gentlemen, i shopped in the king of prussia mall last night and was waited on by ashley m. i want to compliment her for being so helpful. this girl was very nice and patient. she went out of her way and really made a difference. she is definetly a 5 star employee.
Took my Grandaughter Alyssa to Lane Bryant Store Mayfield Heights, Oh This was my second time. We lost Alyssa's Mom and I have bad legs, and need a walker. Taking her shopping is really hard for me. Both times "Becky" Store Manager went our of her way to help us. today, she went and picked up clothes for Alyssa to try. If she did not like them or if they were too small, Becky was on the hunt for other things. We spent $118.00. Our trip turned out to be wonderful for both of us. I just wish there were sales people like Becky. I must tell you I was Mayor in our Beautiful city for 12 years, and had I met Becky prior, I would offered her a job in our city hall. She has a real knack for people. Also, she does 'SERVICE'.... She is to be commended. Please keep her and try to hire others like her. Thanks for a wonderful day and shopping trip with my Grandaughter. God Bless. God Bless our wonderful Nation too.
I have been shopping at Lane Bryant for over ten years and today I had the worst experience I have ever had in the store at Cary Town Center in North Carolina. I brought back a shirt that had a whole in it. It had only been washed once and it looked like the seem was just seen poorly. When I first went in there the lady that helped me was very nice. She tried to find me a replacement but since it was on Clarence hey didn have one in my size. I continued to look around and found a dress to exchange the shirt for. When I went up to the counter the helpful girl was clicking out and so she called the other associate to come up and do the exchange. The other associate did not come up but she was not doing anything. When the first girl came out she apologized and went and physically told the other associate that I was ready and she slowly walked towards me. She the. Told me because I didn't have the receipt I would get the lowest sale price which should have been $19.99 but since "I might have used a coupon" I could only get $10.00 for the shirt. I told her they still has the shirt just in the wrong size for the $19.99 but she said that she doesn't know what I paid for he shirt because I did t have the receipt. I would have been ok with getting the lower credit if the store would have marked down the shirt or even if the lady would have been the least bit cordial but she was rude and slow. This is not my first time dealing with this associate and she has always been rude. Plus sized people have enough problems shopping as it is, so when I go into a store and feel like I am a burden it makes me not want to shop and when I don't shop your company doesn't make money.
WHAT A PATHETIC LITTLE GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS! I spent over $300 dollars in your Natick MA store last night and I go back this morning to buy more clothes and use the real women dollars I "earned" THE NIGHT before and they refused to accept the coupons. Well, guess what? As soon as I am done with this review, all that merchandise I bought last night is going right back to where it came from. That's over $300 back in my pocket and not yours. Learn how to treat your customers! Oh, and just an FYI, if any of my employees pulled a little trick like this with one of my customers...that person would be looking for work by days out.
I called your Lane Bryant store in Carrollton, Tx. looking for a swimsuit. I spoke to your employee named Linice. She was extremely helpful even though she said her store didn't carry swimsuits. I appreciate the time she spent with me on the phone. She saved me from driving a considerable distance only to find that I wouldn't be able to purchace what I needed. Thank you Linice and thank you Lane Bryant.
At the beginning of March 2012 I went to the Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, Wa bought a few hundreds of dollars worth of shirts and bras and panties. The manager Michelle got me a room to try everything on in and so I did. However nothing I brought in fit...I have gained a lot of weight. And when I asked for bigger sizes she huffed every time so I started to get my own. Then I got locked out of the room and had to ask to be let back in which she huffed some more. Still I was excited to be clothes shopping so I over looked it. Plus due to my size I don't have that many options. However after wearing 2 of the bras I found out they don't fit right so I went back. I didn't have a reciept but the bras were still hanging up so the numbers needed were close to the register. Michelle the store manager again assisted me with the most contentment I have ever seen. She made me feel like I stole something and was trying to get it over on her. Which she told me by saying "How do I know which deal you bought these at?" and "I will take a loss but to keep you happy I guess I'll do it." I am so upset I will never shop Lane Bryant again. I may not be the richest customer but I don't have to put up with this behavior from her or anyone. I get asked where I shop often since I am bigger and young but from now on I won't say Lane Bryant. I only wish they'd read any of these complaints.
WoW!!! You closed the West palm Beach City Place store??? I would travel from the middle of the state to go to this store when i visited family there. I was always treated kindly and with a friendly greeting by store employees. I feel so sorry for these girls because they arent going to be placed anywhere else. What a shame! Its so hard to find good employees and they said they are just being let go. The other stores are not friendly at all! So sorry for them!!! Sincerely, a loyal customer
I have always been impressed with the customer service at the Lane Bryant store in Cool Spring mall in Franklin TN. That is untill recently. I am a regular customer of Lane Bryants and probably spend an average of $200 a month in that store. Recently I ordered a swimsuit online from one of their partner stores. I charged it to my Lane Bryant account. I needed this swimsuit for a vaction that was coming up and ordered it in plenty of time. I waited and waited for the email that would tell me that my swimsuit had arrived at the store. I thought I was being smart saving on shipping by having it go to the store. I was to leave on my trip on ril 1st. On March3 1st I went into the store and asked if it had arrived. I was told no, so I bought a bathing suit at the store. Several weeks passed and I never heard about my swimsuit, so I assumed it was backordered or something. At this point I did not need it, since I had purchased another one. The swimsuit charged showed up on my Lane Bryant Card. I went into the store and asked about it, the girl at the counter went to the back and brought it out. I was then told that they had forgot to check the PO room in the mall for a couple of weeks. I asked her since this seemed to be their mistake that would they send it back for me. I was then informed that it was against their policy to ship back products from their partner stores. Assuming I would get help fromt he corporate office I then called them only to be informed that the store would have to ship it back and that I was over my 30 days that I had to send the swimsuit back. I also learned that the bathing suit had arrived at the mall on March 28th, 3 days before I went in and asked for it. I then contact the store again, and thought surely I would get some help with this. The bottom line was that they had made a mistake and now would not ship the bathing suit back. Now I know that it is not their company policy but THEY MADE A MISTAKE TELLING ME IT WAS NOT THERE, AND I HAD TO PURCHASE ANOTHER SUIT. Well no help at the store, I even said to the manager I could not believe she would lose $200 a month for a $50 bathing suit. She just keep repeating the policy. That is not good customer service! What ever happened to bending over backward for the customer. My thought is this. THEY DONT CARE!!!!!!!!!!! I have tore up my Lane Bryant credit card and will never shop there again.
Never again will I shop with this company. I did some online shopping for my mother because im currently deployed in Afghanistan. It was her birthday and I wanted her to have some really nice clothes. I ordered everything and I was extremely excited for her to receive them. Well that was nearly 3 weeks ago. And She's just now receiving 1 box. Let alone they put the wrong size in there. And the other box they left it at the porch and it got stolen. Horrible service! I can't believe they would just leave the box there unattended especially if it's an apartment complex! NEVER AGAIN
i went to the lane bryant in joliet ,il mall, and found the perfect dress for my daughters up coming wedding. I asked the manager to hold the dress until the next day,so i could contact my mother in houston,tx who was paying for the dress.(she did)however, upon returning the next day,i attempted to charge it on my mothers card,(which i had her permission, and her phone to confirm it)and she not only refused to do it,but loudly told me its ''fraud '' and ''illegal''. I asked her to please check if the dress is online,so my mother could order it to send to me,but its not.She became louder and louder, with customers all round, kept repeating ''its illegal and fraud''...dismissing me. I walked out without a resolution, and no dress.Instead of helping me find an answer to my problem, she made me look and feel like a thief.horrible customer service, and a bad attitude by this ''manager'' she called herself.
Your Philadelphia Outlet store in Limerick Pa (the one right next to Catherines) is run horribly, there is rarely a manager in the store the girl Bailey is normally next door talking to the other girl or the girl from Catherines is in Lane Bryant - the managers bad mouth your merchandise and chastise the girls(associates) that actually wear your clothing telling them it is inappropriate. I have gone there on 2 saturdays at 10am and the store was not open!! I am so ashamed of your company the way they treat there associates making them work 6 or 7 hrs and no breaks - highly illegal. The stores (Catherines) unattended leaving it open for theft and the employees stealing. The one girl that works there has multiple facial piercings and it is disgusting. yes I am a secret shopper for the outlets and everyone should know how your store is run - I am telling OSHA what you do to your employees!!
I've been a Lane Bryant customer for many years. Sadly, the quality of the clothing has plummeted, as has the taste of the buyers and manufacturers, while the prices have risen far, far beyond what the clothing is worth. Basics are nonexistent. There is almost nothing one can safely wear to work. Every top shows far too much cleavage for a professional environment (and I am far from a prude). Also, I've tried to post reviews of certain garments on the website. Amazingly enough, my negative reviews are not published. Anything with a hint of a positive remark is; I can't imagine that this is a technical glitch. LB used to be a decent store catering to customers who have trouble finding clothing elsewhere. Now it's only displaying so-called trendy junk. I will not buy from here again.
I wanted to share two completely opposite experiences, I think you should be aware of. Last Saturday I was shopping in Orland, wandered into your store #6119 and was treated like family. An associate named Kayla helped me try on dozens of jeans until I was in the pair that fit me correctly, and looked fabulous. I was so pleased and left with 5 stuffed shopping bags, that Stephanie held in the store for me until I was finished shopping in the mall for the day. I adore that store and its employees, wish it were closer to my home, I am sure I would be there every week. Outstanding customer service!! Today, I needed to return a few items, so I ran them to a store in Homewood, IL., about 15 minutes from my home. I was treated with the utmost disrespect I have ever encountered. My 17 year old daughter that was with me thought I should have paid my card off, closed my account and never return, that's how humiliating the entire situation was. First the cashier noted the receipt was from Orland and announced it to numerous employees. As she returned the items, she threw them to the counter behind her in an obvious annoyed way. Next she told me, she also lived in Lansing, IL. where I live and asked why I didn't return them to the Calumet City store. I understand she was able to see my personal information on her computer screen, but that violates my privacy that she announced it aloud to other employees and people shopping. That can be legally handled, and depending on the outcome of this, it may be. She proceeded to tell me that her store was a low volume store and returns count against it in a negative way. I promise you, I will never step foot in that store as long as I live. I explained to her that the Calumet City location was not my choice to shop in the late hours and I if this was such a problem I could bring my return to a different store. She then told me that she was not being rude when she asked that question, she just did not appreciate my returning from other stores at her location. She took the items, completed the return, but was the most disrespectful person I have ever dealt with. I am sad, because I have shopped in that location in the past. Never again!! The most disturbing part is, she was the store manager. I am infusing my hard earned money into your company, I can choose where I shop, how and what I purchase and it doesn't have to be Lane Bryant. I think that location probably needs to be retrained in customer service and a new manager. Word of mouth is a powerful tool. Thank You, Ann
I opened a credit card and purchased around $650 worth of merchandise in November at the Valley Fair Shopping Center in San Jose. One of the $12 pair of pajama bottoms that I gave as a gift still had the theft detector on it. I threw the receipts away because I didn't notice the detector until the repentant told me after Christmas. I returned to the Valley Fair store in January to get it removed. I was chastised 4 times for not having a receipt, gift receipt, they shouldn't do it. I told the clerk it wasn't my fault and followed her to the counter. While I was at the counter, I said nothing. When she was finished, she walked to the other end of the counter, looked down at the register and said in front of 5 customers waiting in line that "She said she would do it but if I wanted to fight about it she would." This was embarrassing and uncalled for. I deserve an apology. I understand theft issues but they could have taken my name and information and also ran my card to pull up my purchases. That would have been acceptable to me.
PLEASE start carrying real career clothes again! A nice fitted (with a little stretch) 3/4 sleeve sweater in jewel tones. Not the lime, weird purple and royal blue combos-they look cheap. I used to LOVE LB's clothes, but it all is too trendy and cut to look sloppy on real plus size women. I don't want to wear a big, sloppy sweater and a lace camisole to work. I don't know who decides what types of clothes you put in your stores, but it's no longer working for me and I will no longer be a customer. Plus size women can wear nice-looking, cute looks that aren't sloppy. Think the limited but BIGGER.
I have always been impressed by the West Palm Cityplace Store. Now there are rumors they are closing it to put something else there??? Why??? Their staff is so fantastic. I hope they can move them to another store. The manager who's always so friendly and professional is a wonderful person. Please let me know you are just moving down the street!
I tried to exchange a Cacique bra at the Silverdale, WA location and was told that if I do not have a receipt OR the tags for the item then I was not able to even exchange the merchandise. This is outrageous, since it is a BRANDED item that would not be sold elswhere!!! It also does not state on the sales receipt, under the return policy, that you have to have either the reciept or the tags. It states returns without a receipt will be given an exchange or merchandise credit for the lowest sales price of the item. Then when I try to contact corporate, all I can do is leave my phone number to be called back?? I am going to tell everyone I can about the LACK of customer service this company has!!!
I have tried to contact Lane Bryant about a insurance/fee that is on my account that I want cancelled. Supposedly it would help if you were out of work, death of spouse, financial whatever...I have called at least 3 different days for an hour each day and get transferred every single time because nobody knows what I'm talking about. So each month my account keeps racking up around $12.00 a month and I can't get it cancelled. If anyone knows the person or number that can get the help I need please let me know or my next step will be to contact a lawyer and I bet I would not be alone in pursuing this case.
I went to the Sprinfield Mall store on Monday 11/21/2011 because the store on 69th street did not have the dress my daughter wanted in her size. The 69th street store is a great store, hence that is the reason they run out of various sizes. While at the Springfield Mall store I purchased 2 bras, buy on get one at 50% off and I had a coupon. Unfortunately they were the wrong size and I went back on Tuesday to exchange them for size. I picked two bras that cost six dollars more than the original bras I purchased. The clerk charged me an extra $12.00 because she didn't take the time to figure out that with my coupon and the 50% off I should have only paid $9.00 and when I went back to get my money she could not comprehend her error. If I saved $31.00 on two bras that cost $32.00 a piece, how would I save the same $31.00 on two bras that cost $38.00 a piece? Then the clerk attempted to be condesending and not take the blame that she is basically stealing from consumers. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS WHEN MAKING A PURCHASE AT THE SPRINGFIELD MALL STORE!!!
Had I known that the Lane Bryant Credit card I applied for outsources their customer service to another country (Not within the U.S.) I would have never applied for one. Get those customer service jobs back into the U.S. or rest assured you will be losing another customer. Shame on Lane Bryant.
