I'd like to know why in the world when the tempurature outside is 100 degrees you have NO air in your Lansing Illinois store. My 72 year old mother and I were there last night and the store was so unbearably hot that we felt sick. I don't see how you manage to keep the store open or keep your employees working in those conditions! I ask if the air was broken and was told they had no air except in the managers office! And it was hot in your Lansing IL store last summer as well but I said nothing because I just assumed it was broken and you'd have it fixed. We will not be shopping at the Lansing Illinois store again. Target and Walmart have air conditioning at their stores!

I work in Kmart and the past four years the A/C always messes up around the summer and its not right for the employees to have work in that know of conditions, HR and corporate ain't doing nothing so the next best thing is coming your way. :)

I was shopping Kmart in Jesup Georgia 7-21-2011 7:00pm. In the main isle was a rack of girl swimwear - on top of the rack, a sign "CLEARANCE $3.99 - $10.99" I spent 30 minutes sorting through the overstuffed rack and found 2 swimsuits in the sizes I needed. I continued to shop through the store - at least an hour more. At checkout 1 swimsuit was $10.99 but the other was $12.99.""Nicole"" informed me that it was accidently placed on the sale rack, that it belonged on the other rack back by the dressing room. I informed her that there were several swimsuits identical to that one on the clearance rack so I didn't think it was a misplaced item, and I had been shopping all over the clothing dept and there was not any other swimwear rack... but I certainly would like for her to show me the 'other rack'. Upon realizing that she had been caught in a bold-faced lie she bolted to customer service saying I/m not dealing with THIS customer. The store manager approached. I explained the situation, the sorry excuses and lies that Nicole had tried to sell to me and the manner in which she spoke to me upon being caught in her lies. The manager apologized and adjusted the price. Kmart needs to adjust Nicole's employment status...

WOW WHERE DO I START... FIRST I HAVE BEEN A VERY LOYAL CUSTOMER...I EVEN HAVE A BLACK V.I.P. REWARDS CARD. HAA HAAAAAAA... BUT THAT IS ALL GOING TO END. WHY ? THEN I GET A LETTER IN THE MAIL FROM AN ATTORNEY REPRESENTING KMART WANTING TO SUE ME FOR MY SON STEALING. MIND YOU NO COURT DATE NO INFO AND JUST DEMAND FOR MONEY. I CALLED THEM UP AND FINALLY AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS GOT THEM. THEY WERE VERY RUDE AND SAID PAY UP OR ELSE. I ASKED HOW CAN I CONTEST THIS AND THEY SAID YOU CANT JUST PAY. I was at your store on Patton Avenue in Asheville NC on July 16th. I tried to use a gift card there that I knew had funds on it. I was told they could not help me. A manager named Jeff came and basically lied to me the entire time to get me out of the store. He told me to call the 800 number on the back of the card. There is not an 800 number on the back of my card. I had to call back to the store to get the number and then was told that the service desk could have called the number for me. When I ask why that was not offered while I was at the store there was no answer. I went to the online page for KMart and found my balance which I printed and will go back to show them the balance but have no idea if that will even help or not after the rude and unhelpful attitude that the manager Jeff had. I will no longer shop at KMart but will drive the extra distance to go to WalMart and try them. I have been a customer and rewards card member for a long time at KMart but will now change due to this occurance. I did not deserve to be treated that way.

i worked at one of the kmart stores in warren michigan....i worked there for bout 8-9 months...after the manager promised me a certain amt of hours and pay...raise..vacation time...i left my full time job i had for over 4 yrs to go work there full time...ha ha what a joke...the first 2 wks i got 35 hrs after that 30...i was losing out on over $100 a month over my other job i left...then to find out there were no raises coming for us this yr...and everytime there was a "big meeting" wit the big bosses coming into the store...the manager would work us all to the bone to get the store ready....i voiced my concerns to the manager bout the promises he made and the fact i was the only one running my dept....he promised me 33 hrs every wk...and to get someone to help out in my dept...well after over 3 wks i still wasnt getting the hrs promised...and the person he put in my dept just made my job harder...i would volenteer to come in at 5 am to get the excess work done...this one certain morning that i volenteered to come in was my last day...my manager was in a piss poor mood...and yelled and cursed at me...in front of another employee...i will not tolerate being talked to that way by anybody...i use to be a manager at my old job and I NEVER YELLED OR CURSED at my employees....half the time the "mistakes" in my dept were the result of the other managers/asst managers coming into my dept when i wasnt there and "zeroing" out the product even tho there was that product in the store...the way those managers/asst managers run that store is a flipping joke...and corporate isnt any better...the way the "higher ups" talk to the store managers is disgraceful...i would rather flip burgers for a living and be treated with respect than to ever ever work for kmart again...and needless to say i will never shop there...its a shame the way this company treats their employees....

Really I did not want to put even one star on it for your office in Iowa have a few people that are liars, and have others who contradicts what the others are saying. I called the office to day for I wanted to buy an item that was on sale for 162.49, a trampoline with lED lights and surrounded net (see copy attached). When I went to make the purchase, it showed in my cart as $249.99. I thought I made an error so I went back to the selling item and it definitely showed 162.49. As you can see noting stipulates why the amounts were different. I called 1-800-311-4313 and spoke with Neil on 7/15/2011, approx. 2:07 PM and he told me that I would have to buy 3 other items and told me to read the specs on the item. Well, I did that and no where did it tell me that I had to buy anything else anywhere to get that trampoline more than $162.49. Neil continue to tell me to read the specs and over and over again NOTHING TOLD ME I HAD TO BUY ANYTHING ELSE to get what I wanted for more than $162.49. Then I requested to speak to a supervisor after I spoke with Neil from 2:07 PM to 2:22 PM he transferred me to Elizabeth and was on hold until 2:45 PM and I spoke with "a supervisor" named Will H. #7761G (he refused to give me his last name. Again, to no avail I asked Will why was the item I wanted posted on sale as $162.49 and when I put it in my cart it read out $249.99???? At first, he tried to back up Neil for Elizabeth said the same thing as Neil said and I told them flat out that it was false advertising, and misleading consumers. Apparently Elizabeth did not want to talk, and that was how I got to Will H. Will, like Neil really did not tell me anything new and could not answer my questions. But Neil did say I had to buy 3 additional items to get that price of $162.49. Now after all this lying, contradictions, false statements Will finally said it was a computer mistake and it will be off tonight. I asked him why was it on there for almost a week and yes there were others who complained. I want in retribution to receive this item as said sale price of $162.49, and free shipping to 138 Big Tree Drive, Statesville, NC 28677. I expect that if a store advertises whether it is in the store or online, that item and price should be honored and the customer be satisfied. The Kmart in Hyde park Pennsylvania need to start writing directions on their sales items and how to get them on sale. 75% of the time you try to buy a sales item there is a reason it is not that item or it is not included in the sale regardless of the huge sale signs they hang over those exact items. I feel they do this on purpose and I wonder how much money they make off of people who dont pay attention to what they are actually charged. Oh! and if they do manage to give it to you for the sale price they want to act like they're doing me a favor,you're not, you're giving it to me for the sale price. I will never go back to Kmart again. I feel like Kmart knowingly and purposely rip people off. If you have to do this to stay in business you need to close down.

This is not in regards to a product. It is about trying since April to find out how to file a life insurance claim after an employee death. Have written twice and recieved no answer yet. As with other problems of Kmart, Sears should be stepping up to the plate here and taking care of problems that are also related to Kmart which they now own. Please respond to this somehow!!!!

I will NEVER make a purchase from any KMART again. I do not normally shop at KMART however, I purchased a flat screen tv at a fair price, for my daughter for Christmas.6 months later it would no longer power up. I called smart plan who has made one promise after another. My TV is still in my home I never received the box they said would arrive within 3-5 business days they are now up to 20 days. I have made calls a total of 3 times and talked to a supervisor. They seem to be pleasant and helpful but their promises are everything but helpful. In addition they have given me an incorrect tracking number. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!

Worse than poor. Unserviceable. I bought a badminton set and what looked like blue fabric that held the net was actually paper. It deteriorated like wet Kleenex. Unuseable after 3 weeks.

In my opinion, K-Mart Corporate Headquarters customer services really SUCKS big time! I called them today (7/8/11 @ 9:55 am) to inquire about our local Tolleson K-Mart assisting us with our Back to School "Build-A-Backpack" drive. All I received was one stupid automated service after another. Oh wait...they did transfer me to the COMPLAINT line, in which I did speak to a LIVE person, but that didn't help me as I was looking for an OFFICIAL individual to speak with for our drive. How stupid and obtuse can these people be? What kind of "bull" is it when K-Mart of all corporations has an automated service notifying just about EVERYONE that they CANNOT help you with ANY TYPE of donation! Give me a break! How many millions of dollars does the K-Mart corporation make on a daily basis??!! I'll NEVER refer anyone else to this store again, that's for sure!!

I've shopped K-Mart In Barberton Ohio shopping center since it opened. In the last ten years or so it's gotten very bad. Everytime I go there I come out angry and say I'll never shop there again. The racks are always depleted. You seem to constantly change brands, Just when I find someting that works , you wont have it when I go back. Do you ever buy MAde In America? It seems like a lot of people are doing nothing when there are things that need to be done. (Stock shelves). The whole feeling is " I don't care." I'm sorry to see the K-Mart store going out but this is what I see happening. I know I'll start shopping Kohls, Wal-MArt or Target from now on.

On Saturday July 2 we were in the Kmart store in Auburn, Al, my Aunt who has problems with her legs was in one the rolling carts. She accidentally knocked down some of the racks in the store and she let one the associate know of the the accident, the associate said "OK that's fine, no problem", I would say about 20 minutes later the manager James Piedra walks up to find the mess and the associate pointed out my aunt to Mr. Piedra as to the one who made the mess. Mr. Piedra comes to mu aunt in intimidating manner and ask her if she made the mess, she stated to him that is an accident. He really approached her in horrible way, even when she asked him why he approached her like she had it on purpose; he had a real nasty attitude toward her. I don't think this any kind of way to handle customers!!!! When she asked is there was anyone she talk to besides him, he stated to her he can't give out that information, he didn't want to give out name and he even went so far as to turn his name tag around. We got name from the picture that was above the Customer Service desk because no one wanted to tell his name!!!

I was hired as a Cashier/Customer service at Store # 03749 in Montana on May 29, 2011 I believe was the date. Now a maonth later I still did not receive any shifts or training.When I called I was told by the Manager that he is training two people and I am next on the list because by background check came back. When I called back the next week, he told me the same thing that I was next on the list and he would call when the store got busier.. The last time I called he was not in-store and had the day off. The manager should have never told me I was hired when he had no intentions to let me work. I am almost thinking I was not called because I am older than 24 years, even though I have retail experience.The Kmart Application states I already accepted a position with Kmart.That is not the same as actually wortking and receiving a paycheck. Now I see that Kmart is advertising again for cashiers. Maybe they should let people work who have been hired first.

I was refused service "before" a sign was placed on tne counter, "Service counter closed at 11pm." I would not have ignored it and because of a medical condition, tried to come back or accepted my loss. I was in an "irate" mood an hour an half ago, until I started writing to both, Sears' and Kmart's Headquarters. I am returning the $12 item in the mail to Sears Corporation for my refund with an enclosed letter. In my letter I informed Sears how Kmart is dragging their business down (I love Sears), as was Kmart before the merge for these very complaints. After reading such dissatisfaction all over the country, I encluded this website and another on "customer Satisfaction)for Sears viewing. I further asked the Sears Corporation,"why?" Why did they merge with, rather than buy Kmart out for the "cheap change" of their worth. Their employees are of low class demeanor. The managers are igonrant and arrogant. How dare a "manager" refuse to see a customer as was done to me tonight, and others before. Customes! Don't call, flood Sears Headquarters and the Better Business Bureau and other sources of public help with letters. If Sears ignores these complaints I will search for agencies that will seek boycotting both stores.
