I have had three (3) aggravating experiences at our K-Mart, McKnight Rd, Pittsburgh, Pa. After the 2nd visit to K-mart and the service desk they gave me a $10. coupon for merchandise (Health, Beauty or Grocery) I tried to use this last night and purchased $34. worth of cosmetics. The cosmetics were buy one and get one at 50% off. I presented my $10. coupon (no limit on purchase) and it was denied because the products were buy one & get one 50% off. The coupon stated I only needed to purchase $10 or more but since this stipulation supposedly was listed on this coupon it was denied. I left the cash register and all products, coupons, etc. mad and told the manager he would "never see my face in this store again" - his reply to me was "have a nice day" - I feel this was a very petty move on K-marts part especially since there is so much competition out there. I took my business to W-Mart this morning. Very poor customer service, poor management and untrained help.

Hello To take the time to even write this email i have to be upset on Saturday i placed a order# 283132542 for Just kidz saxophone and a just kidz drum set and a separate order for a Cars tent thats another story. i thought the ordering process was fine everything seemed to be in stock because my order was placed the next day i received a email stating attention needed for kmart order my order had been canceled because the items no longer available how so if my order was placed anyhow i went back online to replace the order yet again order placed #279264763 with no problem also had a agent named Rinalyn. C who confirmed items were in fact in stock.I received a email later that day stating again my order canceled because the items were no longer in stock i would really like the items to be shipped to me at this point because as of 11/07 2011 8:47pm pt i still show i am able to place the order for those items.On the other story the cars tent received email 11/06/2011 stating ready for pick up went to kmart 5850 s Vermont avenue la ca 90044 on 11/07/2011 to pick up tent. when i got to customer service there was a small line but it was nothing i proceeded to advise the sales rep about my order she asked for my name pulled my order and got on the phone and yelled some codes and hung up she didnt day anything i said so i wait to the side she stated yes i waited 10 mins then the other sales rep pick the phone up and yelled again in the phone that same code i then waited another 10 mins i was getting a little upset so i asked what was going on she the rep stated they cant find your receipt im thinking for the last 20 mins you have been looking for my receipt come on now. I ended up waiting from 6:44-7:27 waiting for this ready to pick up item i work 5 days a week 9-6 and dont have alot of free time so i shop online i spent more time waiting for my ready to pick up item then going to the store and just waiting in line and buying it i am so disappointed in the service and this was the first time going to this kmart as i just moved in this area. i have a kmart gift card . which i used to place the order with please send items to 3435 wilshire blvd ste 2010 los angeles ca 90010. i appreciate your time in this matter also i email mran@customerservice.sears.com which was no help at all does the BBB need to get involed for you to assist the customers like they are suppose to be assisted and not just given some kind of generic response Tiana Wheeler

If I could get a Supervisor to call me back It would be a miracle....I have a serious problem with an order and I was directed to a chat with a person who could not even find my email address!! If A 0 Stars could be given at a company, that is what I would give!! I asked to speak with a supervisor and I got the 800 number....Is no one supervising the people they have servicing customers??? I have one last recourse....Walmart and target take cash don't they!!! That's where my money will go this year!!

I needed to refill a prescription and hoped to do so by phone. I called the Penn Plaza KMart general number 12 times and was disconnected 11 times without ever speaking to anyone. It sounded as though someone was picking up the phone, putting it on hold and then picking up to disconnect. The one time I did get an alleged human being to answer; first he did not even say "KMart." He picked up the phone and grunted. I asked if this was KMart and he grunted. I asked for the pharmacy and he grunted some inaudible response in a questioning tone. I had to say "Pharmacy, please" several more times before being transferred and disconnected again. I finally went to the store and was told they would have to check with the IT Department and would look into the matter. What is truly sad is that the folks that work in the pharmacy are great people who do their jobs really well. As far as the rest of the employees are concerned, one is left to wonder.

harrison Ohio store manager is the biggest jerk I've ever encountered in shopping. I stopped going in this store a few years ago, but went in 11/6/11 for the friends and family sale. He was so busy belittling the employees, and being rude to customers who wanted to know why the discount wouldn't come off, I left a cart of over 300.00 of merchandise at the register. I will NEVER GO IN THERE AGAIN. He also needs to take a breath mint and get his nasty teeth fixed before he speaks in anyones face again

My husband and I have been trying to buy a 32" tv with DVD for the last week. It was in the Sunday flyer. We went to the Clearlake, Springfield, Il. store on Monday and they had no TV. We called the Wabash Avenue store and were told they had four. We went the next day and they had four of a different model. They had none of the sale TV's and said that they never had them and didn't know when they would have them. What good is it to advertise a low price on non-existent merchandise? We used to love K-mart. Not any more.

My husband and I were sent to the St. Albans, WV Kmart from our local Kmart to purchase a television. The salesperson called ahead to confirm the item was there, in fact she was told there were 3. When we arrived there were none. The manager, Ralph, made us 2 seperate offers (on other televisions). We agreed to the first and then he turned around and changed his mind. So, then he made a second offer on another TV. We agreed to that and went to the register to pay for the television, then he proceeded to call(on the phone) and change his mind a second time. Needless to say we left without a television. I did not make a scene, but I did call to tell him that we were unhappy and he treated us wrong. I ask for his last name and he refused. He said I didn't need it! I feel a company is no better than its imployees. So this experience tells a great deal about Kmart!!!!

I went to Kmart around 6a.m. looking for their 2 ton jack kit that was on sale $20 off. It was out of stock so I went to the register and asked for a rain check. The cashier had no idea what to do so she called the manager. He said that they can only give a rain check with the item and to come back when it was in stock and let customer service know. This didn't make any sense to me but they didn't give me any other choice. I go back a week later and customer Service argued with me about when I was there to buy it because I said it was the last day of the sale and I work at night so I was there when customer service was closed. She said the sale ends at midnight. Okay? I was still there while it was on sale and there weren't any in stock and I was misinformed about the rain check. Customer service said the manager should have given me a rain check that night and refused honor the price. The same manager that night also didn't know anything about what was on sale. I bought a bag of apples that were supposed to be on sale but registered at their regular price. The cashier didn't know anything. The tried saying that price was for clearance apples of which they had none. The sale was clearly obvious. Not the first time I've had problems with Kmart but they will be the last because I will never go back. Poor customer service, poor employee training, poor pricing system, no responsiblity

I would love to see Kmart price match Walmart prices. I see Flat Screen TV w/DVD Player 32" at Kmarts $289.99, Walmart 32"w/DVD Player $228.00. Would love to buy this at Kmart. Love shopping at Kmart. Where will I be shopping for a 32"?

If there were an option for zero stars I would have clicked on that! Your company is the most poorly run company in the United States, perhaps the World. You don't care about your customers, there is nobody on the salesfloor in the evenings and your store managers are all idiots. Seems that when you went bankrupt, all of the good people left. Or maybe you tossed the good employees out to cut costs. None of the Kmarts in my area are ever busy. I was there two days ago in the Mt. Pleasant store. The store looked pretty good, but there was nobody around to help. Your company used to have great service about twenty to thirty years ago. Now you guys are just the bottom of the barrel. In the last thirty years, your company has gone from "top-notch" to the worst ever. The executives that you hired in the mid 90's were not experienced and did not have the customer in mind. Why don't you guys just quit while you still have a shred of common sense left??

the customer service is good at the k-mart in riverton wy but the manager Bruce there is unprofessional and rude to not only his employees but the customers as well i have been hurried off by him while trying to ask a question about a sales product and have witnessed him on several occasions yelling or talking down to his employees Kmart Corporate needs to evaluate this guy no wonder this kmart is always under-staffed

I recently ordered a gift card at Kmart.com. I knew they would give me a hard time because I had it sent to my son's address in the states. I will be visiting him soon. I sent them an email explaining that I am out of the country and this has happened before and that I was confirming via email that I did indeed place the purchase. They emailed me back saying I would have to call them to confirm the order. I wrote back: "Kmart sure goes out of their way to make things hard for the consumer! Tell me why you are waiting for my credit card information to be verified. I paid through PayPal. It is their responsibility to do this. You don't even have my credit card info. I never provided it to you. If you look back in your records you will see that I bought gift cards in the past and had them sent to the same address as this one. Are you that disorganized that your Account Services department would rather spend several phone calls then look on the computer to see previous sales? If they don't have these records available, why not? Kmart service needs help! If you can't work with your customers better than this, you can cancel my order and never have to worry about me ordering again or even setting foot in a Kmart store."

I used to work at the KMART location here in Little Rock, AR for 11 years. But quite in June 2011 because I had problems with the store manager. But that store manager is no longer there. So I am trying to go back to work since that store manager I had problems is no longer there. But there is a problem because they put a code in the computer that I was terminated. But I was not fired I just quite becasuse of the store manager. I would love to go back to work there because the people I worked with I got along with and enjoyed working with them. I was picking up a layaway in Lansing, IL and because the rewards card was used it was in husbands name. I had the receipt but he had to pick it up. I brought him in with his oxygen and wheelchair, paid for the layaway and returned everything. I am also moving all of our prescriptions. DO NOT SHOP THERE. They hire a bunch of idiots. The personal manager was there and I still couldn't pick up the layaway, oh did I say I used to work there. I will shop at Walmart or target and get my scripts from Walgreens. I was only going there to be loyal we see where that got me.

I have been to K-mart store 4743 twice this week...I must say this store is poorly run the sale prices are never given and you find out later you were charged the regular price ...was down there today Oct 5th 2011 and they did it again but I caught it So while I was in line while the girl went to check the price again. People in line started talking about the things that had happened to them too ...I am afraid to go back some of the stories were scarey The way jobs are today why do you put up with people running a store so poorly I would look into to this if I were you this used to be a great store until Sears took it over now it stinks. Will think twice about going back I talked to the girl at the desk she was talking to someone on the phone ...and I bet it had nothing to do with the store. She gave me poor excuses about what was happening to me like she said maybe the sale was over I said no the girl at the reg. said I was right and the sale price was right. So these sale prices for the week were never programed into the reg. People are getting cheated...if this continues I will contact someone higher up.

I live in Ohio and went to a local store here in Harrison to ask for a donation for our local elementary carnival. I was told to drop off some paperwork. I did this, and the manager didn't call me. I called 1 week later to follow up and the manager of the store snippily told me he hadn't seen it. I took the information to him again on that night. He said he would submit it and let me know. This has been 2 1/2 weeks now. I have called the store and he has been nothing but quick to get me off of the phone and tell me he hasn't heard anything. He will check. When I called corporate today, they put me on a line stating they do not donate things. Why couldn't the manager have told me that???? That would have saved me time, gas money and energy trying to jump through hoops to help out our local school. The manager does not have a happy staff and they all just said "Good luck" when they said I had to speak to him. I really wish this could be addressed in a better way.

Pikeville, KY.....I must say, this policy you have about not being able to exchange an item without a receipt is completely ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband received a pair of pants, 2 belts and some shirts as a gift from his mother. He needed different sizes in the pants and belt....all I simply wanted to do was exchange them for a different size, and just because I didn't have the receipt I was told by the cashier who was working at the service desk "I don't know what to tell you." When I asked for the manager, she paged him and after about 15 minutes of waiting (with a 5 year old and a 2 year old), he called her back, she turned her back to me and talked to him in a whisper. Then about 10 minutes later a lady walked up to the service desk and said that the manager had sent her up to deal with my problem (she was just another cashier, no management title was named on her badge) and she basically sugar coated the same thing the other girl told me. So now my husband is stuck with pants and 2 belts which totals 48.00, that he can just sit and look at! It's RIDICULOUS!!!! I will never step foot in another K-Mart store!! Wal-Mart will be my store by choice from now on!!!

I was insulted and name called by a security agent at the jersey city on route 440 store sunday afternoon around 2pm. The security agent was a african american. as we walked out of the store with the shopping basket there are no gates or signs saying you cant remove baskets, I am disabled and use the basket to lean on and carry my packages to my car. this agent ran after me yelling hey you, hey you, the one with the limp, you cant take the basket from here. i was appalled it the ada hears about her she will be sued as well as kmart, so i didnt answer they she yelled ass hole. my son and i turned around and said who are you calling an asshole, she said i didnt call you an asshole i said some people are assholes, i said as in me? she just shook her head.i cant beleive you hire people with such prejudices and i will never shop there again.

I will never shop at K-mart again. My son got a toy for his birthday that had a one star review because it was dangerous. I tried to return it unopened and didn't have a reciept. They said they could not even exchange it. I never was a fan of K-mart for their poor customer service and will never be!
