I work for Store 728 in Anderson,South Carolina-Loader 1,and im going to HR tomorrow because Alfred Rutledge OPS Manager wrote me up on final notice for pushing to many catrs into the cart area,I dont think there is no limit to pushing carts in,ive been there 2years and ive never read nething in the hand book nore the employee manual about how many carts to push in. The Store Manager Is Brian Ficsher. P.S.Im a Good Worker and loading,pulling orders is my job,i could see if i broke a customers orders or damaged it in anyway or hit a customers car with a cart.Now thats a liable reason to terminate me that has not happend because im a great worker.
the winchester ky store has the same issues with the good old boys network and knowing the right people get you on top..The are severals managers in the building that are sleeping around and managers are covering up serious violations of the company policy and the human resource manager is also covering up.so they wont lose their jobs..store needs investigated
Last June 2009 we decided to tackle a complete remodel of our kichen. It was a huge project that included several new appliances, counters, sinks, the works. We are not the "do it yourself" types but we're getting there. We went to Lowe's and met with Ron Kuyat,the kitchen and cabinet designer extrordinaire in the Somerset Kentucky store. He put us to ease right away with his warm and friendly manner (and professionalism). My husband Roy is a truck driver and not always home so it was Ron and I that did most of the designing. Ron answered my questions and concerns quickly and patiently, especially when I felt overwhelmed. I am disabled and some days are harder than others. Tiffany in the kitchen and cabinet department (same as Ron Kuyat) was very helpful when Ron was with other customers. She too is very good at her job and easy to work with. We were fortunate to have Curt Mills as our installer. He ia a master of his craft. He gets the job done quickly and it looks great! Its been almost a year later and it looks brand new. a job done well. We would also like to commend the staff in appliances. They were a big help when it came to picking out a new dishwasher and an over-the-stove microwave. Good job guys! We are now getting ready to remodel our bathroom and we are looking to Lowe's for ideas and good buys. All in all our experiences with Lowe's have been positive ones and we look forward to working with your staff in the future. I am a single parent applied for a job and had a call back everything went well but I believe it is policy that you have to work weekends. I would work 40 hours and be one of your best workers being that I have to support my daughter and need to work. I can work everyday 7a.m to 4p.m and have time to have a family life. Something has got to give in the state of TN you either start at 5am-my child gets on the bus at 6am or you work 12 hours a day which makes it so hard for employment or family time. Can your company have any concessions for this? Regular hours like 7 to 3 and 3 to 11? Your missing out on some hard working parents that need regular hours.
Somebody from there needs to take a good hard look at their Marquette MI store. There are things happening in that store that should not be going on and also terminations that should not be happening. A department manager got terminated for inappropriate conduct but the person that made the accusations was sleeping with one of the other department managers in the lighting department. This in my eyes is a problem, also the person that made the accusations and sleeping with the DM has been on a final for three different things within a years time and yet she is still employed with your company. There are alot of other things going on there but everybody turns there heads because of the good old boy network. If policy is policy then it should be that way for everybody, not the people that are not part of the network. I think people are treated unfairly there and somebody from higher than Gaylord should look into this issue and fix the problems. I'm sure if they talk to the right people they will get the answers that will tell the true story about that store and some of the people in it. This is not the kind of Lowes that I have shopped at in other cities around the country. I will not shop at this Lowes again but will if I am in a different city. I sure hope you can fix the problems there so that I may go back to shop there again in the future. I am not alone in this either, I have talk with several other people and they feel the same way. This problem has been addressed up yhe chain of command but apparnetly it needs to go higher.
Im writting on behalf of employees in 2837..... greenville nc this store needs some assistance.... the managers are blowing off employees with stupid remarks like "not my problem the dept manager needs to handle it" or " oh well i wont be here it dont affect me" ive been with lowes for several several several years and multiple stores ive never ever had a store like this its unreal.... floor associates are skim their working their butts off and they are soooo short handed its unreal. carrying phones for the whole back section of the store at one time with no help managers dont answer call buttons and help anyone out headcashiers are a joke.... they dont stand at the door as well as the new dept manager theyre to busy walking the store doing whatever they want and cutting the crap with other people instead of their jobs theyre petty they down talk and disrespect associates up front they have the worst attitudes they adress things on the floor in front of customers they treat people like their 10 and it needs to stop soon..... they need to grow up rules and policies that should apply dont u have several associates with facial peircings such as face nose and the hr manager says its not a policy i choose to enforce... im really fed up with this immaturity i love my job i love contractors simply bc ive dealt with them all at several stores but this store is a joke and theres no way to transfer with theres nothing open in another location so what is an employee to do???? i speak for all of 2837 when i say something has to give and someone needs to get this store straight we need new zones and a new admin and a new store manager ops manager works and trys her best to hold this store together..... please help soon.....
