LA Fitness (Atlanta Area) will say anything you want to hear to get you money. The sale of the membership is the only time you will receive anything that looks like customer service. Later you will find it was not customer service - IT WAS A RIP OFF. Once you try to go to a GM in the gym they are looking at you like a deer looking into head lights. I would tell anyone to have a lawyer with you when you are going over the contract. I had to be refunded over $600 due to my account being deducted twice a month and they over charged me when I tried to add on someone to my account.I was also assured that my account would be deducted on the 15th BUT OF COURSE it is deduced on the 1st. I have asked for help on using the equipment and never received it. Could be a good gym but they do not believe in customer service at all.

LA Fitness is the worst GYM I’ve even been to, the staff have horrible business edict and the equipment is constantly missing or broken. Complaining about it is of no use because the staff doesn’t care about the customers at all. They just want your money; they will be polite when you first sign you up but anything after that you’re on your own. The staff including the corporate office is not at all concerned that you don’t like that the GYM is dilapidated and that the staff is disrespectful to their customers, their attitude is TOUGH WE DON’T CARE ABOUT YOU!!!!

Stoneham, MA is the worst gym. No management. Bathrooms stink like sewer. Rooms for classes are not heated. Corporate office doesn't care about anything. They have you money and that is it. Have lost numerous instructors who care about members. Would not recommend this gym to anyone. It's too bad because it is a brand new gym with good equipment but the lack of management brings it to a low.

In short they are fraudalent and mislead their members. My boyfriend went to the gym to buy only 2 months worth CASH. Without my authorizationand without his knowing, he was added to my account and I was being debited for a monthly membership for him. I never signed, authorized or spoke to an la fitness member about approving or authrzing somones elses memeberhips. Although my bf wanted a 2 month membership, I am paying for a monthly membership. He should have never mentioned that I had a membership there. It has been impossible to fix the stituation. La fitness does not own up to their actions. Ive sent cancellations out but until the forms are processed (by mail) I will be billed.

I am not happy with the LA Fitness on Louetta Rd. in Spring, Texas. I have a big complait with this gym and this has happen alot there. I have complain to the front desk, but don't seem to get anything done. So I am letting everybody no what is going on. Men if you are changing clothes in the mens dressing room beware that the women that clean up just walk in when they want, nobody warns you that they are coming in to clean and they don't mind if you are not dress. I think they should send someone from the front desk (man of course) to tell the men that are in the dressing room that they will be coming in to clean and give the men a chance to get dress. And put a sign outside the door with somebody standing there for at least ten minutes to warn them as they are coming in that the women are going to clean the locker room. I have been back there and got out of the shower and the women are in the dressing room. They should not be allowed in there without letting the men no.

This gym is horrible. Fitness instructors arrive on their own time, as much as 25 minutes late for a class and are not the least bit remorseful. Very unprofessional. I'm a teacher and my boss would never tolerate this. Once is okay, but this is ongoing.

I will be cancelling my membership to the LA Fitness in Round Lake IL shortly as this is one of the worst gyms I have ever been a member of. I recently learned that they are requiring the group classes to play "canned" music forced upon them by the coporate office. Obviously the people in the corporate office have never taken a good spin class! The music is what makes the class-they are completely stiffling the creative influence of the instructor to push the participants in the class by forcing them to play the same crappy music over and over again. I only stayed at this gym for as long as I did for the one spin instuctor who is leaving due to being forced to plan crappy music again and again. In addition, a 1/4 of the bikes are consistently unusable at any given time. One evening I went to the gym to use one of the 3 stairmasters and ALL 3 were broken. On several occasions several treadmills are broken and one has been unusable since the day the club opened!! Seriously is it asking too much fix the equipment?? The gym is also the most filthy gym I have ever used! My husband quit already due to the deplorable condition of the mens locker room. This could be a nice place if the people took the time to care for the equipment/facility and let the instructors do their job. I have a feeling this gym will eventually shut down due to how poorly run it is. I will surely be taking my business elasewhere!!

The McKinney LA Fitness is poorly run and managed. Pay the few extra dollars to be part of a club that respects its' members.

I went to play raquetball with a paid member and when I got there I was told that I had to pay $15 for a day pass. I have no issues with that if it is company policy, but it seems fishy to me since the girl said it had to be cash. I asked why and she said it was used for petty cash. In other words I helped pay for employee lunches I assume. Not only will I never join their facility, but the member that went with me is cancelling their family membership. You would think in a time of a poor economy people would put more in to customer care. Seems customer care is not high on this company's list of priorities. I was amazed at all the complaints when I got on-line to find their corporate office contact information. I only hope bankruptcy is in your near future.

I recently joined a membership at a LA Fitness in Tinley Park, IL. I want to say maybe my third or fourth trip there my locker was robbed! Some individual cut my lock and stole all of my belongings from the pockets of my sweats. Including my car keys, cell phone, wallet, money, etc. Then the sick individual went into my vehicle and took some of my belongings from there. I did make a report of this and while bringing up the sad incident to the employee of LA Fitness I was told they couldnt do much to help me. No cameras anywhere at this location. I then went to the police station and while I had my sit down with the officer who arrived on seen, I was told this happens atleast 3 to 4 times a week! How can you call yourself a corporation if you do nothing to protect your gym members?!?!? Ive exhausted every attempt to retrieve my belongings back and get some type of help with this situation. After I submit this complaint I will be calling coporate and flooding there facility with letters!! No one can do anything to help? I advise anyone who is looking to sign up for a membership at LA to take my warning and turn away! This place is infact a joke!!!!!!!

Horriable coustomer service. The people that work at the LA Fitnness on 6th ave in Tacoma wouldn't know coustomer service if it hit them in the butt. I would not recomend this workout facility. Berry the G.M is no better than a used car salesman. Thanks for trying to to help my boyfriend and I out when we found out he would be getting re- staitioned else where after we just signed a contract 1 week and 3 days prior. There goes 400 dollars to use a gym for 1 month. Thanks tons! Hope you enjoyed the commission you made off of us! Next time we will be more choosie about the gym we join! Lesson learned! La Fitness sucks!!! The equipment is great but the employees there are rude, inconsiderate, nosy, and very impulsive. I joined, along with my current girlfriend at the time and we also got her mother to join. Let me tell you it was a living nightmare. Every time we walked in the employees would bother us and annoy us asking how our lives were going, and also asking very personal questions. All we wanted to do was go to the gym and have a good workout without being pressured or harassed every 5 minutes of going to another machine. It got to the point where my girlfriend went to the gym alone and the one employee(male) was sexually harassing her. She was doing a squat and he came up behind her and said "Oh let me help you with that." She said oh no i am fine, but he kept persisting, so he demonstrated a squat while she stood by and watched. When she got back on the squat rack, she told me he got really close and that she could feel something poking her(his private area) and she told him to stop because she felt uncomfortable. When she told me this had happened, we all canceled all memberships and did not even complete our last free month. Something needs to be done about the La Fitness in Pennsylvania, because the employees are gonna do that to the wrong person and get slapped with a huge sexual harassment/harassment lawsuit with actual witnesses who saw these things happen. I would not recommend this gym to a living soul, and since we have left i have been a lot happier at my new gym. The employees don't bother me, i can come in and get my workout done and leave.

Wyomissing Pa has the worst employees. These people need to all be fired and they should have people working there who actually want to see you get the results you want instead of being complete jerks.

AVOID!!! Very misleading sales. When I joined several months ago, the salesman said that with my membership I could bring a friend along for free anytime and had me sign a stack of papers. Several months later when I brought a friend along for a free session, Shannon, a sales girl, stated I could not help my with training as it was stated in the contract that no outside trainers were allowed. I replied that I am not a trainer and only helping a friend and that others where helping friends also but were not told the same thing. What good is having a friend coming along if you cannot speak to them about training? When I confronted the manager, Ryan, he quoted the contract again and was very disrespectful in attitude. They lost my business. AVOID at ALL COST!!!

I was told many LA Fitnesses are no longer corporate & are on their own. They are very unprofessional, dishonest & make it nearly impossible to cancel your membership. We are so glad to be out of there & thrilled that YMCA will be building next to them in near future. I hope LAF goes broke!

Bensalem Pa's la fitness is the worse management in any company i have ever dealt with. They dont help you with crap and dont know anything about their jobs. I cancelled and went to Retro fitness alot better of a club and cheaper at that. The Gm (SKIP)at LA Fitness in bensalem shouldnt have that job. The frontend manager (lewis) stole my brothers ipod right from the safe when another employee told us he put the ipod in the safe and no one had the key but the manager Lewis. I would NEVER tell someone to go to this gym.
