I live and shop in Olean New York. I've tried very hard to shop at K-Mart versus Walmart, but feel it necessary to change. I wanted to purchase a lawn mower a couple of weeks back. I didn't see a mower in a box, so I wheeled up the display model and the clerk said I couldn't have that one. He said I needed to wait a week for others to arrive. I left the mower set right there and across the street to Walmart I went. After getting the one from Walmart, my girlfriend had it out of the box and assembled in less then five minutes. Last Saturday I needed a phone, so back to K-Mart I went. Had to waite in line for ten minutes while the cashier was asking the shoppers in front of me, there e-mail address, for additional points or reward card or some promotional thing....fine until "ops", she types in the wrong address, gotta hit no on the key pad and try again and again. I am a employee at the kmart in mt plesant sc and i am being harassed by my manager and i believe its cause of the color of my skin now i don't like how every time i go to work she is on my back i am trying not to take it to the law so i am just stating my concern thanks

I would like to know why I have to be harassed at Kmart every time I go there? I get asked numerous times in any one visit to sign up for the rewards card! I get hit up by a worker as soon as I walk into the store and then again when I am at the register. I feel so bad for the employees that have to ask each and every customer because you can tell that they feel bad for bugging the customers. I shop at the Kmart in Hazleton, PA and it is really ridiculous how I am asked again and again to get a rewards card. I already have one and when I am out shopping I just want to get my stuff and leave. I know a lot of other shoppers feel the same way that I do because we all talk about it. Some of my friends took their shopping to the local Walmart just to get away with the constant pestering. Why does Kmart have to do that? I actually on one occasion heard a manager reprimanding some poor kid working the register because he didn't meet his quota. Doesn't Kmart realize that they are putting people off by doing this???? Please stop the nonsense!!

I went to the Rancho Cordova, CA store yesterday to take advantage of the double coupons week (uo to $0.99). I brought a lot of coupons and saw a few others with some in hand. I got to the register and used my coupons. I asked the cahsier why they were not being doubled to the (0.99) and she looked at me like I was crazy. I then proceeded to tell her that the advertisement is everywhere and how come they are not aware. She told me that she thinks that their store is doing that next week and that she has had a lot of costomers asking why also. I didn't argue because I thought that maybe I got the dates mixed up. Well, I was correct. The store either had no clue what was going on or there is a huge scam going on at that location. I called and spoke to the manager today asking why they are not on board with the rest of the company and he repeatedly talked over me. I politely asked him to please let me talk. He at first said he didn't know anything about it and by the end of the conversation he said "oh yeah...it is the 19th-25th" I asked him why he store is going against the policy and he couldn't answer me. He said to bring me receipt in and he will give me the money I should have got yesterday. I tol him that there is an issue if the corporaton is running an event that they should be participating in and are not and I suggested to him to have a staff meeting to get everyone on board. He responded "Yeah....I think we need to after this phone call" (I wonder how many people were turned away with the same issue?)

I WAS IN YOUR MARTINSBURG STORE ON FRIDAY JUNE 10, 2011 APPROX 7:30 PM WHEN SOMEONE HAD STOLEN MY PURSE OUTTA OF THE SHOPPING CART, I HAD LEFT IT THERE FOR APPROX 15 MIN, I FIND IT STRANGE THAT ON YOUR CAMERAS THAT YOU HAVE LOCATED ALL AROUND YOUR STORE THAT NOTHING WAS PICK UP ON IT, I BELIEVE SOMEONE SOME TIME ALONG THE LINE SEEN SOMETHING!! I LOST MY DRIVERS LIC, MEDICAL INFO, INSURANCE CARDS , DEBIT CARDS, PRESCRIBE MEDS, AND ALL MY MONEY (380.00) HOWEVER MONEY NEVER MENT A THING TO ME, BUT I FEAR FOR THE SAFTEY OF ANY AND ALL CUSTOMERS AT THAT STORE!!!! BECAUSE NOT ANYONE OR ANY OF YOUR CAMERAS PIN POINT MY PURSE TAKEN FROM A CART SETTING IN SPORTING GOODS AND WAS LATER THAT NIGHT AROUND 1130 PM LOCATED IN HOUSE WARES! I recently purchased an item online from Kmart.com. It was supposed to be delivered to my home yesterday. But when it didn't arrive I called UPS to see why. Even though my order confirmation and my shipping confirmation show my street address as 2449, UPS was given 49 on the shipping label. Now I have to drive across town to pick up my order from UPS. I contact Kmart customer service who said that they could not do anything, including refund my shipping amount. Now I understand why we no longer have a Kmart in town, awful customer service. I will never shop with them again.

i put a stove in lay away at the cabot arkansas store made one payment on it then paid it off this has been a week ago and i still dont have a stove i was left waiting for a manager for over fourty five minutes who by the way still hasnt shown up i called the manager on the phone and he was very rude because of this treatment and having to wait for something i purchased over two months ago to arrive which was in stock when i lay awayed it i will NEVER set foot in kmart again at least not in cabot arkansas

I totally agree with the Associate from the NC store!! I have heard the same BS in Jackson, MI!! I too was told by another associate that they got a raise.. and we are supposed to be on a "pay raise freeze" It's crap. For as much work that is expected associates deserve more than jokes! Then they wonder why some just give up and don't give the 110% they they preach is expected of you!

The store coupons in their weekly flyer are very misleading! I think they write their coupons the way they do to get you to come in the store... This week's flyer (Gaithersburg, MD) indicated the Fructis shampoo, conditioner, or other styling product, is $2.97 for 2. The exact wording on the coupon was "2-13 oz." When the products were rung up, they rang up as $2.97 each & the cashier & manager both told me that the coupon required the consumer to purchase 2 & that's why the "2" was indicated on the coupon. This is definitely not how the coupon read. When I asked the manager to honor what the coupon read, he would not do it. On top of that, I also purchased Hershey's chocolate syrup - the price tag posted on the shelf read "2/$4" however, when it rang up, it rang up as $2.50 each. Had I not caught that, I would have been overcharged for this as well! No wonder I don't normally shop here. Oh & BTW - if you think that KMart is a "discount" store, pay close attention to the prices...just from my trip yesterday, they are just as expensive as the CVS & Rite Aid stores, which are typically the most expensive. e.g. Digiornio pizza: $7.49; Nature Made vitamins: $8.99 (same as Rite Aid), etc. Be wary when you shop here!

I would like some Information, there is a store opening up next to the Kmart I work at? my question is can I apply at that grocery store to get some more hours. can kmart fire me if i apply?. someone told me it was against the law for kmart to say I can,t apply . who's telling the truth?

My mother has been working at a Kmart in El Paso, TX for almost 25 years and in that time she has always had a lunch break. Well, it seems that the "generous" 30 minutes they used to give the employees was too much, so the pharmacy employees no longer get a lunch break. I for one think that's absolute crap. I worked in retail at a dress shop and got a 30 minute lunch break, no questions asked. Don't you think a pharmacist is worthy of a lunch break?? Please, do something. (oh, also- the lady that put this into effect is a total slavedriver.) I just went and had my prescriptions refilled today. It was near 1:30. I told the pharmacy I would come back at 2:00 knowing they went to lunch from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. I was told The Pharmacist no longer gets a LUNCH BREAK. Effect a couple weeks ago he has to stay behind that crappy window 12 hours a day without food and water, unless he can slip something in between customers. This is curel and against Indiana law, if I am not mistaken. I take better care of my cat that that. She is fed 4 or 5 times a day and gets to go outside for a break. Come on K-Mart how can you be this inhuman. I worry about my prescription being filled properly due to the strees these guys are under with no breaks. You should be ashamed. Trade a couple of your 2 hour lunches with them a couple times and see if you like it. You should be ashed for treating such good and hard working employees like this. This is all about the new boss at Kmart in Teasy Valley WV(David Craw). First of all, he needs to learn some manners and be like a real boss. First speak to your employess. There are days he will walk by us and say nothing. So rude. Also stop walking around Kmart on your cell phone talking to your girlfriend, you could be helping us. Another thing we at Kmart do not think is right is you do not help out, you do not know how to run a cash registar and have told many of us it is not your job to learn how to run one. Where were you Saturday night when we only had one cashier. Not helping us. You were in your office, hello we could have used your help. Do you know how hard it is to work with only one cashier. And David, if you want to find another ex wife, then stop looking at Kmart. Walking around the store after a girl to see if she is married or not and then bragging about it......so not cool. You are making us all want to quiet. Also, when you have something to say to a employee, please talk to us like we are humans, we are not under you, you think you are above us. Watch out b/c we are all getting sick of you.

I would like to say that Manager Albert Klokis at the Frackville, PA Kmart went above and beyond to get me the boots I needed for work, after several weeks of not being able to find my size. He and all the Kmart staff are very helpful and kind. The store is set up nice and it is easy to find what you need.

I did a layaway online back in March.One week later I called to find out my payment amount,was told I had no layaway,and I should not of done online layaway as they are bad. I went into the New Lenox Il store which is where I made my layaway,and was also told I had no layaway. So I kept this up for the last three months because I really wanted the item and finally called the customer service number and am given a contract number that they should be able to find it by. When I called New Lenox this morning they found it and said they put it back for lack of payment. I asked how they did that when they were unable to find it when I was in store and the fabulous store manager got an attitude and told me they mailed a refund check,which I never received. Then he calls me back to say that for some reason the money was never mailed and he would do so today!!! I cant believe in todays economy they wouldnt try treating their customers a lil nicer. Guess I will take my business elsewhere!! Sorry that Kmart doesnt feel that customers are important enough to try and satisfy,especially when they are wrong!!!

I bought an opal necklace from Kmart and within a few months the opal fell out of its setting and I lost it. I did buy a warrenty but found out that your warrenty does not cover the actual opal! I want to find out who is the maker of the jewlery and contact them but kmart will not give me any answers

My experience with Kmart.com. First, I put (3) of one item in my on-line cart late one evening and it asked for my Kmart preferred card (or something like that).I couldn't find it, so I thought I would go to bed and do it in the morning. Went to order - price had gone up. I explained that nowhere did it say that was going to happen and would they honor last night's price - NO! So...I waited until they were on sale again. Ordered same (3) of the item; received rather quickly. All wrong. The item number was right, the quantity was right, but the description was wrong and that it what I got. Phoned. Was told that they would have to issue a return tag for UPS, I would have to try to tape up the UPS-damaged box and get it ready, it would be up to two months for my refund and I would need to go on-line to place another order. I refused to go on line to place another order. They made the error; they should send me the right thing automatically. The price again was no longer on sale; the shipping no longer free. Well, after talking to a supervisor, he agreed to place the order for me but had to charge everything at the original price and then give me a refund for the sales price and the shipping. I cautioned him about ordering it the same way without checking since the item number was correct on the packing slip, I was afraid the same thing would happen. He assured me it would not. Well, I got the new order. Guess what? All wrong again. Now I wait two months for two refunds to my credit card and we start the process all over again. EXCEPT - he told me it would take 5 days to check the warehouse to see what was in that bin. Ridiculous. I worked in inv. Control for a company MUCH larger than K-Mart and I can tell you when we made a mistake, the customer did not suffer. They did not re-order, nor wait 2 months for what is now 3 refunds, nor wait 5 days to see if we even had. I told him to forget it. I will never order from K-mart.com again. Done. K-Mart customer service is VERY POOR.

I live in the roanoke virginia area I would like to know how the hershburger kmart can employee a manager in their store that has been charged and jailed not once but twice for domestic abuse!! Now come on dont employing a felon that beats women for a public job seem unreal this manager gary childress has been reported on scanner here for drunken in public and domestic abuse a few years ago and again last nite I dont see how they can employee someone like that to work with the public?? Com'on you cant possibly tell me that kmart is that desperate for employees!! discusting!!

We have been customers of K-Mart for over 15 years. All of our prescriptions are K-Mart...but not for long! We have spent literally $1,000's of dollars at K-Mart over the years. Yesterday, we purchased 2 pairs of jeans and a pack of socks. When we got home, we discovered that one of the pairs of jeans was not in the bag. As it is K-Mart's policy to not accept any blame if all of your items do not make it into your bag(s), we are out the $14.99 plus tax. And in today's economy, that may mean a lot of money for some people. If you cannot and do not trust the people living in a community, then don't operate in that community. Most people are trustworthy and the old policy, "The customer is always right" is by far the best policy for a corporation to uphold. We will no longer be shopping at K-mart, we will be moving our prescriptions to another pharmacy and we will share this story with as many of our friends, neighbors, and relatives that we can.
