K-Mart in Cornelia,Ga is one of the worst stores in Georgia.They used to be one of the best.The people are rude and not helpful.I got a pair of shoes as a gift for Christmas and they were a half size to small,so I went to see if I could exchange them and of course they said NO.I didn't have a receipt but the tags were still on the shoes and in the original box.In my opinion k-mart should have closed.This is not the first time before even with a receipt they refused to let me exchange a purse.

Seems from reading the other comments there's a common theme. Kmart is poorly managed. I do prefer shopping at Kmart only because it's across the street from me instead of traveling across town to the Walmart store. I have experienced on more then one occasion asking about a item I'm looking for and the response has been a finger pointing in the direction of where the employee thinks it is. Target on the other hand for the most part will walk me to the item I'm inquiring about. Target in my area is clean and orderly where as Kmart has always looked a bit dirty and disorderly. I've experienced an employee arguing with me, one on the phone while I was checking out, and also one texting while I was checking out. The other problem I continually have is when using checks I get a handful of paper when the transaction is finished. Enough already. Now regarding prices. Kmart use to be the place to go to get a good deal. I've noticed their prices can be higher than Target and Marsh.

I WILL NEVER SHOP AT KMART AGAIN. I PLACED A ORDER WITH THEM ON NOV 25 2011, NEVER RECEIVED THE ITEM, AND ASKED FOR MY MONEY BACK..STILL TO THIS DAY AFTER IVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG I STILL HAVENT GOT MY MONEY BACK...POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE..

I work for store 9648. There is ALOT of favoritism in this store. If your not one of his favorites you get treated like dirt. You get snubbed and ignored. There is alot that goes on in this store that I know for a fact corporate nor the district manager knows about. If our manager gets wind that the district manager is coming to our store he goes haywire. Things that he normally lets go he makes sure it gets done but he pushes it off on 5 people when our store has over 90 employees! I for one am tired of doing everyones job in this store and when it comes down to it, those people get credit for it. My district manager doesn't even know who I am much less the amount of work that I have to do in this store! He honestly thinks its a team effort in this store but in reality things are falsified! I truely wish this man could come in our store one day without anyone knowing he is coming and just see for himself who does what in this store instead of letting the manager know he is coming so that the manager tells everyone MR. SO IN SO IS COMING TO THE STORE TOMORROW, I WANT TO SEE EVERYONE BUSY WHILE HE IS HERE! IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO THEN FIND SOMETHING TO KEEP YOU BUSY! There is not a day in this store that there isn't something to do!!! I really think the manager of 9648 needs to be evaluated and employees need to be talked to and get their feedback on how he does as a manager! 1

On 1/7/12 I visited the Lancaster SC store for some after Christmas sells. As I am disabled and ride a motorized chair, the first thing I do is look for the basket carriers that most all Deot. Stores have. To my dismay I could not find one. I checked with the clerk and she did not know what I was talking about, and was less than concerned about my needs. She did call CS and was told they no longer had them, that the New Store Manager had thrown them all away when he came on-board. I was completely blown away! I told the clerk to let her store manager know that the disabled had money and liked to shop as well, and if they wanted to continue to compete with Wal-mart they would need to make some changes! Has anyone ever wondered why kmart might be getting bad reviews? I can tell you part of the reason..... management. I have seen nothing good come from the management teams. If there is something good in them that person is never recognized for it. Instead they just get to deal with all of the complaints that they did not cause. I dont know about you, but if the employees are happy and get treated in a half way decent manner than maybe there would not be so many customer complaints. My commitment to kmart and their customers was just short of excellent. I am a department lead for a few departments. I enjoyed working with the public and for a short while I enjoyed working for my "leaders". It did not take me long to realize you could not pay me enough to be anything like them. There is something to be said when new hires get more hours than your leads. Can you really blame that on tough times? Is it okay for your store managers to have you in tears? I can keep goig but it is most likely a waste of time, but the next time someone complains it is not always the fault of the person at the bottom of the ladder.

i am a former employee of the kmart on addison in chicago. i have only been there 3 months and i see how badly they treat their employees AND customers!!! i was hired as a team lead for the little caesars, in this time, they kkept having me open, in which it took around an hour and a half to prep, make the pizzas, etc and thats when the other opening person actually showed up!! the employees never come to work and i was constantly left alone!! i was not allowed to repremand the insubordinant employees, and the managers refused to also. cleaning is supposed to be done at night after closing (major cleaning with chemicals). well i was constantly harrassed my management to pull out the chemicals and clean around the customers and food, which my response was always "im not doing that, you cant have chemicals around customers and food". well one day i hurt my back at work (the store manager never wrote an incident report, he kept "forgetting"), and went to the hospital and got papers that said i couldnt work for 4 or 5 days, well the store manager texted me and told me he was taking me off the schedule for the whole week!!!! ok, the day i returned, i gave them a paper from my doctor regarding my work restrictions and also the other opener showed up hours late. well every day after that, they constantly harrassed me about bending and scrubbing the dough maching, stretching over tables to clean walls, carrying heavy boxes out of the cooler, scrubbing the makeline, etc. well for some of that i told them i wasnt doing it while the customers and food was around, and the rest i told them my doctor said i couldnt. so the last day i came in, right after i punched in, they called me to the back and tried to write me up!!!!! for listening to my doctor and not spraying chemicals around customers and food!!!! i refused to sign and he told me if i had restrictions and couldnt be 100% than i shouldnt be working there!!! i was appalled!!! is he really that stupid!!!! also the store manager is extremely fake!!! we had a broken ice machine for at least 2 months (because he said kmart would pay for it), so we had a sign up saying "no ice" and every time corporate would come, he would tear it down to make them think hes doing a good job. also when corporate isnt there, he turns half the lights out in the store to "save energy". our light bulbs were going out everywhere because he didnt want to pay for light bulbs, but he fixed them when corporate was coming!!! i once had an employee yelling at me in front of customers because she was trying to take an early break and we were busy, i paged the store manager and he never responded(like usual) so i walked to his office and told him what was goin on, he didnt do anything about it, except yell at me when a customer complained beecause she had to wait. im sorry, i tried to get my employee to work and when she kept yelling at me in front of customers i walked away!!! i thought i did the right thing!!! he would tell us not to fill up the hot box with the hot n ready pizzas, and than yell at us when he would get a customer complaint that they had to wait!!! he is more concerned with being cheap and his end of the year bonus than customers!!! also he told me he was hiring another manager because my employees didnt respect me!!! ummm how can they respect me when he never repremands them? he almost didnt fire an employee when she call a customer a b***h and threw nachos at her!! i warned him about that employee, and what did he do? nothing!!! that could have been prevented, if he actually cared about customers. i have contacted my attorney and might be about to sue kmart and that store manager (olu) for his constant harrassment and trying to make me do work that my doctor said i couldnt, and than retaliating against me, and forcing me to quit because it was a hostile work environment that i had a couple meetings with him about, but things just kept getting worse. i am a single mom with 3 kids and needed that job, thanks olu!!!

I ordered a couch in OCTOBER for delivery to my kid in college--and paid a "delivery" fee for that honor. The delivery company would only bring the couch to the curb in front of the apartment. Did I say "the couch?" I mean HALF of the couch. I have been the soul of patience throughout this hideous process, conversing via email and phone with people who read or send "customer service" scripts to me without actually providing customer service. The promise to investigate the half delivery was lost and now we are starting over. WTF. I wish there were a negative rating for Kmart on this page.

Hi i have a couple of questions. One i have been working at store 4332 for around 2 years now. I have been trained to do most of the job titles there. The reason is that there is a store manager, a guy in recieving, and their son in electronics. my queston is is that possible? i didnt think any family member could work together. Secondly their son had just recently came back for christmas break and it seemed like they favored him more hours then me throughout. I have worked there and i told the my schedule availability for 3 weeks ahead of of time. There is definitelt favortism in this store

K-Mart in Winston Salem, NC is the worst place to shop. Long story short: just left there and was trying to purchase a few Christmas lights that were on sale. The large sign had lights 75% off. The lights I was trying to purchase had a price of $4.19 on the shelf. Therefore; 75% off would mean %1.05 each. The items rang up for $1.67 each. I told the cashier that wasn't correct. First she said, these are only 50% off. I had to beg her to check with the manager and guess what-they were supposed to be 75% off. Then she argued with me that $1.67 was 75% off. This is how she explained it: 1/2 of 4.00 is 2.00 and then take 25 cents off and you get $1.67. NEW MATH! After much frustration, I said "forget it" and she responded, "good, leave". When the manager spoke with the cashier, the cashier lied to her about what she said and when I corrected her, she made a rude comment about me. No one did anything. I don't shop at K-mart much anyway because it is unclean, prices ring up different from shelf price all the time and finally, the cashiers are hateful. I won't give K-mart or Sears another penny of my money.

Kmart is one of the best stores in the market. Walmart refurbishes and recycles their products and put them back on the shelves for resale. Kmart has always been a fresh store with new product lines on their shelves. Kmart needs to restructure and people need to be in support of a really great store. Kmart needs to find out what Walmart strategy is because it is obvious Walmart is in competition by being in the same locations as Kmart Stores. Kmart needs to keep some of their stores in tough competition because they really are better than Walmart. Walmart owns Sam's Club which is a reason why Walmart can have cheaper prices, not better quality items. Cheaper isn't always better. It dictates to the people that they cannot afford good quality at reasonable prices. An insult to consumer shoppers. What is also apparent is that Kmart does care about the customers while Walmart cares only about the dollar it makes not the quality it produces. There is a monopoly trend going on. Check it out. It's worth it for Kmart to listen. A Monopoly of Walmart Stores or a free enterprise and quality select products with Kmart. Check it out, its there to be seen.

I love Kmart here in Huntsville Alabama . All the people that work there on very nice. I been shopping there since that place open up. I pray it stays open. I hate Walmart and I want our Kmart to stay open .

you need different management in mishawaka stores. Its always unorganized nothing is in ther place or there is a lot of empty shelves and real bad service. When you ask questions no one knows the answers . one cachier working at busy times . Go back to the old k-mats with deli and resturant and sewing needs.I hear npeople all the time say they would shop at k-marts if they would of stayed the way it was. But they never have what you need.A lot of there prices are higher than jc pennies,K-marts electronics last olny a year if that. Go back to the old k-marts and new management and some home improvement and stuff people need for stuff we dont really need we will go to walmarts if needed

The fall of Kmart stores in Puerto Rico is due to the marriage between Kmart-Martha Steward products. I have heard lots of complaints from all my friends regarding these products. I don't say the products are bad, I believe they are good products but the style is simple and bored, we do not like them. In Puerto Rico we like things very trendy and not so traditional. I, myself stopped buying at K-mart all my homegood and home produts and moved to Walmart looking for the variety of trendy household, home and kitchen products they offer. SOMEONE should revise this and compare sales prior and after this merge with Martha Steward and you will find that what I am saying makes lots of sence. Will love it if Kmart will be what it was before. Just past this one on to Mr. D'Ambrossio, I am pretty sure he will at least take a look at the numbers of before and after.

Hopefully the Kmart in Pikeville,Ky is one to be closed that is the Nastiest and most horrible place to shop Rude associates and Managers. & The prices never ring up right and all there registers are either tore up or something is wrong with them! Its a waste of taken up space! Put something better in there!

I am really disappointed in the way I have been treated by Kmart.com customer service and claims department. Kmart is where I did all my Christmas shopping this year and have always supported the Kmart/Sears stores. I was overcharged an extra $112.94 that I shouldn't have had to pay on my order for Christmas. The customer service department has given me the run around and I still haven't received a refund. They have treated me as if I did something wrong when it was completely their fault. They have given poor service to say the least. I use to love to shop with kmart but they have a made a enemy out of me! :-(

Since last month, I have noticed that even though I decline a gift card for $5, I have been charged for it anyway. This has also happened to some of my family members as well. The last time I was at Kmart, there was only one line open. Luckily, another cashier opened her line (although it was done very reluctantly). While she was checking me out, she told me that they are told to push the gift and rewards card because if they do not make a sale of these items their hours would be cut. I think this gift and reward program is a scam and deceptive practice conducted against the consumer. I will not be shopping at Kmart again.
