The new ads on TV have to be the worst ever! Please take them off the air. A screaming TV is NOT a good thing! And, to boot, it doesn't even explain why they are screaming.....or does the noise drown out the reason? As my husband said "This could be totally counter productive for their advertising program". Please STOP!

Your advertising company, as well as your advertising staff should be fired. The new ad on t.v. is not only annoying (we turn it off) but with all of the screaming "NOOOOOOO's" and then the JC Penney logo shown, is the most negative form of advertising I've ever seen. I still don't understand what it's all about except to say "no" to JC Penney. I am an ordinary citizen who shops at your stores and could definitely come up with a more positive and understandable commercial. Very baaaaaad business decision.

Heard about J. C. Penney's innovative new pricing strategy - was anticipating shopping there, but after being assaulted with the idiot SCREAMING commercials I will not be going into a Penney's store, and I cannot imagine how your PR people came up with such an ANNOYING commercial. Why not introduce your new policy with something pleasant???!!

Please tell your advertising team that the new commercial for 2-2-11 is so annoying that every time it is on I have to mute my tv. Whoever passed this commercial to be televised obviously didn't listen to all the screaming in the commercial! If anything at it has made me want to refrain from shopping at your store because I have become so agitated by this commercial.

I hate the new J C Penny commerical with all the screaming! When it comes on TV,I use the mute button. This turns me off to Penneys. It does not make me want to shop at Penney's stores!!! Please Please Please take this stupid commerical off!!!

I am very dissapointed in JC Penny. All I wanted was a letter faxed to my bank saying that on 12/30 the amoung of 206.78 was accidentally chaged and voided. I expected JCPenny to say "Oh sorry for the inconvienence, yes we will fax that over and get you taken care of. But NOOO! This was an unauthorized transaction, the guy Ray (Roy) did not even tell me this happened. Apparently he charged my account, then voided it and then charged my account the correct amount....so not only was 59.95 taken out, also 206.78 was taken out. It is Now Jan 3rd and after 2 hours (Not exagerrating), 5 people later with 5 different explanations.......I am told sorry, we just can't do that. We see that it was voided but we can not fax your bank anyting......We are sorry and understand your frustration.....I have to wait to see if it drops off my account which will be another 2 days..... This is not acceptable! Your people made the error!!! I was also asked "Why do you need the money today?" What kind of question is that? I responded for Gas other bills...how humiliating to explain that I just dont have a spare 200 dollars that I can sit on! I will PAY this card off this month. Cancel it and NEVER shop at JCPenny's again! I will be sharing this with my facebook family as well!!

I have had a JCP account for about 6 months and have never been able to access my account online to pay my bill. So each month I call customer care and pay over the phone. Until today they have been kind enough to waive the 9.95 fee to pay my account with a live person. The rep i spoke with today was not going to waive the fee. I asked for a supervisor and was told sorry cant do it... It is not my issue with not being able to access my account information online with the error message originating from JCP site. So I closed the account. I realize that I am but a extremely small cog, but every penny helps in this economy not matter who or how large you are...

They keep dropping their fliers on my doorsteps or in the lobby, twenty five of them, even though only four people live at the address. Have emailed them numerous times to stop delivering the flyers, to no avail.

the store in lakewood, ca has the worst management! You call for a manager it takes them about 30 mins to get to you and by that time all the customers are gone. They schedule 1 person per quad so goodluck getting a restroom break, or 15 minute break. I've had 8 hr shifts and been told I only get 1 15 min break. We don't get our schedules until friday evenings so we can't plan our next week. There's alot more i would like to vent about on here, but i think i'll be filing a stress claim on this horrible company.

I won a contest for returning Iraq/Afghan veterans and received $200 worth of JC Penney gift certificates. I tried to order $200 worth of stuff, but lots of items shown online weren't available, so I only got $75 worth. Fair enough so far--I redeemed the rest at our local store. Here's where it got interesting. I got a call from Malik, who said the order is on hold because it wasn't paid for. I tried to give him the gift certificate numbers, but he said they weren't right (they were). I called back to the phone number I was originally given, and the girl said she'd straighten it out and call me back. She did neither. I called again today and talked to Carla and Helen. Carla said she'd square it away and call me back "in about a half hour"... now 4 hours later, no call yet. In a few more days, I'll call again and see if the order has been sent. The real shame of this is--JC Penney was doing something nice for a veteran, and their people have just made me mad.

JC Penney has the worst customer service I was shopping and they ran a dressing cart over my calf and I had a large cut me and I started bleeding and noone even cared to help me or bring any first aid . I had to hobble over to the cashier to ask for some paper towel to put pressure on the injury and request them to call for some help for me. I ended up having to go to the emergency room for treatment and get a tetanus shot. This was by birthday gift to spend my JC Penney gift cards I received ; however, I will definitely not return to their store to shop because of their lack of caring attitude. Be careful especially if you have children . The employees don't care

I was hired 3 weeks ago at one of Maine's JCPenneys. I really like it, haven't encountered any problems with any of my supervisors or managers. We receive lots of praise. We have to announce over two-way radio when we get a new JCP rewards card member just so management can tell you good job, etc. But, at our store, we *have* to do things that make it more likely that we'll get those credit apps or get mentioned in a survey. We HAVE to ask if "this will be on your JCPenney's card" it's a little humiliating, but it's not really that bad. We also HAVE to circle the savings and write our names at the bottom of the receipt next to the survey. By the time I've torn off the receipt, most people have their hand out to take it..but I gotta slap it down and draw all over it before they are dismissed. I know it is a pain for some customers, so SORRY! :/ just know I have to. The only gave 4 stars is, for one, I have only been here for 3 weeks. And for another, I am hired for the holiday season. So, no guarantees for me after 12/31/2011. I am hoping to get rehired because at the moment I have completely open availability for them (no choice, only way to swoon any potential employers sometimes) & if I become more than seasonal, I feel I will have more footing to alter my availability and to ask for a raise. $8/hr isn't much, but my first December check will be almost $600, so I'm getting enough hours! Maybe I'll be back as a Merry Employee around New Year's with more, but that is all I can think of for now. <b>~Thankful Employee~</b>

I made a purchase with a Visa card and was asked if I would like to register it on my Rewards profile. I gave the associate my e-mail and was given a receipt in return with a reference #. When I didn't receive the promised e-mail to finish the registration, I went through the help on the rewards site and was told to call the 888# to solve the problem. When I called, no one knew what reference # I was talking about let alone how to use the reference # to bring up the transaction and see what the snafu was. They said it must be a "store thing" and I should call them. The store manager had no idea what the reference # referred to or how to look it up either saying, "It must be something the 888# is doing." Really? Why have a "reference" number that no one knows how to use or even what it refers to? Is this lack of training? Or, has no one from the top thought to train? This kind of stuff just irks me to no end.

tuesday November 15 at your Columbus IN store you let go of our Manager after 30 plus years. He was devoted. He put his whole live and soul in JCP. He started right out of High School. 30 plus years! He was a very good Manager and our store and customers thought the world of him. I hope you guys can sleep tonight. I use to think JCP was better then all the other retailers out there you just changed my mind about this company. He was Devoted and you just killed a person tonight he gave is heart and soul to you people. I just don't know how you sleep.

this is true .i dont think corp knows how bad itis .maybe they should try undercover boss and see how bad the management really is or they just dont care. we shall see

JCPENNEY REALY SUCKS A BIG ONE! I'M A PROFESSIONAL SALESPERSON AND MUST DRESS EVERYDAY, SUIT, TIE, DRESS SHIRT, ETC. I USED BUY THE STAFFORD EXECUTIVE LINE OF CLOTHING EXCLUSIVELY, BUT JCP NO LONGER CARRIES IT. IN ITS PLACE IS A LOT OF CHEAP IMPORTED CRAP THAT NEITHER FITS WELL OR HOLDS UP. GOODBYE JCPENNEY, HELLO DILLARDS AND NORDSTROM.
