Apparently, the store in Jefferson City, TN (2709) is again looking for a Sales Manager - the 4th in as many years. The Store Manager here has run off an awful lot of good people. Without reservation and without exaggeration, the manager here is an absolute nightmare. The first two Sales Managers quit and all but two of the original Sales Specialists quit in the first 15 months the store was open. Since then, the turnover rate for just about every position has been unbelievable. Monuments can be built to this guys arrogance, sarcasm and childishness and yet the beat goes on. You've had your fair warning......

Peach Orchard Rd and Bobby Jones Lowes of August, GA have terrible customer service !! I might not go in and spend thousands @ a time, But they could have given me better service ! There responds was sorry we are short staffed and you came at our busiest time ?? And that means what ?? I didn't realize Lowes was a convenience store and you should only go at certains times ??? Instant me and my husband went to Lowes to get a measurement done for carpet install.. When I asked a lady for some help she stated I am off GET some one else ?? What are you serious ?? I said Ok.. I asked another Gentleman he said push the button on the pole, So I did and another lady came I voiced my complaint and in her return she stated what do you want to do ? I said go to Home depot she said you are better off ?? WOW Today @ the same store ( going out of convenience of location ) I went to get paint 246.00 to be exact and I go the worse service !! I didn't like the color on the top of the lid it did not match the color choosen.. She said you can settle for it or wait another 30 minute to get your order filled again we are busy !! Pfff WOW.... I am sorry whether I buy a Living room fan or a high dollar item, I will refuse to shop at convenience again.... You lost out MONEY, and Looking at the current post not sure you even care...

I scheduled service on my washer, repair company changed the date .I called ya'll back your rep. said a supervisor would call me they never did.I did not hear from company on day of appointment.I called your company again, first they said I never scheduled appointment then they said it was scheduled through the store, then they said that company could not come out because another compny had worked on washer less than 2 weeks ago.Supervisor was rude and even said I should not let my son schedule appointment, which he did not and that it should not go through the store.Well I have an e-mail from head office saying I schedule through proper means and appointment was to be on thursday. Now my washer will not be fixed till monday. That is okay because I have put signs in my van saying don't buy from Lowes ask me why?And in 30 min I have had 4 people ask.I will never buy from Lowes again. You have no customer service

I WOULD LIKE TO COMMENT ON YOUR MANAGERS AT THE MOORE STORE IN OKLAHOMA MARK FREDERICK AND RAMOND (NOT SURE OF HIS LAST NAME). BOTH OF THESE GENTLEMEN HAVE BEEN SO HELPFUL TO OUR COMPANY!

Went over the summer and spent over $8,000 dollars at the Rome NY store for remodeling materials. Went in today and needed 2 ceiling tiles to finish the job. They would not sell me 2 tiles. I had to buy a whole box 84.00 to get the 2 tiles I needed. So much for customer service.

You will never get a call from the ivory towers at Lowes in NC. At best, you might get a call from a regional manager. The corporate people don't listen to anyone, they just dictate to the world what they want and then shield themselves from the consequences of their own decisions - like so many large companies, they're lost in the past success of the business and can no longer see beyond their mirrors. If you think it's ridiculous how Lowes treats their customers, you ought to try to be in the shoes of their employees.

Why does corporate not give me a returned call after two weeks of leaving several complaints... i said DO NOT have store manager call me as it is NOT their problem! They are only dont what YOU tell them to do and then you have THEM call me! I have a business in Dallas and we also purchase foreclosures for rental properties. I am not a casual Lowe's customer/shopper. I did not call them back even though they said I could return the 2.00 item I was ONLY wanting to EXCHANGE! Your policy is not drivers licence no returns. I do not have a State of Texas (or other state issue drivers license). I 62 and was born in Dallas and have offices and residences inside and outsude of the country. I do over $30K in one year with Lowes on my company and personal credit cards.. you sure dont ask for a state ID to accept them! I will not give up my international drivers license to have a Texas Drivers License as it is against the law to have more than one. and, what if I was 86 like my mother and no longer drive? No license.. do you refuse her? she also wasnt in the military... think about it! Today finally someone called me while i was in the shower.. he must have just awaken because with the FROG in his throat I could not understand most of what he said or the return phone number; he said but he did leave me your policy (AGAIN) saying only returns with STATE issued DL or military ID... why the hell not a US PASSPORT! it is better than ANY DL as you have to have 3 ID's to secure a Passport! But no! In your limited vision and terrible corporate response to answer back to a customer much less try to take care of them you prefer to lose a customer. I am pulling all the items i have purchased from Lowes and locating receipts.. I will have one of my employees WITH his DL return all. shame shame shame on you for not being more responsible in contacting customers from corporate level and being more open to listening to their complaints and suggestions. I am a very upset customer.

I bought a shed from your Gilroy, CA store spending $1000. After we built it I found a few accessories were missing. Contacted the manufacturer and they said these items were not included with that shed. Lowe's sometimes sells different products with the sheds. So I went back to Lowe's, looked in the book and those accessories were supposed to come with my shed. Finally talked to the department manager, Manny and he was the most rude associate I have ever dealt with. I guess the shed in the book we looked at was a special order shed and the accessories only came with the special order. Too bad your associates did not know their products. I would have ordered the thing. So Manny tells me I can bring the shed back and order the special order shed. Right. So with a laugh he says, "You can stand here all day but there is nothing I can do for you." Terrible customer service and it made me a Home Depot shopper for life!

For all you appliance customers out there.... here's something you should be aware of. Don't ever buy extended warranties from Lowes. It's not that the coverages are all that bad of a deal - it's how Lowes pays and treats the contractors that come out to your house to make repairs that's causing big problems. Lowes has made so many people so mad for so long that many good repairmen won't work for Lowes. The proof is easy - check out the turnover rate for service coordinators at the store level. These people are hired fired and quit constantly. Why? The job is an absolute nightmare. They can't find enough repair people willing to work for them at all let alone do it for what Lowes wants to pay or with any sense of haste. On top of that, of the few that are willing to participate, many don't have the expertise to do the jobs right. A heavy percentage of warranty service calls end up going back and forth between who did what - when - why - etc. Customers eventually give up and buy somewhere else or get so mad they threaten to shove whatever product up a persons dark regions. It's a complete joke.

Under the Federal Labor Laws concerning employees rights in the workplace and specifically - Title 7 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 pertaining to Offensive Conduct by the Boss, Lowes is dangerously close to disaster. The definition of harassment is specifically spelled out and includes consideration of 1) Intimidation 2)Insults 3) Put Downs 4) Interference with Work Performance. It is understood that lone occurrences do not constitute a problem with the law and it also acknowledged that attempting to sue Lowes or any employer for their managerial behaviors would take a larger toll on the average individual or group of individuals than he/she or they, are likely to want to deal with. This does not however change the fact that Lowes is in trouble. Yes, sooner or later someone or some group will be so incensed that they will go to the courts for satisfaction but even losing such a case in court won’t compare to the overall damage the company is causing itself. For thousands of past employees, the behaviors cited above not only existed in the workplace at Lowes but actually occurred on a constant and daily basis. On top of that, these behaviors were often displayed with some of the most arrogant and worst degrees of sarcasm anyone can imagine. The point is that constant displays of this kind of conduct does in fact constitute harassment but rather than cause a slew of court cases, the result is always a loss of very good people that just resign. For thousands of current employees, Lowes is an ongoing nightmare. One that most feel unable to do anything about for fear of reprisal and/or fear of being without a job in a lousy economy. It is hard to know how much of this kind of behavior is condoned or maybe even praised by the corporate office but it is an absolute guarantee that countless complaints have gone unanswered with no measurable improvement to or for the lower level rank and file. As with most large companies, the build up of corporate level employees (who compared to store level personnel accomplish nothing) blame downturns on everything and everyone else. With no voice in the mix from the store level - the little guy becomes the puppet of management’s whims and at the same time takes the brunt of their abuses. As Lowes continues to chase off their good employees and further crush the morale of any left standing, things like service to the customer and profits continue to suffer and all you have to do is just watch any non-management employee in a store for 5 minutes to realize he/she couldn’t care less. To date, the company still doesn’t have a clue as to what’s happening to them. As the economy continues to falter, the only emerging sense from management is greater frustration and an increase in the arrogance and the sarcasm. It’s an old story that just keeps repeating itself. From my personal experience, I can’t imagine a company any more deserving of its own demise.

the Lowes store in Elizabethton TN is always out of stock in whatever I go to buy- and they hang up on me when I call and ask for a smiple price check - I would like to know the price of lumber before I drive there- have to drive 20 miles- so I get upset and then drive all the way to Johnson City to buy my lumber and if I have to drive to JC then I buy at Home Depot- there is a Lowes in Johnson City but Lowes is not getting my business- no way.

WE WERE IN STORE # 203 IN WEST CARROLLTON OHIO, YESTERDAY. I WANTED TO PURCHASE A SHOP-VAC THAT WAS LISTED IN YOUR AD AS OF THURSDAY. i ASKED 2 OLDER MEN WHE WERE IN THE AREA AND THE FIRST QUESTION i WAS ASKED WAS," DO YOU HAVE THE AD WITH YOU", THEY THEN SAID THAT THEY DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT. tHEY WERE BY THE KEY CUTTING AREA AND DIDN'T EVEN OFFER TO HELP ME FIND THE SHOP-VAC. I WENT TO A REGISTER AND THE CASHIER CALLED SOMEONE FROM THE SERVICE AREA. THIS YOUNG LADY HELPED ME FIND IT AND MADE SURE THAT IS ALL WE NEEDED. IT IS THIS KIND OF TREATMENT OR LACK OF SUCH THAT HAS MADE US HOME DEPOT CUSTOMERS. IN THE PAST YEAR WE HAVE SPENT SOMEWHERE BETWEEN $1000 AND $1500 AT HOME DEPOT AND $54.9S AT LOWE'S

What is the deal with putting up signs in Spanish in the Ft Smith Arkansas store? Why are you catering to undocumented, illegals in this country? Why don't you have signs in Czechoslovakia?Russia,Greek? Most of my ancestors came to this country from those areas of the world and had to jump threw all the hoops and LEARN the English language and pass all the test and become Citizens. But your company and so many others are catering to undocumented, illegals in this country,Why for your bottom line? Well how about you stand up for your country and support Americans by NOT catering to Mexicans,by NOT buying your products from China and abroad. Just a thought on how you may be able to keep your BASE customers Americans!!

My husband and I went to Lowes This afternoon to purchase a chargable lawn mower and weed wacker. We found just what we wanted on line . The store was sold out and the employee that was helping us could not firgure out how to order one for us, after 20 min of back pedeling etc while he looked on line and at inventory we gave up and will purchase them else where. We have just moved in a new to us house and need lots of things. Lowes has lost our business. This was at the vacaville Ca. store, store manager Robert Visser.

Early May 2010,I purchased merchandise from lowes in pembrooke pines, ft. lauderdale fl. international desk to be shipped to st. thomas usvi...I rented a 20' trailer from a shipping Company which cost approx $4,000 in shipping....before we left the lowes store, we were reassured that everything would be shipped...when the trailer arrived a lot of the merchandise that we paid for in full were not on the trailer...when i contacted lowes it took a long time to get a response from the lady who made the original order...I finally contacted a manager who said they will pay for the extra shipments....I had 2 extra shipments that I had to pay for... so far with no reimbursements.....It is almost 3 months now and I am still missing my rails and I have not received my reimbursements on the 2 extra shippings as the manager promised....I will try and get in touch with lowes headquarters, then if nothing is done I will transfer it to my attorney....this is absolutley very stressful and frustrating....

On June3 2010 my wife and I went to the local Lowe's of Mt Vernon,Illinois(Store #66) to purchase a new front door for our home. The service person was veryhelpful and we made arrangemants for the installatiion team to come out and make final checks and take final measurements for the door to be ordered. On June 10 after all needed measurements wer taken I was told that we had to pay for the door to be ordered and for the installation service whic was done in for a total of over $1,000 (one thousand dollars)We were told that it would be 14 days before the installation of the door which was no problem and the installation team came out on June 30th to install the door. After a quick check i was informed that the wrong door was shipped and they could not install the door that was delivered and had to take it back to the store and would be in contact with me. After 1 week I had heard nothing from the store or the installation team so I called the store to find out the problem only to be informe d that the door remained on the installation team truck for 5 days and they would not reorder until the door was returned. After several additional call I was informed that the door was ordered and would be installed sometime during the week of July 12. At this time July 17 I have not been able to receive a date fro installation nor heard anything from the store. This delay has cause my family to delay vacation and other activities and only one person from the store has offered to help get the situation. It has now been over a month and still no door. Maybe you can build a little fire that will burn down the old door and put the heat on your employees at the local store to replace the burned down door. Just a phone call or an update would be nice to let customers know that theie busines is a welcome. Finally on July 23 we will be leaving for an extended period of time and upon our return our schedule will have us away from the house all day and installation time will become a problem unless the store is willing to reimburse for missed work hours.

Today my husband went to our local Lowe's in Delran NJ looking for recessed light bulbs of a certain wattage. The employee working with him could not find them so he called another person over to help. After that employee was asked the question about the wattage he told my husband "Go ask your President Obama why you can't get them". Now why would he do that.? My husband asked a simple question and expected a simple answer. Not some arrogant response that actually is over the top inappropriate. I could even see it if my husband was being difficult, but he was only was asking about the wattage. Clearly this employee seems to have a problem with people skills. Perhaps Lowe's needs to consider customer relations training or inform this employee that without customers there is no job. We have decided not to use Lowe's any longer.

I was recently put in charge of ordering a special order faucet needed for services on my base. I ordered the faucet from the beavercreek store in ohio. I ordered this faucet on April 21, 2010. The clerk who helped me gave me a price and I paid for it with my units funds. A few days after the purchase, I got a call from the store saying that the clerk had made a mistake in the purchase price. I explained that it was the stores responsibility to ensure their people have the knowledge when ordering special order items. The person at the store agreed that Lowes will stick with the price given to me. However, the item was to take only 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. After the 6 weeks was up I contacted the store only to hear that the manufacturer was delaying the item another 2 weeks. After 2 weeks the store called me and told me the item had slipped again for another 2 weeks. I fianlly received the item June 26th. When the faucet was being installed, it was found that a very vital piece of the faucet is missing. Now I have to go back to that store and get them to get me that piece, which will probably take an additional 4 to 6 weeks to get in. This faucet is used to clean water containers for aircrew who fly missions everyday. This is totally unexceptable. It seems Lowes didn't want to lose the cost difference in the price they quoted me and the price the manufacture quoted them. It appears the store was hoping I would request a refund and that would be it. I've been in the military for going on 26 years now. If Lowes thinks they can outlast me or delay me into just getting a refund.....well they are dead wrong. I will outlast these bafoons and they will get it right. I plan to hound this store everyday until I get the piece to make this faucet work. If Lowes Corporate would have any sense of right and wrong, they would step in and ensure this was done right. I will be putting in paperwork, Military wide, to ensure the military will no longer use Lowes as a supplier for anything for our troops.
