I was a Lifeguard at The LA Fitness on Staten Island who treated me terrible because they hire Total Swimming Pool Company who put two supervisors who tried to screw me out of overtime until I called the pool company up almost 2 weeks later. Got paid for but they spread false rumors that I broke the hot tub and hit on female coworkers. One of LA Fitness managers on the Staten Island branch gym named Justin or Justice Lopez also spread these false rumors. They want to call the cops on me. I plan to sue LA Fitness and Total Swimming Pool Management for these false rumors. I got all the proof. LA Fitness on Staten Island will get shut down if something is not done. walking into the gym in toms river noticing you see the gm outside on his cell phone smoking cigarettes never to be found to answer a question there are people at the management dest who are happy to help but the gym is noted to be in disarray very dirty the bathrooms are never clean there is always broken equipment and the young girls at the desk are too busy talking about what they did last night there seems like there is a big turnover in staff the company should get rid of those who are not pulling there weight and the ones that are shining they should promote

I want to bring a CLASS ACTION again LA fitness. Please join me if are or were mis-treaded my LA Fitness. I walked in to one of the LA Fitness gym in January 2012 to cancelled my family's memberships. They gave me two cancellation printouts and asked me to mail them in, which I did. I was busy traveling and noticed that they still debit the membership fee out my account in March so I called; left them many messages. No one ever return my calls. I went to a local gym and explained my situation and no one even care to desolve my issue. At the end, I have to call my bank to stop the payment and I am still try to get my money back on the months that they charge me after my cancelation.

The Johns Creek, Georgia La Fitness has the most rude staff. I asked the front desk person to turn the music down as it was too loud; the speakers are right above the treadmills etc. and with the music full blast you simply cannot listen to your own music on an i pod or even think....The front desk woman yelled at me when I asked her to turn it down, she said if no one else is asking us to turn it down then it must not be too loud. Well, apparently, no one asks anymore because you get yelled at by the staff. I know several other members who were bothered by the overly loud music who stated that they too had requested that the music be turned down only to be ignored. The staff at this facility is unprofessional, rude and should be replaced by people who are more concerned about what the members want. I have never been treated so rudely. DO NOT join this location.

I have been working out at la fitness for about 2 years in toms river new jersey ,there are only a few staff who are friendly and actually seem to have good customers skills the staff some are in uniforms others look like they rolled out of bed in their sports bra wearing more make up then the Mac counter training people while they are on their phone drinking coffee the gm outside smoking cigarettes while the front desk girls are talking about there plans for the weekend . The gym is in disarray the carpet is moldy and it seems most of the staff just do not care . The director of pt is new he has his stuff together and seems like he can turn around the club but he will have to do a lot of cleaning out with the existing staff I will try to stick it out but I am coming to work out not going there to hang out like I am in a nightclub

I went to my training today at 5:30 AM,and the person at the counter din't let me in because my account still frozen, I already pay to froze my account they deducted $400 dollars from my bank account on Friday, I call talk to a manager and he gave me an appointment for today at 6:00AM  to a training workout , and now I can't get in the GYM?? Worst Gym Ever!!! HORRIBLE customer service

My roommate and I were given letters (in writing) about how we could go to any gym (any LA Fitness gym) with no asteriks or notes saying (we could not work out at a Signature Club???) No where on this letter did I see an exemption. Wounder if I take this letter to small claims court and show the judge if he would agree with me. I was adviced just this past week in Woodland Hills, Ca. that my memebership did not include the one club. Person at desk said that this was the only "signature club" in California for now. A new LA Fitness gym is being build from the ground up and is so much closer to me (3 miles) and I can't get a straight answer if this new one is Signature or regular LA Fitness gym???? One say's regular gym, another says possibly, and the rest say "corp has not decided???" Anyone else in California or other states have the same experience. Please post and let me know. (I also belonged to Ballys before and transfered)

Just got a telemarketing call from LA Fitness in another neighborhood of Seattle trying to get me and my family members to come in and try out their place with a trainer for 2 weeks free. Said his name was Patrick. When I told him I was already a member he said this would not apply and hung up. I called back the number and asked how he got our number in the first place. "I'm going through the phonebook." I told him we were on the "Federal Do Not Call List" but he didn't care.

I went to sign in for my membership and the scary thing is that the general manager didnt give me any receipt or any paper work of what I have sign on so I am so blank dont knwo whats going on. Please help

To whom it may concern: The water exercise class has a Teacher on Tuesday 9 AM and Friday 9 AM and all she does is play with her hair and watch her cell phone and talk about cats arrives late & leaves early late and gives little instructions she is so not into the water class what is she being paid for? Here is what I'm sending the headquarters: To La Fitness Corporate Office Headquarters. I’m seriously thinking of pulling my membership from this club. Not only have they taken away some of the most important classes and equipment from the gym, they have also modified employees hours making it harder for members to work out because of time changes. Thanks to the inconsiderate Denise. La Fitness is NOTHING, NOTHING like Bally's Total Fitness use to be. I'm so sorry Bally's went out of business. It's like, when you come in there now, you're on your own so to speak. There are no instructors, because they are being pulled from the gym without notice, and people come to the gym not only to exercise and lose weight, but to release stress. Hell, with what’s going on now, it’s another whole new level unnecessary stress level because there are no classes. I, and many other members, come to the gym to work OUT, and to take classes that are going to benefit our overall weight loss like Bally's use to have. La Fitness has nothing to offer as far as classes. Denise keeps pulling instructors from their classes, modifying their time making it difficult for them to teach as well as members taking the class because of these time changes. We finally have an excellent instructor to team on Tuesdays from 6:15pm-7:00pm, and now he's being told, not to report to work with no explanation what so ever. This is totally unfair to him and any other instructor willing to work the members the way we like to be worked out. This is the second time this has happened to this gentleman, Ron who teaches the Tuesday eve classes. Denise calls the gym and gives a message for Ron not to report to work. Tucson- Just noticed FOX was taken off all the sets including the locker room. It is no longer available on the tread mill and other machines. Talk in the locker room is that LA Fitness Corporate had FOX removed because they are supporting Obama for the election. The front desk said thay have received at least 150+ complaints so far. Who do they think their customers are, the unemployed? I'll give them some time but I expect the gym I work out in to stay out of politics.

The gym in Las Colinas in the Dallas area is so dirty and they cannot even keep papertowels stocked. Te equipment never gets repaired on a timely basis and they are more concerned about getting new business than they are keeping it. If you complain to the manager she gives you attitude and some flip response an goes back to doing what she wants. If you want a great gym don't make it LA Fitness!!!

I have been a member of LA Fitness in Phoenix on and off for five years. The facility still has very worn-out equipment, the treadmills are covered in dried sweat stains, the belts on the treadmills are so worn out they bulge in spots, which makes it easy to trip. None have functional heart rate monitors anymore! The TVs suspended from the ceilings are tiny, some were replaced with flat panel monitors, but they never have any interesting shows and the screens are so small you can't see them anyway. They have little paper hand-written signs taped on them that say to tune to a particular channel if you want to hear the audio. I am constantly pulling out kleenex or candy wrappers from the water bottle holders. When I signed on they didn't tell me that it would cost and extra $15 a month if I wanted to use the racquetball courts or the gym. The first time my husband went with me, the steroid-bloated trainer that worked with him really pushed him, he was so sore and miserable for a week! My husband is 57 and was very out of shape, a real trainer should start people out slowly! The parking lot is covered with matted-down tree debris from years of not being cared for, the parking lot has not been re-striped since way before I joined the first time five years ago. I quit again today, joined a brand new gym that will open in my neighborhood later this month. It's a third the cost and all state-of-the-art.

Naples Vanderbilt LA fitness. Had a membership and it was revoked. Told me I was personal training or coaching when I really work out with one person a good friend. Now got the runaround when told to talk to Jill. She told me to talk to David and he told me to talk to Leo. I went back and forth with all three and just gave me a hard time customer service horrible. It's very unfortunate to be treated this way when I am a massage therapists trying to help people. I have never been treated so unfairly just to have a gym membership. When I know that there are other trainers outside trainers training people in the gym one in particular sly who has been in Naples for ever brings in multiple clients. I would highly recommend not using LA fitness with their broken down AC unit after only being in town one year. Or signing up with Leo or using their personal training

I was told I signed a contract for a Month the Gym was closing was located in 88 st and 107th ave in Miami, fl , and just authorized charge my credit card two times, they kept charging me over a month when I noticed and try to cancel the agreement evne in Gym I have to call LA , they have proof my son never visited the gym after the month I signed , but they like to treat latin people like nothing , I'm feeling horrible because they tricked me . It was a nighmare I will never and ever recomend La fitness to no one .
