Lowe's recent decision to pull its ads for the show An American Muslim is an insult to all free thinking Americans. Lowe's caved in to a religious group in Florida for fear they might upset a few people's sensibilities. Well, now you've upset mine so I won't be shopping at your store anymore! I've spent alot of money at Lowe's over the years but no more-I'm going to Home Depot from now on!

When I need things for the house and garden I have a choice here in Lexington: Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, or my local Chevy Chase Hardware. Lowe's decision to cave to pressure from the bigoted crackpots at the Florida Family Association and pull their advertising support for the "All American Muslim" show on TLC means that I will now have three places to go for my home and hardware purchases, as I will no longer spend my money at Lowe's. “We understand the program raised concerns, complaints, or issues from multiple sides of the viewer spectrum, which we found after doing research of news articles and blogs covering the show,” said Katie Cody, a spokeswoman for Lowe’s.(Washington Post, Dec. 9) This is a reasonable response? It "raised concerns"? I'm sure it did -- from the people who would have us all think that Muslims are some kind of existential threat to our country. Because they're Muslims. Never mind that they're everyday Americans living with the very same American lives that we all do. They're Muslim, they're dangerous. Well, folks, here's another concern, complaint and issue being raised by me. You've stepped right in it this time. In an attempt to placate a bunch of unthinking reactionaries you've managed to look pretty unthinking yourselves. I'll be happy to go back to shopping at Lowe's, but I won't until I see clear evidence that your corporate practices are not beholden to the bigots among the American populace. I don't want to reward that kind of thing.

Yes Lowe's! It is about time we speak out. What happen to Lowe's freedom. I will purchase everything I can from Lowe's . They have the right in this Country to run their ads where they choose. I admire the courage it took to take action. Muslins go home if you don't like the way we do things. We owe you nothing.

You Pulled your sponsorship from All-American Muslim, Im pulling my business from you. I have spent alot of money at Lowes, from Landscaping, which is my main business, to flooring, tools, ect.

I am a constant DIY home improver and visit my local Lowes store at least once a week. However, I am deeply disappointed and disgusted with their decision to pull their funding of the American Muslim show. We Christians complain about Muslin extremists and yet we don't recognize the Christian extremists within our own society. I have lost all respect for a corporation that bends to the wishes of this small-minded, biggotted Christian extremist group. We need programs like the American Muslin show to help teach Americans that Muslim can and are good loyal American citizens. From this day forward, I will drive the extra miles to Home Depot.

I just read about your decision to pull out your advertising on a particular program on television.This shouldn't be construed as racist, or religious bigotry, in Ca. you have a state senator seeking to make a name for himself on the national level at your expense, many Americans are becoming aware of the encroachment by such groups and the changes in America they are intending to make and we applaud Lowe's for having an attentive ear for their customer base. While it is the right of people to boycott your stores, if they should choose to do so, it is at their loss, I believe Lowe's to be the finest home improvement store in America today.

Great job Lowe's!! I am glad that corporate had the courage to pull the ads from TLC, please do not cave in to the main stream media or the other liberals who are howling discrimination.

Government and special interest groups have no business dictating to a commercial enterprise how and where to invest their advertising dollars. I will continue to shop at your stores. PS. My local Lowes store offers excellent customer service.

I have just seen how you pulled your ads from the show All-American Muslums. My hats off to you. Thank you for standing up to ALL AMERICAN VALUES. One can not be an American and a Muslum. It is like mixing oil with water. Their so called holy book says death to all infidels which is anyone who is not a muslum. I shop at Lowe's frequently but will not do so ever again. What a shame that you are so completely blind to the constitution's guarantee of freedom of religion. My husband is an ordained Christian minister and he doesn't understand the cowardice of pulling your ads from the Muslim TV program. It is cowards like you who lead the country to believe that there is something wrong with Islamic people. It seems to me that it is better to stand up and sponsor a show about a religion that is misunderstood in order to help America better live our tenets of tolerance and multiculturalism rather than folding to the ridiculous right wing so-called Christians who are intolerant and bigotted. It's difficult to understand how they profess to believe they are living the life Christ taught when all evidence supports his teachings of love, understanding, and generosity. Too bad that you allowed the fanatical few to dictate pulling your sponsorship when this program could do so much good. Shame on you.

I just want to say thank you for removing your sponsorship for the Muslim TV program. This is America and we do not need to push Shariah Law and people who do not want to assimulate. I would also like to add, that in America our language is ENGLISH and that is the only language we should hear blasting from loud speakers in any store................. thank you

Thank you for pulling your advertising from All American Muslim. They will have to prove that. I saw Muslims on TV cheering when the Twin Towers fell. This has nothing to do with religion or polotics.This is about being an American.

Pulling Lowes advertising off The Learning Channel program in Michigan means I will boycott purchasing Lowes prducts. I have never done this before so this is my first. We have our own religious fanatics who give christains a bad name and corporations should not bow to the bigotry of such fanatics.

Lowes definately did the right thing by refusing to sponcer the television show "All American Muslims" for many reasons. Good moral decisions are always ultimately good business decisions. My business is a good customer of Lowes and I am a good customer of Lowes and I am so proud of their quick decision to do what is RIGHT. This decision is not about disliking any group of people but it is about refusing to promote a political agenda which is by their own definition built on killing all who do not agree with their beliefs. I am saddened that Lowes has chosen to support bigotry by pulling its advertising from the reality TV show All American Muslims. Have we learned nothing as a country from our treatment of Blacks, Japanese, and other ethnic minorities? I have a choice and I will choose not to shop at Lowes.

I've been shopping at Lowe's for years. I know many of the staff at my local Lowe's by name and they know me. I just read about your pulling advertising from the TV show, which shows Muslims families being ordinary people who happen to be member of the Muslim faith. Most groups of people of all religion, ethnic groups or race are NOT terrorist or mad bombers. They are just individuals and families who want to live their lives in peace, raise their kids, follow their dreams, contribute to their community through good works, volunteering, etc. It is okay to disagree in a Free society, it is Not okay to discriminate against the least favored group of the hour or day because of individual in that group who for reasons of their own have turned to violence. I recently retired with 35 years of military service. Have been a loyal Lowe's customer for years. But that may end soon. If I do not mind a show such as "All-American Muslim" being sponsored by Lowe's, no one should. Your company is just showing it's true colors and does not deserve to be receiving any more of this military mans money in the future. It has been a down hill slide with your corporation over the last few years, your installation being done by the Manchester NJ store is sub par, have had problems with projects that I have had done through your store there. Now this. Maybe you should look at increasing your bottom line by getting back to values that you used to have. Serving the local population (whatever the religion), quality work and ethical standards. Sadly, you have lost all three. May be time to switch over to Home Depot for my next remodel project, the kitchen. They cannot be any worse that what you are providing.

I am appalled about Lowe's decision to pull their television ads from All American Muslim, a current running show because bigots complained that they did not want to see the commercial of an American company during this show. This is down right racist. To even bend to the views of the groups/people whom complained to Lowe's is making Lowe's as culpable in racisim as the complaining parties. I grew up in an America that attacked, beat and stepped in the way of Black citizens (as well as other ethnic groups) and knew in my heart that something was not right. I learned to be "different" from what I was taught and stood against racism from a young age even if it meant punishment against me. I will not stand for a company supporting racism and then stating they "had to pull the ads" because of "popular" view. This is racism and I will never shop at a Lowe's again even if they issue an apology. Shame on Lowe's. Shame on those whom made the decision to pull ads. Shame on the groups/people whom got Lowe's to side with their racist viewpoints. Shame on any American whom would support the pulling of these ads...NONE of you were originally here on American soil.

Lowes, You are finding out that you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. I applaud you for pulling your advertising recently. It shows you have excercised your right to spend your advertising dollars where you feel it best suits "your shareholders company". Yes you may lose shareholders and customers, but I bet you also gain as many as you lose. The government has no right condemning your actions and cannot tell you where you have to spend your advertising dollars. Our government is overreaching with any political boycott or inquest they are wanting. I can tell you right now that if you stick by your decision, I am one of the investors/customers you will gain. Being a business owner myself, I understand that what ever decision you would have made in the advertising would have been wrong in someones belief. But if you waiver now it will show the inability to be a stron decision making company. That is why you are damned if you do and damned if you don't.
