I was at 2 different lowes this Weekend 8-18-12. We were in the toilet area and stood there for 45 min with no one coming to help us out. We even went looking. There were 3 other couples there and we just all ended up joking around and talking wonder how long 3 customers would stand around before some one came up. No one did and this was at two different stores! There were plenty of staff up front at the registures to check you out, they were all talking and joking about also. Go Fig. Now I see why the stock is soaring down..Just fair we also went to the local HD and waited there with another customer. We had to go get help there as well but we did find some one, even though he was not the most knowlagedable, on what was in the market. Sad with all the people that are looking for jobs you can not find people that know how to help.. I'm buying on line or from a plummer. May pay more but I will have his attention. I can't believe some of the comments I just read, must be living in the wrong area because the Lowe's closest to my home is absolutely, positively the best. ALL of the employees have been extremely helpful to whatever question I have. They are always willing to help locate or suggest what is the best to be used. This store, located in Pembroke, Massachusetts, have everything needed. I have just purchased a washer and dryer, delivered the next day and installed, old ones taken away. I have purchased many different items for the backyard, grill, firepit, benches, articles for the pool and pond which gave me no problems BUT I purchased a hammock, couldn't have it put together only have a small car, do it myself. NEXT JOKE---I guess I couldn't follow directions. I called the store to complain that there were missing parts and this couldn't be put together correctly, yelled and didn't talk nice. The assistant manager, Jon Leautourno, was extremely cordial and fixed MY problem. A truck picked up the parts the next day, I sent it back without instructions :), and returned it comepleted the next day. Parts weren't missing I did it the WRONG way. Thanks to Lowes in Pembroke MA I have enjoyed my hammock all summer long.

I have spent tho$ at lowes in palestine getting a military discount.I picked out a celing fan took it to ck outshoued my military id (4 years active 3 years inactive in far east.the man said that would't cut it anymore, pointed to poster above counter it says you have to be active dis retired or resurve.(wonder hou much time he served)at this point I'm conserding takeing it back an buying it somewhere else.I can pay the same price localy and the money will stay here.

I went to the dubois,pa store and bought a new washer and dryer the day before delivery they called to confirm that i would be home and was the time still great to show up awesome things were going great WRONG they called back an hour later and said we just sold the washer you just bought and were sorry but you have to wait now until another one comes in this is totally unexceptable i will not ever shop in your store again thanks for nothing ( don't all to complain they just put you on hold)

i've had a commercial acct. with lowes for years, but i have torn up my card. we here in eastern kentucky are getting the vietnam veterans wall labor day weekend. so we wanted to put american flags alone the streets. being a commercial contractor in the area i went to the area business and asked for the material to do this with. 84 lumber in ashland, ky. gave me enough flag poles and re-bar to do 50 flags and re-bar to do 100 stakes. the stores i deal with are lowes in ashland and paintsville, ky.,. the one in paintsville would not give one flag and the one in asland gave me 3 ( 15.00 ) i hope that didn't break. lowes is supposed to be one of the most veteran friendly companys in the country, but i guess thats just for t.v.,. i support companys that support veterans and this country. lowes does not. shame on them.

Sorry Lowes; but after spending over 10,000 over the last several years at your company, you finally lost me as a customer. I thought your policy was to insure "CUSTOMER SATISFACTION". Will I was pretty satisfied until recently when I had problems with a refrigerator I purchased along with all other kitchen appliances. The refrigerator had to be repaired four times within the first eight months. The service man finally told me there was nothing he could do to repair it and to call Frigidaire. I called them and they authorized the exchange. Took the authorization # to Lowes and they agreed to exchange it for a model that had a stage ll ice-maker. Well, that is when the problem started. They did not have anything on the floor with a stage ll ice maker. All they had were refrigerators with the same ice maker that everyone has been having problems with. They told me to keep checking every couple weeks since they were to get the refrigerators with the new/less problematic ice makers in. After six months, still nothing. By now the second ice maker has also failed and the door water dispenser has quit working. They offered to exchange it with a similar refrigerator which cost more and I would have to pay the difference. They were willing to take 10% off for my troubles though. I told them to either get me a similar refrigerator at the same price or refund my money so I could go purchase one as Sears. Sears has always been good and I have never had any problems with them. Lesson learned, buy at Sears from now on.

walked into the statesboro ga location an employee her name was vanessa and a few others I remember her because she was cursing and carrying on me and my wife couldnt believe it she still works there to this day spoke with store manager still nothing done. Lowes has lost reality

Went in to buy a water heater with the understanding I would receive a 10% discount for my service to our country 1964/1968 U.S.Navy I presented my DD214 to the clerk he said he needed to check with the manager MATT T.The DD214 is my discharge papers with my identification. The manager said that that wasn't good enougt he needed a photo ID and would not give me a discount.I found out about the discount when standing in line a week earler at the project desk looking to build a deck. When a gentelman came up and said I don't have my ID can i still get the vets discount The answer was no problem so you can imagine how shock i was when I was turned down with ID.I ask the young manager if he had ever heard of Viet Nam and wanted to know if he would like to at least thank me for my service no response!!!!!Had my whole house carpeted and painted by Lowesi

I wasn't even doing business with Lowe's and had a bad experience! A house in the "neighborhood" that I live in hired this place to do the work; a truck with the company was aimlessly driving around the neighborhood (like thieves do when they're casing houses to rob)and stopped in front of the house and sat there! The mentally unstable (he provided the evidence!)whack job did a GOOD job of making sure that I will NOT be doing business with Lowe's ever again!

I have no words...Wait yes I do...The worst...I will never ever use these people again..I have been without my range top since July..Wrong counter, wrong end to counter (twice)...no gas top to my range.....waiting,waiting,waiting~~~countless phone and trips to Lowes here in Hemet Ca....It took 4 days for Range and hood..not bad..but for burnner covers 10 days and counting....

(5) Stars to the Toms River, NJ Store :)(-5) :( for the Woodbridge, NJ Store. My husband and I purchased tile from the Brick, NJ store. Our only difficulty there was finding someone in the deserted store to help us with our questions. When we did find a store rep (sorry didnt get his name) he was wonderful and answered all of our questions. The decorative tile that we purchased were on clearance and there were only 4 tiles left, we bought all of them. When we got home, we needed 4 more. I called the Toms River, NJ store. I first spoke to Jose. He was wonderful, he couldnt help me more. Not only did he check the computer, but he walked thru the store just to confirm that they were out of stock. He checked the computer and informed me that the Woodbridge Store had "4". Calling Woodbridge was the biggest mistake I could ever make. Before I could even get the rest of item number out to the sale person (Delfia) she said we dont have any more. I didnt believe her and called back to speak to the manager, and got the same girl again. I asked again for the manager she gave me to Sean, who refused to give me his last name. Now I ask you, this is customer service not from Woodbridge. Woodbridge Lowes sucks. After all this I contacted Corporate, still waiting for them to call me back re: the tile I need. So I called Toms River back and spoke to Dean, another asset to the Toms River, NJ store. He politely asked to call me back when he was finished with a customer. He auctually did and took the time to listen to what I needed. He asked me to let him call me back after he called a few stores he thought may have them. Really outstanding service from the team members in Toms River. Take the drive to Toms River. Thankfully Bridget Wood Bayville, NJ

If I could I would give a zero stars rating! On 8/6 I took a portable ac vent into the Lakewood, WA store to have a piece of wood cut. After the employee Bret cut the wood he took the vent and attempted to insert the wood and snapped the vent making it unusable. He then took me to the adhesive area to sell me some expoxy so I can fix the item he broke. 2 1/2 hours later the store manager finaly shows up, after I ask for the corp #, and says "I dont the sell that item in my store. If I will go research the product and purchase a new one then bring him the reciept he will give me the money back." I told him Bret has already done the research while we waited on him & its only sold with the ac @ $329. We had called the manufacturer and got the same answer. I was also charged for the wood and declined a military discount! So now it is the consumer who is now having to buy a 2nd ac to get the part. This part is broken & cannot be returned. Calling the corporte headquarters gave no help and directed me to call the store where the problem occured and arrange a soultion. So today along with this I file a complaint with the BB , and attorney generals office. I have also contacted the Local TV fox 13 to see if they want to do a story and see if they can afford all the negative publicity. Signed, 1 pissed off Vetteran.

Ok, I have a question for you? If it's 95-105 outside, would you rather ride in a delivery truck with a/c or without? I bet you said, "With!" I'm writing on behalf of those poor delivery guys who work from 8 in the morning until whenever the jobs are done. They heave heavy stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc., up long, steep flights of stairs(with small landings and turns). They smile and are very polite, make small talk and generally make sure our experience with Lowe's is a success. After all, they have to get it to us!That's the last step in the buying process. Let's hear it for the working man! Now, if a truck has a/c in it and it's been broken down for a few (WEEKS),Somebody isn't doing their job! Either the people they told have pushed it to the back shelf or Corporate is ignoring them. I know it costs money to repair it, but would you like to ride in that truck with them all day and sweat and suffer heat exhaustion AND pick up those heavy appliances like they do? I think not! That a/c helps restore those guys between stops. Let's give a shout out to those delivery guys and give them credit where credit's due! Here's to the two guys who delivered my frige from the All,OH.store in a faulty truck! You were so kind and helpful and kept smiling and answering my questions! My stairs were a "Bear", but you two were exceptional! "God Bless You!" P.S. I love Lowe's in general. But,take care of your trucks&staff! 'Nuff said? Thank You!

Wow! Never knew there were so many major complaints! That being said, I went to Lowes in Harriman, TN yesterday to get composite deck boards I paid for online bur, I needed them cut in half to fit in my Rav. WHO would have thought to call and see if the SAW WORKED! It is Lowe's, right?? And you do sell power tools, so that is quite the oxymoron! Plus, the staff tells me when it does work, it tears edges up on boards! REALLY??? Then I needed a 3/4 inch foam board cut in half. My husband was with the week prior and had one cut in quarters. So, first guy I ask says he can't his blade is too dull...next guy doesn't have a blade and the 3rd gives it to a young kid. Nothing against the kid but he cut it way unevene and tried to snap it in half! It was a mess! The woman working barely gave me the time of day!! I was tring to see if the deck boards fit in my car. She walked away! A man came up next and was more helpful. However, the poor kid was upset as he never cut a foam board before! I opted to take it if they took money off. The guy was ringing it up as damaged while asking a second woman how when the first ignoramous saysWell, she wanted it cut!" i replied "Yes, and it was done last werk no problem!" they gave me money off and said "Next time you have to cut it yourself." Now how many women go in there with tools to do it themselves? If you can cut wood for people...when your saw works, why can't you cut a foam board??? My husband was so mad as we spend a lot there!!! He has never cared for Lowes as they don't carry the things he needs like Home Depot does. Once I tell him about the rest of the problems on here he will want to cancel the card and never go back. Once I tell everyone I can think of as I work with thousands of people a year, maybe they won't go there either! Obviously Lowe's is doing so well, they don't need our business!!! If you shop there and need something cut, just remember to "take your own power saw and blades!!!!" i think we will pay off the card and go to Home Depot as it is just as far! Thanks Lowe's for nothing!!

On 8/2/12 I went to my local Lowes in Monaca, PA, where the flooring guys, Ed mostly, are fantastic. I'm tiling right now for the first time and the help they've given is fantastic. Unfortunately this time I went to get some tile cut but the machine was down. The next closest home improvement store is a Home Depot about 10 miles away. I went there to see if they could cut the tile. They rudely refused stating they wouldn't because it was from your store even though I offered to pay them for the service. So I left there unhappy. Keep in mind I am using my vacation time to get this project done and this is day 4 and almost finished. So on 8/3/12 (day 5) I drove to your Cranberry, PA store and arrived at 8:10am so I could get this job done. I met Lori in the flooring dept. she was the only one in the dept. at the time and very busy getting contractors orders ready. Even though I could she was overwhelmed, and I had about 20 cuts to make, she gladly offered to cut the tile for me knowing I really needed to get this finished. After giving me a few more tips on my project and finishing the tile pretty quickly, I tried to give her a $10 tip but she refused with a smile on her face thanking ME for coming in. As a store manager in retail myself, I can see you have real assets in both of these stores! Luckily for you they are outside my vicinity or I'd be trying to recruit them myself ! PLEASE pass this compliment to both stores!

"I have done business with Lowes for years and have their credit card, or I should say did have since I cut it up this morning! They sent me a bill which I paid online through my bank, and I have copies where the bank took care of it. Now they are calling me through their payment center (Ge Bank) and saying they did not get it and have added big late fees and interest fees. I have had to deal with these people who can't speak English and of course just want to collect the money ( which I already sent) so they don't care. Now when I called my local Lowes store this morning, they would not give me a phone number of the corportate offices to complain. But after reading a lot of your comments, I don't think it would do any good anyway....so I will be a Home Depot customer from now on, even though I will have to drive farther, like some of you we have bought washer and dryer, refrigerator, windows, tools and lots of other stuff." Ruby- to resolve this issue all you have to do is go into your local lowes store and the customer service associate and head cashier could have solved this issue for you. There has been several instances where this has occured if you paid your bill online or through the mail. An associate could have easily called Lowes consumer credit card number for you and have gotten the interest and late fees taken off for you. GE money bank is really easy going in misunderstandings and lets alot of things slide if you make the effort of resolving the issue instead of just brushing it off and cutting up your card-- as any major bank or creditor is. The best bet is to go into a store and pay your bill right there in person, so you get a payment reciept from the associate. Calling and asking for a corporate phone number will only send a complaint to your local store when in fact it wasnt their fault. Then the store management will call you on GE money banks behalf and resolve the conflict for you. It saves a lot of time and grief on your part just to go in the store yourself and complain. Be courteous to the associates when you talk to them as well, because yelling at someone who is just hearing about your issue and trying to deliever satisfaction to you will not help your situation at all.

WHAT HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE??? I bought a fence from Lowes September 17, 2011. They told me 2 weeks to get material 3 days to install! I spent 7000.00 on this fence. (also bought a washer & dryer & carpeting ) it still isn't fixed! They got the fence up but it was December or January before my gates were installed. That's more than 3 days on my calendar. They didn't order the right amount of material & someone let it slip out when I called the material they previously had they used on another job so they were back to waiting on material again. In the mean time I call corporate feeling sure that they will get the matter straightened out. I was told they would email the store where I bought it, but I should call them back & keep them posted! WRONG! I had to wait on hold for an hour to get thru the first time. By her telling me to keep them posted tells me that Lowes does not care about their customers. They should be calling me to find out if things were fixed! Remember when I bought my fence? Still waiting on someone to come out & fix my gates! DO NOT BUY A FENCE FROM LOWES IN MURFREESBORO TN! I was a faithful Lowes customer, but not anymore. Home Depot has my loyalty now. What is happening to the values & pride in doing what is right for the customer?

07/26/2012 I live in Wilmington NC. 2010 I purchased a 8000 BTU air conditioner with the extended warranty for 4 yrs.A repair person was sent out on Monday 7/23/12 and he said that it was not repairable and I have been going rounds with these people since Monday with the extended warranty division on the making a decision on one of the products they sell as to what they are going to do. What good is the extended warranty when they say it is not repairable and they have to decide on what to do. In the meanwhile you are being inconvienced with 105 degree temperature and a senior citizen at that.

My husband and I are building a garage (approx $30K) and went into Lowe's as they offer a discount to military veterans. However, the discount is only good if you have a veteran's ID card. Since my husband was never injured and has always been in good health, he has no ID card, only his DD214 papers. He took those in and was told that this was unacceptable. sorry Lowe's.............you just lost a lot of business. This is thanks that a veteran gets for serving his country?? Hello Home Depot, we are ready to shop!
