get by the step where they ask for contact information / phone number etc. Please reply so I know this is being addressed. Blitz02@verizon.net

To: Lowe's Corporate office, Shopping in Lowe's, in Prescott AZ, I was shocked to find that Lowe's in full deference to all Americans, is now using bi-lingual printed material and stores across America. English is our primary language. We are fighting a full blown NARCO WAR of terrorism on our S/W borders. The Obama DOJ has supported this war with full impunity from day one. And Lowe's is dong the same. Meanwhile your fellow Americans are being shot at and 101 American have been murder this year. Lowe's is clearly supporting all illegals who managed to get here, will never assimulate in our society, learn English and become citizens which is why were're fighting a war on our border. They know all Buss's in America that will hire them accept their fake paper work, and pay them under the table and offer them protection. Does Lowe's utilize E-Verify for hiring? Is your hiring p/W printed in English and Spanish? If the answer is "yes," you have kicked to the curve your fellow American work force that needs to be re-employed. Your greed is helping to destroy this counrty right along with our current Gov't. My boycott is already in place and I urge the rest of America to do the same until the sign come down and we can also find products in your store saying "Made IN America." This is America not a third world nation YET. Support your counrty or move South of the border. Disgusted in AZ. Carol Dudas

i would like to inform you of an employee of yours. her name is Jamie and she works at the Lowe's in Pearland, Texas. i first came across Jamie back in June 2011 when i my Frigidaire deep freezer wasn't working properly. she took care of me and got me a replacement. so because of her service i returned in July to purchase a GE washer. so this is where the fun begins, i get to the store and i am wanting to buy this washer and the sales guy tells me that they are out of stock and the company is back ordered on this model. he also tells me that no one will have this model. well i am getting ready to leave and very unhappy i might say. i run into your employee Jamie whom just happened to be near the front of the store and said hello and asked what was wrong. so i told her about what just happened, she told me to hold on. she went to a computer and looked up the washer, then told me we have 4 of them. i was so angry that the sales guy told me all that crap about the washer being back ordered, but was really happy with Jamie for taking care of me. so that would be great and all if that was the end of the story. but the washer i bought doesn't work, it only gets half of the clothes wet in the tub and doesn't clean the clothes. this is frustrating at best, but Jamie came through and helped me out and i am so happy i wanted to share this with you. i am a disabled veteran and i am proud to shop at this store because of Jamie and i will continue to shop there. thank you, Jamie in the installed sales department for helping me. I like to say as an employee that it is not easy working for Lowe's or it's customers. If a customer comes in with a smile and treats the employee with respect then that is what he will receive in return. It is when the customer is rude that they recieve the service that they want to complain about. Really whats with wanting everything for free ? I have never seen so many people want product and product related services for free. If Lowe's would stop kissing the customers backside and start taking that money for all the free crap and services and giving it to the employee in from of raise COMPENSATION (this is the Lowe's customers favorite word )then maybe you customers would get better service. Oh by the way if you think the customer service is bad then I suggest you need not apply for a job. You need to have some really thick skin to work with corporate and then the greedy customer. People are just trying to support their families give them a break. Go to your local supermarket and ask them what they have for free. HA HA NOTHING

Currently work for Lowes store # 1792 Sales specialist Dept._____?# 1792, When I started Lowes it was all great at the beginning because i was new to the Lowes environment . I worked my ass off , but until i seen how crappy the management was at Lowes . My work ethnic was not good as it was for the first couple of months . As an employee at Lowes they do not have no voice to voice their concerns . Lowes do not care about their employees but they do value their customers and money. Lowes management is not very skilled at handling most employee situations and lacks the humility to be respectful. It has almost been three years and not one time i had a conversation with the store manager . The employees ( Managers, head cashier, department managers at Lowes are very hostile creates tension, disrupts work flow, has frequent angry outbursts, refuses to cooperate with coworkers and supervisors, and exhibits poor work habits and performance. In order to move up in a position you have to kiss someone ass and if they like you as an employee you will be able to transfer to another position. I rather work at a gas station before i work at Lowes again in my life. I learned a lesson in life always before starting a new job for huge company like Lowes please look at the the past employees reviews search through google.com search engine because what i read 99.8 % out of 100 was true about lowes.

i would like to get the phone number for the region 15 regional human resources manager that covers the thibodaux 2596 store

this is a continuation from before because the store hr manager is not really doing anything .

I will never shop at a Lowe's Store again. I was quoted a price for a security door, including install but Steve the man that did the measure called back and said the price would be an additional $138.00 including fee for measuring. I said cancel the order and they had Sales Spec.(Author of Book, Brass Tacks) Don Grunzweig call me back and explain the situation and then O.K.'d refund. It is obvious this store was trying to pad this deal. I think this department should be investigated. Thank you. Mel Fowler
