LA Fitness in Clearwater on US 19 seems above average in most areas, except the POOL IS COLD consistently. My husband and I attend the AquaFit class a couple of times each week for the past six months. The pool is a chilly 82* every time except once it was a chilly 83*. Almost everyone in the class comments about the chill (except for the overweight people). The GM says the pool should be 85*. I've complained several times to the GM and he always says that he is 'working on it'.

La fitness is the most disrespectful people I have ever came across they are nothing but swindlers and I will never do business with them again

After years of working out at LA Fitness...I'm sad to lower my rating of their clubs on my blog. LA FITNESS CORPORATE DECIDED IT WOULD BE A GREAT IDEA TO CONTROL THE GROUP CLASSES MUSIC SELECTION! IF they do not reverse this policy I will take action on my blog and Facebook Friends asking them to pull their memberships until La Fitness corporate reverses this obtuse policy. SOMEONE IS GETTING KICKBACKS FOR FURNISHING LA FITNESS CORPORATE WITH SANITIZED CORPORATE MUSIC TO GROUP INSTRUCTORS WHO ARE WORKING HARD TO INSPIRE GYM MEMBERS!!!! FIX IT CORPORATE EXECUTIVES BEFORE WE FLOOD YOUR PHONE LINES WITH COMPLAINTS. We have enough controls in our world!!!

Can someone explain to me why they have a DJ playing rap music all night? Are they kidding?

We have been members for over 5 years, attending the water aerobics regularly. For the past several weeks the spa (hot tub) has been cold, and cold air from the air conditioning system is shooting out in the pool area, making the air temperature in the pool area very cold. Today, the water temperature in the pool was below where it should be. We demand a refund for at least 2 weeks when the pool and spa have been unusable. We are talking about the LA Fitness on North FIrst avenue in Tucson, AZ.

My bitch is that at Fontana gym they play the music so damned loud I can't hear myself think!, I asked to have it lowered and the manager literally laughs me off about it. Also the 800 number of their corp office is not working. I feel Im not paying to be annoyed by this. Hell I can't even hear my own ipod, I have no choice other than to try and duck their sound waves, pisses me off.

My fiancee and daughter were promised guest privilleges - they lied. Eventually someone told us that it wasn't in either contract. My daughter cancelled and my fiancee went through the VP to get what he was promised. The general manager "Corey" at 115th Marshifield is permanently pissed everyday. He ignores you and is downright rude. He called the police on me and my fiancee when we told him he was disrespectful and rude. Now we've been told that we can't come back. He's also a liar and had my daughter coming up there every week to cancel - I had to go around him to get a cancellation form. He even told one worker not to assist us. Club is in a nice area but it is run like a public train station - over packed and with no supervision.

They are still taking money out of my account unauthorized. I cannot get an answer from anybody...I had to bring hell for them to give me corporate's number in which corporate has done nothing about it although they said they would because they identified as an unauthorized transaction...saying they mixed my name up...My name is one in a million there is no way to mix it up..and if so you should take care of it right away. I am now going back the whole year to see what else they have done without my authorization. LA Fitness should be suid for their poor services, lies, and just the fact that its hard for you to get to corporate, while local clubs say they are not authorized to help you in certain areas makes no sense.

I became a member in 07/2010 in Arcadia facility. From the day 1 Women's sauna was out of order. I complained them every day. They fixed in in August 2010. Again, the women's sauna is out of order since before Christmas in 2010 up to today January 13, 2011. It is almost one month. I have been asking to Operation's manager and staff to fix it but the facility is not fixed yet. Can you listed to us? In July 2010, they told me that members are pouring cold waters over the heating system but I do not see anyone doing so. I suggested them to post a note "Do not pour cold water over the heating system" in both Chinese and English because majority of members are Chinese but they do not practice it. We are paying to use it and they should keep all facilities in up to date.

We had a Joint Account my "firned" who open the account with other 5 people left the gym in a week she was really dissatisfied and we stayed just cuz it was closer from work But trying to get the account under my name and address was always a big issue the person who open the account for us is no longer working there though the floor manager for sales/ memberships who is nothing but a rude lady said that the person who open the account for us was supposed to help us but he doesnt even work there anymore so whois supposed to help me i ask the i think it should be the lady that was rude with me since day one... all is being chaged to my card and we dont even live in the area anymore and everytime i call to cancel they don't wanna help me at all... Is really sad the facilities are really nice but the customer satisfaction is les than 1 star.. I really need this to be cancelled they always tell me acces your account which i even can't do cuz we don't have one. the location : Sterlind, Dulles Mall. Poor customer service from the membership sing up team/ trainners and don't even get me started on trainners they are so rude aren't they suposed to helo you but no, i think we pay them for nothing!... this is so dissapointing!

I am writing this email as my mother had a stroke in July 2010 and I live with my mother. I had a membership for training sessions and I was going to them up until my mother had gotten ill and could not be left alone at the house. I called LA Fitness and spoke with the General manager, but they would not let me out of my contract even with the fact I could not go the the gym on set days. I still wanted to keep my regular membership just try to get out of the Training sessions as I could not do both due to my situation at home. I was willing to bring in doctors notes from her neuologist and primary care doctors stating she could not be left alone but the only thing LA Fitness did was put me on hold for 6 months. This does nothing but prolong the inevidable of paying for something I can not do anymore. If I had known that this gym was so insensative of peoples lives I would not have joined them. I also felt pressured in the first place to do training in the first place and then come to find out the person who signed me up got fired for sexual harrassment. Amazing. Frustrated and not sue what to do at this point..

I just saw a guy video taping the women's aerobics class, I told the management, they said they didn't want to get involved. Great policy!

I became a member in Arcadia location in July 2010. One of my reasons why I joined the club was to use sauna but the sauna was out of order almost whole July 2010. They fixed in August, 2010. Again it is now out of order since middle of December, 2010. (As of today January 10, 2011) I have been complaining to their Operation's office/manager but they have not fixed it yet. They told me people pour cold water over the sauna heating system but I have not seen anyone doing it. I suggested to post a sign "Do not pour any cold water over the heating system" in English and Chinese (Because we have many Chinese members) but they have not done it.

....... They let me sign up and give my cc info. over the phone but wouldn't let me cancel over the phone. They gave me the runaround and made me download a form and mail it in.. The place was always a filthy, disgusting mess too.

I have not had the best experince at the LA Fitness in South Windsor. After the staff has bagered you to join the gym and you sign the agreement you are treated like chopped liver!! I have been trying to quit since October and I haven't succeeded yet. The first pertson told me that I had to come into the gym to cancel. Which I did at the beginning of November. I was told that it was too late because the payment would be taken onthe 3rd. I felt like I was intruding after spending 15 minutes telling the front desk person that I wanted to quit. He was very distracted and asked for my e-mail address four times. I looked back at the paperwork I received and my e-mail address was not correct. I am trying to contact a live person at the Corporate address and have failed. The number they posted is no longer in service. So that leaves me to the local office where nothing will be accomplished. I would not advise anyone to join this gym!

Going to contact better business bureau about these schmucks!

I dislocated my knee and needed to freeze my membership. I called my local gym at least 10x. 8x they hung up on me. 1x they promised to freeze it and never did. The final time, the froze the wrong month. There is no corporate contact on this site. This is ridiculous. How can I want to remain a member?

This is by far the most unethical company I've ever dealt with. I signed up for personal training, and decided within the 5 day legal window that I would change my mind. The only problem is, when I tried to cancel within that 5 day window, no one would help me take care of it. So, I'm STUCK paying 300 dollars a month for personal training I'm not going to be using. TO ANYONE THINKING OF JOINING THIS GYM..PLEASE THINK TWICE....GO WITH 24 HOUR FITNESS. That's where I used to train, and never had any problems. I'm so frustrated because the website doesn't offer any phone numbers, except the number to the gym I'm already a member of...gee I wonder why!?!

Worst gym ever, please find somewhere else to workout, LA Fitness is a ripoff,too many to type.

Today, Sunday 1-02-11 the gym didn't open at 8am, it finally opened when Krystal brought a key to the Weekend Manager, seems the person who was suppose to open didn't have a KEY. This weekend manager along with a club member were trying to force open the front doors before a key was delivered. I gather that had they forced the door open who the heck would've paid for the repair, member with their dues? This LAF here in Puyallup has had door problems before. I have been a member of this club since before ya'll broke ground, I can't believe how some people can't handle their jobs/positions responsibly. I would like a phone call from someone at Corporate to get resolution to this mess. Many members left before the door was finally opened. In truth getting the information on this problem and others is not easy with your web site. I am done with talking to the GM and supervisors. My contact information is in the membership file. Thanks.
