While walking around a customer at Lowes my arm caught a metal price tag that was turned up and outward into the walk way .A brillant move by a corporate marketing egghead and a serious safety hazzard to everyone else.I have a bruse the size of a tennis ball from it.

I would like to say a big THANKS to Ray the store manager at the Lowes in Batava New York. We needed a power cord built for a meeting with a hospital the next morning. It was 6:00 PM and we first stopped at The Home Depot, while ther we were told by a worker he would get the guy incharge of eletric after waiting 15 minutes we ask the front desk where the guy was and was told he went to lunch leaving us high and dry. We left and went accross the street to your store. We inquired about the same matter and Ray took us to the supplies let us use some of his tools and showed us how to biuld what we needed. He was far better then great he was fabulous. Our meeting at the hospital we so great we will be putting in a michine in the near future. When I come back to install it I will stop by and thank Ray again. Home Depot should change their slogan from we can help to find it yourself. Sincerly Jim Steppe

I got paid by Lowes (on the clock) to do some work at my manager's home in NC. Corporate get's everything Anyway they want! Lowes pays for it!

lowes dose not give aveterans discount but home depot does all you have to do at home depot is show you vfw card or american legion and a picture id and receive a 10 percent discount

There are several contracted installers that are owed significant amounts of money, for jobs that are completed. Jobs they have done for lowes, time they have spent working, employees they have to pay!!this is terrible that this multi billion dollar makes money and cant pay the installers on time. You ask that they complete the work, turn in proper paper work, and then they are stuck playing a waiting game for money they are due. Rediculous and bad business. Who is on the installers side.

My mother bought a washer/dryer combo with Lowe's, it has never functioned properly since installation, Lowe's sent two repairmen from the store to fix it, the second time they came, they brough a new unit to swap it out, however they said they fixed it, and it should work now. Also we were told that these units always make noises when running. Lowe's then sent Southern Tire and Appliance out three times to fix the unit, however it sound like it will tear down the bathroom when on spin cycle, now Lowe's says since the warranty has run out, and the fact that they only actually fixed it twice, they can't help mom. They said that these units are known to make a small noise, a speeding locomotive is quiter, they will not help my mother at all. All this came about because my mother's house burned down, and she had to rebuild, Lowe's is upset that mom didn't buy all the building materials with them. When asked to quoate a bid, Lowe's wanted mom to give them $500 for the bid, we opted out of that idea, and went with the free bids, should mom be punished because we didn't want to pay $500? Should mom be punished because her house burned? Should mom be punished because the machine doesn't work, and has never since day one worked properly? Why should mom be punished?

So after watching Lowe's commercial stating that they can match "anything" even a huge teddy bear like in the commercial, I went to lowe's to match a color and the firts time I brought in a ceiling air vent cover. It's an average size and the lady told us that the sample was to big. We then brought in a chip of paint and this time some guy said it was too small. Both times they told me I had to have a quarter size. This is so rediculous. I do not think they can even match paint there, and the pretty little booth they have set up is just to satisfy corporate. Both times someone had to be called and made it seem like we were bothering them. I think they just didn't want to do it. I was very polite and if they want to offer paint service, why don't they get someone who has half a brain instead of "training" some random employee that doesn't give a **** because theyr'e making close to minimum wage. Sorry Lowe's but I'm going to Home Depot.

I recently had the pleasure of going to both home depot and lowes in seekonk ma. on the same day when i went to the home depot i was greeted at the enterance with a smile and directions to my destiation also every orange i passed gave me the same attention which made my visit quick and easy i was very happy with the service. Later in the day as usual i needed something else since lowes was a bit closer i figured i would stop there well every aisle i went down that had red aprins on which was at least two or more, where to involved with their personal conversatios to give me the time of day or even aknowledge my presence and there where plenty of aisles that this was going on in (at least four) then after i made my selections i proceeded to self check out so i would't have to bother any servic employees, low and behold there were two more emploees so engulfed ic their conversation that when i was about to place my items on the counter one of them had decided to lean on the counter, so i prceeded to a different check out one that had no red aprins in the area needless to say i'm not planning to go back. This pissed me off even more when i thought about how i applied at this store twice with out any call back, i'm a hard worker and was just looking for part time i have worked in the customer service industry and haven't been unemployed since i was a teenager, i have also recieved numerous emploee awards and couldn't figure out why these slackers are working there and i couldn't even get a response.

I have never had a problem with Lowes up until now! I had actually preferred shopping at Lowes verses any other store. Anyways, I had to get a custom patio door made ($1200.00) and a Lowes installer came out to measure ($50.00) to ensure the door would fit. Well, the door didn't fit. It was too big for the hole it was supposed to go in; we ended up having to cut out brick and in the process messed up my wall. It ended up costing me an extra $500 to get it installed (by a private contractor). I called and complained and they won't even give me back the $50.00 detail fee!!! On top of that.. if the guy didn't measure wrong.. I could have gotten a normal priced door instead of spending $1200.00 to get one custom made.

I am a investor who owns stock in the company.I do not wish to list my correct name as to avoid future explainations. My concern to Lowes corporation is the inventory levels are seriouly low.I have been in numerous stores and have noticed that entire bays of nothing on the shelf or discontinued junk in unrelated departments. This has been going on for months. Now Lowes posted a loss of 2 cents a share and blamed it on weather. The next day may 17th 2011 Home depot beat thier numbers by 1 cent a share.Same weather.I have no confendence in Lowes with 2 men Mr Stone and MR.Canter retiring.I am calling for the Firing of the Ceo of Lowes or I am selling My Lowes stock 15000 shares and will inform my fellow investors to do the same.Lowes is going in the wrong direction.

Why does Lowe's fire the BEST managers who walk its isles? how is it that every customer, every employee, every FRIEND of that customer and that employee are VERY satisfied with the Mngr and the way he/she handles situations and yet lowe's is not? Everyone makes mistakes; Termination does not have to be the way YOU show who is boss. Lowe's really ought to THINK. If we had wings on our backs and halos on our heads we wouldn't be humans and we would never makes mistakes. Keep in mind that when you terminate a great manager you terminate a GREAT deal of Respect and CUSTOMERS.

I love my job. Every time I go to work its like an adventure. I meet so many unique individuals and hear so many stories, I laugh with some and cry with some. Its my community away from my community. I been with Lowe's (s0509) for three years now. all my life I have had two employers; I choose a job and stick with it till every one of my buttons is pushed. I have my family at home and my family at work... it is very unfortunate that I hate the year 2011 at my Lowe's so far. I feel like store 509 has been through so much. An amazing zone manager terminated ( some deserve to be some don't), loss of an employee, our store managers retirement, and now another Amazing manager gone. what are we doing really? I feel like i am chocking when I walk into work. Sure I put my smile on and make sure all my customers leave 100% satisfaction when they walk away from Lowe's but really, big boys, what are you all doing to the family at 509? Customer focus, and customer satisfaction are the focal points which every employee is trained on. How can we satisfy anyone when all the great managers OUR CUSTOMERS have come to know and the employees have come to love and respect are being taken away? What explanation to do give to a customer who asks for a specific manager who has been terminated because he messed up ONCE. How do you get that regular customer to change their mind when they say, "well then, my business with Lowe's is terminated". Don't you know that a great deal of the our customers who walk in our doors appreciate it so much when they say faces they know and can share their stories with? like I said earlier, I love my job and the extraordinary encounters that have crossed my path. But how can our number one focus, OUR CUSTOMERS, be satisfied when the faces they ask to speak with are not there any more because of their poor judgment in one simple situation. Yes, this is YOUR company, but each store u have is unique in its own way- I don't like seeing our employees in tears because of our managers being terminated and I especially don't like seeing OUR CUSTOMERS being unhappy because the manager they have come to know so well will not be their to assist them in their needs. Robert Rawling. Craig O. Timothy Troyer., store 509 is not the same with out you. your Customers and your employees miss you. You all taught us to always make our customers our number one priority-- when our customers leave the store satisfied it is your doing. Thank you, for helping us be good associate to our customers and become friends rather than just one time acquaintances. Yours truely, A worried 509 associate.

I recently purchased $400.00 of ceramic tile as a home improvement project for my boyfriend and I to complete. Prior to installation, my boyfriend was laid off his job. It is not uncommon in these uncertain economic times, unfortunately, so the budget belt had to be tightened. I had to return the tile. When I purchased the tile there were employees tripping over themselves to help a poor woman try to get such a load to her vehicle. However, the same does not ring true for returns! I had to lug 13 cases of 12X12 Italian tile from my truck to the return desk, passing countless employees retrieving stray carts and talking on their cell phones, one even asked me what I was doing! I responded that I was trying to return all this stuff as I struggled past him at a snails pace, completely expecting him to offer assistance, instead he went back to loading 4 pieces of plywood for someone else! I am left to assume he thought I was actually trying to steal the tile and making a slow speed get away and hoping no one noticed!! Incredible! I am completely amazed at their lack of customer service and quite frankly, at their lack of common decency!! If I had my way, I'd much rather have a nice Italian ceramic tile floor in my sun room than 1/2 my household unemployed while these thoughtless idiots continue to cash a paycheck every week! In short, I think Home Depot might be a little more understanding of my situation and I'll be going there to get the tile and whatever else I may need in the future! So Lowes, thanks for nothin'!

buy where ever you want, but research and hire a professional contractor to install your products or learn to do it yourself. After 5 years now, it was down to the final door being delivered again, after I had to hire a professional contractor to correctly install it and all the new windows in our home. The door was delivered and was wrong yet again. I sent it back to the Foley, AL store in good faith, never contemplating they would not reorder the correct one or I would have had paperwork or kept the wrong door. WRONG! Everyone except the current GM was great to work with through the all these years of issues. I called one mgr to reassure all is ok, no worries, life is too short, and let me know if I need to do anything or when the correct door is in. Only to finally get her and be told she isn't supposed to talk to me, and to deal with the GM, who I thought was a nice guy I had dealt with, not the one who treated me horribly and was not ever supposed to have contact with me, as per my request! WRONG again! He is who I had to talk to and who finally refused to do anything and hung up on me. I called customer care immediately and have spoken with numerous agents, and supervisors, written the Pres. of Lowes, Mr. Niblock, an email pleading for his help, called their insurance Co. as directed, called the district mgr who had been extremely kind and helpful previously, and the Jeld-Wen rep I had to meet with to have it reordered in the first place. No reply or hope of the proper door being reordered, nor signs of care for this customer. I am not asking for restitution for the anguish, 100's of hours of my life wasted on this project, or anything other than ordering the proper door as per the Jeld-Wen Rep, Mr. Nance's, spec's and letting me know when to pick it up so I never have to deal with Lowes again. Why is it so hard to do the RIGHT thing?

the new commercial about NEW homeowner training is insulting to women!!!! Either THAT or Lowes simply isn't very smart!!! in the final scene the woman slides on her knees towards a leaky faucet under her sink...saying "righty-tighty" as she turns her wrnch to the LEFT....wow.

I want Lowes to recognize our Loss Prevention manager at Lowes 2548... Jason Coffey. I've worked for Lowes for 7 years and he is the first LP that has ever included the staff at Lowes. When I worked for Lowes in Ormond Beach, FL.. the LP could have hit me in the head and I wouldn't know who it was. I came to Lowes 2548 just before Jason Coffey left.. and another person took his place.. I can't even remember his name.. he no longer works for Lowes.. Jason came back to us and he has informed and trusted the people on the floor to help. He is wonderful!! Our store, because of Jason, has taken an active part in stopping theft by excellent customer service. He reminds everyone that even $1.00 recovered is a plus for Lowes. He constantly gives recognition to people who have made a RWD by posting "Awards".. I got my first RWD Award and everyone at 2548 wanted to know how it got the "Award".. I let them know that Jason acknowledged my "customer service" and I support him totally. Jason has taught us how to be excellent "customer service" people.. I personally have declared ToolWorld.. my World. Our theft rate is down dramatically. Dramatically is an understatement.. Jason and his guidence has brought our loses under 2% and is fantastic.. we are waiting the outcome for the quarter.. it will be the FIRST for a southern state.. in our distict and region!!! Sorry for rambling.. but what Jason has accomplished at 2548 is phenomenal.. Please let him know that he is appreciated.. respected and he has made a dramatic difference in our losses. And personally.. I respect the limits corporate puts on him but he works with our store 2548 and we work with him. Thank you Jason.. You are the best of the BEST.. Last ... Jason Coffey.. Thank you so much for being so involved with the people that work for Lowes 2548 and giving support and showing that you care. We support you and personally.. You have made me proud to be a Lowes 2548 employee. I can't

I walked in to the lowes in valencia or maybe santa clarita, Ca. Asked somebody "i heard you sell trailers" he pointed outside and said their right there. I went looked, came back, and i asked if he knows how much the large one is because it doesn't have a tag on it. He tried calling somebody to help me, 10 minutes later i asked him if anybody is gonna show up. He asked another person that worked there who he should call. There was a guy passing by and they asked him if he can help, he said ill be back, this guy Jesus came back about 2-3 minutes later. Jesus said i can not sell one but i can help you with questions, so we go outside again and look he doesnt find any tags either, Jesus tells me he is gonna go grab the book so we can find the sizes and the prices. Jesus left and i waited..... Waiting 10 15 20 minutes no one showed up, so i asked again, now they are trying to get another guy... i dont know if i did wrong but i thought this is enough; and i just walked out and ha ha ha nobody cared.

We bought a refrigerator this past Thursday and set up delivery for Saturday between 1-4pm. The delivery man called my husbands cellphone at 11:15 saying that he would be at our house in 10 minutes. My husband was at work and told the man that he could make it there in 30 min. The man was EXTREMELY rude and said "no, 10 minutes or we will have to deliver another day". I called Lowes and explained that we had a delivery time of 1-4 and that they tried to come at 11:15 and were very rude. Lowes called me back and said that he talked to dispatch and they would be arriving between 1-4pm. I took everything out of the old refrigerator and shut it off waiting for the new one to arrive shortly. At 4:23 I called Lowes back and they said the refrigerator had been returned to the store. I said I was coming back for a refund of our money. We went in to the store about 30 minutes later and spoke to the manager (Bob) that refunded our money with no problem. I explained to him that the delivery company that they had just lost them a $1,200 sale. He didn't even ATTEMPT to try to keep us as a customer. You have a CASH SALE and you let them walk out of your store without even trying to keep them????? I guess Lowes makes so much money that they don't need the sale!

Why does Lowe's not issue rain checks? Advertising bags of mulch at 4 bags for $10 seemed like a deal.......but the store had run out. Fine, but then issue rain checks.
