Since JCP is in a renewal of sorts, I felt I needed to put my two cents in. I had shopped at my JCP in several months but... The new look is wonderful. I have been a customer for decades. I am 58. My daughters whom have 5 children between them, we're in the same state of mind as me. I love going there now. It's so bright, not all crammed in on the racks and the prices are not bad. The people are very friendly . Along with my praise I have to tell you, the new mailers are beautiful too but wow, I am not 21 anymore neither is my husband. I noticed it with the pre Easter one and I received a new one this week. Still the same. Way too geared for the young set . I have observed that for some reason the media is also trying to gear things tothe25 to 50 cloud butlastichecked, there weremoreofus over50. Just don't want youtomissthemark again. Keep up the" good work" and don't forget me.!

Bring back our Store

Please consider bringing JCP back to Baraboo, Wisconsin! It was a staple here since the late 1920's and we were loyal customers and employees! Many of us don't make it to the JCP anymore as it is a 45 minute drive away! Glad the former CEO has returned!Yay for JCP!!!!!

JC Penny have to keep the strategy that worked for them and add new ideas to bring the old costumer back and most important is to bring new costumer. I have several ideas.

Business solutions

I have stopped shopping at JCP due to the changes in their men's clothing, especially Stafford an that little horse symbol which is the new line. My question to you: WHAT IS GOING ON ON THE MEN'S STORE AT JCP!! I see no Van Heusen or Stafford. These new lines are not for middle aged men you are only focusing on the younger ages, we are still out there guys bring back Stafford and Van Heusen and not those FITTED clothes in which only a twenty year old can fit. The young teenagers do not have the money.

Bad, Bad, Bad

I will never shop the JC Penney store at the Morgantown Mall, Morganotwn WV again, I have shopped at JC Pennys for years but the had an employee (cashier) at JC Pennys took my life history talking me into saving 20% to apply for JC Penny crdit card, after he had my drivers License, Soc. Security Number, employment, wages, finances...for instant credit, she rang up my sale then said I need your debit card, cash or a check to pay for this sale....I questioned why she did not want to take my Chase card in the begining, talked me into instant crediti with Jc Penneys....then said it was only to use for any charges I made after this sale and only for today (04/09/13) I also said I did not want to pay cash, did not have a debit card and did not carry my check book, she said I have no way to undo what I just done....I was so mad pulled out my debit card paid and left the store I will never buy at JC Penney store again!!!

Replacing ceo

I just wanted to tell corporate That I absolutely loved what the ceo of the past yr. is doing for jcp. I totally support him, and I think its a mistake to replace him. We who cant afford to shop nordstroms and other dept. stores depend on jcp and it has been fabulous to walk into the new store and find brand names at resonable prices!! And the stores were starting to look great!! What more could we as consumers want! Corporate should have been supporting this ceo for the huge difference in a short time!! Shame on them!!

They need to change the stores

I used to be a regular shopper at Pennys for women's clothes and other items. When they changed the all the new stuff, i quit going, long gone were my family friend, comfy store, nice salespeople and clothes i could wear. Along came the antiseptic look that didn't look comfortable at all, those new brands who wears them. Unless they bring back bali bras, Worthington, Easy Street, St. Johns Bay, Gloria Vanderbilt, clothes that real everyday working women could wear, i will boycott until they change, lots of other places to shop.

Horrible. No wonder they are doing so bad. We ordered a couch from the store on 12/30/2012 and they still haven't gotten the order correct. Was promised that they would take care of us and resolve all of our issues, instead they created more. WILL NEVER SHOP AT A JCP STORE AGAIN....BEWARE

Your clothes and ads have been improving but your website is old. If you are a women looking for clothes the pictures of the clothes make them look like something I, as a working woman would not wear. Look at some other sites where the entire outfit is shown.

Prior to your current CEO's hiring, I had become one of the most loyal JC Penney's customers, ditching all other retailers I had frequented in the past, because I could always find what I needed at Penney's. Whether it was a stylish outfit for someone in their fifties like myself, to baby clothes for my grandchildren, furnishings for my home, or gifts for friends and family. Then eighteen months ago, the bottom fell out from under my shopping heaven! The changes made by your current CEO were disastrous! Gone was everything that made JC Penney's a favorite place to shop, replaced with garrish and dull prints, the dress department only carrying garments suitable for the 15-25 year old market, and designer duds that were truly duds. I stopped going there. It wouldn't be hard to prove if you looked at my charge statements. Lately, I go through the store and leave empty handed. It's visually drab and the inventory is downright ugly. Nothing there I would even venture to purchase. Bring back your old marketing department, buyers, and advertisement crew!!! Bring back the incentives and coupons, bring back merchandise suitable for all age groups that have style, color, and tried and true trends. You will earn my business back along with thousands of others. JC Penney's will continue to regain it's strength and become the retailer's icon it has always been.

JCP.COM order/ship to store

Be careful with the JCP>COM orders ship to store. I got the run around about an order that I placed to ship to the Memphis/Polo Ground (Winchester) store. The manager was also very rude.

I worked at the JcPenney in Longview, TX for 8 days. They had me working the register my SECOND day and acted like it was a problem to.help me when I asked for help. After complaining to a manager about needing help learning what to do a coworker called me a "Winey little c*NT" and they continually harassed me to the point I had to quit and would cry every day at work. Terrible store to work for and shop at. Shame on JcPenney.

Terrible Manager in Cupertino, CA!!!

Visited store # 0427 in Cupertino, CA and witnessed the store manager CJ talking down to an employee to the point it looked to be harassment. I even emailed corporate and I got a response from a member of the store's leadership team. After I explained that it was not of his concern and that CJ himself or higher management should of contacted me I finally heard back from this so called manager. No need to get into details here, but just know that because of this behavior several customer's decided to shop elsewhere and will continue to do so. I will never support a store who is respresented by an egotistical piece of garbage!!

Men's clothing

I have been shopping for my clothes at JCP since I was a teenager and up until know I have been satisfied. My question to you: WHAT IS GOING ON ON THE MEN'S STORE AT JCP!! I had a terrible expereince yestersay at our store in Amherst NY. I am going to contact the corp offices. the short story is incompetent workers who dont want to do anything. Mess sheleves and racks- workers are too young to give a acare about the futrue of the company!!!

Consumer Advice

I can tell JCP Headquarters exactly why the company is going under and what to do about it. For starters, I am a 58 year old woman who's shopped at JCP for decades. No more. I wandered around a local store for 1.5 hours with a $10 coupon in hand and could not fine ONE THING in the store I wanted to pay the extra $15 for in order to use the coupon...not for my home, myself, my adult children, or my grandchildren. Who in the world are the buyers, especially for girls? The JCP clothes are flat out ugly...something you'd see on a clearance rack in a discount store. I have many suggestions as a consumer that would get me back in the door. As of right now, after 40+ years, I'll be going elsewhere.

dresses?

We live in a small town. My husband and I were going to shop for an Easter dress for me. We drove 40 miles to the nearest town with a mall. He asked me where I wanted to start looking for a dress. I said Penney's of course. Last year I bought at least 6 beautiful dresses there. They had the best selection over anyone else. When we walked into the bare store with nothing on the walls and very few racks, I was astounded. We finally found the very small dress selection. Needless to say I didn't buy anything in that store. I will not waste my time by shopping there again. Thanks J C Penney for ruining a good thing.

diamond earings

My husband brought me a pair of $2200 diamond earings for my birthday last month. I wear them all the time, I was in Penneys and wanted to get them cleaned, the girl told me without my care plan receipts on me she would have to charge me for the cleaning! I asked her to look it up on my credit card, she said she couldn't she needed the receipts in hand. Needless to day this was the girl who sold us the earings. Good Memory. I'm thinking about returning them, I'll be sure to bring my receipts.

The new concept

I love the way jcp is now, no coupons no sales. I live in Waxahachie and shop at jcp for everything. Don't know what the public's problem is but I do hope you don't change the way it is. I hate coupons and hate the crowds at sales and I stay away from them. Just my 65 year old opinion.

your product and discontinue of St johns bay

I have been a customer since I was a child and now I am a mother and career woman at the same time. I feel you have left me out as far as my entire wordrobe is concerned all my casual and work attire is gone since you do not have the line of St Johns Bay. My work pants and blouses are very important. I really can't shop at your store for my attire. This christmas that passed there reaaly was not much to choose from for first time in almost 30 years. Please don't forget your customers who are in their 40's.
