Well, I'll try leaving a note here regarding Lane Bryant in hopes that someone at Corporate is reading this blog. I'll make the call as well, but hope others will see this and add their opinions. Lane Bryant store in Tracy, CA closed down, not suprising as the selection of merchandise they chose to carry in our store was less than exciting. A 45 minute drive to a larger city and selection was lovely. Lane Bryant outlet in Tracy is a big HOT MESS!! Crowded, and talk about cheap imported crap! T-shirt style this season were 'fitted' and shorter...just what every big girl wants. Whose buying for Lane Bryant or sending this crap our way. Lane Bryant, you can do better. Shape up our store, move to the empty store next door, improve store asthetics/merchandising and product...maybe you need some big girls to do your buying. Never saw a fat girl in a sleeveless top that looked attractive~
This is in response to Mrs. Jackson. I'm not an employee of Lane Bryant, and this isn't a Lane Bryant website, so I doubt you will get a response from them on here. However, just to offer an opinion...I understand where you are coming from but, unfortunately most retail clothing places are not in the business of bartering prices with customers, which is essentially what you are trying to do. It seems that you DO understand that the online store is different than the physical store, yet you DON'T understand they do not act in the same capacity. I've worked as a manager at Lane Bryant and you can't just change the price of an item because a customer doesn't want to pay the price it is. Discounts come up automatically and manual discounts have to be explained or the associate can get in a lot of trouble. I guess if it were me, I would see if I had a coupon you could use, just to try to save you the money, but maybe that's not how they do things there. If you want to contact Lane Bryant, try their website www.lanebryant.com
May 18, 2010 On today I spoke with a Dudley in your customer service department regarding a dress from your ICON collection that was listed online for $69.99. I've been watching this dress and waiting for it to go on sale. On yesterday, 5/17, I was inside the store located @ 63 W. County Center here in Saint Louis and noticed the dress was reduced however it was $89.99, $20 more than the reduced price online. This puzzled me. Most times online prices differ from the stores due to higher demand of a product, unavailability in stores on a product,or for the simple convienience of persons that can't get out as much to shop. I spoke with Terry who says she's a supervisor for the call center, with a very unprofessional and un-ernergized demeanor who basically said the same thing, they can't offer me the online price in the store and they can't convince the store manager to offer the price at the online price either. I then called Amanda, the store manager, she was polite, but could also offer NO help. My question is what's the big deal on discounting something you have in the store by $20, versus losing the entire deal and losing possibly a customer. I've spent over $200 in the last two months at your store, check me @ : milliondollarbaby79@yahoo.com. This is very frustrating, but a prompt reply would be great! Please reply to; milliondollarbaby79@yahoo.com or you could even call nme @ 314-814-6412. Thanks!
I shop a lot at Lane Bryant in new Hartford Ny,,,I I have had several issues with the manager that works there... They were only minor issues ( having to exchange items to due to buttons falling of, zippers breaking, little things) until two weeks ago... I have been trying to call corporate office but no one calls back... They say they issued me a gift card but hello.... after what happened 2 weeks ago I don't want to go there anymore and they won't call back to hear what happened...so here it is... This manager only gave me one other major issue in the past and it was when the pants I just bout the zipper broke...anyhow 2 weeks ago I bout 4 pairs of shoes.... i brought them home .. and 2 of the pairs just didn't work for me..they had a strap on the back and were to loose...this was on the 25th of april- on the 27th of april i went back to the store to exchange them... they did have a couple cat hairs form when i tried them on but they were not dirty.. I had all the strings and tags still on them... the cashier was helping me and the manager rudely came over with a pencil and picked the shoes up by the strap with the pencil and threw them across to another table being very rude saying they can't sell these anymore.... I asked the cashier what her problem was and she just shrugged her shoulders and told me that since issued a coupon i would need to exchange for the equal amount of items... i said no problem and went looking around... next thing i know the manager came up to me and was raising her voice to me and yelling about the shoes and how some people may be allergic to cats and how dare i bring them back dirty... and so on and so on... I was so embarrassed.,.. they were not dirty .. I just bought them and put them right back in the bag after I tried them at home and walked across the living room rug for about 2 minutes...I hurried up picked out things that equal the amount without even trying them on and left...nothing for nothing I cant handle strong perfumes but that's the chance I take when i go try clothes on... I did ask her if she wanted to take all the clothes I tried on Tuesday and throw them out because they may have a cat hair on them... that is when she became even more irate and raised her voice louder. Turns out a manager from a sister store went shopping there and was treated poorly from her to... I have spent my last penny there... I have now become afraid to go in there as if she is there I do not want to be yelled at anymore...especially in front of the other customers... how belittling she was to me and if they want my business again and not want to lose anyone else I suggest they get rid of this manager...she has no right working with the public with that attitude!!!!!!!
I went to the Lane Bryant store today, May 5, at Barton Creek Mall in Austin, TX at 11:30 am to purchase a $300 giftcard. When I walked into the store, a young lady greeted me and asked if I needed help. I told her that I wanted to purchase a giftcard and I proceeded to the counter. She was on a phone call (on the floor) so she didn't immediately come to the register. I assumed it was a customer call so I was patient. When she finally got to the register area, she turned her back to me and continued her conversation. It is then that I realized it was a personal call. She was talking about classes she was taking and what time she would get there, etc. I waited for another 3-4 minutes and then I walked out extremely annoyed. I know that she saw me walking out, yet she didn't bother to say anything. Needless to say, I went to Dillards to purchase my giftcard. Her behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated by me and should not be tolerated by anyone. There's no telling how much money she has costs this company!
I would like to state I love your product and clothes and the service is for the most part good. Except when it comes to the credit card customer service reps. I was trying to explain a particular situation I was having with payment issues. I got told 3 different things and 2 times told it was being noted in my file. However it never got noted and the information I was given was not right. I asked to speak to a supervisor and in the middle of my explanation he hung up on me. That is when I came here to post what happened. I'm sorry but I am very much considering not shopping with this corporation again. I am very pissed that I got hung up on while I was simple trying to explain all the wrong information I got 3 times! I'm cutting up my card and shopping else where.
