FOR WHEN I BOUGHT A NEW WASHER THERE LAST FRIDAY I WAS TOLD THAT SINCE MY HOSES WERE SO OLD THAT I NEEDED TO BUY NEW ONES.SO I DID ONLY TO FIND OUT WHEN THEY CAME TO HOOK IT UP THE DRAINAGE HOSE WAS TO SHORT SO I CALLED THE MANAGER AN GOT THE ASST MANAGER MATT. TOLD HIM THAT THE DRAINAGE HOSE WAS TO SHORT HE TOLD ME THAT WHEN I BOUGHT THE HOSES TO HOOK UP THE WASHER THAT THE DRAINAGE HOSE WAS NOT PART OF THE HOOK UP HOSES I SAID WHAT DO YOU MEAN I SAID WITH OUT THE DRAINAGE HOSE THE WATER WOULD GO ALL OVER THE FLOOR SO YOU NEED A DRAINAGE HOSE TO PROPERLY HOOK UP A WASHER. I TOLD HIM IN THAT'S THE CASE THE SALE PERSON SHOULD ASK THE CUSTOMER HOW LONG IS YOUR DRAINAGE HOSE. AN HE SHOULD TELL HIS SALE STAFF TO START ASKING THAT QUESTION WHEN SELLING WASHERS IN THE FUTURE HE TOLD ME STRAIGHT OUT IT'S NOT THE SALES PERSON JOB TO FIND THAT OUT. WITH HIS ATTITUDE I WANT BE GOING BACK TO THIS LOWES OR ANY OTHER LIKE A LOT OF CUSTOMERS I'LL BE DOING MY SHOPPING AT HOME DEPOT INSTEAD.AN LOWE'S WONDERS WHY HOME DEPOT IS BLOWING THEIR DOORS IN WITH SALES. AN TOLD ME THAT HE TOLD HIS SALE STAFF THAT IF THEY ARE SELLING A WASHER THAT FOR NOW ON MAKE SURE AN ASK ABOUT THE DRAINAGE HOSE AN TO MENTION TO THE DELIVERY DRIVERS TO BRING AN ADAPTER HOSE JUST IN CASE. SO LOWE'S YOU SHOULD BE PROUD TO HAVE SUCH AN UNDERSTANDING AN CARING ASST MANAGER LIKE MATT ON YOUR TEAM FOR IT'S THAT KIND OF ATTITUDE THAT WILL KEEP ME COMING BACK ONCE AGAIN MATT THANK YOU.

I ordered a screen door on the 22nd of June and it was to take 2 weeks, I called and they said it would be shipped one the 16th of July, I called again on the 21st of July and they said it was shipped on the 23 of July which hadn't even come yet. I said where the heck is my screen door, the reply was I don't really know. I said thats too bad because now I'm without a screen door because I already got rid of my old screen door and don't have the one I ordered. I was just left up in the air. Poor customer service and I will never shop there again! Won't be long they will be out of business.

Went to Lowes in Washington, MO on 7/6/12 and purchased a 10'x 10' storage building. Wrote a check for the full amount. The young man took my name & two phone numbers to contact me when the building arrived. I was told it would be approximately a week. After 2 weeks and no word from Lowes, I called and they informed me they had "no record" of this purchase, then said it was probably on "the truck". I took my receipt to the store and the employess that weren't "on break" said there was no record of the order being place, but that my check had been cashed. After a "discussion", I asked for my money back, took it and left the store. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, POOR EMPLOYEE BEHAVIOR, ALL AROUND HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!

my husband works for one of your stores. He claims it is the most mismanaged environment he's ever worked in. He tells me that the loss and prevention staff don't even try to catch people stealing and when customers return items ( that weren't even purchased at Lowe's) they don't ask any questions. One customer actually returned a brick inside of a drill box and was refunded. No one checked on what was inside or why it was being returned. And they wonder why they're losing money? I can see that customers at other stores are disappointed in the service they are receiving, well folks there is absolutely no incentive for the sales people to assist you. All of their commission money was taken away and there is no overtime allowed. So if you're in the middle of a transaction and your sales specialist is missing its because the company refuses to pay them one minute beyond their 39 hours and 59 minutes of service. And the shift hours that they work would cause anyone to go postal. My husband has to close the store many nights- leaving at midnight and then needing to get up at 4:30 the next morning to return at 6 am.He's exhausted all of the time. They do this odd scheduling so that no one gets any overtime. The store doesn't even supply anyone working there with a paper or pencil for them to use while working. He has to bring his own. Its really pitiful, that Lowe's runs these major campaigns and advertises all of the things you can do working with Lowe's well I'm sure if the employees weren't treated like dogs, they would be happy to spend the time and effort to help customers. I think the Lowe's CEO needs to be on undercover boss and see how his employees are really treated.

I've shopped at Lowe's for years. Partially because of their customer service and partially because of their strong support of the military. I went to the store that I've gone to for years recently and I was told that they would no longer give me a discount as a veteran unless I have a military ID. My driver's license has a veteran endorsement printed on the front of it. So basically what I was told was that because I'm not "disabled enough"... my eight years of service with an honorable discharge and 12% disability will no longer be recognized unless it's on a day like Memorial Day or Independence Day. The receipt says "Military Discount" not "Retired Military" or "Military Members of 30% or Greater Disability." If you're going to claim that you support the members of the U.S. Military... support them ALL THE WAY ~ not half-assed.

I have called today to find out if you had a slider window. It took me 5 calls to get anyone to give me an answer. I was hung up on 2x's, transferred and no one answering, finally had to call a supervisor, and then got the answer. I do not know what is up but WOW! Do I want to do business with Lowes? SC

Where do we start. Lets see if corporate will post this. Im a Lowes employee of course fighting to keep my job. Lowes has done it again big changes with no results. Hire a outside source to make decision which has cost them millions. College eduacted probaly never worked retail in there lives making decisions for the real people who run lowes the employees. North lake reset failure millions down the drain Mr Niblock have you forgotten Lowes is a company based on customer service, cutting staff worrying about connections takes away what Lowes has been always known for, shame on you. Trying to be amazon .com isnt the answer being the best hardware store in america is. People are going to want to come in put there hands on a sink a lamp lumber doors whatever there not shopping for a t shirt Mr Niblock. You've cut commissions cut employees so you can hire outside companies to make desicions for Lowes.Your running Lowes down. You have employees that bust there butts for Lowes and you keep taking and taking,pretty soon our jobs will be next. Maybe thats your plan get rid of the people who care hire a bunch of kids to run your stores, your customer service scores ought to sky rocket wow.....One piece of advice sir quit trying to be Home Depot Amazon.com whoever, and go back to being just LOWES.Laughing just realized this will get posted.

I had placed an order on Father's Day for an air compressor that was on sale.a few days later I relieved an Email that my order was being processed. Also in the email it stated that once an order has been processed the item will be received within 7-10 business days. After 20 days I contacted a customer service rep via phone only to find out my order was on back order.(would have been nice to have been informed earlier). Then the rep was so kind to make a note on my account and then she hung up on me. She didn't try to follow up or correct her mistake. Later that day I emailed the customer service department. Tory P. stated she would have someone contact me by phone within 24 hrs. A week later still no one contacted me. Again I sent an email and Tory stated I would hear from someone that day. And here it is a week later and no one has contacted me. Well in short I no longer want my air compressor nor am I going to pay for it. I see first hand how important the "Lowes" customers are to the company. HAHA!! Home Depot will now have 100% of my business even if I have to pay more for the items. I will also tell all my friends, Family, and colleagues of my experience and steer them away from Lowes also.

Having just spent over 15,000 dollars at the Hudson, Mass. Store, I had an extremely bad expirence getting the contract properly executed and the items installed in a timely manner. Lowes executes a contract that list a install manager. In my case it was a John Fitzgerald. NOT ONCE did this guy do the job he is being paid to do . When the problems were brought up to the store manager, Jeff Cumberlain I was given specific promises for which it sadly turned out to be an out right lie on his part. This man is completely dishonest and can not be trusted. I was planing a heating and air upgrade on my house with lowes but now will go else where. I also was forced to cancel two other contracts with lowes do to the mishandling.

Your store in West Chester Ohio (Cincinnati suburb) is just as bad as any listed on this post. No one answers the department phones, people do not keep their promises to call back, promised deliveries are missed and no one follows up. I am canceling 3 orders (> $10,000.00) because of Lowes indifferent and unresponsive customer service and reordering it all from Home Depot. Good thing I used my American Express card which will stand behind me and the cancellation. Since I know a senior buyer at your corporate office in Mooresville I will also make sure this post gets to corporate attention. I suspect that even then I will get no response it seems to simply be the way Lowes takes their business and patrons for granted. It does not surprise me at all that Lowes is losing market share to Home Depot et. al. Rich Larson

I do not know what else to do. I have explored all the options I know what to do. As an installer for Lowes their policy is to pay at the end of the job which is okay on smaller jobs. I am at the end of a month long job (4 weeks) to be exact. So we go for 4 weeks without any money coming into the household. Now my check gets lost in the mail so I call the installs office, the AIM is notified, and I have talked with payables in NC the main office. They all say sorry Lowes policy is that they will not take any action until the check is lost for 14 days than they will look into it. This will put me and my family with no money for 6 weeks. The only response I get is "Lowes policy is.............". What has happened to the human concern. How am I supposed to pay my bills, feed my family, and pay my helpers? Lowes you wonder why you can not keep high quality installers who know their trade like the back of their hand? Maybe you should read this again. This involves Lindale Texas store #1965

This is a very desperate company doing anything it can to stay in bussiness at the expense of all the hard working emplyees they are entirely fabricating whatever neccesary means to get rid of employees. As a customer it only can go one way from here and thats staight down. Home Depot has my bussines because they have employees to help on the floor. Never in the past 4 months that I have shopped at Lowes has there been anyone to help me. Sell your Lowes stock before its too late......

the right color,I also wanted to return one that was not right,the paint guy was polite he said their color machine was broken and it might be a couple of hours ok he said i would have to talk to the manager about my return,that is when i met the most rudest manager in my 65 years,I told him i was Canadian but my wife purchased this in the USA that did not matter to him we must have bought it in Canada,Then he said a lot of nasty things to me and was going to bar me from His store,I did go back only because i had asked the paint guy to special mix over 200.00$ worth of paint.The manager was right while i was waiting for my paint i went to home depot that is where my wife bought the same paint only with a different color lablel so you could tell the nasty manager 2nd in command we did buy in the usa just the wrong store,and if i had my way i would bar him from the store. We had a deck built by Lowe's at the Marysville, OH store. What was supposed to be a two week deck build is now going on 3 months. We were lied to countless times about materials being in at the store and install dates and over and over no one showed up. It took countless phone calls on our part to get this project finished, and now the "finished" project is riddled with problems that Lowe's hasn't fixed. We have spoken to Lowe's Corporate and still haven't received any compensation for what we've gone through, and we have yet to sign a "Certificate of Completion" for our deck because the problems still haven't been addressed. What a nightmare! Think twice before going to Lowe's!

I understand where everyone is coming from now. Like most of you, I have been a customer of lowes for years. But, today the boat was tipped over so to speak. Went to buy a filtler for a water purifier a week ago, lowes doesn't stock these items anymore. A manager said I would have to order on line after an employee said lowes would have to order it up front. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Now, over the phone they tell me the part # is different and they don't know if they can get it or not, for me to bring the old filter to the store. What a bummer, who wants to turn the water off, take the filter out and wait for hours for them to look at the filter, have to order it, replace the old filter and wait for the new one and then replace the filter. Guess I'll just go to Home Depot and get a new sink and take the old water purifier to the delivery door at Lowes and leave it. Is there a 1/2 star rating??? Oh, by the way, I called to commplain and the complaint dept called the store to try to avoid a complaint.
