I was at your battle creek store on capital ave. they had 2 registers open and on both the cashiers were out in the store doing price checks for customers trying to checkout. this store is noted for it's bad service and the clerks don't seem to know how to run the registers,of course they are very old . also I noticed a general bad attitude today. the people behind me just left their stuff and walked out. although they tried to get some one to care. this store needs a complete overhall including people who care that you took your time to come in and shop.

I was just in the Columbus ga Kmart store number4198 and I went up to the customer service to ask about my military discount and then explained about there being blood on the bathroom floor in the woman's bathroom and also there was feces on another toilet and Gid knows what on another toilet and toilet paper from one end to the other end of the bathroom. She explains after she would have someone clean it then when I turned my back was laughing about it to the other customers! That's outrageous my son is 8 years old and thankfully he didn't have to go number 2 but he is a child and that is unsanitary and unacceptable!! We military go to the kmarts because of the discount you do give us, but then when you get disrespected right at the front like it was a laughing manner that is very rude! How would she like it bright her kids to the store in such filth! I love how people these days take things seriously and have the most outrageous customer service possible! Maybe Kmart needs a makeover on customer service and cleaning skills!

Unbelievable: first off, trying to find the price of a bag of shredded mulch on K-Mart's webpage is ridiculous - you get mowers, mower blades, etc. Never did see a bag of mulch. So I called the K-Mart in Prince Frederick, MD - I was hung up on four times, the phone was never answered three times, three disconnected calls, and three times they did answer and transferred me to lawn and garden and no one there picked up - it became a game to me to see how far K-Mart would go to not want my business. 30 minutes to find an answer. As for Wal-mart - someone answered on the first call and answered my question right then and there. Wal-mart's a bit higher, but they got my business. I tried to give K-Mart my business b/c the store is empty, Wal-mart is packed. But Wal-mart will get my business - about $400 worth. Never again, K-Mart!!!

this is not the first time this has happen(price not marked)I was in the garden section and the clerk was waiting on someone else I needed a price on a trellis she said she would have to scan it,well I waited 10 mins.so I told her if I was her I would b concerned about losing her job,because they lose customers that do not have time 2 stand around waiting for a price check or lookin for a scanner,that usually do not work any way.If this happen one more time I will shop else where,,,know wonder Kmarts is failing.....

I hate kmart! For the employee who put five stars for kmart ur crazy an if its to much work an not enough employees then you should say something because if your are not going to have a good attitude or be in a good mood when helping a customer then something is wrong with you or the store.my main complaint is when I visited kmart this morning I have been looking for a portable air conditioner for days I go into kmart an see about 5 of them with a price of 49.99 at the bottom now this item was not misplaced by a customer becuz there were like I said FIVE of them on the shelf of course when I get to the register along with my other things it rings up 300.00 of course they wouldn't give me the price of 49.99 because its not the item its priced for so I had my words about that then they wana charge me 4.00 for a basket that was on clearance for 1.00 because they said it keeps ringing up for the regular price an too dam lazy to go check the price so i went cuz i have no time to sit there wit my 10 month old getting cranky so finally they gave me the clearance an was so glad to get the help outta there. I went to Kmart west in Duluth, MN. To my surprize the item which was a garden swing with canopy was not going to be at kMart. The guy who they called back to help me, looked like he just got out of bed, had no Idea of what I was talking about , went to get an ad from the front of store. said oh where not getting that. I asked if he could find out if they would be comming in soon or what. he walked away mumbling somthing, I wathced him walk the isles in toy department for 15 minutes, not talk to anyone or on the phone or anything. then came back to me and said nope not getting it. walked away. this was the most rude crappy thing that any one could have done. dont want sales I guess. I understand cutbacks ect. but really, the store over the hill colosed because of sales, but the one thing the store over the hill had was cleanlesness, and employees who cared and want to be there to work for the customer. West Duluth store is a SLUM store and should br closed down. Emploees dont care, and apparttly neither do the managers. There are people out there who do want to work maybe there should be an overhaul at kamrt so it can be an A store instead of a F store!! 'THINK ABOUT IT.

Was in Augusta Maine store today purchasing plants. Only one table of plants had a price and after we got thru the line(10-15 minute wait)we saw that price on the table was wrong, I saw the receipt and realized we were charged a ridiculous price for all of our plants. I wouldn't have bought any of them, but I figured if that one table of plants were marked down, they all must be. The line was way too long to go back and return, so I walked away, disgruntled again. Store only had 3 lines open and they didn't seem to care. Also, NEVER have liked all the questions you have to answer to make a purchase, about the sears charge, discover charge, kmart rewards and current charity. I made the mistake of saying I will recommend that store to a friend, since I read my receipt, I wouldn't recommend it to a friend or enemy.

I WAS RECENTIY IN THE KMART IN BAKERSFIELD THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY BAD AND THE WATTING IS TO LONG TO BUY STUFF PEOPLE WORKING IN SERVICE ARE VERY RUDE TO CUSTOMERS AND DONT CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGINA.

Who regulates the prices at Kmart? I purchased a bottle of Cosamin DS (joint supplement) from K-mart for $34.00 and some change. This same bottle of Cosamin DS, same number of pills, sold at Walmart for $18.00 and some change!!! What's the deal? I need to talk to whoever sets these prices. Can someone help? Thanks! Kmart has the worst customer service ever. I love shopping there for the products but i dislike all the people. They are rude and never wanna help me out, they are lazy, and so on . I honestly have never been anywhere where they are soo rude . Kmart in riverside, ca.

I'm Really pissed off with this corporation. Iwas given a Bench Top Brand jig-saw variable speed jig-saw w/ quick clamp PP/G30, 9931-F, BT-400 from my grandmother & the part that holds the saw blade in broke. I took the saw to my local K-Mart store to exchange it. I went to the hardware department & theassociate that worked in that dept didn't know anything about tools, or hardware and probaly has never used a tool before in his life. He told me to go to the front and talk to the management. So, I did this. They paged the assistant manager to the front. When she got there she didn't know anything either and didn't have the authority to do anything. so, Why did they even call her and waste my time? She then called the Store manager to the front. When he got there and after explaining the problem a 3rd time and waiting for 15 to 20 minutes for each of these people to get the the front to talk to me. He said that he couldn't to do an exchange but he could and would text me the website to irder the part I need tro fix the saw. Well, he never did and all I want is a jig-saw that works and a customer service department that will help me. This particular jig-saw has been discontinued and I can't use. I asked the Store manager if he could just exchange the jig-saw for the $24.00 one that is now available and he said that he couldn't do that. I need this tool to make a living, & I'm tired of the run around that the store gave m. I wasted approximately 2 hours in theis store trying to get help. Now, here's what I need form you! I need a gift card for at leasdt $50.00 so that I can get a jig-saw to make a living. I'm really pissed off and diasappointed with this corporation and the way that I was treated along with the toital lack of customer service! I moved to Brevard, NC 2 years ago & I have shopped at K-Mart almost every week. Since moving to Brevard, I have done my primary shopping at K-Mart and I spend close to $200.00 every week in your Brevard, NC store! Brevard is a small town, we have K-Mart and Wal-Mart, that's about it for department stores. Brevard is a tourist destination so we have many local stores, caterING mostly to the tourist. I have chosen K-Mart over Wal-mart for my shopping needs because it is closer, it's less crowded and I like the clothing and some other mdse. I received a "bat wing, lacy short tunic that had a feather necklace that came with the tunic". As it was a gift, I didn't have the receipt. The girl in customer service had expressed a non-caring attitude since I came into the store. I had called the previous evening, talked with a nice lady in the junior's dept. I described the item, Bongo name brand, and she knew exactly which product I had called about. This lady told me that the tunic was $14.00. My Mom confirmed that $14.00 price when I spoke with her last night, as her purchase price. I actually wanted to swap for a different tunic that was longer and costs $24.95. My Mom had just given this item to me as a gift last Sunday as a Mother's day gift. Your associate at the customer service desk only gave me credit for $8.00. Well, I took the store credit, then walked directly to the juniors dept, picked up another tunic exactly like the one I had just returned and received the $8.00 credit for. And, by golly, the price tag on the tunic, in your store, exactly the same...was priced at $14.00! She still would not correct the problem. I got extremely mad! I think the girl pocketed MY $6.00. I know that $6.00 bucks is not much money, but I don't make much money either so it would take me one half hour working my job to make $6.00. Let me just say again---I took her a tunic to the customer service desk from a display in the Jr. Dept. exactly like the one I returned and she gave me only $8.00 and sure enough, the one hanging in the store for sale was price tagged at $14.00!!! This is not right! She stole my money, stole it for/from K-Mart or was too lazy and uncaring, to admit and correct her mistake. K-Mart OR Lauren,(I think was her name) at the customer service desk owes me money and Lauren(if that is indeed her name) should be FIRED IMMEDIATELY! She was worse than rude and I am K-Marts customer. She represented your store in a most horrible manner. Shame on her! I cannot believe, after this ordeal, I still wanted the longer tunic at $24.99. I should have owed K-mart a difference of $10.99 - but, instead I paid $16.99! This is just totally WRONG! I know a lot of people, many of them very wealthy neighbors of mine, just might need to know exactly how I was treated and how disappointed I am in K-mart. And, news travels fast in a small town. I shall also have this situation published in the "Around Town" section of our local area newspaper unless K-mart responds to me within one week. This entire incident should never have happened! The reason I am giving the Kmart in Muskegon, MI a one star rating is because there is no O rating. This store needs to get a manager whom knows how to run a store. There is no one in many departments to assist you. We were in the Garden Center today had items to purchase and know one there. My husband went back in the store to ask for help they called someone and know one came. The gate and door to the the Garden Center were both open, we could have walked out and not paid and know one would have known. We left the items at the checkout and walked out. You should put someone under cover in there or just close the store. I'm sure there are some very good employee's there but MOST need to be retrained as well as the Manager and learn what the word "CUSTOMER SERVICE" means. This is not my first incident with this store. I will not be going back.

Several weeks ago I over $200.00 worth of items on layaway.I set my checking account up to automatically send them 50.75. Today I checked to see if they had gotten my check and when I finally got layaway the woman rudeley told me that My account was still delinquent. I told her about putting it on my bill pay and she said that something had been sent back the day before, it was a large envelope. She connected me to the office who told me that yes they had received a check the day before but it did not have a Bank's name on it and they sent it back. The person said it was probably my account because it was from down state. I asked for the manager and she said that she was it. Number 1. I have never had any one not accept from my online payment account. Number 2. They did not even log the check so they could n inform me for sure it was mine.. I understand they could not call me because my phone number has changed but they could have called the check's number. I canceled my lay away which now has cost me a total of $20.00 for the fees. You can bet that I will not be making any more lay a ways at the Cheboygan,Mi store and probably not shopping there. I consider it poor business to not resolve a problem.

Kmart is totally ridiculous!! The only reason I work here is to help out my daughter!! I've never received an evaluation and let's not get started on a pay raise!!!! LOL The prices are too expensive on most things and the company has the audacity to want the workers to push high interest credit cards and pay a lousy 2 bucks for each app!! The district manager is a joke but he really thinks he is God in the flesh!!! They want people to do all these task for minimum wage and cuts hours if we don't get rewards cards or credit apps!!!! I believe almost everyone I work with is fed up with kmart and their foolishness!!!! They either are looking for other jobs or have job interviews this week!!! Though I hate for people that have invested years into kmart as loyal employees, with the money we make we don't have as far to fall as some of the higher ups (but I'm sure they have a way to bail themselves out)but I do hope that on the way down that it does hurt them pretty badly; just like the employees have been hurt!!!!!

I have to ask this question of all of you. Do you think that it is isolated to Kmart? If so, you need to dig your head out of the sand. Yes, they do at times have bad customer service and yes it does sometimes take awhile for them to get to a department to wait on you. But lets talk about retail in general, it has been the hardest hit of any retail box store in the nation. Think about it, when the iternet started, nobody thought it would catch on. And what happend, stores began to close, layoff workers, thus service has suffered. Think about it, how many things do you buy online instead of going into a store? I know I buy all my Christmas online, I cant tell you the last time I was in a store to buy Christmas gifts. To "Camper Woman" that said if they had the management team like Kroger accross the street they woudl be busy all the time. Let me ask you one question, when was the last time you bought your groceries online? They could have no management, 1 employee and zero customer service and still be ringing up sales ALL DAY LONG. My wife 23 years of her life waiting on customers just as yourself. Now I understand why she wanted out of retail. I am not saying that Kmart is the best place to shop, to each his own, but I am saying that even though you have a problem in ANY store, does not matter what store it is. You should always ask yourself after you get pissed off at someone, "Would I like it if they treated me that way"

I went to Super K-mart in Tinley Park, Illinois and it's was the worst store I had ever shop at. The produce section smelled like rotten food, some of the item were outdated. I will never shop at K-mark again.

Wow, I guess I'll leave my complaint here with all the others. I guess none of you at Kmart care at all. But let me leave this so that it will be included with the rest of the body of evidence that seems to suggest why Kmart is going out of business. So I went to Kmart last Friday evening to buy some clothing. The cashier who rang me up was very rude and apathetic. This child which was what he was scanned my items then turned his back on me and was busy looking off into space, never mentioned how much I owed. So I just stood there for about a minute. After that he spun around acting very impatient and started for the card machine. I asked him,"How much is it?" I finally knew what I was being charged and gladly paid. I mentioned, "Gee that's good to know." This punk ass was the rudest piece of crap I have encountered at a register in a long time. When I called to complain to the manager on the following Monday, I was put on hold in perpetua, the last time for ten minutes. The store manager Steve Branch couldn't be bothered to take my call. That's when I decided to reach the corporate offices, but lo and behold I am just one of hundreds of X customers leaving sad stories here. Kmart, you suck and don't deserve to have any business or success. And the same goes for your managers and emplyees. Sears is better off without you. Goodbye, never shopping there again. And I do intend to tell EVERYBODY I know.

Ive worked at Kmart since October of 2011, and i like it. Ive worked at alot of places and my job at kmart has been the best one. I am young, but really it has been. Ive been reading past complaints and they all are problems my coworkers and I are aware of. We dont have enough employees at our store. The lines are long. and to much work is put onto one person daily. the shifts at my store are long and in a day you could work up to 10 hours. Layaway could always be better but you have a contract and if you cant pay on the date you agreed to, we hold it for TWO WEEKS! thats plenty of time to figure out what you want to do! We cant hold everyones layaway forever! ONLINE ORDERS ARE NOT CONTROLLED BY THE STORE IF YOU PLACE A ORDER ONLINE AND IT SAYS WE HAVE IT THEN THAT SAME NIGHT SOMEONE BUYS IT BEFORE WE PULL IT OFF THE SHELF THATS UNCONTROLLABLE and thats more like a COMPANY ISSUE NOT A STORE ISSUE! WE HAVE TO FOLLOW RULES! The prices are always wrong? Well most of the time a customer will find a item in the wrong place, (ALMOST EVERY PRICE CHECK I HAVE DONE WAS BECAUSE OF THE CUSTOMER EITHER MISREADING THE SALE SIGN OR CONFUSING ANOTHER ITEMS SALE SIGN WITH A DIFFERENT ITEM OR A OUTDATE SALE SIGN WHICH IS OUR FAULT THE SIGN WAS NOT REMOVED I WILL APOLOGIZE FOR IT AND HONOR THE SIGN NO MATTER WHAT THE PRICE IS AT THE MOMENT!) and unforuntely we cant control what happens through out the day and where customers happen to lay something ex. putting regular priced clothing on clearance racks! Another issue is the return policy! ITS BETTER THAN MOST STORES! MY kmart is a NO RECEIPT NO REFUND! BUT if you used your shop your way reward card we can look it up, or if you paid credit we can look it up! YOU HAVE 90 DAYS THATS THREE ENTIRE MONTHS TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE THATS MOST THAN MOST STORES HAVE! SO the lines are long at most stores there is electronics layaway jewelery the service desk or atleast one cashier open together that is FIVE registers and most of the time LAZY PEOPLE DONT WANT TO WALK TO A REGISTER TO CHECK OUT SO WHOS PROBLEM REALLY IS THAT? I have heard so many complaints from customers that come to me and say YOU NEED TO OPEN MORE REGISTERS NOW? IS THERE MORE CASHIERS? Well I cant pull cashiers out of my pocket now can i? NO. I just work there! I do the best i can and try to give good customer service IT is HARD when people wait in line say there never coming back make a scene and then are the first customer in your face the next day! customers who have outdated receipts or have no receipt or have nothing to prove they purchased from kmart try to say the policy sucks!? REALLY people! Dont pay their layaway then wonder why we put it back!? REALLY? GET OVER IT! IF YOU DONT LIKE KMART DONT SHOP THERE! WE DO HAVE GOOD PRICES WE DO TRY TO TAKE CARE OF EVERYONE!BUT ITS HARD WHEN EVERYONE IS COMPLAINING ABOUT EVERY THING UNDER THE SUN! YOU GO INTO WALMART YEAH YOU ARE GOING TO FIND 100 ASSOCIATES ON THE FLOOR BUT DO THEY EVEN SAY HELLO? 100 REGISTERS OPEN BUT DID YOU REALLY PAY WHAT YOU SHOULD OF PAID! DOES WALMART HAVE A STORE CARD WHERE THEY GIVE YOU MONEY BACK ON EVERY PURCHASE YOU MAKE IN THE STORE OR EVEN INSTORE COUPONS!? NOOO I WOULD CHOSE KMART OVER WALMART ANYDAY!
