I had ordered a gas stove from the Vallejo store, we were promised that it would be at our house on the 1st of the month. It's the nearly a week from the promised date, and we revived it not only two hours late but a damaged product without all the parts. When I spoke to a customer service person; he had told me that he checked it and the stove was fine, but after Lowes customer service person spoke to us he had said that he came straight from the vacaville store and not the Vallejo store, I paid over 700.00 onthe stove not to mention paying the electrician for the electrical on the gas rang. The customer service and sales is not in par with a multi- million dollar company!!!
I rate Lowes off STATE AVE in Kansas city, ks THe WORSEST!! I think the manger JENNIFER has no cuustomer service skills, she was RUDE, and completely out of line!!! My husband and I bought a: Bose-Washer,Dryer, Hot Water tank last sunday! The washer quite working after one week. WEnt back to Lowes and I was told by:Jennifer that I was just out to get a free washer! Lowes no longer carries that product and she would order a new one, nor check other store. Even if lowes had another one they would delvier to my house as we picked it up so my husband must have damgaged it...R U KIDDING! It was in a unopended box! They only thing they would give me in exchange is my money back! So now I have a broken washer and a 1,500.00 bill that I have to pay for something I cant even use for my family! I now have been told I need to take my clothes to the laudry mat and wash them until we can get a new one!!!! I will make sure that my family & friends will NEVER Purchase anything from lowe's. I have seen 4 ppl in my family cut thier lowe's cards in 1/2!!! If they want to HIRE RUDE ppl and not STAND BEHIND thier items they should close there doors! There are several smaller companies that would love to peoples busniess! **Just contacted corp. office and they took my info and someone is to call me in 24 hours. still not sure how this helps my problem. I still have a LARGE bill that no one wants to take care, if the washer, 1/2 price my item, no responce to attempt to solve my issue and want me to EVER STEP FOOT in a LOWES again!!! I hope people READ THIS AND THINK TWICE BEFORE getting ANYTHING, even a paint brush from this company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recently decided to put new carpet in my whole house with my tax return. I went to the store located in Henderson, Ky 4 times and never even got acknowledgement that I was waiting for service. Once I even went to the front of the store to request assistance and still got no help. Yet i still, for some stupid reason, got my carpet from Lowes. My first mistake. I had to make 3 more trips to the store because they lost my carpet selection and then the estimate was figured wrong. When I pointed out to the manager of the department that his employees could use a little more training, he proceeded to argue with me and was rather hateful about the whole thing. Now today, 3 weeks later, I still dont have carpet that I have paid for in full. When contacting the manager again, he told me that the computer says my job is complete and that I already have my carpet installed. REALLY????? This is some of the worse service I have ever recieved. I just want my carpet that I have paid for and do not think that I will ever do business at this store again.I would think $3000.00 would be worth trying to keep the customer.
I love Lowes. The employees are extra helpful. The prices are a little high, but I've never had any major quality issues with any major appliances. One concern I have is that your latest commercial showing a young couple how to use tools is also showing your audience how to lift heavy bags with your knees, but it also shows the two men twisting their backs to load the bags into the truck. Twisting is very bad on the back.I've got a bad back and do not want to see anyone else hurt their back.
We purchased a washer from lowes in Columbus, MS and the gentlemen that delivered our washer just a few minutes ago was very helpful. I believe his name is Dereck. I just hope that he gets recognize for having great customer service because I know we great ly appreciated it. Sunday May 1, 2011
lowes is the last store that i will ever buy from because. we purched a roof plus gutters 10 15 2010 just got finished 4 26 2011. they have had my money 19'000.00 for all this time. roof is nailed on wrong. lowes has installers that knows nothing about roofing.every thing is wrong.plus i paid 35.00 for meashermemts for roof and windows and door . now they canot find any thing for windows or door;
I was blown away by the service we received from the appliance department of the South Point Lowes. My parents purchased a refrigerator 5 months ago that began to loose its cooling capacity on Easter sunday. After the repairmen determined that repair might take a few weeks, Justin, the store manager came thru for them and let them pick out a new refrigerator that was delivered the next morning. They were allowed to pick out a comparable refrigerator and even though the price of the replacement was $500 higher....they did not charge them a dime. Thank you Lowes!
I am a so call preferred customer of Lowe's. I visited the Tallahassee, Fl store on yesterday on 5500 Commonwealth Blvd; store # 0716 to purchase a dryer. I asked the the nice young man about discounts or promotions. He told me they had a 10% off promotion and also as my preferred customer Lowe's card states that I had in my hand I would get either 6 months deferred interest or 5% off. I asked again is that 10% your store purchase and my deferred interest or 5% off per my card. Yes, I was told again. So that made sense to me. The store have a 10% off promotion going plus as a preferred customer card holder I get my 5% or deferred 6 mos interest. Well, when I went to check out- they would not give me my 5% off as a preferred cardholder as the new sticker on my card stated. They suggest I take the deferred interest. I said I did not want that choice. I wanted the 5% off like my card said. I asked the guy if he was the manager he said no he was the head cashier but the manager is sitting right here. (meaning the manger was sitting right beside us) on the computer and WOULD NOT GET UP OR TRY TO HELP IN ANY WAY. IN FACT HE TOTALLY IGNORED US BOTH BACK AND FORTH DISCUSSING MY DISCOUNT. HIS NAME WAS WALLY (I guess Wallace) and he eventually just got up and walked off. These type managers does not need to be in customer service or they might not need a job if this is the way LOWE'S STAFF treat customers. I am signing off as a very disatisfied customer. Was this a gimmick just to get me in the store to buy then they change the rules. I might have been a little more understanding if Walley (the manager) had cared enough to try to help me or satisfy me in some way by adjusting the bill or explaining nicely to me why I could not get my 5% discount. I sign off today as "No Longer A Customer of Lowe's"
I feel horrible that so many of the Lowe's customers have such a bad experience. Every store has only a handful of great employees. The rest that fill the store have their okay days and their (always seemingly) horrible days. Lowe's needs to reprimand employees for such behavior to our guests because after all without the guests we would not have a job. I work at Lowe's and I do love working there but I have seen it myself of the employee's who are cold to guests. There isn't a need to treat anyone that way EVER! I wish I was multiplied lol so I could show everyone what customer service is really about. I try my best everyday to find a way to make the guests smile and laugh and have fun while in Lowe's. After all what's so miserable about building your home? It's YOUR home, and I feel like you should be just as excited to shop for your home while you shop at Lowe's. So on my own personal behalf I would like to apologize for all the rude and unforgiving employee's that have no business in retail. I apologize for the inconveniences and the frustration you feel when dealing with negative employee's or ones that lie to you just to make a sell. You customers (as I call guests) are not just dollar signs and you deserve the best treatment and respect by everyone!
I think it would be great to have a plant doctor or hospital on duty as long as the patient is not too big or messy. Keep a person on stand by to re-pot or give water and nurishment. Charge $5.00 to $10.00 per situation. Sounds crazy but a lot of my friends are crazy about their plants.
My husband and I have been into Lowes a couple of times and notice a pile of wood and doors and such. We asked the manager what was happening with these and they said being thrown away. We asked if we could take them or at least pay a small fee for them and they said no. They are told they cannot do that and it needs to be destroyed! Are you kidding me??? You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. Not only are you putting this stuff in our garbage but your wasting tons of trees and destroying things that people could put to good use. Shame on you! Oh ya and lets not forget the giving away a tree on earth day. Now that is funny! So you destroy trees..throw it away and then give one away? Wow that's what I say about that. Home Depot now has my 100% business!!!
Lowes sucks. Their customer service is non-existent. I had a refigerator delivered today, which included installation. Well I got totally jacked! The delivery guys (3PD) dismantled and removed my old fridge, brought in the new fridge, at which time I was informed that they had double parked the truck. And I asked what does this have to do with me? They said they could not afford to get a parking ticket and had to leave the fridge where it was, in my living room. In case you are not familar with NYC parking laws...double parking will get you a parkking ticket of $250.00.. Now I have this huge fridge sitting in my living room, and I'm pissed off to no end. I called the Lowes store where I purchased the applicance, and was told by the Asst. Mgr that they could get someone to my apt sometime tomorrow (Sat). Now the want to f up my weeknd.. no way. I called Corporate again and went ballisitic. They promised that they would have the Mgr call me asap.. I am still waiting. Buy you applicances from Home Depot, PC Richards or anyone else except Lowes. They use a third party delivery service, what a joke. Lowes does business with morons and leaves the cusomter to deal with this unnecessary drama. If I could give Loews at "0" instead of a "1", I would. The may have the best deals, but as a customer need to be aware that the best deal doesn't get you decent customer service. I will be on their ass until this is resolved.

I just came back from a disappointing experience at the Lowes located on Hicksville Rd. In Bethpage, NY. I am a Home Improvement Contractor that was pleased when Lowes opened this new store very close to my home. I have been a good customer there since the store opened about 2 years ago. All my previous business went to Home Depot which is about three times the distance from my house. Today I went in to purchase a Dewalt 10" table saw that was priced at $369.00. I always receive your $10.00 and $25.00 discount cards in the mail and use them on a regular basis. $10.00 off if you spend $50.00 and $25.00 off if you spend $250.00. So now I am spending $369.00 for an item, and asked a supervisor if he would apply not only the $25.00 card but also the $10.00 card because of the amount I was spending. He said no. I told him I am a Contractor that spends much money there and that if you combine the dollar amounts that apply to the discount cards, I am spending $70.00 more than that. He said only one card per item applies. I told him Home Depot is offering the same saw at $369.00 with 10% off which comes to the same amount if he would apply both discount cards. He still said no, so because of which I think is poor decision by management to keep a money spending, regular customer, I will now start giving my business back to Home Depot.
As a faithful customer at store#775 Temecula Ca, there's an employee named Rocky, for the most part he's very helpful. BUT, he does like to joke around making gay comments where obviously shouldnt be making. I'm a gay man and don't appreciate it. I approached management about this (Sara) a few days ago, explained that I was affended and serious action needs to be taken. Just recently, again I was in there shopping for much needed items. There's the same employee making gay jokes, both times it was'nt towards me but with another employee. I'm highly affended by this and something needs to happen to both the employee and the Manager Sara. This is harassment in every sense of the word. Lowes should be ashamed of themselves having employees carry on as such. I would expect nothing less from Lowes to terminate these two employees. This is a business, not a playground and professionalism should be a priority and to handle these delicate situations accordingly. Plain and simple, you never know who is around and listening. I hope I dont have to take this to another level.
i have purchased several items from lowes and spent several thousands of dollars but on this incidnet i was treated verrrrrrry unkindly. i purchased a microwave from you st robert mo store and wrote a check. lowes sent mea damaged microwave and a installer that could not do the job in the first place so i loaded the very heavy microwave and took it back to the store only to be told they could not give me my money back for 10 to 14 days. it was lowes fault i was returning the item i didn't just decide i didn't want the microwave the item was DAMAGED. i stopped payment on my check informed the manager i will never shop at lowes again and will tell anyone who will listen how wrong i was treated.

A couple visited the Lowes in Augusta, Ga on hwy 25 to purchase a riding lawn mower. While they were looking they discover a cat that was under some palates. The woman went to inquire about the animal and was told that they were having a problem with cats getting into the store and they had called an "exterminator" to take care of the situation. This came from the front desk and the people asking about the animal were from a rescue unit. Needless to say instead of leaving with a mower (3,000$) they left with a cat. I myself was about to purchase a riding lawn mower from the same Lowes. I guess I will find somewhere else to purchase my equipment from now on. People should think about what they are saying to customers because they have no idea who they may be speaking to. I am also a private rescue unit. That mistake was a $5,000 one.
If there was a zero, that's where Lowes would be. Hubby and I have made some major purchases from Lowes over the last 3 years, we have spent above 8,000 a year in that store. We purchased their non existing extended warranty on a 3000 refrigerator and during our move, we misplaced it and each person we talked to, put us off to someone else. Then we find out it will take them 7-10 business days to fax us a receipt for it. So we paid out of our pocket the money it took to fix our 3000 refrigerator and we can kiss the money we spent on the extended warranty good bye! We have made a lot of major purchases, hot water heater (which we had to take back as it was faulty), got another one, a freezer, washer, refrigerator plus all the wood it took us to build a deck and add a large privacy fence! All the big tools that I purchased for hubby for xmas and birthdays, not the little tools, the 800 and up tools. And Lowes has just lost another customer by the way it reads on this page. I told hubby if he ever went back to Lowes for anything, I'd see him in divorce court!!!! Lowes you can kiss my royal butt!
