Imagine if JCPenney played the loud audio of their screaming commercials in their stores. It would drive away whatever customers they have left! Are you listening JCPENNEY???!!! OK....good idea for a flash mob to record the commercial on smart phones or louder devices, put in earplugs, and go into the stores and play it loud....over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again!
Just had to mute my tv again because of the disgusting screaming commercial. You're going to go broke if it continues because it turns people off and my family for one, won't shop there until it's removed. Fire your ad people, they're waaaaay overpaid and stupid to boot!
I do not like your new advertisement!!! The screaming is offensive and what is the point? I mute it every time the ad comes on. Of all the commercials and most of them are silly, this is the worse one. You should definitely take this one off.
The only unpleasant part of watching television this weekend was the loud, obnoxious, and out of character ads from JC Penny that were run so often. What a great way to get a loyal public following irritated at a company. If the people in that ad represent the shoppers of JC Penny stores then count me out.
I can't imagine JC Penney actually paying an ad agency to represent them with nothing but ear-splitting, obnoxious, screaming. After the screeching ceased, the only place I wanted to shop was the local drugstore for headache relief. It's nothing short of pathetic.

You used to have some decent merchandise, but the current SCREAMING commercial is so repulsive that I just see the name "J.C. Penney" now, and it makes me cringe and want to run far away. Whatever 'message' you thought you wanted to reach your public with is totally obliterated by the idiotic SCREAMING!!!!!!!! I can't grab the remote fast enough to mute your ads! That makes me dislike your store name even more - because I end up missing the audio when the good ads or programs come back on. I'm sure this screaming will help usher in the end of your business.
Several complaints. Placed an order on January 17th online... status of order shows it was sent out on the 24th and find out today, it won't be on the truck for Store Delivery until tomorrow! Shouldn't take two weeks for an order to arrive, especially since it's a child winter coat and is much needed this time of year! Found out at JC Penney today in-store, your Company has done away with the 15% Survey, which is a very helpful discount in today's economy. Wish a HUGE Multi-Billion Dollar Company could give a little to their Customers to show some appreciation to them! I also have contacted JC Penney several times over the past month about receiving my $15 Dollar Birthday Reward Certificate. Was told over a week ago, it would be sent, considering Birthday was beginning of December and still have NOT received it!! Previous times, once told, 'No,' second time it was under 'Review,' third time, 'would be immediately sent out BUT yet NOT!' Have dealt recently with a couple rude Customer Service Clerks, with uncalled for Remarks during purchasing items.
though this will fall on deaf executive ears i will tell you that you have lost many customers including myself for the hideous screaming ad that comes across our national tv.....how very insensitive and disgusting to resort to advertising such as this...it is beyond bizarre and you need to stop the ad immediately..certainly you must have received numerous complaints from parents and adults everywhere who liken it to a horror film......just get rid of it before you have a class action lawsuit on your hands that not even your attorneys will be able to resolve...we are spreading the word to boycott your store and in this economy i think it would be wise to comply asap
Yours truly is a former Marketing Director for more than 3 decades. The new tv commercials for JCP are offensive to the customers, very disrespectful to potential customers, and says a LOT about JCP as a company NOT with whom to do business IF THAT is the BEST that JCP can do to promote its products. Clearly, whoever the Marketing Director for JCP is, does not KNOW the "marketplace" in the FIRST Place. JCP is LOSING customers NOT GAINING customers with such an inane approach on the air. JCP: Fire your Marketing Director and Ad Agency. Apolgize for being dumb. And, try again.
Iam horrified by your new commercial! It is idiocy for your advertising dept. to have approved this commercial for television. Along with several other companies which have aired the most hideous commercials, what does this teach our children? Acting like a complete idiot is acceptable in today's society? This is not the way to attract more customers, but it is a good way to turn customers away. Stop portraying the consumers as deadheads who fall for this disgusting display called advertising!

your new ad on TV is the "pits"...........whoever wrote this ad, needs to go back to school....it is simply awful......will never go in the store again....Very poor taste.
Please remove the ad with all the screaming. It is so obnoxious.........not only do we mute the sound when it airs, but we will also stop shopping at J. C. Penney until you do remove it. (I don't even understand the point of the commercial!) Are people screaming because they have missed a sale??????
I used to work for JCP and liked the JCP commercials, but this latest one is so annoying and it played every min. Please get a new commercial or get rid of it all together. I realize that JCP has a new CEO who was big with target, so I understand the new idea of getting rid of sales, but this commercial SUCKS! It makes me NOT want to shop there!!!!
2 things: I think that this new UPS/USPS service you are using for shipping is awful. I ordered something on 1/24, and because it starts with UPS and then goes to a USPS facility for delivery, it adds days onto the delivery time. I am supposed to get my order on 2/1, which is 8 days after I ordered it and is not acceptable. If you used just UPS, it would arrive in 3-4 days. It must be much cheaper for you to use this new aggravating service, but it makes the customer experience much more frustrating! The new ad for your pricing strategy is horrendous! I change the channel when it comes on. It portrays women who get barraged by sale notices as idiots; rather, I love sales and coupons and rewards certificates and use them whenever I can. This ad agitates and frustrates. It was very poorly thought out. AND IT IS SO FREAKIN' LOUD!!! It is purely OFFENSIVE. I will probably not visit JCP as often as I used to.
We have for may years shopped at the Pensacola J. C. Penny store on Davis Highway. I would like to state that you have lost five (5) customers because of the annoying advertisement you run on TV. All of that screaming and shouting is totally out of character for any business let alone a clothing store the size of J. C. Penny. I only hope I never have to listen to that mess again.
Regarding your new commercial.........HORRIBLE....you should fire your advertising staff. That ad is costing you millions of dollars and it has to be the worst ad of all times. I'm NOT going to shop at JCP because I'm boycotting a store that thought it was a good idea to harass me while I relaxed in front of my TV. I havent seen the entire ad, I flip to another station the second the screaming begins, someone else told me it was your ad. You are losing your mind and soon your business. You owe us all an apology.
The new JC Penney commercial is HORRIBLE! What JC Penney IDIOT executive thought this disturbing, loud, offensive display was a GOOD IDEA? And just so we're clear... you expect to ATTRACT CUSTOMERS with this garbage? Are you nuts? It scares little children! Our dog runs from the room when it airs, and we have to change the channel because none of us want to ever hear this horrible commercial again! I won't be returning to JC Penney.
