I have been waiting to receive my items since 11/14/11!!!! oh yea did i mention that kmart has already taken there money from my account and then told me because the items still say (ready to ship)which it has been saying since 11/14/11 that i was never charged bulls***. now i have to wait for them to call my bank to guess what.. prove i am not lying. how frustrated i am talking to customer service reps. from different states explaining over and over. all the reps. are just as so uninterested with your complaints all the say is you should get a response in 24 hours dont wait on it. the only thing they email you is a damn survey. dear kmart i will nver order s*** from you again
I went to Kmart in Lansing Saturday night and I had some coupons for Pampers from P&G it self. The lady line I was in had to contact the manager regarding the coupon. Telling me they don't take it but I have taken the same coupon to the Kmart in Steger with no problem. The manager was nasty and told me if you can take it someone else then do that we don't accept these. We also never seen them before. I will never shop at this kmart as long as I live. It's sad that management is horrible to paying customers. I didn't have an attitude. Everything that I had I told her to void everything I didn't want it. I will be calling corporate because of the attitude. I've worked in customer service and things people say now day should not be in the public working.
I want to write about the worst customer service/online ordering I have had with Kmart/Sears. I have written several times about a partial shipment that seems to be stuck in PROCESSING for a long time. I was not even notified and more than likely would never have been contacted unless I inquired about where my order was. Its Xmas for gods sake and was a gift. What is going on here? When I emailed, I would get a response that didn't even address the question that I asked. It was like they were answering someone else's question. When I called to cancel the order I was told they would and charge back my card in 3 days. I was then emailed the same day SORRY too late to issue refund and if I want when it arrives I can return it... WHAT???? at who's cost? I just started ordering on your website and was elated at the great prices and quality of merchandise. I placed 3 orders in less than a week and have to say as a cst rep myself for another company, this was worse experience I have ever had with online ordering and will be the last order I place with your company. I then looked online to see if I was the only person complaining and was surprised at all the SAME complaints. WAKE up, you are losing business left and write.
Why will K-mart refuse to honor sears items (on sale) if they have it in stock? The Bristol Tn store is in the same town as sears.
My husband and I had a terrible experience with customer service . The associates dont know how to treat customers , they are rude and dont know anything about customer service , professionalism ,people skills . We asked a associate that worked in the clothing area if she can help us find an item . And she yelled out no. and walked out. This happend in store 3475 killeen Texas. They need to fired people .
Same here! Purchased a pre paid card to to online shopping at Kmart for Cyber Monday and they canceled my order due to items not in stock. I have yet to be refunded and called the customer service line, called my local store, live chatted and sent emails...nobody there cares and I am furious! Good luck to everyone, I am tempted to go to the local news!!!
Yes i allways shop at Kmart in twin falls Idaho. In the year 2008, i was haveing problems geting around in my wheelchair electic wheelchair. I was aprooched by a bigger woman who said she was the boss in managment. I did voice some concerns about handicap accessability.Well it turns out when i left kmart, the heavy set woman went over to talk to sharon at the pharmacy, and she told sharen that i was truspassed from the store, that they didnt want my buisness, so sharon called my mother and told her what was going on. I went in to kmart the verry next day. No one have ever said anything negative to me, nor have they told me i was not welcome there. If some company does not want some one to do buisness in that store, well they need to tell me face to face. I am disabled, I am not verry happy about it but try todo my best to live each day to the fullest. I havent had any more problems with kmart, But i will never do buisness with sears. I bought a ringg in 2007 , and one of the diomands fell out, and that company would not onorthe warenty. I had the ring for less than one month.
I am writing to let everyone to be careful when ordering from K-mart and Sears I log on to my account to check the status of my order and other people info showed up on my account there credit card info their name address and phone number also the items that they brought I have contact kmart about this and they have not taking care of this issue I have yet to have someone call me back this happen on Tuesday and now its Thursday and these people info is still on my account I also called and let the other people involve know what was going on. Now I have to worry about if my info is out there on some one else account and if the people would be so honest and tell me or will they use my credit card info or if they stay in the same state I am in would they come by when I am gone and steal my stuff
I understand how everyone feels I've gone over a bunch of the reviews. I work for K-mart and the reason I'm here is to find out how to get in touch with the corporate office to file a complaint against management. I have worked for them for over a year now, and have not seen a single pay raise. I make minimum wage and the hours are shaky at best. I know about all your complaints and know why certain things happen (at least at my store) the layaway for a penny thing? yea that's because if there is no remaining balance on your account then it comes out of the computer system and then we can't find it. when I run layaway I make sure that I check the persons receipt and they MUST have and ID to claim it that matches. if not then I'm sorry, bring the person who's account your picking up with you PLEASE. The "The sale just started and you don't have any?!" is usualy because k-mart has sales all the time, every week. some things have been on sale for weeks. maybe not at the price advertised when you see it but the day before it could have been reg price $19.99 last week $15.99 and this week $12.99 well. people who came to the store got the jump and bought them when they were not advertised. then the problem is we're not told when the next shipments are coming in, or what's on them. no matter how many times you ask me I REALLY don't know. I don't have access to the shipping manifest. that's the managers and the receiving managers duty. do things get bad during the Christmas season? yes they do. if people shopped earlier then we wouldn't have the problems we do. the layaway department has been filled to bursting capacity since October. no it's not the best system, I personally hate it. they force me to work in it when it's not even the department I was hired for. which brings me to another point. I work on average in a day 2 to 3 departments for MINIMUM WAGE. and let me tell you it's not worth it. I get yelled at not just by customers but by management. customers wondering "well where is the person who works here? I want to check out NOW!" well then go up front. yea there may be a lines but that's how it works. some nights I have to run 2 registers AT THE SAME TIME! this is ridiculous as far as I'm concerned and should NEVER happen unless I'm a front store manager/supervisor and I'm not I'm a "Grunt" whenever I'm helping people I do everything in my power to make sure they get EXACTLY what they want/need including important information regarding the items. have a new flat screen TV but no cable? then your don't need a converter box, just an antenna. this product it too expensive? here is some alternatives for you. have a situation you don't know how to solve? here is what I have at my disposal and I will give you the best idea of how it all goes together and try and make it as inexpensive as I can. I live paycheck to paycheck. and sometimes I can't even do that. the economy sucks right now. and I still work for this place I call hell it doesn't help that people who come into my store for some reason must open everything to "See what it looks like" seriously?!?! look at the box! the description it right there! if you don't understand what it means or even take the time to try and read it you will know everything about it. people need to stop being lazy as a whole. on both sides of the fence. the consumer and the corporate. I go above and beyond the call of duty to help everyone who comes into my department and at this point I have a fan base. people come looking for me by name, if I'm not working that day they leave and come back another day because they know I'm NOT going to scam them. yea the management believes in the all mighty dollar and they don't want us to go into a lot of details with people. I've been told you just need to get them their stuff, ring them up and get them out. seriously? I've been yelled at by management because I "talk to the customers too much" isn't that what the job is about? if someone has a question I have to answer it. if they have 100 questions I have to answer them, regardless of how long I take with a customer there may be other people waiting but I give everyone the same attention so try and be patient please. and as for the star rating here I give myself 5 stars because I am the best at what I do. as for the company itself. -3 stars.
The Kmart management in Lewiston Idaho is very puzzeling to me. A large Walmart store just moved across the river to Clarkston Washington and we have a Kmart and a Shopko store left. If the store manager (Louren) of the Kmart store was any kind of a manger she would be making so much money for Kmart right now. My observation as a customer for some time now, is that she is very grumpy to her employees and doesn't come out of her office unless she is wanting to be mean to someone. Motivating her employees is not in her bag of tricks. It looks like she has worked there forever and is burnt out and perhaps needs to learn or use some skills that would get the employees and the customers excited about being there. This would be the time to capitalize on the business that used to be walmarts. I do not want to drive clear over to Clarkston to Walmart but I can't bring myself to go to a store that treats their people like she does. I know there are people out there in this valley that could and would be happy to make your store a success without any cost to your company. Too bad you don't fix this problem and make yourselves some money!!!
I did an online layaway a month ago. Today I received an email informing me that they were canceling my layaway due to the fact that they didnt have the items in stock!!! Its 2 week til xmas....and I'm left to run around trying to find these items at the last minute! They offered me no recourse,and completely left me a jam! I find it highlt unlikely that these items cannot be obtained prior to my 30 days!! I will no longer do business with Kmart or any of there corporations!
I was looking for a dehumidefier and called the store in Westland Mi. To be fair I should state that this was on 12/7/2011. I was on hold for 21 min. When someone did answer they asked me if I was looking for item..... I stated I wasn't and what dept I needed and was put on hold again. 3 min later a young man answered and stated that they were told they would not get the item but someone had said they would get the item the next day and to call back. I asked him if he could call the GC Mi store and see if they had it in stock (other stores will do this for you) and he said one min and the line went dead! I then called the Garden City Mi store and heve been on hold 15 min now......still on hold I feel bad for the K Mart corp and try to give them some business but with customer service like this they are losing it fast.
I am now through shopping at Kmart. After being the dumpiest department store around they have recently updated most stores. Unfortunately, the customer service is still horrible and their practice of canceling orders you placed online has hit a nerve with me. I recently placed 5 orders (separate) with them and all were canceled due to "not being in stock". Yet, their website stated the item was in stock and available for store pickup. 5, I repeat FIVE orders????? Unacceptable. I placed another order yesterday and received email confirmation and today and the order was no where to be found. Luckily, I have my emails confirming the orders and am now forwarding to the FTC my complaint and their false advertising and what I feel are underhanded practices of canceling orders and then wiping them from the system as they never existed and NOT responding to numerous emails.
Visited the Norfolk, VA Tidewater Drive store on 12/4 seeking an item in the Sunday newspaper ad flyer and walked the whole store looking for it. It was about 2pm. The store had light traffic. I didn't see any sales associates on the floor in my tour of the store. I stopped by customer service to ask where I might find it. The customer service associate said they didn't know and offered no further discussion or assistance. End of story.
Im writing because everytime i call the kmart store located at 7424 e.washington st. Indpls.in 46219 i get the same answer the hiring manager isnt in or shes doing payroll or wait till the other manager comes in or wait til tomorrow so i wait and call later or the next day and day after that and its the same thing no manager or hiring manager this is been going on for months. I am a very unhappy customer. I ordered a product from kmart.com for store pick-up. They sent me an email saying that the item is no longer available at that store, but when I look online now, it still says its available in the store. Now they are telling me that I would have to reorder my item and put a different store on there. I ordered my item when a great deal was out, and that deal ended on 12/03/2011. If I reordered it, then I wouldn't get it for the price I had with the deal. Why should I have to pay more now, when the store said they originally had it in stock. Why couldn't kmart ask if i wanted to pick it up from another store. It would save your customers time and money. But now I have to go and reorder the table that I was suppose to be picking up today. Kmart has the same products of another store, but for less. This is making me not want to get my furniture from kmart any more.
I decided to take my ring off of layaway to pay for my kids Christmas, and the lady said for me to just pay it off and than go and get a refund so that I didn't have to pay a cancellation fee, I ended paying 598.28 cents in cash and 48.74 on my credit card. The cashier refunded me the whole amount back onto my interest credit card. And now am told I have to wait till the credit card is refunded just to buy back the ring and charge me again this is bs. Now am going to be charged for it again for all the money I have already paid onto my card. Am pissed and it caused me to have no money and my pge shut off.
Went to three different K-mart stores to buy one of the Christmas Trees advertised as on sale for $139.00. None of the stores had them in stock. Today, December 4, there is an ad in the paper for the same tree at full price! Amazing how they got supplies in since Friday afternoon (when I was told there would not be a shipment until Monday, December 5) so that they can sell them for full price now!
Kmart has quite a scam going on. Every time someone goes to pick up their layaway items, even if it has been paid in full online and you have a receipt that says $0.00 due, they insist that the balance due is one cent. Imagine how those pennies could add up! I protested this and was told that it is to protect me, because anyone could come in and pick up my layaway! How's that again? Couldn't anyone walk in and pay a penny too? Did not make any sense to me! It usually takes them about 1 hour to find a layaway item when you go to pick it up, too. About 4 different employees came up to me intermittently asking me what my item looked like. Do I really need to explain what a set of golf clubs looks like? Hello? They finally gave up this time and went and got my item off the floor, which looked nothing like the item I ordered online. Never, never again! As I was leaving the store, I felt sorry for the poor folks in line ten deep at the check out counters up front where 3 cashiers were working the Christmas rush!
It sure sounds like false advertising to me. You folks need to unite as one and put all of your data into one big lawsuit demanding action
