The personal training program at LA Fitness REALLY SUCKS!!! I could get better fitness advice on Youtube. Plus, I have back problems so it is really important that I stretch efficiently after each workout, so when I asked my trainer about stretching techniques I was advised to ROLL AROUND ON PVC PIPES!!! They were aware of my condition, yet this is the "professional" advice I was given. In addition, the program coordinator overcharged me when he signed me up and they took double out of my checking account what they should have, by over $100 dollars. Thankfully I noticed the error before I overdrew my account. When I made them aware of the problem I was shuffled around from one person to the next and placed on endless hold until I finally had to come in and confront the guy face to face. He still didn't see the error and kept giving me the same mindless sales pitch about joiners fees until the regional manager who happened to be there got involved. I still can't get out of my contract despite this awful service and the whole experience has been one HUGE NIGHTMARE!!!
I've been a member of La Fitness for the past 6 years. My only concern is that for the past 6 months the basketball gym floor hasn't been swept and moped, but they've painted the gym bottom wall 3 times in that same period of time. (La fitness on Sheridan Street and 56th ave. Hollywood, Fl 33021
I belong to LA Fitness at Downingtown PA (a brand new gym opened in June 2011). The hot tub has been partially inoperative (cold and warm water and jets not working) it has been 2 months now, it never reached 102, it's most likely between 95 to 100 on a good day. When asking about this situation, the front desk says: I don't know anything about it, we contact the pool guy, but the pool guys never shows up. Front desk will always say, that they will let the Operation Manager know, but it appears he isn't doing anything and doesn't care. There is also big problem with Sales crew or your personal trainers, they are bunch of liars and very pushy. Personal Trainer Alberto Diaz is always hitting on girls, and he is a big liar. I don't feel comfortable bringing my daughter or my wife to this kind of gym. Most of the personal trainers are HIGH at this location. I'm surprised that LA Fitness don't apply drug test policy. Showers nasty dirty, lot of times no soap, and when they put some is being mix with lots of water
I have been a member of the Eastside Tucson LA Fitness gym for approx. 8 years. I feel like I've been a loyal customer, even referred people there but on Wed., after locking my purse in the women's locker room with a Masterlock, my locker was broken in to and my credit cards, gift cards and medications were taken but they left my purse. I did not realize that they had stolen my stuff until I had to use my debit card and did not have it. I called the gym immediately to try to speak to the manager but was told she was not there and I would have to call back. I went back yesterday to personally speak to the manager and to show her how bad the lockers are. She immediately took an "I don't care attitude" and made it seem like it was my fault that my valuables were stolen! I took the necessary steps in securing my personal belongings with a lock and carried my key with me and she bluntly told me that they always have this problem with stealing and that I should know better than to leave my things in the locker!! She then proceeded to tell me that it's because of the "side of town" the gym is located on which is actually a nice side of town!! To be treated like I was the "criminal" was to say the least, insulting but to not be even sympathetic to the situation is appaling and I cannot believe that she even calls herself a "manager" or that LA Fitness has her as an employee!!

I like L.A fitness in woodbridge but the sales people always want to get my number isiah sales told me that he wants to sleep with me. I said no way. There's alot of sick people in L.A FITNESS. Other than that I like the GYM.

When asking about this situation, the front desk says: I don't know anything about it, we're waiting for a part, it'll be back in full operation soon, etc. What's the manager doing to expedite its repair? Appears he isn't doing anything and dosen't care.
LA Fitness recently acquired the Bally's Fitness in Novi, Mi. I am disgusted with what I've seen since this takeover. I arrive early every morning, and there is trash everywhere, including the shower stalls. The machines are filthy and unsanitary.....you need a HazMat suit to walk in there. The garbage cans are overflowing, and the conditions are not sanitary. The health department must be called in to evaluate this facility!!
LA Fitness sucks. I joined in the Montebello location and the only reason I even go is because its to late to cancel my personal trainer. I purchased the Kids club package to ensure I could work out at any Bally's and not have an excuse not to but now it turns out that I need to purchase a new Kids club package of $20.00 for first and $20.00 for last month. On top of that I need to pay $10.00 per month so I my child can have child care. They are not complying with my Bally contract and that makes me mad. If anyone knows who I can talk to please call me. I am very frusterated with the Bally buy out situation at the Beaverton LA Fitness. I have been a member of LA Fitness for 5 years. It had been a nice gym, worth the $30.00 a month fees. It was clean, friendly people, very little waiting for equiptment, adaquate parking. With the influx of the Bally members (approx. 3,000), the parking lot is full, twice in one week I gave up and left and I was 30 minutes late to one class because I couldn't find a parking spot. (the solution from the front desk, park at the theater down the street), the classes are packed, you cannot get on the equiptment, the hot water runs out so cold showers, the weights are not being re-racked and there is tension and anger from many of those who came from Bally and the original LA Fitness members are not happy. The Bally members are being transfered over and paying $10.00 to $20.00 a month and they refuse to lower the rate of the original LA Fitness members. They should be paying us for putting up with this.
The long beach Bally GYM which was bought out by L.A Fitness has got to be one of the most horrendous fitness facilities i have ever been a member, and the reason for that the mens locker room,showers, toilet stalls,and steam-room are atrocious and beyond. There also is no kind of energy snacks,refreshments,locks,work out gloves,or anything to compensate for concession.I as a member was told thing would be better instead they have gone from bad to worst and that should not be.It would be gratefully appreciated if their were some type of nutrition nutrients, such vitamins,powder drink mix,or health products put on display to be purchased, at this point there is Noting Absolutely Noting there and thats Ridiculous. Both of us were Bally members and have been members since Bally's opened and took over Holiday Spa. Everyone has known that Bally's was having financial problems and we were looking forward to LA Fitness takeover for a fresh start. We both go to the LA Fitness gym located in Montebello, California. This site has numerous members and is very large. Now one month after takeover the gym has declined to the point of dispair. Management does not appear to care about the current or future members. Examples of dispare: NO soap in both bathrooms (men and women - sink and showers), broken dispensers, clogged drains for over 3 weeks, tolet paper/tolet covers are not being refilled, shower curtains are being removed and not replaced in the women's showers, cleaning crew not coming in on a daily basis so floors and equipment are dirty, numerous pieces of equipment are out of order and the staff being hired are not opening at schedule/posted times. Saturday, January 21, 2011 they actually didn't have anyone open until 9:30am and the schedule time to open this location on Saturday is 6:00am. During the week, scheduled time to open is 5:00am, however, staff is always late. We are working professionals trying to keep fit and are on a time schedule. After opening, staff disappears in the side rooms so no one is monitoring the front door or greeting members coming in. Extremely disapointing to not even being greeted with a smile and a good morning - two simple words. We truly look forward to positive changes. We are trying to be patient but it isn't looking good especially when the manager (Pablo) won't take calls or call members back when messages are left.

I agree with Jeff Druzak. I am disguested and very frustrated with the LA Fitness in Everett WA., at Everett Mall. They have 10 Television Set in the Cardio Area and at any given time there are from 6 to 8 of them turned on to MSNBC, CNN, and ABC. I continually ask to have them switch just one TV to Fox New Channel and was told by the manager just to ask and they would change the channel. But, whenever I ask it turns out to be a big hastle to accomplish. Only the manager has a key to the control room for the TV's and if he is busy with something or not in the office no one has access to that control room. That's just the beginning. Half the time their employees have no clue on how to change the channel. Also if they finally do change it the close captioning does not work only when the channel is switched onto Fox News. All other TV's with the freakin Liberal channels the close captioning works just fine. I have informed the manager and four other employees that there is a problem and they all say the same thing (WE WILL LOOK INTO IT,OR WE WILL LET OUT TECH SUPPORT KNOW). After five months of continually letting them know this, nothing has ever been done about it. Most of the staff sit at their computers and do nothing. One of the last times I asked the manager if he would change the channel to Fox he would not even look me in the face and asked two other employees to change the channel and they claim they could not find it. A couple of days later a new girl came in and when asked she was very nice and said that she would change the channel after who ever had the key was present. Well I went my whole 45 minute work-out without the channel being changed and I saw that the manager was not doing anything but talking to other employees for 30 minutes of my workout. The next day I asked the same girl if she would change the channel to Fox News and she did so with realitivity ease. What does that say about the other employees. I feel that the manager could just care less about the problem of the close captioning not working on Fox News. This is pathetic, I am a paying customer for over 2 years now and I am being ignored about the problem. It seems that once they get you in the door. I am freakin tired of being forced to watch these liberal channels spit out there venom at Conservatives. What the hell is going on is the Owners tring to get there agenda by only having Liberal channels. By the way Liberalism is a mental disorder and I am reminded of that fact having to listen to Liberal spin absolute lies and then try to make people thing that it is fact. I am now re-thinking if my wife and I will stay with LA Fitness because they do not have their customers needs at heart.DISPICABLE!!!!

I canceled my membership according to the contract and membership assistant and I am still am being charged one month later.
I have been going to LA Fitness for over a year and every time I have gone, I have taken my 10 yr old grandson. Yesterday I was told he is not allowed on the floor, she said it is their policy. Why the heck is it not posted! And why didn't they tell me when I enrolled!
