I love Kmart and I hope that people will stop crying about it. In this world it is impossible to make everyone happy all the time. Thank you Kmart for keeping Walmart from taking over....well the world.
I had applied for a job at kmart,and I got the first interview it went very well, but before hand it was bad nobody was at layaway for me to tell them I was here so I had to hunt down a worker to help me. The second was horrible was hell I came in they were are you ready and started to ask me the first questions from the first interview and I told them this is suppose to be my second one, they said I had to come back another time cause their computer all of a sudden broke down. The third that I had was on tues of this week at 10:30 was horrible the women was rude rushing me so that she could go to lunch with her friend, treated me badly. I got a call today about orientation she was very rude on the phone told me that I needed to come this saturday at 11am for orientation when she knows I can't then said oh come another time when we call then hung up the phone. Nobody told me their names except for one person and it was shelly this was at the IL Bradley kmart 60915. I feel like there treating me different because of my race and this is complete bullshit. I want this resolved and for them to delete all information of me in their system now I don't want them to steal my information and or they actually hire me with respect. Kmart is a dump in gulfport, and the manager is very racist, and treats individual people with favoritism. Very unprofessional. I would Not recommend this Kmart to ANYONE. The manager needs to be replaced.
I do believe it is imppossible to receive at least a little bit of customer service at any Kmart I have been in, I'm not asking for someone to go out of their way, just "some" decent customer service!!! I have tried for 20 minutes to reach someone at the Elkview, WV Kmart, finally when someone did answer the phone they were so rude I truly wanted say, "our we having a bad day"? Maybe if they had more employees working the checkout area service would be so bad? I hate to step foot in that place unless I absolutey have too!!! I'd rather drive 45 minutes to the mall than 5 minutes to my hometown Kmart!!!!!
When you visit the Kmart on Iowa in Riverside California you can always expect a long wait at check out. This time I was returning and waited 15 minutes before I finally left. One girl for check with a customer (not the employee's fault)and there were four of us in line. Not one person said they would be right with us, acknowledged us, etc. I finally asked if someone else could help and the one girl told me they were trying to find another cash drawer!!!! Poor management! Drawers should always be available when there is a rush. I'm switching to Walmart of Target.
I was at the Berwick store today, and the customer service lady (Dana Grosz) was very rude and was swearing in front of customers. All because she was on the phone with her boyfriend and didn't have time to h help customers. At my place of work this is not allowed. Can I have a job? Is this attitude part of your training or simply standard practice? Either way you have lost several customers and I will spread the word to the public!!!!!!! Via all means necessary! The entire experience was absolutely unnecessary!!! And very embarrassing to say the least. Where its the professionalism in your company?
I work at Kmart I agree with all the customers about the fact that alot of the associates are rude and ignore the customers and full around. When respective associates comment about it to the lazy assoicates the lazy associates are rude to them and even threaten other associates. If you want to be full-time forget about it most the leads don't know their job. People who are close to having a degree in management do not get any respect. Don't bother working hard in the work place because it don't get you anywhere they just work to you the bone and you don't get reaises.
What happened to Kmart. Macon Ga Kmart has terrible customer service. A friend of mine was signed up for their points and when he went to use them. he was told he had none and that a store employee had added their name to his number and used his points. I guess its Target or Walmart even though Kmart is very close to where I live.
About 2:30 pm today, August 11, 2012, I went into the rest room at the Super K-mart in Mentor,Ohio only to discover there was zero toilet tissue in either stall. I then went to the bakery department as they are the closest to the restroom and informed a female employee to which she responded that she knew, but the person had left that was responsible for it. When I asked why someone couldn't take a roll in there she stated she would tell someone. I waited and waited outside the restroom while advising women before they entered. As a last resort I called the store from my cell phone and asked to speak to the manager. When she answered the phone I told her the problem and she asked if I was in there now. I explained I was waiting outside the restroom and telling women there was no tissue before they entered. She said she would take care of it. No apology and instead of bringing it herself so she could apologize in person, she sent a young man who seemed quite embarrassed by the entire situation. Maybe it is time for these big box stores to get back to the basics and look for employees with common sense and a good work ethic instead of college degrees. I am certain there are many well qualified people looking for a management position that would not have a problem with bringing toilet tissue to a restroom or actually paying attention to what goes on. Finally, while my cashier was waiting for a price check I decided it would be faster if I went myself to get the price, which I did. On my way I passed the service desk only to observe three employees standing there talking to one another. Too much time on their hands? Hey, check the bathrooms?
I work at a Kmart in Michigan as a cashier and I was called into my managers office. I sat down and he asked why if I knew why I had been called back. I simply said "no" and he proceeded to explain that he observed me outside collecting carts. He said that I was "gaping" along slowly (which I feel is the most improper word usage ever!) and that once i realized I was being watched I immediately increased my pace to one of urgency. I apologized and told him it would not happen again. He proceeded to issue my a write up for the incident. Now a couple of details that should be considered: #1 the temperature at the time of the incident was 93 degrees not counting the 60% humidity, #2 I am a hefty gentleman at 265 lbs, and #3 I was fully aware of his presence outside and was not trying to move slow while he wasn't looking or anything remotely like that. He explained that that's why I'm on checkouts as opposed to the sales floor (where I prefer to work) because I need "constant supervision or I do not move at an adequate pace" I'm a big guy and, yeah, I may not move as fast as everyone else but I make sure my job gets done. I just feel that this was wrong.
I was in a kmart store in St. Louis Mo on saturday 8/4/12. The service was terrible. There was no one around to help or even ask a question. Many employees were just standing aroud playing talking loud about personal things in their life and they were using profanity.no one seemed to be supervising the employee's. I was in line and tried to purchase a lounge chair, it did not have a price on it. the cashier called for someone from the department for a price check. No one responded for over 20 minutes, so I went back to the department to try and get another chair with a price on it, none of the chairs had a price tag. Finaly I asked to see a manager. The manager came in from outside somewhere approached me smelling like a cigarette factory, she was being paged overhead, the place seemed to be in total caos. This store should be closed, or get enough employees that care about the consumer. Will never shop at any kmart store.
I have to say that I have never ever seen a kmart like the one in Oak Hill, Wv. They have the most rude and hateful managers I have ever seen. Joshua Williams is one of the most hateful disresptful managers I have ever seen, he doesnt even deserve to be in a manager position. He should be in a bathroom cleaning out toilets because that fits his attitude, and let me tell you the head cashiers and the people that you have working the service desk are about useless, noncaring, employees I have ever seen. If you dont get that store under control of some real people with feelings, then that store is not gonna make it. I have talked to several around our community and they agree that they will not go back till the store makes some major changes, and it better start soon. If you would just take the time to read all your complaints from employees and ask around the Beckley and Oak Hill store about your store manger then you would see the real side to this man, and many others. You cant just walk in the store and look around because he knows when you are coming and he will not act like this in front of you all. So take my advice and ask your staff........Thank you for your time
i was just in kmart in brunswick,ohio and the lady at the service desk was very Rude! this kmart is always rude and i will never ever shop there again.
I work in the Kmart in Decatur Illinois.I have read numerous complaints that are posted on this wall and it is disturbing. Kmart is a great store to shop in and as a cashier I feel that it is all the store employees commitment to make sure our customers are satisfied and leave our store with a smile. I apologize to all that have had a bad shopping experience. I am sorry to read some that will no longer shop in the Kmart stores due to the lack of service that they received. I would just like to add on this page that the Kmart's in Illinois go above and beyond to make sure our customers receive the shopping experience they deserve. I am soon to leave Kmart to finish college, but this is a good lesson to be learned about caring for customer's needs.
very sad I went to kmart in new Kensington pa today head store manager jerry talks to his own employees like garbage from what I am told this isn't the first complaint about him many people will stop coming there .
I shop at the Port Charlotte, FL store from time to time and notice they NEVER have any sanitizer wipes for the carts when you enter the store. There is ALWAYS an empty spot for them, but it never has any. I make it a point to complain to the clerks about it and ask why they can't just walk back and get a container off the shelf in the cleaning supplies, but they never do. I've even complained to the manager and have cited studies where 75% of shopping carts have fecal matter on them. I've seen women changing their babies diapers in the carts, and leave dirty diapers, etc. Really, K-Mart. Is it too much to ask to provide wipes for your customers? Looking at all of the unhappy customers I guess I won't be surprised if nothing is done about his however. Looks like I'll just have to quit shopping at K-Mart. Really, I wish they'd close already. Their stores are dark, dingy, dirty, outdated, and the help is rude, slow and stupid. Can't wait till this company bites the dust. I suspect it won't be long.
I went In the next day an my boots beeped they asked for my reciept an I didnt have it on me. So I got charged. Well I found my reciept an I'm livid an going to lawyer up!!!!!!!!!!! Kmksoldier@comcast.net
I wish I could post a picture to go with this review. I am in Kmart in Gastonia nc and my daughter is crying because a pair of boots I was going buy her that the sign says $6.99 but it is for a different area on the rack and her boots are $19.99. Funny thing is, I bought my son a pair of shoes positioned the exact same way. Their sign said $24.99 and they rang up as $29.99 but they honored the sign and sold them to me for the sign price of $24.99. Guess they figure they were only wrong when it cost them $5 but they drew the line at $13. Mr.elliot the store manager seems think a lot like leaders input government. They're only willing to admit a mistake as along as it doesn't them too much.
Do not ever buy a large product from Kmart. We bought a TV with an extended warranty almost 2 years ago. Now the TV has lines going down it and trying to get a claim sent to the repair people is like an act of congress and on top of that when I called for the 4th time the guy hung up on me. I will NEVER buy anything like that again from a Kmart store or sister store.
Im pissed at my local kmart in Iron Mountain,Mi. Due to the poor management for one and another is my woman has been working there for over 10yrs. Now and is not only still part time but continuously is passed over for promotions. She applies for lead positions and is passed over by ppl with less then 2-3u yrs. And gets paid shit wage. Im currently trying to get her to apply to Walmart. If kmart cant appreciate a great hardworking dedicated employee maybe its time for change.
