Cash Registers
Please bring back the cash registers where I can pay in cash or credit card and where they are sales people. I HATE wondering the store looking for an employee with an ipod to ring me up, I get no receipt when I leave the building, there is no counter so the employee has to find a table with clothes on it to ring me up and uses a smushed up bag that was in her pocket. Is this really the BEST JCP can do???
St.Johns Bay
Bring back the St.John's Bay woman's plus polo's and t-shirts please. The Polo's are great for my work. The new JCP is flimsy junk.
The quality of all the products at J C Penny has definitely gone down. The remodeling gave the store a more contemporary look but the quality of the items suffered. Needless to say, I will never shop at this store.
Joe Fresh
My JCP opened a new shop as they like to call it, Joe Fresh, really bright colors, skimpy little shirts. They 2 people in the shop all day when I was there on Saturday. I needed some help in another part of the store nobody was available to help me. I asked one of people in Joe Fresh if they could help me and I was told they are to maintain Joe Fresh and really can't leave this shop! .... OK Well I really needed some sales assistance so off to Dillards I went.
Modest clothing
What happened to the modest clothing at JC Penney's? I am trying to find a dress and all they have are short, skimpy dresses. Even my teenage daughter says she will not wear those dresses. If they want business they need to be different from everyone else. Everyone else has short skimpy clothing too. If they would put modest looking clothing on their racks it would sell!! Very disappointing.
Furniture
I recentlly ordered two different size headboards for my bedrooms. The headboards came in on time and were perfect to size and place. I received a curtesy call on each stating time of arrival. Delivery people were very polite and professional. I will purchase again from JCP.
Return policy
what ever happened to no reciept returns policy? I had purchase a Chi flat iron in the salon less then a year ago only one side of it was getting hot.I brought it back to the store since I didn't have my reciept the manager was arguing with me back and forth and she called me a liar to my face. I was very insulted and disappointed by the customer service I had recieved.
no longer My Store
I've shopped regularly at jcp for 50 years! it's clear i am no longer a target customer. i can't find a simple quality cotton tee shirt like the St. john's Bay was. I'm assaulted by VERY loud rap/pop music that makes me want to run, not shop. Not a single pair of panties will come up to my actual waist. The sales people are helpful and friendlier than before but the selection of merchandise is inferior, tuned to subteen girls, not women, and not of the quality i used to find at the stores. After 50 years, I will no longer be shopping at jcp.
Service
JCP needs more sales people on the floor. I had to wait 25 mins for somebody to come to the childrens department to see if they had another size in the back on a school uniform. When the sales person got there she said nope everything is out and she walked awaty ... so why was I told to wait in the childrens department for somebody to come out????
Not Fair
JC Penny has been a good company to work for up until they started scheduling 5 hours a week to me and many other people whom of which have children. They said they don't have a budget but instead they start hiring more people? I have been working for them for a little over half a year and now Its not quite fair that people that have been working there are getting hardly any hours. How are people suppose to surive off these peoples negligence?
Bring back the old J.C. Penneys
I miss my old J.C.Penneys. I don’t like the way the new stores run…there is no CUSTOMER SERVICE anymore.
SHUT IT DOWN !
Ordered a suit for my son, took 12 days to get to the store and when I finally called ( JCP could not be bothered) they said it was in and I could pick up at "Customer Service" ( HA !) . 40 minute wait to find out that the pants were lost. Told me to wait while they "looked" for them - after another 20 minutes a clerk informed that I " had to move 'cause she had real customers to wait on" and needed that register. Left the store without the suit and without my money...great scam !!!! I'm very impressed !! I give JCP 6 months before insolvency... Sell your shares NOW!!!
Hot Mess
JCP is a hot mess. Anyway you slice it it is a hot mess. The store is a hot mess, the people that work there are over worked and the store is understaffed which is a hot mess. JCP is not worth my time anymore. I've started shopping at dillards and bbb.
Coupons
Thanks for bringing the coupons back your getting better now bring back the registers. I received my $10 off $25 coupon I was so excited, I went down to my local Penney's and found a bunch of stuff to purchase, too bad I had to wait on line 20 mins! Also you need to have sales people on the floor!
Why I believe you are losing business.
I have been a faithful J C Penney shopper for many years. I believe the many changes you have made recently are hurting your store. I have always done most of my shopping for clothing at my local store. I have always been very happy with the selection and quality. The changes you have made lately have hurt business because I think most shoppers were happy with the way things were. One thing that has always been a great way to get me, and I am sure others, into the store is the occasional $10.00 off coupons you would send in the mail. You used to have excellent sales too. Also the fancy fliers you are sending look nice , but I am sure they are not a cost effective way to advertise. I am concerned my store will go out of business, and for me that would be a real shame. Please consider going back to the way things were. Disappointed shopper
What a mess
Since the changes made at JC Penneys, it is not worth my time to go into a Penneys store. There is nothing in them anymore. Took my shopping to Macy's.
Horrible Customer Service as JCP Salon
If I can give a ZERO I would. Horrible customer service. Do not ever go to JCP Salon. They lose your appointments, they blame you. They do not honor promotions that you scheduled with even if they promised they would. Horrible service. I just got off the phone with management and even them don't know anything about customer service. What do I expect from a JCP Salon. I will never go back to them ever again. They just lost 7 customers just with me and my family.
JCP Store in Lubbock, Texas and the lack of Cust Service and products
JCP really SUCKS!!! I am interested in purchasing a Bissell carpet cleaner. I live in Clovis, NM it's a two hour drive from there. I use the internet as it's a great tool to see if your stores have the products I need. I searched for the carpet cleaner and store and it said there was one IN STOCK. You're website lied to me, and you lied to me! The Lubbock store did not have it in stock. I wasted my gas and time!!!
Saturday Night Live
I contacted Penney's about the SNL segment, Djesus Uncrossed and have been watching for some public announcement as to your intentions to continue to support SNL or not. I have not read or seen anything on TV News. I have read here in the comments that you have withdrawn your sponsorship. If that is true, thank you. A very public announcement would be appreciated and helpful in the ever-increasing attack on religion. And please - - stock some styles for ladies who dress like ladies.
I never shopped in Penney's (Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Lord & Taylor) but liked the new logo, the new catalog and love Sephora . . . so I stopped in! LOVE the look of the store and some of the brands are really great: Joe Fresh, Nicole Miller and Mango. Sales people were warm, happy and helpful. I wish you much success!
